Impossible

Incomplete, but cool. Too bad there isn't a "interestingness" category or something.

Ah, well. Spent a lot of time doing my poor art and had a good time. No sound, was too tired by the end. Most of the interface pieces are there and parts of the game logic, but it's not complete and you cant win. Next time I'll keep my feet a but more on the ground, but I think that I can finish this up to a nice shareware game at least.

Jamul

Always good geopolitical intrigue from geoffh. Except that he never finishes them, so they go nowhere. I think it would've been a fun game... I miss the cool battle scenes that he mocked up.

One gameplay problem I see, or think I do: I started in australia, filled that pan pacific region and moved into asia, at which point my pan-pacific troops were useless. You need to have a way to move troops to neighboring countries, so you can produce stuff and move it to the front (of course I can see other things like gameplay taking priority... just pointing out a possible design flaw). A game like this would be really fun to play, we used to play risk in my dorms. So fix it up!

Great concept, too bad it's incomplete... :(

There are some minor gripes: The game seemed very inresponsive, things didn't happen in the right order... I couldn't select Germany as a target... and country names on Europe were weird >_< lol...

Anyway... Hope you finish it, because the game would rock if it was properly done and polished.

Has promise, too bad you had to spend valuable time doing other things.

Nice risk clone, the interface seems a bit clunky though, the dialogs hog the entire window and the buttons don't respond sometimes. Other than that very nice.

LordCovenant

Got nothing to add to the above... Except banging you on the head for making Portugal a part of Spain in your game! :P
Nice RISK clone... Waiting to see what you do with this...

Weirdly, I had fun 'playing' this game, even though you don't really do anything. Maybe I just enjoy taking over countries, maybe the fun comes from plotting what I *would* do if the game was more complete.

GP Innovation:
A fun spin on the "RISK" type game. The Propoganda would have been interesting to see.

Fun: above average

Graphics:
They were easy to look at and read, but a dotted line between Africal and S America woudn't hurt.

Sound: none

Technical:
Some nice dialogs, and computer AI, but I had to fiddle with the source code to get it to run in the first place.

GP Theme:
I liked building armies of militarized sheep.

Cosmetic theme:
Basically tacked-on.

Completeness:
A lot of work was done here, especially impressed by the AI, but there were buttons that didn't do anything, and I didn't really know if I could 'win'.

Would one really wanna to Risk a sheep? Get it? Hahaha... sorry, I know, that was a very bad joke. I didn't even laugh myself. Sorry..
Ehm.. onto other stuff. It is a quite interesting game really, but the computer wasn't very smart (or maybe it was, maybe I the one who isn't very smart, I never found out). I invaded all the countries... almost. Then the game crashed. I had north america, europe, south amerika, africa, middle east and some of asia. The wolves had the rest of asia and a bit of the thingys down towards australien (btw, does that name come from, like, austr and alien? So like alien austrian or something? wouldn't really make sense but whatever. Anyone one anything about it? Erhm.. sorry. Of the point, but it just hit me. Like one of those big knuckles..). It was fun so far... but then as I said it crashed, and i don't really have the strength to do it all once more. I didn't even have a good fight :(
It aslo felt a bit slow with the screens and stuff where the text stood, and the mouse was a bit slow (on reacting and such, but hey, so it was a bit in my game so i shouldn't complain... and i could have walked in a stair once and played in on a faster computer... but im lazy). Ok, sorry. Wrote lots of stuff i shouldn't here... I just can't hold myself sometimes. The worddom. game just open your views, like "the world is your boil" or something... sorry. You can make this game really good if you work on it a bit more. Maybe a mix of risk and age of wonders? Now that would be something, eh?

Gutter

Gameplay innovation... Sorry but thats Risk. And for the theme, its cool but we do not directly construct stuff. Might be biased cause 2 game on the 3 I started, I was choosed groeland, and the wolf took Canada. And somehow Iceland was unselectable, so I got boring :D I didnt try it a third time, I took Canada instead, and then it was fun!

mrfun

cool map and clicking system. looks like python gets more popular in each contest

jovoc

I hope you complete this. It seemed pretty complicated, a tutorial is essential. The map view looked fantastic, especially the countries lighting up. It would be cool if there were a close up country view too. Gameplay seemed more like a straightforward strategy game, which is fine but didn't have too much to do with the gameplay theme. Good wolf/sheep icons, too.
