I generally enjoyed the game and was really happy to save Tulsi. I think some of the color choices could've been a bit more intuitive and some definitely needed to have higher contrast (minerals and ions especially). Taking people with color blindness and those with other difficulties telling colors apart, it might have just been a better idea to center the challenge around something else. I think similar pictures with noticeable differences (but not so noticeable you'll always catch them in a few seconds) would generally work better, but I can see how it would be hard to make the good and bad things look alike.

Hey @tatetate thanks for the feedback really appreciate it this is my first ever own game that i made and my first jam too. Initially i wanted all the light colors to be good and dark colors to be bad but the game was easy and since i wasn't gonna add any progressive difficulties, i switched colors to both the sides. That is Good & Bad will have both the light and dark colors to confuse players as remembering them that was a bit tricky will keep the points in mind for the next time Thanks

For future references, you can upload builds to the "Releases" tab on GitHub. The game was overall ok but it is kind of confusing at first. I do think the color differences make the game harder overall but it was hard to tell between some colors sometimes and I think that some other challenge could make it fairer for different players. It not only makes it harder for color-blind people but also people unable to afford color-accurate monitors. It is a creative choice though so don't worry about it too much in the future but keep it in-mind.

The title is awesome! I liked the concept! Different color would lead to a better gameplay! Greato Jobu!

Just here to say that you should consider putting a thumbnail. People are missing on this amazing game!

Really good idea and a solid jam game! I enjoyed it but found they spawned and disappeared a little fast, but as I played, I got better. I liked the simplicity and how it played out well into a good experience overall. The audio was fitting but a bit repetitive. Some improvement ideas would include: don't forget the WebGL port in Unity and a difficulty setting would be nice. And just a note, I found it quite hard to distinguish between the sunlight and pollution (I'm a bit colorblind in this area). Maybe try shapes (e.g. water drops) to combat this. Overall, neat idea and you've done well in turning it into a neat game!

Solid game and a proper challenge! good work!

@clayton-does-things @god-colo @emperor-eagle @sol-roo Thank you guys for such an amazing feedback what i observed is most of the feedback is towards colors being too similar for the good and bad an alternative design for that would be and as suggested is to have different shapes may be since it is difficult for color blinded people. And regarding the WebGL port guys sorry cause i forgot to import it to my unity while i was making the Jam may be i will update it soon Thanks once again.

@clayton-does-things @tatetate @god-colo @sol-roo @emperor-eagle Thanks a lot everyone. Great response for our first game, it really means a lot. This would really encourage us to do more stuff. Will definitely work on the suggestions/feedback you guys have provided us. Next time we would promise a more refined game. Thank you once again. Good Stuff:

Your time management feels exceptional for a first game jam, and it shows in a well-rounded game where nothing feels particularly rushed. I like how you split the colors so that half the good options are lighter and half are darker-- it gives the game an extra bit of challenge. It feels perfectly balanced, with the game feeling difficult but very forgiving.

Areas for improvement:

A more unique, complex central idea could be better to focus on in the future as you start gaining the experience to follow through. I would have liked a quit, menu, or replay function at the end. It didn't really matter for this game, but it might be good to research pause menus for future game jams. A couple more sound effects would have really made the game pop.

Overall:

This feels great for a first game! You already seem to understand how to manage time well in a jam, as shown by your full exploration of a very simple, manageable concept. I'm excited to see your games improve as you gain more experience!

This was a nice, simple little concept that was oddly addicting. Could use some polish but was definitely a lot of fun!

Overall, a pretty good game and a very good entry. Everything is polished and clean, which is something impressive for a jam game. The game play is a little slow and easy, but finding the different between similar colors is an interesting and unique challenge. Very impressive work overall, great job!

@snail @benhumphries @jonaspk Thanks for the feedback guys will make sure to have a better polished game and add the small gameplay mechanics as suggested.
