LD15 — Caverns (62)

Bunker by jazmeister

With a bit more time I think you'd have something. Reminds me of Lemmings.

Caverns by nitram_cero

Nice idea. Managed to get several of the races going, but still had about 5 or 6 to go. Good ambience.

Ninja Spelunker by ExciteMike

That tunnel effect is a nice use of Flash.

Candle by Problem Machine

On the whole pretty good. Could do with some difficulty progression though as it started to get a bit samey after a few levels. A solid entry and I liked the melting effect.

I'm In A Cave by havchr

Best music/audio I've encountered so far.

Adrift by Jpfed

Smooth with a clean style.

Caverns of Light by NiallM

Could do with a little more explanation, but once I figured it out I started to have fun. Apart from the fact the collision detection is a bit off, this is a nice idea and is well implemented on the whole. Great that you included a level editor.

The Walls are Not Cheese by Sparky

It's fun to destroy the environment, but it's a bit too short.

Cave Mushrooms by sf17k

Very colourful. You have a distinct style there.

Cave Trip by agj

Pity you couldn't finish it.

Shelter From the Rain by Doches

Chilling.

The Evil Dark Cavern Which Leads Straight To Death by ladybenko

No Mac, no can play. Screenshots look intriguing though.

A Matter Of Life Or Death At The Caverns Of Deep And Dark by ragnor

S'alright. A bit slow though and I keep getting stuck in walls. Procedural caverns are good. Keep it up.

below the house by dessgeega

My wife and daughter both jumped. Good ending. Problem is, it's a bit one-shot, ie, once you've seen the ending...
Like it a lot.

caveskid by allefant

Good to have the percentage in there, as that's what kept me going. I'm beginning to think that's something that all LD48 games need - some sort of progress indicator.

Eternal Seeker: Fugue in the Caverns of Doom by Comtemno

Bonus points for doing a rogue-like. I like this a lot.

NICE CAVE! by dock

Liked the retro graphics, although the movement induced motion sickness in my wife.

Bat Cave Adventures! by Jach

No binary in the windows version, but it ran ok as I had the pre-requisites installed. Like adam_smasher said, if the bat had fluttery controls, or possibly gravity, it would have made things far more interesting.

Sufi by gadlor

Good musical theme - actually very good - but the gameplay needs more work.

Cave of Peril by Entar

Atmospheric. The idea of being chased by something invisible makes for good dramatic tension.

Cevern0048 by Sophie Houlden

It was great to see how this game progressed throughout the compo. The final result is polished and slick. Like it.

Spaceship in a Cave by jovoc

Rather a slick editor there. If this had been a 72 hour contest I think we'd have seen your game up there with the best.

Moleshroomciraptor by Tenoch

Good replay value. I liked the way the dinosaurs tracked you when they could see you.

Cavern Defense by Stoney

It's a shame that you couldn't get this to work successfully. I could have sworn that one of the guys was saying, "f*cking and country" when I clicked on him, but nice that you got some sound effects in there.

Cave Miner by Wiering

Frame rate was low, so I'm commenting on the post compo version. Your main character is great, with retro sprite animation of the sort that I can only dream of doing.

Brinie by sfernald

Well, it's original. I didn't have much influence over the Brinie, so ultimately it was frustrating waiting to be able to capture it.

Mineral Miner by GBGames

Quite fun, but the sounds ... well, that's what volume controls are for.

Cavern Pong by phren

Crashed on me when loading the first time, but was ok the second time. I spent a lot of time watching the ball and not a lot of time doing anything, but thumbs up for getting something working with unfamiliar tools.

Angry Caverns by HybridMind

Nice to see something so original. Good stuff.

Cavern Ghost by sgstair

Nice ambience. I'd be intrigued to see what you would have made if you'd had more time.

mjau's entry (unfinished) by mjau

I like the "snow" effect in the background and that's a cute main sprite.
It's unfortunate that the game is clearly unfinished, but I'm looking forward to seeing your entry next time.

Cavern Escape by psnake

Reminds me of DROD, but in real-time. Those damned spiders are too clever for me.

Lava Caverns of Doom by bluescrn

Very slick. I liked the way you incorporated "LD48" in several places. I did manage to fall inside the tiles a couple of times though, which I'm sure was not intentional.

The Caverns of WIll-o' by Lerc

Nice graphics, but not a lot to do.

Treacherous Caverns by eugman

Well, it's certainly different, but when I tried to play it there was no one else there.

Grue by sol_hsa

Hmmmm. I wonder why I liked it so much. I'm tempted to backport it to TRS-80 Level II BASIC.

Like the humour.

Alien Artifact by lexaloffle

Pretty good given the time that you spent on it. Has replay factor given that I keep getting only 4 artifacts. Who knew that bubbles could be such bullies?

Steampunk Cavern Crawl Into the Darkness by Kimau

Nice cavern generator. Mind if I borrow it?

Cave Dangerous by fydo

Short and sweet.

Fake Gold by BlademasterBobo

Some nice ideas here.

Cave Explorer by adam_smasher

I liked the comments, "maybe she will find someone else", etc. Funny. However, it did seem to just crash - at least the window disappeared after I'd been in the dark for a minute or two.

Cavern Chase by Devlin

Like SpaceManiac said, the character looks a bit like Snoopy. Could do with more variation, plus a check for jumps that are a bit too long.

Key-Verne (A journey to the center of the Earth) by yanngordon

I think I need an AZERTY keyboard to play the left player.

Cavern-Ball by prmottajr

I had the Love binaries from another entry, so running the game wasn't a problem. But what was wrong with the sound?

Clocksey and the Cavern by ajdef3

Quite fun on the whole. I like the simple animation when double-jumping, but found it quite hard to time some of the jumps ... are those spikes magnetic?

Kung-Fu Kaverns by frosty

Let's put it this way. Every time I thought I'd quit and go and rate this game I just had to have another go. It's a nice little diversion and it certainly helps your case that I'm a sucker for the TRS-80 look.

Broken Cave Robot by YMM

I liked the lo-tech art style and lighting, and the map was a neat touch.

Cave Bounce by Almost

Innovative mechanic.

A CAVE FOR MY BIKINI BABES by bburbank

Completely daft, but in a good way. Plays like one of those Spectrum/C64 games from what my daughter calls "the olden days". Cute little theme tune too.

Dwarven Rock Smash by Mag Roader

Fun, and somewhat therapeutic. Who knew that smashing rocks could be so much fun? I'm not particularly good at it, but that's another story.

Coffee Caverns by caseyd

Not a great fan of installers for this type of game.

I thought the pacing was a little off, ie, it got too hard too quickly. However, it's solid enough and you could develop it further if you add a bit of variety and fixed the pacing.

GoblinHome by Serilyn

It's a little slow paced yet a bit too quick to pan. I like the animations though, and the pathfinding is reasonable. Looking forward to your next LD entry.

Cavern of Damned by bugra

Same issue with maximum of 10 downloads.

YACF (Yet Another Cave Flyer) by peder2tm

Could do with better instructions, but once I figured out what I had to do it was quite fun with a catch tune. Couldn't really get it to work multiplayer though.

The Narwhal Bacons At Midnight by Svenstaro

My wife and I both enjoyed playing this. It was a bit like playing a Monty Python game, ie, surreal. But it was fun, and that's what counts.

We liked the messages.

Secret Cavern by chuchino

Rather cute. Nice atmosphere and music.

Beacon by ChevyRay

Damn, that's a GREAT idea superbly implemented. I enjoyed the deft little touches like the way the water splashes when you land in it.

Cave of Dinosaurs by AtkinsSJ

Nice game mechanic, "shoot rocks so they fall on dinosaurs" but once you get the hang of it it's a bit too easy.

Tentacle by owendeery

Nice gameplay idea, but could do with a score, or at least something to give a reason to continue. It eventually crashed on me.

Grav Cavern by Tange

Agree with the rest of the comments - asking us to install Panda is a bit much. Sorry.

Refuge by noonat

It's the bastard offspring of Puzzle Bobble and Missile Command, which is certainly not something that I would have expected to work. But it does. Some nice touches in there. I like it a lot.

Heck, I think it's my co-favourite along with Beacon.
And I scored 129900. Not bad for an old guy.

Cave Fishter by DrPetter

Nicely done. A little tricky to control (I'm one to talk) but I like the concept.

LD14 — Advancing Wall of Doom (16)

Humpty Doompty! by yoyo

My humpty was a bit of a numpty and kept falling off the wall as I was going too fast. Nicely executed.

Save the Sheep by Wiering

Keep getting my sheep stuck, but this is an original idea. Good stuff.

Cat Protector! by viblo

If I played every entry for as long as I've played this one then I'd never get anything else done. I can't seem to beat 15.5s. This game has excellent replayability. Crazy idea with a diabolical theme, but it works!

Grey Goo by TimS

Nice idea. Tense waiting for the money to build up. New Zealand and Tierra del Fuego became very attractive places. Liked the art style.

By Touching It With Your Spikes by Super-Dot

Couldn't get past the first bend. Interesting controls though.

rollbak_LD14_BlackHoleComing.zip by lucasshrew

I like it. Could have done with a timer, ie, the faster you gobble the asteroids the better your score, but who am I to talk. Nice one.

Wall Wrecker by robot_guy

Good idea - implement something that can be done well in 48 hours. It's certainly more playable than some that I've played. The bat is a little sluggish - personally I'd have preferred mouse controls. Well done though.

Extinguish by LunarCrisis

I reached the end and wanted more.

Short Fuse 2: The Escape by Hamumu

Love the falling rocks. It's a bit hard for a numpty like me.

advancing wall of math by greencow

This has to be my favourite so far. It made me laugh, particularly the sound effects. Plus it's good for my ancient brain to do a bit of maths once in a while. /me stumbles off into the distance reminiscing about log tables.

Walled Off by GBGames

Strewth, now I'm hungry again.

Doom Runner by Endurion

Well balanced. Nice and simple, yet effective.

Put the Ball in the Basket by Doches

Very slick. I think I ended up with a similar solution to many of the levels, but very nicely done indeed.

tombed by dessgeega

Seriously retro looks, but the game works well. My only complaint was that Windows kept insisting on bringing up the "sticky keys" dialog when I pressed shift too many times, but other than that it's pretty fine.

The Haunting by Covenant

Love the blood splatter and the intro / cut screens. The game itself is a little weak, but that's probably a reflection of my inability to play it.

Solar Lift by codekitchen

Nice simplistic art style that works for it. The enemies are a little dumb though.
