Wow! Two days? Wow! I really enjoyed it. That's amazing work for 48 hours. Can't imagine how much better it'll get with a bit more time. Loved it! Well done.

Wow! Two days? Wow! I really enjoyed it. That's amazing work for 48 hours. Can't imagine how much better it'll get with a bit more time. Loved it! Well done.
BEAUTIFUL! Simple gameplay. I guess the animals can't really be fed, or at least I didn't figure out how. Fun!
Interesting, but a bit too slow for me.
It was fun. Like a simple Terraria game.
Great graphics. Original idea. Will definitely play again. Nicely done!
Super fun game! Spent more time on this game than almost all the others I've played. I liked the difficulty progression. Well done!
I like the nature of the three different colored blocks. The music got a bit repetitive, but I enjoyed the game overall. The transition upon getting the potato seemed a bit too quick/disorienting. Would love to see more levels. Well done!
Unique idea. Not easy to play, but fun. Great job!
Interesting!
Wow! Really unique idea. The "just delete them" level took me the longest to figure out. Felt like a doofus after. This was my first Ludum Dare. I only wish my second turns out as well as yours! Well done!
Wow! Really liked the idea. Though it got hard, fast. At least for me. Will definitely come back to this one.
Wow! Looks amazing! Plays great! Nice job!
I know you listed the keys above, but really wish firing were something other than G. I liked the sound and gameplay. Perhaps you could give a bit of invincibility when respawning?
Really liked the overall presentation, including multiple modes, high scores, mute option. The main mode got tough quickly. Great job!
Fun game. Needs tighter controls. Couldn't submit scores. All that aside, I enjoyed it :)
I had a good laugh with a few of the different combinations. :)
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
This appears to be related to missing the correct C++ runtime components.

Original idea. Really liked the style. Well done!
Simple, but hard...and fun. Can't seem to get past 5...but I keep trying! :)
Great way to use the theme! I enjoyed it and played thru til the end. Nice job!
Good game. It took a while to figure out the controls. Especially the teleport on one level. Then I got totally stuck a couple later.
Congrats on your 1st Ludum Dare! (It was my first too!)
I remember playing this forever as a kid! Any way to speed it up?
Fun! Really enjoyed it. Good job!
Really simple. Good sound effects. Lots of fun. Nicely done!
I liked the polished, clean look. The controls felt a little loose. Overall I enjoyed it.
Simple, hard, fun! Well done!
Interesting mechanic. The music loop got a little tired. Nice!
Fun! But got hard quickly! Nice idea.
I enjoyed it. Unique. It was a nice break from all the platformers :)
I did have problems anytime there were two items occurring simultaneously. Maybe it was my fat fingers, but I swear I hit them both at the same time yet it never registered.
I died at 53 :(
Cool, simple game. Fun! Just need more friends! :)
Very unique concept. I'd love to slow the player down just a bit as it all moved too quickly for me. Also, anything with that many instructions is going to be tough since I'm more apt to ignore and dive in. But then I'm lost.
Again, I like the idea, art, and sound. Just would appreciate a bit of a guide/tutorial before dropping me in the huge world. (To be fair, I'm an old fart) :)
Nicely done!
That was fun! Couldn't beat 31 seconds, but I tried dozens of times :)
Solid game. The music was perfect for the style of play. I was hoping for either an "undo" button or at least an "I give up" button as a mistake meant instead of getting a 2 I ended up with an 18 (which didn't affect me any differently).
Other than my mistake which caused me to move around like crazy just to continue, I enjoyed it!
Good idea, but the controls were really tough to both learn and master. Would recommend some sound.
Like the graphical style, but wish I could die. The end was a bit scary! :)
Interesting visuals. Good music. I struggled a bit with the controls, but enjoyed it.
It was fun once I figured out that there was a green bullet. That said, once I fired with green, I never seemed to get blue again. Strategy? or bug?
Great looking game! Unique mechanic. Fun!
Very original idea. Could use a bit less volume. Liked it!
Great, original concept. Liked the style. And the audio was funny. Nice job!
Five mini-games? Wow! Lots of fun. Great job!
Really fun game.
Original + Katamari + POTATO = WINNER! :)
The music was good, but my space bar is now dead ;)
Loved the music and voices. Took me a second to figure out exactly how to play (even with the instructions).
Absolutely loved the Timelapse. It's great to get a "behind the scenes" peek and learn about tools that others are using as part of their work. I'll definitely be looking into GameAnalytics and finally putting my free Trello account to use. :)
P.S. My game link had died and you were kind enough to point it out. Thanks! It's since been fixed.
Nice idea. Getting a chance to edit the level made it fun. Initially I thought gravity might eliminate some options when exiting edit mode, but that would probably be too hard (to play).
Loved the look and simplicity. Struggled a bit with the controls, but still enjoyed it. Great job!
Novel idea. Perhaps start with a smaller space and less enemies? My first time it took me > 7 minutes. Yes, I suck :)
Great job on your first Ludum Dare! (It was my 1st time too!)
I thought it was fun, but totally missed the health bar the first time thru. Oops!
The controls were hard...for me. Perhaps support WASD since the mouse is necessary for shooting.
Great job for your first Ludum Dare. It was my first too! :)
Nice! I could probably play this for WAY too long. Love the auto-save. I'll definitely be coming back to this one. :)
I liked the simple mechanic, but struggled as early as level 2. Perhaps having a better idea what was coming down below would have helped. Also, the larger tile size made it hard to judge exactly when to split. It seemed like there was a perfect solution that I kept missing (as opposed to having a bit more slack). Nice overall!
Is there anyway to put a simple .exe instead of an installer?
Thanks for getting a standalone version up. Worked like a charm. Really liked it. That last level was hard, but happy to say I passed it. Maybe a different sprite for the splitter to better communicate what it'll do?
Good job! (And thanks for your feedback on my game)
Really liked this one. Unique controls make it super fun. I will definitely play this one again. Great job!
I liked the speed increase, until it got crazy fast! Instead of just the speed increase, I was expecting the walls to close in. Like others have said, some kind of timer/counter to try to keep me playing to beat my best.
The main character was a tad small for an old-timer like myself. But overall I liked the simplicity.
Neat. I wish I had a little more control over the writing process, but extremely creative. Just add a bit of music and the ability to see the final poem with the real characters. Great work!
EMPLOY HOME LANGUAGE
NORTH SELF WHITE COW WEST NATION
FULL SCENERY CHEAP
Interesting game and idea. The controls were difficult, especially after the first couple easy levels. If those were fixed, would be cool!
I liked the idea, but getting stuck along the corners wasn't fun. The map felt too big so there were long stretches of just trying to get to the next key location. Would recommend some sound/music to help with the mood. I liked the three bosses, but seems like I just died after a single hit? from the yellow "sea horse".
I really enjoyed it. Love the idea of the sounds/music.
It would have been nice to have a few (three?) difficulties which are actual well known, but simple, yet increasingly more difficult songs. I would also like an end screen to pause and see what I've accomplished rather than the feeling that it didn't matter and back to the next game.
Maybe I'm just proud of my 3010 pts! :)
Good job.
Thanks GreaseMonkey for the feedback!
As you'll see in the timelapse (now linked), the graphics were all over the place (including a bit of snake early on). In the end I settled for the current random color selection, but I struggled with the same feelings you mentioned throughout the development.
As for sound, I agree it needs a bit more at the end states.
Finally, when I let my 11 year old play, he stared at the intro and waited, then looked at me and said, "It's loading, right?". Point taken. Will add a message. :)
Thanks again!
@alts Your feedback is spot on. The first issue, large blocks not "emptying" was a bug that I ran out of time to fix. The second, selecting where to add a block to the player was something I wanted to get to, but again ran out of time. I hope to take all this great feedback and improve Skware. Thanks!
@Maple It took me a couple reads to get what you're saying. Perhaps there's a couple "modes". One is to fill up quickly. Another is to empty the screen by purposefully picking up then emptying. That about right?
With regards to staying "on grid" as opposed to "in-between", I initially allowed free movement but that didn't really work. I then moved to "on grid" but it was nearly impossible to see where the player actually was. He was, in effect, invisible. So I moved to a half-step. If I can figure out how to visibly separate the player from the board, I think you're right that putting him back "on-grid" might be best.
Finally, you're right. I need to figure out how to get an .exe going.
Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!
@kazukishida Unfortunately, my box is 64 bit. You can play it by downloading LOVE first from: http://love2d.org. Then just use my LOVE link for the game.
I'll investigate what it takes to make it work as a 32 bit exe. This is my first game so I'm new to all this :)
@Xanjos Thanks! Never heard of the love2d webplayer. This is my first game ever and I just started LOVE a couple weeks ago. I'll investigate. It would be fun to make it more available.
Thanks for the feedback, the biggest complaint I myself have is related to the difference between the player, the board, and the empty squares.
@Jiggawatt I had it working on full-tiles, but unfortunately, it was nearly impossible to distinguish the player from the background as movement was in "lock-step" with the background. So I moved to half tiles. Given time (and better UI skills), I'd like to move it back to full-tile movement.
@EggDestroyer Agreed on both points. I'm planning on tweaking it so you don't lose the square you just picked up on the hole it created (unless you move off it first). I've also bumped into scenario #2, and plan to not allow the target/goal/blink to occur directly underneath the player.
Glad you liked it...and thanks for the feedback!
Fun! Really well done overall. Good gameplay. Nice graphics. Catchy music + sound effects (and the ability to mute).
I couldn't pass Level 12, but not for a lack of trying. I cleared the screen, but then just a few "trails" stuck around and would never completely go away. 5500+ from walls. 10000+ by collisions.
Very soothing. Love the crispness of the graphics. Nice!
Wow! Very unique idea. I really liked the first level. But the difficulty spiked pretty quickly. Would recommend a less "steep" progression. Really liked it though.
Fun game. Liked the idea and music. Wish the moving platforms carried the player.
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! (It was mine too!)
Neat morphing, but wish there was more.
I like that the playfield changes as the game progresses. Makes it harder as you play more. My first playthru was horrible, but once i figured out the idea, I enjoyed it. Nice job!
Nice! After about five tries, I finally committed the Perfect Crime! Fun. Nicely done.
Not sure I understand how to control the game. Whether I "used" the controls or not, I didn't see any difference. Liked the visuals, though.
Wow! Great game. Fits the theme perfectly. Had a lot of fun with this one. There was one sound when walking that got a bit annoying, but otherwise, no complaints. Nicely done!
Really liked the concept. Couldn't get past three coins, though. Needs sound and possibly a double jump, at least with the prevalence of stairs taller than 1 square. Simplicity was great!
Loved the look and sound. And while it was fun, it seemed "too easy", though I doubt that difficulty was a goal. Fun. Fun. Fun!
Fun. Definitely look into how to add sound as it'll help keep players engaged.
Fun game. Great for you first! It was my first too! :)
Fun! I wish the downtime between game over, countdown, and go was faster. With weak times like mine i was waiting more than playing. 16.57
Unique. It's like playing two perpendicular instruments in guitar hero!
Very unique idea. I enjoyed it, but never really learned the strategy. High Score: 56 :(
I kinda wish you had two friends, or at least two more lives. Getting close to two minutes only to start over makes it hard to stick with. I'd rather be able to continue a time or two. Especially since I only got to two different enemies. The music and visuals worked well in setting the mood.
I love the dancing! Unfortunately, the cops proved too hard to avoid for me. 8/12 :(
Nice job!
Loved it! Spent more time playing this than most of the other games I've played (100+). Great job in keeping with the theme, but keeping it fun!
Unique. Not a fan of the style/genre, but that's a preference. Executed well. Should. Have. Made. A. Map. :)
Liked the music. Not sure how focus works (didn't seem to affect gameplay). Unfortunately it crashed/froze for me all three times after about the 3rd or 4th wave (about 2100+ points). Pretty hard (ie. mucho bullets)
Wow! I really liked it. Loved the simplicity of the look and controls. The music worked well. And the introduction of new elements came at the perfect pace.
Well done!
Fun. Finished. You Win! :)
Awesome. I made it thru all the loading text! Should have taken a screenshot of the youtube link. The whole family was around me reading. Great stuff! Oh, and the game was great too ;)
Obviously needs work, but congrats on getting something in!
Loved the graphics, but struggled a bit with the controls. Would have loved to slowly be ramped up into the right difficulty. Died too early.
Liked the graphics and it fit with the theme. Had a hard time interacting with the pinks. Just killed them but no energy. Not sure what else to do???
Minimal! Fun, but needs some sound to keep me playing. Nice job!
Took me a while to figure out what I was doing. But ultimately succeeded. Fun!
Nice game. Love Scratch. +1 :)
Fun game. Took a bit to figure out what I was trying to do. Liked the idea and loved the swinging mechanic. Good job!
I really liked the concept. I'd like a few more audio clues that things are/aren't going well.
Not as fast as some, but 305 ain't bad! :)
Fun, simple game. Not a fan of being told that "I suck", especially when I got a whopping 1989.
Nicely done. +1 for LOVE :)
Really hard to read the instructions at first. But then I kinda figured it out...I think :)
Loved the mood music.
Moved a bit slow, but fun game. Didn't know how much towers cost or what the two numbers meant. Could have used a start screen to allow one to play again without exiting. I liked the right-click menu. Would love to see where you'd end up with a bit more time.
Nice job!
Doesn't run on Windows 7 :(
Looks good. Plays well. Nice!
It's the new Don Quixote! Great idea and implementation. Loved it! :)
Couldn't get up to two minutes, but I got close! Fun game. Simple mechanic. I like the land on tank idea. Could use some sound. Was hoping different amounts of time would give me different ranks. When it didn't then I kinda gave up.
Glad I never had a stepfather. Apparently he really wanted me dead (x5). Nice simple game. Gets hard fast. Fun!
Similar to @wolfadex, I can't connect to the game. I get a not found error. Weird. :(
I liked the art style, but the radar didn't work for me so finding all 7 pearls dragged on a bit. Relaxing.
At first I couldn't find the play button. Once I did I enjoyed the game, but controls with a mouse are difficult. Creative idea. Well done!
Loved the controls. Great writing!
Unique. Fun. Hard!
First LD29 I've finished. I liked the art style. Fun!
Looks like I packaged it incorrectly. I think I did it right this time. Sorry about that.
@tomhunt - yeah, didn't add sound and boxy was intended as it was about squares and rectangles. I'll investigate the bug, but thanks for trying and the feedback.
@Moosefly Interesting...I had the dead zone problem when I first added joystick support, but then added dead zones and it went away. I'll look again.
As for the engine vs. game discussion, I'm a software developer by day so it's in my nature. :) And my plan was for this entry to be the beginning of a larger project so it met my objectives, but thanks for the a article and feedback.
It took a couple tries to get used to the controls, but fun game. I'm not very good. I got a hi score of 4! Nice graphics. Well done!
I had a hard time with the controls. And I got stuck in a "pit", couldn't jump out. Unfortunately, the "S" key for restart meant I restarted at times when I didn't want to. Loved the artstyle and sound/mood.
Liked the gameplay, loved the simplicity and the sound. Well done, extra kudos for being a first timer!
Fun game. Well done for your first entry!
Looks like fun. I like the mechanics, but I can't seem to get past the first enemy. Nice job on your first entry!
So games much box wow! Not really sure what I was supposed to do, but it was...interesting! :)
Good controls. Nice graphics. I had fun. Well done!
Fun game. It felt like a poor man's Risk of Rain. Great first entry! :)
Fun. The first web game I've played on my Surface that has had perfect controls. Nicely done!
I couldn't manage to get the two rings that were located outside. Nice sound.
Interesting concept. Liked the idea, but was hard to figure out what I was supposed to do at first. Once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed it.
