| Apr 4 04:43:42 | Ludare OS | ♥ 1 | I love the graphics and the concept. Overall I like the idea. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to play it. I tried twice, went through the instructions both times, and didn't figure it out. | |
| Apr 4 04:56:07 | 12m 25s | Casually Comitting Tax Evasion | ♥ 1 | Well done for a first jam! |
| Apr 4 04:59:54 | 3m 47s | Tantric Adventurer | ♥ 1 | I love the aura bar and the music. OMG the music! So good! |
| Apr 4 05:04:47 | 4m 53s | CliffCart | ♥ 1 | Took a few tries to figure out how to play, then it was very entertaining for a bit. I had fun and the concept is great. Great job! |
| Apr 4 05:07:22 | 2m 35s | Snooze | ♥ 1 | Mwuhahahah! This is such a hilarious concept, I love it! |
| Apr 4 05:09:51 | 2m 29s | Elephant In The Room | ♥ 0 | Very interesting idea |
| Apr 4 05:15:32 | 5m 41s | Venting Machine | ♥ 1 | Distance: 354 on game two. Pretty happy about that! Fun concept, great art |
| Apr 4 05:20:00 | 4m 28s | LifeWaster™ | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the game but your credits claim 3 people worked on it? This is a Jam, not Compo game, correct? It's great, I just think it may be mis-categorized. I loved the art and the energy of it. Great visceral feel. I wanted to know what was next. |
| Apr 4 05:27:40 | 7m 40s | Deathly Delay | ♥ 1 | Interesting and fun. I love donating a pile of cats to the grim reaper to not die. If only... |
| Apr 4 05:32:46 | 5m 06s | X-1 - A Game About a Robot Shutting Down | ♥ 1 | The HTML 5 link to itch,io is a 404. Did you make sure to publish and make it public? Too bad I wanted to play your game |
| Apr 4 14:49:25 | 9h 16m | Rising wind Island | ♥ 1 | Wow, well done! Excellent scoping of the project. Fully playable and fun game with good balance. I played and now I want to play more. |
| Apr 4 16:34:05 | 1h 44m | Dinosaur Apocalypse | ♥ 1 | I really enjoyed that. Hilarious concept! The frenetic feel as the pacing gets more extreme was perfect. My main piece of constrictive feedback is that the game didn't work in WebGl fullscreen, and I kept clicking off the edge of the game in the window causing it to pause. |
| Apr 4 16:40:44 | 6m 39s | LD_50_Lost Soul | ♥ 1 | Very fun concept. I liked learning the story. This guy needs to play basketball because *man* he can jump! |
| Apr 4 17:41:54 | 1h 01m | Cleric Wanted | ♥ 1 | Nice, complete game! I really enjoyed playing for a while. I stopped because the combat was dragging on, maybe if it were faster paced (e.g. dangerous monsters appear faster) would help? Overall a good effort and I *really* liked the art style. |
| Apr 4 17:47:13 | 5m 19s | The Hunger | ♥ 1 | I'm so excited to see a card game in LD50! This is the first I've played from this jam. It played well, good mechanics, very solid. Very impressive for 2 days. |
| Apr 4 17:49:51 | 2m 38s | DashFight | ♥ 1 | Excellent concept. I really appreciate the arrow-keys-only input you used. I'd love to see it fleshed out into a bigger game. |
| Apr 4 17:56:03 | 6m 12s | Outside the Town of Malbork | ♥ 2 | I laughed so hard at the S8E8 part. Very unexpected. Yeah this was a fun ride and the visual and auditory aesthetic you put together is pretty fun. Nice job. |
| Apr 4 17:59:53 | 3m 50s | LD50 Of Drones | ♥ 1 | You've got the core together. Sweet. I'd recommend a higher camera angle though. |
| Apr 4 18:04:15 | 4m 22s | Highrail to hell | ♥ 1 | Wonderful aesthetic and great idea for the core gameplay. It wasn't clear to me why I would want to prefer kick to sword. I loved the giant pile of running zombies though! |
| Apr 4 18:24:56 | 20m 41s | Escape from Lluna | ♥ 1 | I really loved the "fly for your life" lyrics in the game. Super great. I think the graphics would be much better if you used the aesthetic for the emery cubes for everything. the cubes looked great! The ground could be some synthwavey parallel lines on a dark background, or a series of cubes of different sizes, something like that. In any case well done on completing the game. |
| Apr 4 18:31:31 | 6m 35s | Whoa! It's like a space game or something! | ♥ 1 | I waited for about 2 full minutes before giving up. 😢 I love the art and graphics though, high marks for that. I'm curious, why did you opt out of audio for ratings? It was quite good. |
| Apr 4 18:37:07 | 5m 36s | Captain Starforce | ♥ 1 | Yay a Pico-8 game! I loved this. So good! The graphics were perfect, you really nailed it. The weapon is much better than the typical "Asteroids" gun. I would have appreciated knowing where the home base was so I didn't have to re-find it. Overall an excellent effort. |
| Apr 4 18:41:50 | 4m 43s | Save Gogo | ♥ 2 | Interesting concept for a game jam for sure. Crowd-sourced tomogachi? There's room for that in this world. |
| Apr 4 18:52:53 | 11m 03s | Death Is Real. | ♥ 1 | I loved your creative choices with the art. Nice level design as well. The window for the game was tiny on my monitor so it was tough to click the objects fast enough and place them in the right spots which I found a bit frustrating. Overall an excellent effort. |
| Apr 4 19:14:39 | 21m 46s | I.P.A.D | ♥ 1 | Good take on this genre. I had fun playing it. |
| Apr 4 19:22:21 | 7m 42s | Keep It Up! | ♥ 1 | Simple execution, I like it. Excellent job with scoping the project. I would like it to speed up a bit, I was getting a bit bored after a while. |
| Apr 4 19:35:22 | 13m 01s | The Third Age | ♥ 1 | Wow, caring for people in an assisted living home with death being inevitable, wonderfully dark yet also light and fun. |
| Apr 4 19:36:53 | 1m 31s | AstroPhysical | ♥ 2 | I got the error "Cannot be opened"on my Mac. It worked fine on my PC. Interesting idea. The instructions were super long, maybe not necessary to be that big? |
| Apr 4 19:47:02 | 10m 09s | THE LAST HOPE | ♥ 1 | I couldn't figure out how to place anything. It just said "no place" and had an X on the screen. Clearly other people are smarter than I am and figured it out. Sorry! |
| Apr 4 19:55:16 | 8m 14s | Cramzon Ad Creator | ♥ 1 | Really fun concept for a game. I had no idea why I would get various bonuses. +$100 one time, not sure why. If I knew it would be more strategic, I just placed the words with the highest values and called it a day. |
| Apr 4 19:58:55 | 3m 39s | Avoid the Drown | ♥ 1 | Fun premise. I think this could be expanded into a really large game. I loved that you could swim for a bit, I expected water=lava and was pleasantly surprised. Also having the capsule fall over when I'm not moving then immediately get back up was pretty funny. |
| Apr 4 20:03:30 | 4m 35s | Encroaching Darkness | ♥ 0 | Very interesting. I loved the hand coming out of the wall to swipe at me. The core is there but it wasn't very compelling to me as-is. With more time I think you could build a really good game. One thing, it was a *tiny* window and really hard to read the text because of it. I would have loved a fullscreen option. |
| Apr 4 20:09:16 | 5m 46s | Wayfinder | ♥ 1 | What a fun concept! Being the evil GPS was really cool. I think I've met that GPS before! |
| Apr 4 20:16:07 | 6m 51s | Conveyor Belt Attack | ♥ 0 | Windows Defender claims it has a virus and won't let me extract it. Due to the very real risk that you did upload I virus (sorry, I don't know you) I'm not going to proceed. |
| Apr 4 20:20:53 | 4m 46s | Hold the Door! | ♥ 0 | Hodor! I feel the mechanic could use more options than stand at the door and grab stuff from the box. Very unique idea, I would love to see you explore what you could do with it more. |
| Apr 4 20:24:35 | 3m 42s | Last Minute On Earth | ♥ 1 | Brilliant! Game feel was great, field of view was perfect, and I loved dodging the cops and their bullets. Well done. |
| Apr 4 20:38:23 | 13m 48s | Under the Moon | ♥ 1 | I really like the look of this game. |
| Apr 4 20:43:09 | 4m 46s | Wizard Hunt | ♥ 2 | Interesting concept. Could be a really fun game if fleshed out some more. Do the doors do anything? They look like they should. As for it begin "inevitable" that I catch and defeat the wizard 😆 I don't think that's true! |
| Apr 4 20:50:34 | 7m 25s | ...Rise of the Toasty Tomato | ♥ 1 | Solid game! I love the 1 bit art style. Need an evil deer? Add a pentagram to it! Loved it. UI mostly felt good. I don't like that the cards resolve in opposite order to the order they were played, and the confirmation dialog I feel "enter" should work for "accept". Overall though I really like the mechanics. Deckbuilders are hard, this is a really solid creation for a couple days. |
| Apr 4 20:54:23 | 3m 49s | The Pride of South Bastule | ♥ 1 | I received ` Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Users/david/Downloads/south-bastule/main.py", line 1, in <module> import os, subprocess, string, sys, time, webvtt, youtubesearchpython ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'webvtt' ` I recommend something like `py2exe` as an option for users that aren't willing to try and run the python code from command line. Sorry! I really would like to play it. |
| Apr 4 20:58:54 | 4m 31s | Demon's Call: Inevitable Summoning | ♥ 1 | I tried on both Windows an Mac. On Mac the window briefly flashed something then went black. Windows was just a black window. Sorry! |
| Apr 4 21:04:49 | 5m 55s | STAY | ♥ 3 | Very nice. I love the visual polish and how clear the platforms are. Also having different gameplay mechanics was really nice, very good for such a short amount of time! |
| Apr 4 21:51:31 | 46m 42s | SUNSTAMEN | ♥ 1 | Mac build doesn't work, I think it needs a file extension. My Mac opened it in a text editor. The windows version opened in a really tiny window. Otherwise it seems cool and I like the hand drawn art. |
| Apr 5 00:39:05 | 2h 47m | GrayBox | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept. Visually the orbs feel very oppressive. Wonderfully moody. Took a while to figure out how to play it effectively. |
| Apr 5 00:46:02 | 6m 57s | Asteroid Defense Force | ♥ 1 | This concept was amazing! I love having a series of mini games where you can buy upgrades to get more chances to play them or make them more effective. It was very hard but in a way that feels fair. Also text messages from "Prez" were pretty great. Text to speech was really smart. |
| Apr 5 00:49:29 | 3m 27s | Imagine Him Happy | ♥ 1 | Oh man, just the right amount of horrifyingly frustrating. Good game and good concept. |
| Apr 5 00:55:45 | 6m 16s | Lava is Deadly | ♥ 2 | Excellent concept. Really innovative use of delaying in inevitable. Well done. |
| Apr 5 00:59:26 | 3m 41s | Impending Doom | ♥ 1 | Such a great take on a clicker! Gets really tense as the tine asteroid bits get really close to earth. I love the letter from the president, nice touch. |
| Apr 5 01:03:51 | 4m 25s | Volcano Maintenance | ♥ 1 | Good time. I like the concept. I was at the edge of my seat waiting for the catapult to finally fire off the fruit seconds away from corruption. My only gripe was that fighting off the badges didn't feel very satisfying. |
| Apr 5 01:09:51 | 6m 00s | Last Look Up | ♥ 1 | Cool concept. I appreciate how many asteroids it takes to destroy a building, reminds me of the Rampage monsters doing damage. |
| Apr 5 01:15:15 | 5m 24s | Game User Experience Manager Simulator | ♥ 2 | I love the atmosphere, idea, and font so much. I really loved trying to force the user (who appears to be an idiot) into uncharted territory. Cool idea, I'd definitely play a larger version of this game. |
| Apr 5 01:19:05 | 3m 50s | The Joys of Being Undead | ♥ 1 | Great take on tower defense. I like the added mechanic of being able to block the path of the heroes. I really would like more than 3 levels, level 3 feels like the tutorial is over and it's just getting interesting! |
| Apr 5 01:22:29 | 3m 24s | Bomp | ♥ 1 | Those bombs don't mess around! It was pretty fun once I got the hang of what I was trying to do. |
| Apr 5 01:28:04 | 5m 35s | Save The Dinosuars | ♥ 2 | You know, you were right. Upgrades are where it's at! This is a lot of fun and it's the best gameplay representation of an asteroid I've seen all jam (I've seen a loooot of asteroids 😄 |
| Apr 5 01:33:59 | 5m 55s | ZEZ | ♥ 1 | I like the visuals of the character and the baddies. The audio really worked. All the little effect sounds, feedback, etc. was great. I would like a bit more challenge - more badges don't mean more challenge really because they heal me when they die. |
| Apr 5 01:37:40 | 3m 41s | NAP GUARDIAN | ♥ 2 | LOVE the art style. So much in this game. Nice job. |
| Apr 5 01:44:27 | 6m 47s | [Don't] Prune the Money Tree | ♥ 2 | Possibly the most unique and original game I've seen all combo. Very nice. |
| Apr 5 01:57:25 | 12m 58s | Horde of Methuselah | ♥ 1 | Ambitious! I love the map and zooming in and out. really game the game a great feel for scope. It was hard to tell which building was which, maybe if the color of the buildings was matched by the color of the fonts with the building names? Or a 2 or 3 letter abbreviated building name on the buildings. Very impressive you built all this, well done. Also the intro scene is great! |
| Apr 5 02:14:41 | 17m 16s | Road Rage Mage | ♥ 4 | Wonderful graphics. Great idea. Hard for me to strategically pick a move. I'd recommend the player action buttons be larger. |
| Apr 5 02:26:31 | 11m 50s | Take a Penny... | ♥ 0 | Great visual aesthetic. I like having business management sim logic in the game. I love the giant grin on the faces of happy customers! |
| Apr 5 02:42:03 | 15m 32s | All Charged Up! | ♥ 1 | Score: 37667. I cannot imagine getting almost triple that! This game was fun. Hard the first time, the second time I felt more on top of it. My first score, not so good 😆 I did the audio and graphics especially. A very Offroad vibe. Having the car be a RC car really helps my suspension of disbelief, I've always had issues with racing games and their invincible cars. |
| Apr 5 02:48:42 | 6m 39s | Elder Rang | ♥ 1 | Oh man, I laughed so hard and felt guilty doing it. Mission accomplished |
| Apr 5 03:06:39 | 17m 57s | Feast or Famine | ♥ 2 | Fun and very complete. Well done. I especially like how the visuals were all very cohesive. |
| Apr 5 03:13:50 | 7m 11s | Uranium | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept. Chill and relaxing game. I liked it. |
| Apr 5 03:17:39 | 3m 49s | MARCHINE | ♥ 0 | Crashes on launch 😢 |
| Apr 5 03:31:09 | 13m 30s | Salvation From The Alien Planet | ♥ 2 | Ambitious entry! So much work clearly went into this. |
| Apr 5 03:36:22 | 5m 13s | Peace Council | ♥ 1 | Lots of apparent depth. Very hard to figure out how to play. Not a bad effort and I really liked the visual aesthetic. |
| Apr 5 03:38:48 | 2m 26s | Don't Kill Your Darlings | ♥ 3 | Loved the graphics! Absolutely wonderful! |
| Apr 5 04:23:36 | 44m 48s | Chess at the End of Time | ♥ 0 | Brilliant idea. I really like what you did here. I immediately fully understand all the complex movement mechanics because, you know, chess. |
| Apr 5 04:28:28 | 4m 52s | Day of the Flame - LD 50 | ♥ 1 | Clean and simple, very good work. Some of the jumps were extremely challenging which will delight some players. I like the whole shooting + flammable objects on the ground mechanic. |
| Apr 5 04:32:20 | 3m 52s | Doomed To Progress | ♥ 1 | The progress bar on the bottom covered up the tiles and the UI buttons making the game mostly unplayable. Still, trying to click around that and take wild guesses as to what the buttons did it was still pretty compelling. I'm a sucker for hexagons, pixel art and strategy games so thank for for delivering all those! |
| Apr 5 04:41:40 | 9m 20s | DeckHex | ♥ 2 | Gorgeous game. Visually stunning. I really like the interactive novel aspect of it. |
| Apr 5 04:54:16 | 12m 36s | Ragnarök: Fight for The Yggdrasil | ♥ 0 | You have all the bones for a dungeon crawling twin stick shooter, I really hope you build it into a bigger game later so I can play it! |
| Apr 5 04:56:22 | 2m 06s | You Are A Bomb | ♥ 1 | Quality offering on a solid and simple premise. |
| Apr 5 04:59:16 | 2m 54s | B-Game | ♥ 1 | Very pretty game. Excellent pixelate and a very unique concept I appreciated. Also great job on the sound. |
| Apr 5 05:03:47 | 4m 31s | Dungeon Crawl | ♥ 3 | A very unique game. I like your take on dungeon crawling and RPGs. Also I love the pixelart! |
| Apr 5 05:07:56 | 4m 09s | Fading Crown | ♥ 3 | Wonderful art style. I love the parallax, atmospheric projection and orange accents on greyscale. Really good stuff. Game feel is also good but the hits on the enemy don't feel great, maybe the enemy needs to register the hit more clearly? This is a very solid title, well done. |
| Apr 5 05:53:00 | 45m 04s | ESCAPE VELOCITY | ♥ 2 | You're trying to teach me how to type lol! Seriously I like it, very good creation. Visually great! |
| Apr 5 06:01:37 | 8m 37s | Rising Tide | ♥ 2 | Whoa a really interesting and good take on minesweeper. I like it. More forgiving than the original and the water mechanic is super interesting. |
| Apr 5 14:44:20 | 8h 42m | Bullets For Hell | ♥ 1 | Wow I got 50,000 points on my first go! I love when scores are like that. The killing of demons is super satisfying, I love that. The music works as well. I found the controls a little bit floaty but nothing I I couldn't get used to. Also the screams, perfect! |
| Apr 5 16:15:44 | 1h 31m | All Will Be Dust | ♥ 2 | The mood of this game was great. The music, story, darkness, brief flavor text between waves, all felt great. I died when I was pinned against a wall. |
| Apr 5 16:22:12 | 6m 28s | RESET | ♥ 2 | Ooh a narrative game, and with so much content. I love it when I can interact with almost everything but I don't have to, it really makes me feel like I'm in control of what I'm doing and not being railroaded. Also my favorite part was the music, very spot on. |
| Apr 5 16:26:56 | 4m 44s | Overflow | ♥ 1 | I've always liked these kinds of games. It's fun. |
| Apr 5 16:30:43 | 3m 47s | Mages and Essay Pages | ♥ 1 | Very unique idea. I like how you played with the theme of the jam. Good stuff. |
| Apr 5 16:37:28 | 6m 45s | Cup Half Full | ♥ 1 | Whoa this game scared the hell out of me when I first saw a screenshot. I was like "it's going to be all chaos!" and then it wasn't. It felt very satisfying when I started clearing work, like I had really accomplished something. Then after a while it started to feel slow sine I just had everything cleared for a really long time. For me I think increasing the difficulty a bit faster earlier on would help a lot. Overall though great game and very genuinely entertaining. |
| Apr 5 16:59:50 | 22m 22s | Hold The Line | ♥ 2 | Wow RTS games are a ton of work, you actually pulled it off. Well done! I had a tough time figuring out how to aim the unit formations, but they mostly pointed in the directions I wanted them to go. Except my first game's first placement which was a giant pile of horses that just ran off the screen. That was pretty funny. |
| Apr 5 17:16:52 | 17m 02s | CATCH THE PHONE! | ♥ 0 | Of all the games I've played on LD50 this one probably made me laugh the hardest. Well don't. |
| Apr 5 17:34:49 | 17m 57s | Heaven Fallen | ♥ 1 | Wow this was really fun. I got super into it. I like how clear the icons were for everything. Not an art masterpiece but extremely functional and clear. I like the slow progression of things you can build. |
| Apr 5 17:37:34 | 2m 45s | Outrun the future | ♥ 2 | The controls did not work for me at all. Looked great though. |
| Apr 5 17:40:44 | 3m 10s | Torture and Ascension | ♥ 0 | Really nice. I wanted more. You really nailed the mood on this one. |
| Apr 5 17:49:31 | 8m 47s | Sakura Shrine | ♥ 2 | Beautiful game. I really liked the feel of the world. The area was just the right size and the interaction with the world really resonated with me. I wish more RPGs would have this much care into them! |
| Apr 5 18:24:13 | 34m 42s | Corgi, Protecc! | ♥ 4 | I love just how specific **gas-operated rotating bolt 7.62×39mm rifle** is, it really adds to the humor. This is great, really funny. I love how buff doggo is! |
| Apr 5 18:28:09 | 3m 56s | Snowcastle Meltdown | ♥ 1 | Very unique mechanic and use of theme. I really like it. |
| Apr 5 18:43:29 | 15m 20s | Never High Noon | ♥ 0 | I absolutely love the concept! Really fun game. |
| Apr 5 18:48:07 | 4m 38s | The Endless Night | ♥ 1 | ZQSD? I found that hard to work with. Gorgeous game otherwise. I recommend adding arrow keys. As for the art and feel, WOW this game is beautiful. |
| Apr 5 18:50:58 | 2m 51s | The Sea Won't Stop | ♥ 1 | Pretty funny. I love seeing narrative games in LD. Well done on finishing. |
| Apr 5 18:53:51 | 2m 53s | Battery Low | ♥ 5 | So much personality! I love it. Really good entry, I want that rover character in more games. |
| Apr 5 19:00:47 | 6m 56s | The Subtle Hourglass | ♥ 1 | I love it! Well done building a rewind mechanic, that's tough. I like being able to undo my endless list of failures. Fun sound too. |
| Apr 5 19:06:40 | 5m 53s | Cursed Ronin | ♥ 2 | Beautiful game! I love the pixel art, especially the environment. The delay on the weapon attack was a bit rough for me but fits the theme well. Jumping felt really good and I liked the badguys. |
| Apr 5 21:40:53 | 2h 34m | 1 Man 6 Bullets | ♥ 5 | This is so cool! I love this idea! It's a real challenge in all the good ways. I've never seen a mechanic like this before. Also your art and music are stellar. |
| Apr 5 21:47:42 | 6m 49s | Dungeon Dummies | ♥ 3 | Really great work! These were every interesting puzzles. Also I killed my guys many, many, many times learning what motivates them 😄 A+ for art and music. |
| Apr 5 21:57:46 | 10m 04s | Delay the Invasion | ♥ 1 | I made it 341 seconds, wave 5. Pretty happy with that, now to try again. This is really solid gameplay, well done. I like the variety of enemies requiring that I adapt how I play. |
| Apr 5 22:01:26 | 3m 40s | Too Cute for Space Fights | ♥ 2 | Extraordinary! Very beautiful game. Music was spot on as well. Very well done. |
| Apr 5 22:10:24 | 8m 58s | The 13th Colony | ♥ 0 | This game is great! I love the depth to it and the multiple play mechanics. You are right, our games were very similar in many ways! Your game reminds me of the old Star Control 2 game, one where you kept driving around planets grabbing resources and avoiding aliens. I really like your art, audio, and overall design. I would *love* to play a bigger version of this game and it's one of the LD50 games I plan to play many more times as-is. Good job. |
| Apr 5 22:15:22 | 4m 58s | Don't Freeze | ♥ 1 | A fellow "survive the freezing cold" developer. Yay! I really like the mechanic. |
| Apr 5 22:28:41 | 13m 19s | Meteor Power | ♥ 1 | Very interesting. I like the idea behind it. The controls were very tricky for me to figure out but your instructions on the web page helped a lot. Retro music was spot on. Graphics were very charming. |
| Apr 5 22:58:39 | 29m 58s | Foundations | ♥ 1 | It's a solid solitaire game, nicely done. |
| Apr 5 23:03:32 | 4m 53s | Crab Battle | ♥ 1 | I laughed really hard at the end. #crablife |
| Apr 6 01:05:48 | 2h 02m | Cosmic Contact | ♥ 2 | Wow I really enjoyed exploring this ship. Excellent use of Synty assets and style. I *really* appreciate the signs everywhere telling me which rooms were which way. I get lost in so many first person games, this was a real pleasure to navigate. Production values were nice, atmosphere was great, really a wonderful effort. |
| Apr 6 01:12:57 | 7m 09s | Gladiatorus | ♥ 1 | This game is great! I love the telegraphing of attacks, also the "you must attack or you'll get sad and lose" mechanic was excellent. Really good mechanic. No frills, nothing you didn't need, just a great execution of the core game that's really fun. Good job. |
| Apr 6 01:19:34 | 6m 37s | No Match | ♥ 1 | That was great! I found myself developing all these mnemonics for remembering cards, trying to come up with systems for which cards I've already picked, and even then beating 3 rounds was a challenge. Great game. Also I *love* the aesthetics. Visual and auditory for sure. |
| Apr 6 01:44:05 | 24m 31s | Geometry Survivors | ♥ 1 | I love this control mechanic. Auto-fire and aim at the mouse is my favorite for bullet hell games. |
| Apr 6 02:02:10 | 18m 05s | Wormageddon | ♥ 2 | The blood splash! So good!!! I love it. The worm swipe hits me and teardrops of purple blood everywhere! So good! This game is great and I *love* the aesthetic. Music is just right. Well done. |
| Apr 6 02:30:10 | 28m 00s | Long Live the King | ♥ 1 | I love the idea! A assume there is 1 level that cannot be beaten? That was my experience. Technically I created a "draw by repetition" but the queen didn't care! As for the narrative and story, well, I think it's great and you should make more. Keep building, it's wonderful. |
| Apr 6 03:05:11 | 35m 01s | ENTROPY | ♥ 0 | What a great concept! I played the first level and although I enjoyed the movement physics I was like "what's the point, just hit the special box?" Then level 2 arrived and I was all "ooooooooh! brilliant!" Very good concept. Also the drumming was wonderful. How did you do it? Just hands on the table with a cell phone microphone? |
| Apr 6 03:32:14 | 27m 03s | PsyDog | ♥ 2 | Hey I saw that stream! It was a good laugh. |
| Apr 6 03:55:53 | 23m 39s | Wizardfall | ♥ 1 | This is wonderful. I'm a bit fan of trying to find out how to uncover all the endings. It's unique and a really good jam entry. |
| Apr 6 04:17:50 | 21m 57s | WHEN NANA SAYS IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL | ♥ 3 | This was a really interesting game. I've never seen or heard of anything like it. There's so much to explore here, I really like this idea. Right now you're leaving me inspired to think about what more can be created with this format. Works on my Mac :) Excellent use of depth. I want to play this in a printed paper form now! |
| Apr 6 05:10:16 | 52m 26s | Run Wacho Run | ♥ 7 | So funny! Loved it. |
| Apr 6 05:24:30 | 14m 14s | Death's Gambit | ♥ 1 | So much good stuff in this game! I like the stressful push your luck mechanics - do I use the card now or more efficiently later, but a bad roll = :(. Yes, this was really fun. Especially liked the graphics. |
| Apr 6 05:44:31 | 20m 01s | Flooded Caves | ♥ 1 | This was really fun. It seemed so easy at first, and then... pain! So frantic. I learned late to the game that I could hold down the mouse button though. I'll save more than 9 people next time! |
| Apr 6 06:57:22 | 1h 12m | Over the Rainbow Bridge | ♥ 1 | Wow. beautifully crafted. I really like how the collectibles matched the emotion of the story at the moment. |
| Apr 6 23:58:29 | 17h 01m | From Dust | ♥ 0 | I am really happy to see you included a distance to home. That gave me a clear goal to work towards and a sense that the game wasn't going to be endlessly repeating. Also the graphics were very charming. |
| Apr 7 00:19:12 | 20m 43s | BLACKSUN | ♥ 1 | I survived for 453 days on my first game. About to start my second now that I know how to play. I really liked this game. A lot. My favorite things were definitely: * Excellent strategic depth, a really good resource management game * Wonderful art * A great job creating an extra time pressure with the gods timers making me constantly adjust my strategy * No clear "better than the others" resources but rather "what ingredients do I need to keep god x/y/z happy" Really good game, one of my favorites. Some feedback: * I would have like to see my score go up. It counted down how many days until the end of the world but I didn't see how many days I was alive. * After I had researched a lot of jobs I couldn't see what the job on the bottom did because the mouse-over popup was hidden under the screen * You have a lot of empty space on the screen early on (before unlocking all the jobs). I would recommend you put the rules there for people that blasted past the text at the beginning so they could learn what they are doing (skipping instruction text is common for gamers). |
| Apr 7 00:25:30 | 6m 18s | The Last Patrol | ♥ 1 | Not a bad start for a space combat game. Physics felt great. Just FYI on my monitor it has issues: Screenshot.png |
| Apr 7 00:29:32 | 4m 02s | Starline Rescue Squad | ♥ 1 | Ha! This game was hilarious! I love the throbbing ship graphics and the overall look and color palette. All the colors, why not it's a PARTY! |
| Apr 7 00:37:32 | 8m 00s | Deck And Decay | ♥ 3 | Really great concept. My favorite part of this is how you handled the theme. Many people (including myself) decided "you're going to die, delay it" was a good way to interpret "Delay the Inevitable". You took it a step further with giving the player a positive purpose and specific goal to accomplish *before* the inevitable zombification occurred. Excellent! I was completely taken by surprise by the card game battle, and it was a good surprise. The card game fight was strategic and fun. |
| Apr 7 00:40:15 | 2m 43s | Oh No, Earth! | ♥ 0 | Excellent interpretation of this genre, specifically the ability to blow up your own ship creating a blind spot. That made it much more interesting than without that. |
| Apr 7 00:47:46 | 7m 31s | Losing Your Sheet | ♥ 1 | Really funny, I loved seeing the guy swim after the ship. Truly a unique mechanic. Good stuff! |
| Apr 7 00:50:47 | 3m 01s | Wonderlife | ♥ 2 | Good Reign-like game. You nailed the core and added a lot of polish. |
| Apr 7 00:54:46 | 3m 59s | Exclusion Zone | ♥ 1 | Artistic direction, mood, atmosphere, spot on. Graphics were clear, minimal, functional, and attractive together. Well done. |
| Apr 7 14:31:06 | 13h 36m | Mythic Garden | ♥ 5 | A game about trying to keep your plants alive and inevitably failing, I wan relate! I like the voice and the music - the parched "WA-TER" voice was the best. I really like how the whole things felt well put together, really has a professional casual game vibe. Being able the choose upgrades was unexpected and great. |
| Apr 7 15:26:09 | 55m 03s | Damaged | ♥ 1 | Huge effort! Large amount of space to explore. I had fun. |
| Apr 7 15:31:38 | 5m 29s | Gobbey wants to eat | ♥ 0 | Cutscenes! Cutscenes with piano playing with background! So cool! My first attempt at fishing, horrifying. My second attempt, I had an entire aquarium swimming inside me. That's a really neat effect BTW. |
| Apr 7 15:38:25 | 6m 47s | Doomer Pinball | ♥ 1 | I love having a pinball game where you're hitting coworkers away! Great idea. The music felt really, really good. I would recommend a faster moving ball the increase the energy and excitement and bigger paddles to counter it. |
| Apr 7 18:26:09 | 2h 47m | Dreadlife | ♥ 1 | Excellent use of assets. Solid game feel and mechanics. Good entry. |
| Apr 8 01:15:21 | 6h 49m | I Sink Not | ♥ 3 | Best boat building game all jam! 😛 Honestly I really liked it a lot. Putting together a wacky boat and then watching it sink after a few kilometers was really fun. Interesting concept. I loved seeing all the text on the side. My favorite piece of info was "debug = true". |
| Apr 9 03:55:58 | 26h 40m | Love Finds A Way | ♥ 1 | What an interesting and fun game! I love the mechanics you built and the idea of delaying bachelors from finding true love, hilarious! Full marks in humor for sure! The graphics, sound, and polish were all in a very good place. Personally I found the first level too difficult and the difficulty jump to level 2 was also a bit much but it was worth the effort to overcome that difficulty because it's a really rewarding play experience. |
| Apr 9 04:02:22 | 6m 24s | Glub-Glubmarine | ♥ 1 | OMG the art is so amazing! I love the shark! This is interesting and very frantic, you captured the sense of urgency really well. |
| Apr 9 18:01:31 | 13h 59m | Somnipathy | ♥ 4 | Incredibly immersive. Excellent atmosphere. I really like this world and want to see more of it. The sound effects were amazing, I love the slurping sound of losing my sanity! Really well done. |
| Apr 10 03:05:06 | 9h 03m | Settlers & Prophecies | ♥ 1 | This is one of my favorite games so far. A good city builder, a lot of depth. Really great effort. I know what you mean about people finding or not finding things obvious such as building a road over water. That's why we give feedback! :) |
| Apr 21 19:10:50 | 280h 05m | Block Wizard Arena | ♥ 0 | Very solid core for a game. I'd love to see what a more developed version would look like. |
| Apr 21 19:17:56 | 7m 06s | THEMARUNGA | ♥ 1 | I found it difficult to figure out initially how to play, and the "play" button was so small it took me a while to find it. The game itself was very interesting and unique, I love experiencing completely new game experiences like this. |
| Apr 21 19:25:19 | 7m 23s | What Have You Drawn? | ♥ 2 | Wonderful! Loved it! Really a fun concept and the visual look was amazing. I especially loved the transitions when getting hit and the edges of the world. Two things, I kept clicking outside the window and the game lost the focus. I think it continued to play during that time. I would recommend something like fullscreen (even if it needs black bars to force 4:3) or pausing the game when clicking outside the window. Other thing, the Mac build didn't work. The PC version did, but the Mac one refused to launch. |
| Apr 21 19:28:05 | 2m 46s | Oh No My Trophy | ♥ 1 | What a fun idea, I really love it. People running for all the trophies, messing with them, a fun idea for sure. The wall of rules at the beginning was really intimidating and didn't stay in my brain, I would recommend placing the effects of the currently selected weapon onscreen somewhere so the player doesn't have to commit the interactions to memory in advance. Otherwise it was fun, felt good, and was really funny. |
| Apr 22 05:49:22 | 10h 21m | Inevitable Seige | ♥ 1 | You requested criticism which is a really smart and mature thing to do. Good job with that. It absolutely is a very impressive creating for such a short time, you should be really proud of it. I think the things that are weak about it which definitely cost rating points are the following: * You started by telling the player to read the tutorial, then had a very long and wordy tutorial. That will always hurt, better to teach the player how to do things with onscreen instructions. * You required keyboard input in a primarily mouse-based game. The first time I played I couldn't figure out how to build a building. This is because I skipped the tutorial the 1st time (which most players *will* do, just gonna happen). The second time was better. * The units were too small and fast moving initially. I built several buildings but the very first guys snuck past. It's far better to make the game so easy for the first couple of waves that the player can basically ignore the units and fiddle with looking at the units to build, etc. * Several times I couldn't build but couldn't figure out why * The art needs a more unified color palette. * Not much visual feedback for things. Daniel Username has much wisdom to share, I don't want to double post but honestly I pretty much 100% agree with his points. It's a good core of a game. |
