I enjoyed the game but your credits claim 3 people worked on it? This is a Jam, not Compo game, correct? It's great, I just think it may be mis-categorized.
I loved the art and the energy of it. Great visceral feel. I wanted to know what was next.
@david-york Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it. This is a compo submission, the whole description is a joke, thought it was absurd enough.
I got a bit of a black comedy kick out of this one, it was unexpectedly funny. I went in expecting just a cynical clicking game, but the more I played the more ridiculous and over the top it got, was a nice surprise and got a few chuckles from me. Very simple game play wise, I don't think it was super clear at first what I could click and what it was doing, but eventually I figured it out. Some more variety could have been nice, with some different type of upgrades etc. All in all it was simple, but I just couldn't put it down until I figured out the final way to mess up my life.
@porcus-pie I'm happy with some chuckles!
Porcus Pie review LifeWaster: "I just couldn’t put it down until I figured out the final way to mess up my life."
That's a selling line ad, have to put it somewhere, amazing.
Glad you liked it!

I almost wasted my finger :D
Cool game - very similar to real the real life!
@madr your finger will be ok, your life, I don't know? JK Hopefully will meet again, thank you for playing LifeWaster, come again!
@sirjupitron You have my permission to use that anywhere, within reason of course 😅
@porcus-pie already did! you signed a contract with LifeWaster, be warned lol

Really liked the concept on this one! I've never really played a clicker, but this made me want to try and make one of my own with the clever APP-style design you have here. I didn't even have to read the "HOW TO" section and sort of just intuitively figured it out. Loved the increasing levels of desperation (and the "womp womp womp" music accompanying them) to stay young. I played with a mouse, so by the time I lived about 50 years I think carpal tunnel was setting in trying to max my clicks per sec lol. Great work!

nicely executed, maybe some texts are hard to read, but not big issue.
Very nice clicker, with some in-depth progression and mechanics! The soundtrack is fire as well! The only suggestion I have is in regards to the font, sometimes it was pretty small and difficult to read but thats about it! Did not come across any bugs and it worked like a charm! Great work!
@foxwater I've struggled but the jam time limit helped me to close it. Always try. Thank you.
@mgear Thanks, didn't have time to focus on visuals, I'll update that.
@danashrulez Thanks a lot, will adress the font issue.

Nice clicker! The soundtrack also worked really well ^_^
I like the mood of the game :)

I feel like my life was wasted so hard, even though I only made it to 46. Good job.
How does killing your soul work though?
I really liked the sense of humor that this game has going for it, and the decision to pair it up with an idle clicker was perfect; I don't think it would have been nowhere near as effective if it was paired up with some other genre. Depth-wise there's not a lot to it, but I think it adds a lot to the experience - again, it works perfectly for a "LifeWaster" app.
I was a bit confused about the home button's presence at first, since I thought it was just some kind of gag that you can't leave the app - it's all you're wasting your life on now - and it was only while I was on the shop and clicked on it that I realized it just took you back. Maybe the home button could just only appear when the shops are active to make its communication more clear. Other than that, great work!

Nice game, the graphics looked pretty good, the music and the way it changed as you went to the right was awesome. Found one thing a little bit annoying, when you were moving through the screens too fast it would buy some things during the transition.

Clever interpretation of the theme, and an ounce of social commentary to boot.
@m11 Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Music was a big part besides being so simple and loopy, glad you noticed it.
@loic-blumgi Thanks for playing!
@jepjoh2 you wasted, be proud! Killig your soul is only a description but now you made me think that could be something else, could be too much taking care of your soul as well? Thank you.
@cruise-elroy Thank a lot for your review, will keep in mind about the home button, to be honest, it was going to be some kind of usable item that maybe saved your life, but run out of time, begin with the game really late, mid sunday. Thanks a lot for playing.
@lenan Thanks, music was important for the overall mood of the game, glad you noticed it. Checked, happened to me too, buying while scrolling but didn't have time to polish that, started with the game late Sunday so it is what it is. Thank you so much for passing by.

Haha really loved the hilarious social commentary on this one. The irony of an infinite clicker about devices.
In terms of controls, I found it a little difficult to work out how it worked at first, clicking things didn't give much feedback on what happened so I found myself clicking all over the screen until something did something. Also maybe the clickable things could have a little more contrast against the background so they stand out. On the other hand, the interface confusion kind of mirrors the real ad-filled world haha.
Loved the sense of humour, great game.
This is a nice cookie clicker-like game about the inevitability of death, no matter how pretty who try to match yourself look. The gameplay here works really nicely with the tounge-in-cheek humor style you're going for. The graphics and audio are simple, but effective. I especially like how the music changes based on what particular thing you're looking at. Not sure of what else I could say about it-it's just a fun, little game.
Nice work.
I loved this one. The theme, the humour, everything just clicks (heh). The music also fits perfectly (I like that each option has its own music). "Live enough to make us rich" resonates so hard haha - as some people have commented, the social commentary is on point.
Really good job, had a lot of fun. Thanks!

I loved this one, it is a solid full 5s. Inevitable death wasting time on the app, I feel personally attacked :D
Fun audio cues, nice clicker game loop, but I feel like those other sprites could be more meaningful. I did not know what was I buying, just clicking. I wasted so many hours on a coockie clicker and I feel like I could do the same on this one, just polish, make more things and release! Great job
I am not the smartest person and I didn't know at first that I had to clik in the midle xDD I am not really into clickers but I liked the graphics, audio and mood. Good job!
@jordwest Definitely need some more work and polish, specially on the visual clarity. Thank you for playing & for getting the little details.
@proxy-games Thank you for playing & stopping by.
@conradoclark Thank you for clicking (hehe) by.
@island-jam-2-group-3 if you made your game & i've played it, you're on the smart side & good of this world. Thank you for playing.
@gummibot I would love to change the sprites like a fetus drained baby, kinda dark but you know, what's the price of beauty? lol Cookie clicker was the jam, it still is, what a waste of time lol Thanks for playing
Cool game. I like your approach to the theme. The art style and game play work well together. Nice work.

I was pretty confused, not gonna lie.
But I really like the theming and that fever-dream sense of confusion!
Or maybe that's just because I've had about three hours of sleep.
