| Apr 23 23:37:25 | Cookie-World | ♥ 1 | Ha! I love it! It's funny, while mechanically and aesthetically different than my game, there are definitely parallels going on. It's just fun to grow things... ...Especially cookies. | |
| Apr 28 21:07:50 | 117h 30m | Icarus Isolation | ♥ 1 | Wow. This is really tremendous work for 72 hours. I love the feathers particle effect (maybe not a particle effect?), and the overall vibe of the experience. I'm going to echo the comments about the controls, but I think if you were to expand the game, then I wouldn't mind the time that it takes to learn them. Really nice work! |
| Apr 28 21:12:48 | 4m 58s | A Week's Passing | ♥ 2 | Cool. I think there's a lot to the mixed 2D/3D style, and I'm always really impressed by the entries that manage to create a real narrative over the course of the weekend. Keep up the good work. |
| Apr 28 21:17:05 | 4m 17s | Diminishing Lands | ♥ 1 | Yes. Really nice work. I love the music and the complexity of the game stemming from simple rules. Good choice of aesthetics, graphics, sound, etc. too. I think it all comes together in a really impressive way. |
| Apr 28 21:23:17 | 6m 12s | Starstruck Ducky | ♥ 2 | That poor duck... fame isn't everything. Very cool little game! Nice flow and easy-to-understand mechanics make it really fun. |
| Apr 28 21:45:53 | 22m 36s | Nucleu | ♥ 0 | I LOVE this, but I feel like I ran out of things to do. Am I supposed to be able to interact with the balls? I really like that you did procedural music for this game. Now I think that's going to be my goal for the next LD. I've used PD for that in a couple of my other games, but I haven't had the guts to go for it in 48 hours..... You've raised the bar, so game on. |
| Apr 28 22:27:21 | 41m 28s | Paisley Princess | ♥ 1 | Very cool! You're making me want to get back to pico-8. Great graphics, sound, and gameplay. This game is surprisingly balanced for having just 48 hours, and never gets "grindy." Nice work. [Why are both the comments on this from "Simon"s] |
| Apr 28 22:58:39 | 31m 18s | Yours | ♥ 1 | Whoa. Very cool. Great concept and feel overall. This is crazy impressive for just 72 hours! It's a nice original idea, well executed. Did you do the music too? |
| Apr 28 23:01:20 | 2m 41s | Paper traveller | ♥ 1 | Very cool and ambitious concept. I had to switch over to the regular font, just because I was driving myself a bit crazy. It's really challenging, and I think that stems from the originality--no one needs a tutorial for a twin-stick shooter. Nice work. |
| Apr 28 23:03:59 | 2m 39s | Core Fall | ♥ 0 | Hahahahah! Very cool, and great interpretation of the theme! |
| Apr 28 23:26:11 | 22m 12s | Meteor Jam | ♥ 3 | Cool. A very fun little game. I'm not a big bullet-hell kind of guy, so "Planet X" was a bit too much for me, but since I didn't lose my progress on death, I eventually made it. Very nice work. |
| Apr 28 23:30:17 | 4m 06s | Tiny Worlds in Flasks | ♥ 1 | I love this! This, to me, is the kind of creativity that make Ludum Dare so fun. I'm running on WebGL, can this actually save a screenshot to disk in the standalone? Keep up the good work. |
| Apr 28 23:54:48 | 24m 31s | Santa Balls: https://andre-schuch.itch.io/santaballs-ld38 | ♥ 0 | Cool! I like the fact that you're simultaneously navigating two layers at the same time. What made you go with Santa? Nothing against, Santa, of course, but it's almost June! |
| Apr 29 00:05:52 | 11m 04s | Protect | ♥ 1 | Super-groovy! I didn't realize it was a rhythm game at first, but once I did, it really cam together. Great music and fun gameplay! I love that the game only contains one sprite. It just goes to show you, graphics don't need to be sophisticated for a game to be fun. |
| Apr 29 00:11:22 | 5m 30s | Fancy meeting you here | ♥ 2 | Absolutely terrifying. I think this is definitely a new genre that needs to be explored more. I had a bit of trouble knowing what the heck I was expected to do (but perhaps that's in the nature of these Warioware-style games). Great idea, and overall aesthetic, and genuinely creepy! |
| Apr 29 00:22:54 | 11m 32s | Little Mouse Planet | ♥ 1 | Nice. I grew a cheese tree, but I couldn't seem to eat any of the cheese!? I like the overall feel though, and the sound design! Nice work in Scratch! |
| Apr 29 00:31:07 | 8m 13s | Seagazer | ♥ 1 | Nice job! I love the mystery. I wonder, often, about the threshold between being mysterious and inscrutable, and what our responsibilities are to be "accessible." That said, you seem to have made a number of people above very happy to have solved the puzzle, so how can you fault that! Keep up the good work. |
| Apr 29 00:50:34 | 19m 27s | Johi Farm | ♥ 2 | My poor plant! That's a challenging game for time/resource management, with a steep learning curve. Great graphics and overall aesthetic! |
| Apr 29 00:54:54 | 4m 20s | ZEUS VS MOLES | ♥ 2 | Whoa... super-groovy. I love the voxel graphics and the overall feel of the game. I love the feel of the controls and the screen shake too (I've got to start doing that myself more often). As a sound guy, I've got to say the fact that the loop didn't quite loop properly drove me a bit crazy (definitely a quick fix once you're ready to do revisions). Great work overall. Super-fun! |
| Apr 29 01:09:21 | 14m 27s | Pixlets | ♥ 1 | Cool. Nice graphics, audio, and overall balance. I have to admit that this kind of game isn't really my bag. I found myself turning on MST3K on Netflix to kill the time as I was waiting for the pixlets to do their work. For players like me, maybe a "speed up time" option? |
| Apr 29 12:54:39 | 11h 45m | Quantum Catburetor | ♥ 1 | Extremely cool idea and overall aesthetic. It took me a moment to figure out that I was moving, but I got it. I'll echo the comments above about the STEEP difficulty curve, but I think some people will really like that (I'm more of a casual gamer myself). Great interpretation of the theme! |
| Apr 29 12:58:10 | 3m 31s | LD-38 SUPER SMALL WORLDS | ♥ 1 | Neat! I like the 2.5D here, though I must admit I was a little confused at the start of level 2. Great BGM! What did you use for it? It sounds pretty chippy, is that the BeepBox.co? I'll have to check it out. Oh, and I love all the giants too. |
| Apr 29 13:43:51 | 45m 41s | Small Atomic World War | ♥ 1 | Neat! Mac version worked on my machine. It's funny, I found your game after you commented on mine, and it seems we had a similar idea! I think the interactions in your game are more sophisticated go (especially in terms of the AI). Great job with the music and sound too. |
| Apr 29 14:32:05 | 48m 14s | World Destroyer | ♥ 1 | Great concept. When I was first brainstorming for the compo, I wanted to have something similar to this with the tiny world, but I realized that I had no idea how to do it! Nice work. |
| Apr 29 14:55:30 | 23m 25s | Statera | ♥ 3 | Neat! I love all of the particle effects and different animal animations. Despite the fact that you say you didn't do your own 3D models, the overall aesthetic seems to come together in a really nice way. The gun sound seems a bit over the top to me, but perhaps that intentional (and perhaps we'd hear that differently with background music). Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 29 15:01:07 | 5m 37s | Daydreaming Island | ♥ 2 | Nice. It's impressive that you created a multi-room space (and all of this BGM) for the compo. Great work. I'm going to echo a bit of the frustration about the controls that the people above did, but it's not a huge problem. I guess the thing is, for short games like a lot of Ludum Dare entries (mine included), the less we have to "learn" the controls the better. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 29 23:12:03 | 8h 10m | Pixel Town | ♥ 2 | Wow. Very cool. I'm always blown away by the entries that can create a balanced strategy game over the course of a weekend. Very cool. I wish it were easier to see what each individual building costs! |
| Apr 29 23:15:21 | 3m 18s | Amoebros | ♥ 1 | Cool! I love the post-processing effects you have going on here. It makes me feel like I'm actually looking into a microscope. |
| Apr 29 23:17:47 | 2m 26s | Conquer Earth | ♥ 1 | Really tremendous work for 72 hours. There's a whole lot of depth here. I really like the in-game graphics too, and the soundtrack is appropriately epic! |
| Apr 29 23:21:56 | 4m 09s | Saviour | ♥ 2 | HAHAHAHAHA! Sweet! I really like this. I need to get better at doing the speed boost. Great concept, cool enemies, and fun gameplay. Throw in some variety in the shooting SFX (a random detune here and there), and it'll bring up the feel to the next level. |
| Apr 29 23:31:12 | 9m 16s | Water Bear World | ♥ 1 | Cool. I love the sound design (less so the controls, but they're growing on me). Overall, though, really original idea. As a dad/composer myself, I second the props to your dad on the OST! Dads represent! |
| Apr 29 23:35:46 | 4m 34s | WIP: World In Progress | ♥ 0 | Nice! Great sound design and concept overall. I totally get your controls--the challenges is part of the gameplay. In my LD37 entry, though, I got a lot of the same feedback as above about the clunkiness. You'll have to figure out on your own what direction you want to go in the future, but sometimes in life, we don't have great control... so why shouldn't that be the case in our games too? |
| Apr 29 23:45:25 | 9m 39s | Small Kingdoms | ♥ 0 | I win! I think I need to play against a human opponent, but this is great work for 48 hours! It's really great to see a strategy game in the mix. The challenge of doing a game like this must be balancing! Keep up the good work. |
| Apr 30 01:05:53 | 1h 20m | Landshift | ♥ 3 | Wow. I think it's crazy that you were able to put together a puzzle game in 48 hours. This is great. It's super hard for me (maybe my brain is a little too addled at this point of the evening), but I have a lot of fun with this. Definitely worth expanding in the future! |
| Apr 30 01:06:37 | 44s | Planet Sustainment | ♥ 0 | Sorry you didn't get a chance to finish! Looking forward to playing your game next time! |
| Apr 30 01:11:59 | 5m 22s | Bitverse | ♥ 2 | How do I teleport to places? I get to the "E" place and press E, but I don't know how to operate the map. And hints? |
| Apr 30 01:15:35 | 3m 36s | Particulate | ♥ 2 | Very cool concept! I had the same kind of idea for my game, but this one is much better executed as a core mechanic. Great colors and visuals too. The loop gets a bit repetitive after I've been playing for a while, but that's really a niggling detail. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 01:28:18 | 12m 43s | Lead the Ants | ♥ 2 | Cool! This reminds me of the old days and "SimAnt." It kind of felt a bit like a guessing game (which way is the food?), but I love the little algorithm-driven critters (like real ants!). |
| Apr 30 13:40:37 | 12h 12m | Murder Mitosis | ♥ 1 | Super cool! This is a really nicely put together game--original, colorful, interesting, and fun. It's smart how the pressure builds naturally as a mechanic of the gameplay. |
| Apr 30 14:00:42 | 20m 05s | kumo. | ♥ 3 | Awesome! I love the overall product here; sound, color, and gameplay are all working together to create a unified experience. For a game like this, I would really like button that saves a JPG to my disk so I can set a wallpaper... or better yet (more "Zen" if we can use that as an adjective) would be to record the whole game experience as a video that one could play back to re-experience the process. Anyway, really nice work. |
| Apr 30 14:42:52 | 42m 10s | Rainbow Flower | ♥ 1 | Neat atmosphere! I love the lo-fi graphics and feel of everything; it's all very original. I have one comment: for a game about exploration and interaction, I'm not sure you need things that damage you. For example, I wanted to explore back and forth, but kept getting hit by the cactus (unavoidable, right?). I wanted to explore, but I was getting punished for it. |
| Apr 30 15:06:42 | 23m 50s | OUTWORN INSTINCT | ♥ 0 | Excellent little story and great atmosphere! If you're looking to do post-jam improvements, consider getting someone to check out the text in the English version, and consider turning down the doppler effect on some of your sound effects. Great little interactive experience! |
| Apr 30 15:12:06 | 5m 24s | Gaia | ♥ 2 | Wow, there's so much nuance in the visuals of this game, and I love the mythical nature of riding on the back of a giant lumbering beast. It could have all taken place on the ground, but instead the whole thing is elevated (no pun intended) to a kind of "Shadow of the Colossus" type world. Really nice. |
| Apr 30 16:22:01 | 1h 09m | Globe Trot | ♥ 3 | This looks amazing! I'm trying to run it on a Mac and I'm getting the error that it "can't be opened." Any thoughts? Screen Shot 2017-04-30 at 12.21.09 PM.png |
| Apr 30 16:27:38 | 5m 37s | Secluded | ♥ 2 | Cool! This is a great little interactive experience, and I love the scene transitions. I might have found a bug. When I say "Okay" to my partner offering to get something for me, I seem to get stuck in a loop. Is that intentional? |
| Apr 30 20:36:13 | 4h 08m | Rise of the Termites | ♥ 1 | Neat game! Great work getting this all put together over the course of the weekend. It's pretty fun, but I feel like there's a lot of waiting around. Perhaps a speed-up-time option? |
| Apr 30 20:41:54 | 5m 41s | Infecteria | ♥ 0 | Looks like fun. I wish I had an XBox controller! |
| Apr 30 20:48:35 | 6m 41s | Conquery - Conquer The World! | ♥ 1 | Very cool! I like how it's like a hybrid tower-defense/action game. I couldn't always figure out how to dummy the AI out of hiding. I wish there were a more straightforward way to "git gud." |
| Apr 30 21:16:08 | 27m 33s | Daily Routine: the smallest worlds are the ones we get stuck in | ♥ 3 | Ha! Very cool (in an existentially disturbing kind of way). Really amazing work with the graphics for 72 hours. I'm going to echo the comment above that I would have loved some BGM too. I think that could have really pushed home the grimly comedic message (well, at least that was MY takeaway). Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 21:28:10 | 12m 02s | Little Fortune Planet | ♥ 4 | Wow awesome! This is super-original and pretty fun. I wish the pace were a little slower. I don't feel like I have time to both read the cards and watch the impact of my choices on the world above... I also seemed to keep getting the same few cards over and over. Definitely expand on this. It would make a great mobile game! |
| Apr 30 22:59:38 | 1h 31m | Ark of the new world | ♥ 1 | I am forgiven! This is great fun, but pretty stressful. I like the replay-ability from the randomization. Great, original idea. |
| May 1 01:11:33 | 2h 11m | One Giant Leap | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately I can't play this game because it's Windows-only, but it looks great! I saw your post about synchronization. In my experience with doing rhythm games, I found it useful to actually sync to have a master audio track that I know the BPM for, and then do some math to actually sync to the samples of that track (e.g. 120bpm track at 48K would be 24K samples between beats). That way you never have to worry about getting off as long as everything is locked to the sample count of the master. |
| May 1 01:13:38 | 2m 05s | Eine Kleine Insektmusik | ♥ 1 | Cool! Great idea. I feel like I'm back in an old Looney Tunes (or was it Tom and Jerry) cartoon. This would definitely be a fun concept to expand on. |
| May 1 01:19:37 | 5m 59s | Harry Inks Shrinks | ♥ 2 | Nice idea! I wish you the best in getting further next time! |
| May 1 17:59:50 | 16h 40m | Den | ♥ 2 | Very cool idea! I love the art style and the atmospheric vibe, all of which contribute to the overall originality. I'm not totally in love with the controls, I must say. I wonder if this kind of things might be better done with the keyboard. Keep up the good work! |
| May 1 18:33:54 | 34m 04s | Dungeon In a Bottle | ♥ 3 | Super-groovy! I love everything about this, from the graphics down to the feel. Actually, now that I think about it, more than anything this just FEELS really great--when I mess up, it's my fault never an issue of clumsy controls. How'd you do that?! Really nice work. |
| May 1 19:36:40 | 1h 02m | Hugely Unpopular President Simulator | ♥ 1 | "Ahhh," I say to myself, "Time for some pity political satire." But then I fire it up and I'm YUGE! I'm so yuge I'm crashing into buildings, and they're crumbling at my my giant... feet? head? This game is a trip. |
| May 1 19:45:15 | 8m 35s | Where is mommy? | ♥ 3 | Nice. I would just stay in my room if I were that little girl. Overall great feel. I like the kind of incongruence between the voxel graphics and the live voiceacting. |
| May 1 19:53:10 | 7m 55s | #LD38/new World(); | ♥ 1 | Totally sweet visuals. I love the character and the neon, Tron-like world. I don't do a lot of area fighters, so I might not be the best to comment, but the controls feel a bit bumpy, and I wish I had multiple attack (like a Dark Souls kind of thing--hard vs. soft, moving vs. still). Keep these visuals and refine the gameplay and I think you've really got something here! |
| May 1 20:00:37 | 7m 27s | Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive | ♥ 1 | HA! Sorry it took me a bit to get to your game, but this is TOTALLY a far more sophisticated version of the same idea I had. Really nice work. This is fantastic--far more along the Katamari vibe than I managed to accomplish. Keep up the good work! |
| May 1 20:11:00 | 10m 23s | Sling Ship 🌏 | ♥ 1 | Nice! I love these physics-based action-puzzlers. I wonder if the first level is too hard. I kind of wish I had a practice level to get my bearings a bit. Also, some kind of visual to show me how long my tractor beam should reach. Definitely something to expand on! |
| May 1 20:14:55 | 3m 55s | Cosmic Cleaner | ♥ 3 | Wow. Really nice work. This is a super-smart, fun game. I love the quirky, old-school style of everything having a facial expression (and the looks of horror before a planet impact). |
| May 1 20:21:06 | 6m 11s | Ruined Topology | ♥ 1 | Very cool. I really like the overall atmosphere. I wish there were some kind of hint (or rhyme and reason) to the exits to each tile, but I guess not having them is kind of the point! Definitely worth expanding out into a larger game! |
| May 1 20:28:13 | 7m 07s | The World of Zolcraft 🌎 | ♥ 2 | Nice original idea. I wanted to hammer more things! I love all of the hand-drawn animations. Nice work for 72 hours! |
| May 1 20:32:26 | 4m 13s | It's A Small World And It's Gonna Get Smaller | ♥ 1 | Very cool.... but of course anything that uses that day-of-the-tentacle-style lucasarts font is OK by me. Really, though, very fun and original idea, with neat controls. |
| May 1 20:35:29 | 3m 03s | Godly Corp. | ♥ 2 | I am the worst god ever. It's probably for the best. Neat game, the controls are a bit rough for me (but I'm on a trackpad). I like the "Surgeon Simulator" idea applied to the cosmic scale! |
| May 1 20:40:39 | 5m 10s | No Minor Task: Party of a Lifetime | ♥ 1 | Is it a visual novel, or a "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" homage? Either way. Really interesting, and great work for 72 hours. It's super-cool that your team all met online to make this happen! |
| May 1 23:11:02 | 2h 30m | uP-8: Microprocessor | ♥ 1 | Cool idea. I like the retro CRT screen too (maybe the fish-eye is a little too extreme on the help page though!). I feel like I'm doing Ludum Dare all over again as I play... |
| May 1 23:15:31 | 4m 29s | Floppy McFloppyface | ♥ 1 | Nice little game! I like the overall aesthetic, and I like the music, but the loop is so short I though I was going to go insane by the halfway point (problem solved after muting). Very cute! |
| May 1 23:18:44 | 3m 13s | World Tetris | ♥ 1 | Neat idea! It was initially a little deceptive for me, as I thought I was just getting into some tetris action, but this actually a nicely thought out puzzler (again, always blown away that people can think up puzzle games in a weekend). Great work! |
| May 1 23:35:34 | 16m 50s | Classical Conditioning Cooperation - [CCC] | ♥ 2 | Hey. Trying to run the HTML version on Gamejolt (no Windows machine available), and it seems to be freaking out. It immediately tells me "Fail" then "Well done", then the sprites just kind of go berserk. Anyone having similar issues? |
| May 1 23:42:19 | 6m 45s | My world | ♥ 2 | Nice little game with a cute ending (MILD SPOILER: Though it might have been to have a little bit of redemption, but maybe I'll just a sappy guy). The story drives me to keep playing as the challenge increases. Kudos for that! |
| May 1 23:48:12 | 5m 53s | a-small-world | ♥ 1 | With all due respect. My comedic timing is FLAWLESS. That said, I love the "hitting someone with a fish" animation. Really nicely done. I agree with the comment above: it needs some music or SFX! Keep up the good work. |
| May 1 23:50:47 | 2m 35s | Binary Glitch | ♥ 0 | Hey! Trying to play on a Mac, and getting the error that it "can't be opened." I don't think Mac unity files like RAR. I had a similar problem with someone else's entry, and it worked fine after he zipped it. Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 7.49.45 PM.png |
| May 2 00:18:40 | 27m 53s | Little Eco Planet | ♥ 1 | Wow, this is a crazy-complex puzzle game to have put together in 48 hours! Nice work! If this were a more traditional game, I'm not sure if ALL animals would be introduced in the tutorial. Maybe just the first four animals, then a few levels with just those four. The the next two and a few more levels, etc. It feels kind of a lot to have all those animals introduced without giving me a chance to really learn them! That said, I WANT to learn them! Great work! |
| May 2 00:27:42 | 9m 02s | Space Aliens Are Coming | ♥ 1 | AHHHH! The random piano music is driving me to the brink of madness! In all seriousness, though, great game. I like the control, and the sound effects are perfect. Nice work! |
| May 2 00:36:24 | 8m 42s | Suds of War | ♥ 2 | Awesome! This is the first turn-based strategy game that I've come across this time. Nice! I love these, this is like a very small-scale X-Com... not galactic in scope, just the bathtub. I'm going to echo the comments above about the controls, though. Maybe this and a quick UI cleanup would be nice post-jam polishes! |
| May 2 00:45:30 | 9m 06s | The Epic Quest For The Mighty Croissant | ♥ 0 | Really nicely done I love the voxel graphics with more polished lighting. It's a great aesthetic, and the music seems to really reinforce this atmosphere. I'm not in love with the controls. It seemed a bit clumsy to have the mouse for everything since you needed some fast paced action. Maybe a version with keyboard controls for the clods like me? |
| May 2 00:51:27 | 5m 57s | Cardboard Cats Online | ♥ 1 | This is a CRAZY ambitious game project. Kudos to you for going for it! I love the graphics and the atmosphere of it all. I couldn't get to excited about the feel of combat, but, if you refine that post jam, I think you've really got something great here! |
| May 2 01:12:17 | 20m 50s | The Curious Adventures of Ant, the Inebriated Ant | ♥ 0 | Ha! I can't believe I played that to the end, but it was super-compelling. Really nice work. I love the sound design. It somehow fits in throwing around a ragdoll ant. |
| May 2 01:31:12 | 18m 55s | Whale Fall | ♥ 1 | Cool idea, I like the idea of a constantly dropping platform level. That said, this is a bit challenging for me (I'm not much of a platformer myself), and I kept finding myself stuck, and unwillingly riding a whale all the way back to the bottom... |
| May 2 01:36:52 | 5m 40s | Monolith | ♥ 3 | Whoa. Very cool. I love the monochrome look and the feel of the speed. Really nice work. Sleek. As someone mentioned above, it is hard to tell which of those bullets are going to hit you. I wonder if there's a way to clarify that. |
| May 2 14:01:02 | 12h 24m | PogoPogo | ♥ 1 | Awesome! I love the stamina meter. It's like the Dark Souls of party games. |
| May 2 22:36:23 | 8h 35m | RC kitchen Throwdown | ♥ 0 | Neat little game! This is the first racer (kinda) that I've come across in this Ludum Dare! I agree with @kroute, above, that the car could definitely go a lot faster (maybe speeding up if you didn't hit anything for a while), but overall great first entry! |
| May 2 22:44:20 | 7m 57s | Two Dot | ♥ 1 | I. LOVE. THIS. I really do. Really simple rules, that lead to complex gameplay, the ideal that we all strive for. I also love your attention to things like teaching how the game works via the game itself, and the transitions between levels. Really nice work. |
| May 2 23:06:58 | 22m 38s | Life of an Ant | ♥ 1 | @Epicsoft, you couldn't find any bugs? Ok, that's a terrible joke, but this game is great. The life of an ant seems awesome if you get to listen to that music all day (except for the bully's of course). The movement feels a bit slow at the beginning when I'm still exploring and don't know where anything is, but perhaps that's part of the point--feeling like a rookie who's still learning the ropes. |
| May 2 23:09:56 | 2m 58s | X-Pressed Delivery | ♥ 1 | Looks like a lot of fun! If you can, make a web or Mac build, and I'd love to check it out! |
| May 2 23:13:04 | 3m 08s | The Burrow | ♥ 0 | This looks great! I want to play it! You should make a web or Mac build when you get a chance! |
| May 2 23:18:43 | 5m 39s | SORLD | ♥ 1 | Very cool. This is a great little game, and I love that you've been able to integrate a larger message into the game without being heavy-handed about it. |
| May 2 23:30:31 | 11m 48s | Gantan Guardian | ♥ 1 | Nice! I like how it all ramps up, so I have a chance to get the hang of things. Really great combination of graphics, gameplay, and audio. |
| May 2 23:56:07 | 25m 36s | Bamboo Life | ♥ 1 | I win! This was great. Why are games like this so oddly compelling (maybe I should have been a farmer). Plus, PANDAS and KOALAS together at last! |
| May 3 00:01:06 | 4m 59s | "It's a small world!" | ♥ 1 | Cute entry. The controls are a challenge, but I love the overall package and aesthetic! |
| May 3 00:04:34 | 3m 28s | Soleil | ♥ 1 | Sweet! I feel like I need a little more of a tutorial at the start here, but I got into it. Echoing @hegemege above: Time.deltatime! I used to do the same thing until someone pointed it out to me too. |
| May 3 00:06:48 | 2m 14s | My Purpose | ♥ 2 | Looks great! If you make a web or mac version, tag me in a post, I'd love to check it out! |
| May 3 00:30:58 | 24m 10s | A lone colony on a small planet | ♥ 1 | Nice! I love Pico-8, and this is really nicely done. I'm not sure if there's an ending. I purified a bunch of the planet, and I didn't feel like I had discovered much new, but, that said, I played for about 20 minutes, so it certainly was compelling! |
| May 3 00:34:20 | 3m 22s | Carefulzilla | ♥ 1 | Oh dear those poor people. I am NOT good at being a careful giant (good to note for future reference). Anyway, congratulations on a really fun and original game! |
| May 3 00:38:29 | 4m 09s | Food Fight | ♥ 2 | Nice! A twin-stick shooter with some personality. This comes together to be an altogether really fun experience! |
| May 3 00:45:21 | 6m 52s | This World Of Mine | ♥ 1 | Wow. This is really great. A relatively simple (but original) idea, but the gameplay FEELS really nice, making it really fun to play (supported by the graphics of course). |
| May 3 02:44:04 | 1h 58m | Planetary Escape | ♥ 0 | Hey. I can't seem to get the game to open. I'm on a Mac, and I've opened other .jar files in the jam no problem. Any ideas? |
| May 3 02:45:05 | 1m 01s | Supernova | ♥ 1 | Oh, man. I really want to play this--I dig the crazy CGA colors. Any chance of a web or Mac build? |
| May 3 02:49:37 | 4m 32s | Contamination | ♥ 1 | Awesome (yet disgusting) use of sound in a really fun game. I'm not generally a twin-stick shooter kind of guy, but I definitely could get into this one. |
| May 3 02:53:54 | 4m 17s | SmallHexWorld | ♥ 1 | Ugg. So much wasteland. Screen Shot 2017-05-02 at 10.52.22 PM.png Great game though, perfectly sized for a compo entry, and really fun! |
| May 3 02:54:54 | 1m 00s | Quack go the Ducks | ♥ 0 | I want to play this! Let me know if you make a web or Mac version! |
| May 3 02:55:48 | 54s | Asteroid Hopper | ♥ 2 | I wish I could play this! Let me know if you make a web or Mac build. |
| May 3 03:03:25 | 7m 37s | Dispyria | ♥ 2 | What the what?! I wasn't expecting much when I loaded this up but this is fantastic (not to mention HUGE for 72 hours). Really nice work. The jump was a bit floaty, but that's my only real complaint. Oh, was this supposed to happen? Screen Shot 2017-05-02 at 10.58.58 PM.png |
| May 3 03:08:42 | 5m 17s | A Cage of Love | ♥ 1 | Interesting. I need to try shooting heart bullets sometime. I really like the hand-drawn style, as it's something that really intimidates me. |
| May 3 03:09:17 | 35s | MARBLE GALAXY | ♥ 1 | Looks like fun. Let me know if you make a web or Mac version, and I'd love to try it out! |
| May 3 18:04:52 | 14h 55m | His own small World | ♥ 2 | Great atmosphere. On a Mac, the game seems to crash on the GameOver. |
| May 5 22:45:52 | 52h 41m | Fixville | ♥ 2 | Neat. I LOVE the camerawork in the opening. So much so that I was a little disappointed when it went into first-person mode. I got a bit bored following the team (I figured out I didn't have to a little late). Keep up the great work with the camera! |
| May 10 14:27:51 | 111h 41m | Pity About Earth... | ♥ 3 | Very cool! I like how it's a bit of stealth rhythm game too. Really original, great audio, and fun experience overall. |
| May 10 14:36:48 | 8m 57s | The Shifting Catacombs of Mu'ralagh | ♥ 1 | Nice! Very cool vibe, and really interesting, original gameplay. I'm not a huge fan of isometric jumping myself, but I slogged through that part, but the rest was fun! |
| May 10 14:48:39 | 11m 51s | The Flip Lands | ♥ 0 | Nice! Simple rules leading to sophisticated emergent gameplay (with multiple solutions at that)! Really well done. |
| May 10 14:50:23 | 1m 44s | Depth Gun | ♥ 1 | Echoing @akirassasin - Mac build is “damaged or incomplete” |
| May 10 14:51:56 | 1m 33s | Small World Fighters | ♥ 1 | Arg! I wrote you a comment, and it doesn't seem to have gone through! Anyway, it was something to the extent of the violent explosions into red mist were a big surprised based on the cutesy pixel graphics! I'm not sure if that's good or bad, buy it was certainly memorable! |
| May 10 15:02:41 | 10m 45s | Snowed In | ♥ 1 | Yes. Awesome. I like this a lot! The controls took a little getting used to, but, ultimately, they're completely integral to the gameplay, so I wouldn't change them. If you wanted to expand on this, I would totally play a series of short vignettes of fairy-tale games like this one! |
| May 12 20:08:09 | 53h 05m | Wandering Planet | ♥ 0 | Ha! We did indeed have very similar games! It's funny how such a broad topic can lead to such close ideas. I love it. Anyway nice work with the motion and variety of space objects (not something I was terribly successful with)! |
