Very cool

God, I haven't laughed that much in a long time!

My honest opinion:

I like how it turned out, but I wish I had a lot more time to work on it. Adding sounds would have been nice, but I just didn't have the time... I actually shouldn't even have entered this weekend, but I couldn't resist. As far as the game goes, gameplay's pretty sweet, I like the physics engine, as in complete as it is, and there is *some* 'AI', but it still does have an unfinished feel. I like the idea of an infinite random level though, but I never really stress tested it to see if it was leaking memory... theoretically it shouldn't be. Like I said, there was no sound, just didn't have the time. The graphics are pretty sweet for having no time to do it, I would have liked more than 4 frames of animation for my sheep, and no animation for everything else, but what can you do? As far as the themes go, well I have a sheep... could have easily been replaced by almost anything else without changing much, but I just love the idea of a sheep that shoots fireballs and builds bridges. Completeness: not even close, non-configurable controls/display, almost all of my variables are hardcoded... didn't really feel like writing tons of file loaders.

Overall I'd give it a 4, based on the time I had, and the way things turned out. Thanks for the actual motivation to finish some sort of game.

Your documentation sucks: "e: build a bridge" at least on my keyboard it's on w, either that or some wisecracker swapped them on my keyboard ;). Those eye monster move a little jerky, I had hardly a chance of hitting or avoiding them, also due to my fingers tieing up (you must left-hander). The gaps between the blocks could be wider as I didn't have the necessity (and the time whilst shooting an steering) to build any bridges. Maybe that changes later on, but I didn't get very far.

Too damn frantic for me to handle! I think if it wasn't at an insane pace (those jittering eyeballs are what really stress me out!), it would be pretty cool. As it is, I just can't handle it. The bridge ability is useless, since the platforms are so close, and your sheep is filled with helium, but that's actually a good thing, since there is NO time to mess around with barfing up bridges!

A good effort, but too much stress for me to take. I like my games calm and peaceful, like UT2003.

Not bad. Controls are quite frustrating. Jump should probably be W (WASD combo), shoot space, and platform S. As well, it should probably support the arrow keys as well. Physics are too floaty, but its nice to see something (unlike just plain y--/y++ style jumping). Solid otherwise.

LordCovenant

Procedural levels, yay! :) Didn't like the controls, though... The rest is pretty decent! :)

This is an okay game, but it's pretty repetitive.

I have innovation a 2 because there's nothing too innovative here. That's how I'm interpreting the definition of innovation; before it was just gameplay, til like today.

Fun I gave a 3. It's all right, but it never ends... that's a bummer. Graphics are all right. Moving lava would have been cool; I thought (from the looks of screenshots) that you had moving lava or fire or something, like a demo used in a game. Technical had a 3 because it was 'ok.'

I gave theme a 3 because there was construction and destruction. Cosmetic got a 5 because the main character is a sheep. Completeness had a 3. The level (singular) never ends, and it pretty repetitive. There is no menu / title screen of any sort. The controls are somewhat unintuitive.

To improve this game, I'd add a couple of more moves for the sheep, add more enemies, get rid of the random level generation (if that's what it is) and design good, challenging levels.

Not too bad, but could use some more work.

Couldn't build, annoyed that I died when I got hit by one of the fast-moving eyeballs. Crashed on exit...

Cool fireball effect

MattB

Kind of fun, but not really that interesting. The contruction is really awkward and doesn't really seem that important, and the "destruction" is only of enemies, which doesn't (to me) really count. Also, what's with the really high resolution for such a simple game? It seems to hurt speed a bit. Again, fun sort of.

ShredWheat

those eye guys bothered me, but good controls

mfassett

If there was one thing I wish was different, it's the controls. I would have prefered the movement on the arrow keys and the other items on the regular keyboard. It's too much for me to do with one hand.

jovoc

Looks fantastic! I like the metroid pun (and enemies). Seems really hard, collision is pretty overbounded, and the movement doesn't feel very fluid. I like the idea of building platforms, but the random levels make it kind of arbitrary. It looks great, though, and ran smoothly except for the eyeball animation. It locked up a few times on me, but other times it was stable for a while.

UberHaxor

The best thing of the game were the graphics, the looked really nice. The bad thing was that the game bugged so bad that I wasn't able to play it. The eye things jumped around randomly so it was almost impossible to avoid or shoot them. Game hadn't any destruction and the construction was also totally useless (atleast I hadn't any place of use for it). I didn't like the game forcing so high resolution either.

Gutter

I think it just gave me carpal tunel syndrome. But seriously those eyes are a real pain in the arse! especially since they pass straigh throug the floors... :(
