" And for some reason the blocks can’t pass the planet or stack outside the atmosphere or everyone will die!" That gave me a good chuckle :D
The game is really cute, I really like the idea, too bad there is no sound but the gameplay is pretty cool. Its weird that completing a line doesnt remove it like in tetris ?

@astrkl thanks for playing my game!
The blocks do get removed, but you have to make a full ring around the planet. Maybe I should make this more clear in the instructions...

A very fun, but also super hard version of the good old game tetris. Some music and/sound effects and I would have been super happy. Well done.

The game felt like an allegory to how we take care of our planet ;)
This is the first time looking at the source code -- I've never actually used AWT, so it was pretty interesting to see how you made a game in 10KB. With some work you might have been able to create this game for a 4KB competition.

@nbilyk Shit! I hoped no one would look at my code because it is on of the worst pieces of code I've ever written. That's what happens if you try to make a game in 7h.
But anyway thanks for your feedback!

I have now also rated your game.
This was a cool concept! Took me a second to figure out that you had to do a complete ring around the planet. Having 4 surfaces to cover definitely changed the game quite a bit. Graphics were solid for the game. Sounds & Music would have been nice. Nice work!

Interesting take on the theme! Difficult but well made. Good job!

Fun little game! Never seen an idea like that for tetris.
Neat idea! It was initially a little deceptive for me, as I thought I was just getting into some tetris action, but this actually a nicely thought out puzzler (again, always blown away that people can think up puzzle games in a weekend).
Great work!
A really cute premise/twist on Tetris.
|+ The colors/style really complements the bright mix of blocks as they come together. |+ Easy gameplay to grasp.
|- The size of the screen combined with the speed and difficulty to move blocks made some of the difficulty feel more awkward than engaging. |- Beyond the idea there wasn't much engagement or desire to keep playing.
I think even just a change of the pace of blocks movement and a larger area to play with could open it up some more as a fun little passtime. A nice take on the theme with a solid idea that could shine with a bit more happening or a smoother play experience/motion with the blocks, still great work for 7 hours :)!
Nice and cheeky. Could use a little more forecasting and not have the game speed up so quickly.
Overall cool game :) But how can I delete these lines ? x) Moreover, you make these game with Java, you have all my gratitude ! Keep coding :)
Interesting little idea. Could definitely see this expanded into a bigger, flashier game.

Great little game! It wasn't that easy as I expected, well done!

The idea is pretty clever and this game seems like it could be pretty cool. However, The blocks move way too slowly (left to right) to give you any chance of placing them where you want, especially considering how far away from the planet they can start and how quickly they speed up. I think if you fixed that once thing the game would be a lot better.
The graphics are fairly simple but look quite nice. Some sound would be good, though.
If the blocks would drop from a higher distance and add some sound your game would be better. Like the idea you were going for.
Very interesting take on the theme + clever twist on a classic mechanic! It could use a bit more polish (the interaction feels a bit clunky, and some sound would go a long way towards generally improving the feel of the game), but overall it's pretty solid! I'd definitely be interested in seeing a version of this made without the LD time constraints.
