Enjoyable enough I played it twice. Couldn't tell if the level was different the second time so I guess its disorienting enough :D nice!
Thanks for the comments, I have updated the notes with some rules clarifications. Unfortunately we didn't get around to implementing the feature to give your score immediately when you run out of tiles.
No required points for progression, just a measure of how well you performed on that map. We were thinking of implementing a progression system and some more maps, but time ran out.
The bloops are a bit loud, there is an option to turn them off in the main menu though.
Thanks for all the feedback and (hopefully) positive ratings. Check out our Postmortem and Timelapse, links above.
Fun little puzzle game, enjoyed it to the end!
Crashes for me every time on win7 64 after the cut scene at the start.
Great short story. Got a minor bug with a button being visible on the screen that does not go away. The rest was fabulous.
Incredibly hard but fun. I played through the first level several times before realising there is only one correct combination of key presses.
Would be nice if the mouse ran faster, it takes an awfully long time to see the results of your work. It's not really clear to me what the cats do?
Great gameplay.
Interesting concept and the events are quite varied and creative. Unfortunately I got a crash when I tried to send the military to another city, on Win7 64.
Good concept, a lot of fun to play!
the music was incredibly loud for me on load. The movement just felt like it could do with more gravity, but overall good work!
good fun. The one sound effect worked incredibly well!
Ok, I have put up a playable version. Shows off our basic concept. There was a heap of problems getting the graphics to display and to get the executable to be packaged correctly.
"9:" is an invalid integer.
I am sad as this game looked to be awesome!
Good work on your first game! Cant wait to see what you do in the next Ludum Dare
Not bad. Was a little confused if I needed to be precise or just go for it.
Wow! incredible effort. I love the particle trails that make your character look like you are travelling really fast!
interesting idea. Keeping the ball on the screen might help players to think it is possible!
interesting. Could do with a few more stages of graphical change, so that the RGB germs dont jump around so much, and perhaps more magnifications so you can see the patterns occurring around your "base". was fun!
had a lot of fun with this. Larger levels with a bit more maze feel might work.
Overall AWESOME! was good fun and the character was cute.
Ran perfectly on Win8 64 after installing the redist
Fun! was a bit dark and I was unsure what to do when the whole room was full.
to those who did not RTFM, please do so. Great concept. The sound effects are essential. Good use of theme. 5/5 for gfx ;)
great game with awesome graphics and atmosphere. Difficult as all hell.
Apart from the quibbles that the other commenters mentioned, great stuff!
it runs very well on my machine. Character animations are great. I like the level intro sequences with the boss. Good font selection. :D
oh it might be worth mentioning that the simulation only runs when you move. Press spacebar to wait!
ive added the required DLLs to the executable. Should be aok now. Thanks for all the comments so far!
I've uploaded a new version that is compatible with Love2d 0.9.0
Thanks for all the comments so far. :D
is this "winnable"? Being stuck in a house with Payday II and GTA V is my idea of a horror story :D
"A ridiculous amount of fun!" -- this
Good work making an idle game. Not many people in LD gonna have the balls to try that! Plays well (still playing after an hour)
cool entry. Your music choice was awesome! Played quite a few rounds. Are the levels completely random or generated to be winnable every time?
Did you plan/design the gameplay on this or just make it and hope? Seems good either way :D
great entry! also remember you made it in FORTY EIGHT HOURS. bloody marvellous!
your screenshots look amazing but when I run it, it looks like this:

Couldn't run on Ubuntu 13.04 due to:
error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.1.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Solid little puzzle game, only complaint is that the background pattern made discerning the projectile path a little difficult.
good entry! I like that you kept you scope small and achievable, and the line of sight mechanic is well polished.
On Ubuntu 13.04 I get the following error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path
Looks like lwjgl isn't packaged in the .jar?
enjoyable is the right word for it. Thank you :D
Great for a first LD Jam!
Vomited audio errors at me on Ubuntu 13.04.

I also couldn't get the web version to run.
friggin HARD! but very polished. Good to see more Lovers in the Ludum Dare.
another opengameart.org user I see. Fun gameplay and the bullet time works well (and is essential for success!).
I love the death animation on the boss! *no spoilers*
Great game, this one is a lot of fun!
Played through to completion (not the bonus levels yet), level three stumped me for quite a while, but the rest I could work out in a few attempts.
cool entry! Took me a while to realise the levels were repeating themselves because the powerups are random.
Could you create a linux executable?
Solid entry, but a little too easy, I played for quite some time and was never at risk of losing.
love the storybook feel. Maybe next time try using sprites as your intro art is great!
fun. I liked the comments from your "friends"
sooo dark.. the humor. Nice entry
You used the wrong slash on your linux link.
Well executed, funny, great use of theme, I really liked this one!
Good Times! The time limit was a bit long tho
Thanks for all the comments. I would definitely avoid re-sizing the window as it breaks everything completely. I would have disabled that feature but then it doesn't work at all on Android.
Music is from nosoapradio.us. I recommend checking it out. I have no musical skill whatsoever (except with selecting it)
Not bad, took me a while to figure it out. Very polished but it would be nice if the arrow was more pointy towards the business end!
Thanks for showing this at the Frankfurt Independent Game Dev Meetup
Crash on Ubuntu 14.04 every time I open the archive :(
Tutorial please!
Not bad. The story font is near unreadable on my hi resolution monitor
Solid Entry. I like that the mechanics are metered out over the first few levels.
Weird. Was this just an experiment to see how long people will play for? I have this feeling you are collecting data ;)
Enjoyable and Addictive :D
This has a lot of mechanics for a 48 hour compo. WELL DONE! PS-Love2d is wikkidcool
Thanks for showing this at the Frankfurt Independent Game Dev Meetup.
not bad at all. Love your art. It runs pretty slow on a low end tablet.
Thanks for showing this at the Frankfurt Independent Game Dev Meetup
Nice as a concept. You make the same mistakes as me by not focusing on the user experience :D Single clicks to add dice, a button to skip the rolling, highlighting of items you can buy with your current roll. But I know how these things get pushed back and then not added during a jam. Nice!
Love the Concept. Points for using Love2d :D
Thanks for all the comments. I do wish that I had time to add sound effects. Sorry to hear the subjective scoring didn't work for everyone (probably should have expected that)
Nice work getting TWO games onto one screen
Cool concept! I was confused as to when the blocks are "non-collidable" . I wanted to check out your past LD games but your profile is not found :(
so many hover info panels. Apart from that, GREAT!
Wow, I have dizzyness after just a few minutes. Loads of fun tho. I also made a snowman game
The graphics are so awesome! Would give this 5/5 stars for the Mindf**k category.. :D
I like that your monsters each have different AI. Great idea, similar to one of my old LD entries. :D
Noice! I like all the changes you made on the final day. Mikaylas Pizza voice is rather amuzing (and more than a little CREEPY)
Cleaning a window didnt let me see the people inside, as is depicted in the main screenshot. Is that a bug?
This is just awesome. A little more work on the player movement and it would be perfect
Really enjoyed this game. Controls feel nice, and the graphics implimentation makes me jealous of your skill!
"raaaaege, i hate this game! Ok, one more try."
^^THIS^^
Enjoyable, the max level pistol was my go-to weapon
Wow, with some AI and a little innaccuracy in the scanner this game would be amazing. Love the effects as well.
Loved it! The gibs were awesome. Any tips for peeps just starting out with particles?
Thanks for playing.. your game was also fantastic! The idea was to confuse the play a little bit so they need to think from a different perspective.
Sadly in the Web version on Linux, and in the Linux download version the sack gets stuck after collecting the first present. On windows it plays nicely.
Very enjoyable, even with my mediocre graphics card
