Great game. Everything is well done but my favorite thing is the music, which reminds me of Mega Man. I was even more impressed with the game (which I thought was basically a zombie shooter) when you explained the icon based conversation system on IRC, but it's not really apparent that it has effect on the gameplay while you're playing. I would have liked to see you take it further, maybe cut down on the shooting and allow the player to occasionally talk to civvies and enemies?
Interesting game. AI would have been nice.
Very cool tube effect. The shooting and gameplay need some work, but graphically it's nice.
The movement is too jerky for my tastes. There also doesn't seem to be any losing condition (maybe I'm wrong?)
The blob moves a little too slow for my liking, but otherwise it's a cool game.
Interesting concept but very unfinished.
Some how, some way you have managed to make a game that has very little challenge and no ending but is somehow extremely enjoyable. The game is hypnotic.
Great graphics, but I don't really like the controls that much.
Very well done game. It feels very complete.
This is hands down the most innovative game in the competition. It reminds me of some of the whackier microgames in Warioware.
Looks cool, but runs waaaay too fast on my machine to be playable.
Interesting...
One of the more polished and complete games in the competition, also combining Sokoban and Dr. Mario is pretty interesting. I'm not a huge fan of Sokoban and pushing block puzzles though.
A 48 hour RTS, very cool.
Was gonna give it a NA for humor until I saw the description. Mr. Fun strikes again, great game.
Lots of sprites...
There didn't seem to be that much interaction.
Hehe, it makes no sense at all but it's entertaining. The car controls suck, but otherwise it's interesting.
Hehe, this is one of the funniest games in the competition. There's not much gameplay, and I think it runs too fast on my machine, but it's fun because it's so whacked out. I gave you a 1 in completeness to balance out the high scores in other stuff...
Great game, definitely one of my favorites. The gameplay is extremely varied and interesting. The graphics are simple but effective.
Would have been an interesting game if it was finished.
Very interesting premise.
It's an ok game but there are flaws. Your goal is not apparent at first. I thought I was doing good by getting a lot of grey cooties. You don't really get the satisfaction of clearing out the level, because a good move just rearranges the cooties. With a few tweaks it could be a nice game though.
Cool game. Really like the graphics and the armies of little dudes. Would be great if there was a little more strategy and challenge involved.
Like it's been said before. The game needs some scoring. It also looks like you can't really die? Just adding a high score, death and a game over screen would improve the game immensely and give player's some challenge and feedback.
Work on the feel of the jet pack (it's a little too heavy\weighty now) and have some more interesting enemy patterns. Enemies that chase you would be a good start (http://flashgamedojo.com/wiki/index.php?title=Homing_Missile). More levels would be a good next step.
Clever idea.
Not much gameplay but its fun destroying the planet.
Cool concept. Fits the theme really well.
It's like Canabalt on crack :). In some ways the speed makes it fun, but it needs some tuning. Collision seems a little buggy also. Pretty fun game though, if not particularly innovative.
Not really a game, but good graphics and it's always fun to blow shit up.
Hah hilarious game.
Great game, had an emotional impact on me.
WTF, nice joke game.
Awesome game, probably my favorite of the entire compo. It's like bullet hell double dutch. The entire game makes me pine for the days when indie developers were making shmups with innovative mechanics instead of puzzle platformers or first person puzzle games.
Hah, the amount of confusion over a relative simple game is slightly baffling to me. I guess I can update this page with more detailed rules\instructions, but it seems pretty clear that the game needs some serious reworking in order to be playable.
Thanks for the feedback. Agree strongly with all of it (especially the knockbacks).
Simple game but pretty funny.
Very cool concept but pretty sparse on level design. The last level finally starts introducing some interesting constraints to the game. Namely that blocks are limited resources and you can't always "collect" a block and fall safely. I'd like to see some more levels exploring that. Tons of potential here, make some more levels and add some more mechanics!
Really weird game.
Awesome game, one of my favorite in the compo due to the weirdness and the humor of it. The interface is clunky and somewhat broken, and it's a great example of misuse of Unity (seems like it would have been way easier to make this game with the Flash IDE?) but great results.
The weapon system is cool and shooting aliens is fun. Death seemed a little confusing and random until I read the title :). Having some warning about nearby aliens would be nice. The way the game is set up now eventually aliens spawn to quickly and you just have to spam fire until they move away from your house.
Awesome graphics. Nice to see such a polished Processing based entry. Can't wait until the gameplay is finished.
We talked a little bit on the Tigsource about our games being confusing. Now that I've played it I don't think the interface is very confusing, but the way selection works is.
My suggestions are to make clicking on another unit select that unit, to allow right click to deselect. Also you should be able to place buildings by clicking on their icons and then clicking on the map. The freeform building is weird and feels buggy, there should be designated building spots. It should also be more clear when civilians activate a specific building. It seems like they are somewhat autonomous? Like you can send a youth to a specific building and they randomly decide whether or not they want to upgrade? Either that or the building collision is buggy and it's hard to position units, I couldn't really tell.
The biggest problem I had was I didn't really get any feedback about if I was playing right or wrong. After X amount of time it seems like you just die randomly. I expected to see alien sprites spawn on the map and murder my civilians. Instead I play for a little while, and the game randomly tells me I lose.
Overall its a cool idea, its just way too hard to do anything, and it feels like the game is buggy and it's not by design.
Ahhh, so it's negative food. Maybe add a "you starved" screen?
