| Oct 5 15:24:44 | Grave Juice | ♥ 3 | OOooooooooooohhhh, I really really like this! The polish here is really evident, and listening to the game with headphones was a treat! Even if you didn't make the sounds yourself, you mixed them very well and used them to great effect! I also loved the classic pixel art aesthetic mixed with some really nice touches, like the liquid physics inside the bottle. :) This is one of those games that seems super simple, but actually hides a lot of depth, which I really appreciate! It was a neat little "aha" moment when I discovered that I can catch the vials I throw to myself instead of just waiting for it to stop moving. I can see this being a neat little speedrun game. I do kind of wish I had a more accurate trajectory prediction before I through the vial though. Especially during the arrow with all of the criss-crossing arrows, I felt like I was over/under shooting quite a bit, and couldn't really get a read on where my vial was going to fly before I threw it. That's just a minor polish thing, though. This game is all-in-all really really REALLY solid! Excellent work!! | |
| Oct 5 15:51:53 | 27m 09s | WhileLoops | ♥ 2 | This is a very neat idea! It took me a while to get to grips with it, but once I figured out what was going on, I thought the concept was very clever. :) Having your score also be a manipulatable variable was a very nice touch, and made for some very interesting choices! The random background level was a liiiiiiiiiiittle hard on the eyes, but all-in-all I really enjoyed the personality as a whole. I appreciate the fact that the game actively tries to prevent you from processing information. It's pretty antithetical to typical game design, but in this case it works to great comedic effect. xD Polish was also top-notch as well, awesome job! |
| Oct 5 16:03:31 | 11m 38s | Redneck Raceway | ♥ 1 | This is like high-octane slot cars and I love it!! The camera was really well done, and I actually had a fun time getting to grips with the controls. The super floaty boat handling added a lot to the comedic value. π Wish there was another goal other than getting the best loop time (at least I didn't notice one after 3 laps), but I had a lot of fun, and I think that would've been the case without a goal at all anyway, so it's not that big a deal. π Nice job! |
| Oct 5 16:10:42 | 7m 11s | Orbit | ♥ 3 | Very neat! I appreciate the simple concept and equally simple controls. I think the difficulty curve could use some tuning. The first time I played, I had like 8 asteroids on the field, and it was much more manageable when my next attempt started me with 2 π I also got a level with 0 asteroids and immediately won. Still though, I like the dichotomy created by having to use your own health meter to destroy the asteroids. It's a novel little risk/reward mechanic. With a little more polish, this could make for an awesome mobile game! |
| Oct 5 16:16:12 | 5m 30s | Lost Caravan | ♥ 3 | Nice little game here. :) I love the artwork and sound effects! The player collider seemed a little bigger than I'd expect it to be which contributed to a lot of my deaths, but overall I had a fun time with this one! |
| Oct 5 16:21:30 | 5m 18s | On the Phone (2020) | ♥ 2 | This is pretty neat! I love experimental entries like this. I can see this being kind of a neat live wallpaper or something. The ambiance and lighting are really nice. I'ma try to come back to this one later in the day to see how things change. π |
| Oct 5 16:28:52 | 7m 22s | In The Loop | ♥ 1 | This one melts my brain a little bit...In a good way! It's such a simple concept but I've never actually seen anything like it! I can see myself coming back to this one to try and master. I wasn't able to collect any of the power-ups (I'm assuming you have to run the ball into them), so I have a lot of room for improvement! |
| Oct 5 16:53:50 | 24m 58s | Orbeatz | ♥ 1 | Aaaaaawwwwwww yeeeeee I love it when people do rhythm games for LD! I love the aesthetic of this one. It has a lot more visual flare than a lot of jam games! I had a big of an issue with sync every now and then, though...Are you guys keeping time with dspTime? Nice job overall! I'm a huge fan of DDR so this one really clicked with me. π |
| Oct 5 17:32:47 | 38m 57s | Endless | ♥ 1 | Veeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry bold of you to make a game about content like this. I really like what you're trying to accomplish here, though if I could make a suggestion: It seems like you're trying to have multiple messages here, and in my opinion they seem a bit at odds with each other. You want to shine a light on mental health issues and help people who don't have them understand them. At the same time, you want to give people who struggle with mental health issues hope for a better future (from what I could gather from your ending text). Given this, I'm not sure I agree with how you chose to end your game with a suicide. It was very effective as a way to convey the feeling of hopelessness to someone who might not understand what the character is experiencing. However, I think ending the game by forcing the player to kill themselves kind of undermines what happens afterwards when you're telling the player to "not give up hope." I think maybe if you left the ending a bit more ambiguous, it would have strengthened both of your messages. Sorry if this all sounds super critical. I tend to write a lot more and be much more critical of games I really like. At the end of the day, your game brought out all of these thoughts and opinions from me, which means it made much more of an impact on me then most LD games. On the positive side of things, I think you really nailed the aesthetic and atmosphere. I love the design of the character model, as well as all of the visual effects going on here. I really appreciate what you're trying to do here. Keep up the good work. π |
| Oct 6 05:02:30 | 11h 29m | Stuck in the Office | ♥ 1 | Aaaaaaahhh, I'm a sucker for puzzle platformers, and this one's no exception. All-around very well-polished, nice job! I do think the timer is a biiiiiiit too short, especially during the later levels where it basically demands perfection, but I'm not really bothered by those kinds of issues because that's a lot to expect from a jam game. I had a lot of fun with this one, thanks for sharing! |
| Oct 6 05:11:19 | 8m 49s | Bjorn to Dance | ♥ 4 | Now that's a fiiiiiiiiiiiine lookin' game ya got there. π I really love the personality of this one. The concept is absurd, and I just love the name Pillage People Dance Troop. π I do wish that the music played more of a role in the gameplay, but that might just be my personal preference towards rhythm games, haha. Despite the simple gameplay, I can tell that this was polished to a T. It feels super smooth and seamless, very nice job! |
| Oct 6 05:21:24 | 10m 05s | Alter-Nate | ♥ 3 | I love the look of this one. :) I thought I was going crazy and misremembering the hair color of my character for a second, and I very quickly realized that you literally were switching character sprites on me! Really nice touch. π I do feel that the controls are a little floaty for the precise platforming that you're demanding from the player, but overall I had a great time exploring this little lab! |
| Oct 6 05:29:10 | 7m 46s | Mr. Cheeks Sweet Dreams | ♥ 6 | "Aaaaaaaawwwww, I wonder what that little guy's dreaming about" Little Guy: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Legit made me laugh out loud, well done. π Despite the simple premise, I like that there's some depth to the mechanics here. Attacking to stop yourself from ascending too high was a really cool thing to discover. I never quite figured out what the purple blocks do though... Super awesome job on this one! |
| Oct 6 05:38:39 | 9m 29s | Lily Pad Drifters | ♥ 2 | First of all, 10/10 splash screen. Second, I know a classic PS1 Frogger death animation and sound when I see/hear one, nice touch. π Third, I really like this game. It's a classic "simple to learn hard to master" concept, and while it took me a bit to get to grips with the controls, once I was able to understand them I was dartin' across the lily pads and catchin' flies like a pro. I only got a chance to check out the first two levels, but I'm definitely making a note to come back to this one. |
| Oct 6 15:55:45 | 10h 17m | Clockmaker | ♥ 3 | Ooooooohhhh, not often I feel controller vibration in a jam game. ;) Very nice touch. I'm super impressed with this one. It seems super polished, looks fantastic, and the puzzles are all really clever. I will say though that the puzzles probably ramp up in difficult too fast. There were some levels where I had to discover and apply a lot of new concepts all at once, all while figuring out how to layout my recording timeline, which left me stuck more often than not. Solving those puzzles was super satisfying, but I can see a lot of people getting turned off in frustration due to the pacing. That being said, I don't expect that level of balance in a jam game. The fact that y'all were able to come up with these tricky puzzles in such a short amount of time is commendable in itself. Fantastic work! |
| Oct 6 16:32:16 | 36m 31s | Sisyphus Beetle Takes His Daughter to Work | ♥ 3 | The calming tropical music combined with the screams of the damned was a hilarious juxtaposition. π This is a nice and simple game, but has a ton of personality and a wonderful art style. Nice job! |
| Oct 7 20:39:00 | 28h 06m | (Nu) Da Drum | ♥ 2 | *Cracks knuckles* Alright, I have some things to say about this one. First of all, I think the premise here is super neat, and I can appreciate how difficult it must have been to make something so personal and put it out in the world for strangers to play. Kudos to you for digging deep and finding something in this theme that you felt was worth sharing like this. I loved the way that this was presented, too. Having the sketches appear as you got closer to them, and changing the audio as you progressed really got the player to focus on the narrative you were trying to tell. In that regard, I think it was very effective. However, I do think that you'll find a lot of players won't be able to experience all of this because the core mechanic here is a bit difficult to get to grips with. The short amount of time you're able to hang onto the bear, combined with the bouncy physics and the fact that your grip bar depletes the moment you hit a wall, makes for some pretty frustrating segments that I feel detracts from the story you're trying to tell. The good news is that, while this is a significant problem for the overall game, it seems like the fix for it is pretty straightforward. Giving your players some more leeway in controlling the bear, and designing your levels in a way that doesn't demand skillful dexterity would probably be enough to have players really connect with this experience. This all might sound super critical, but I'm mostly typing so much because I like the core of what I see here, and I'd love to see it improved upon. I always like to encourage projects like these, and I hope people are able to connect to this one the way I did. π |
| Oct 8 04:49:01 | 8h 10m | Pig-em-Up: Lassos Are Loops, Too! | ♥ 0 | *Lasso game fist bump* Very very cool! :) I love the personality of this one, and the absolute bonkers gameplay suits it very well. The physics were a little wonky, but once I got used to 'em I was able to intentionally fling cowboys into cacti and dynamite. I can see this being expanded upon in the future, nice job!! |
| Oct 8 05:11:26 | 22m 25s | Loophole Kingdom | ♥ 1 | I played this for waaaaaaaaaaay longer than I should have. Very rarely do I see writing this clever in a LD entry. The world and the characters were all so great, and the story was simple and concise enough to warrant multiple playthroughs. This has gotta be one of my favorite entries so far, well done! π |
| Oct 8 05:29:04 | 17m 38s | Hope/Remember | ♥ 2 | Love the musical motifs in this one. :) This is actually a surprisingly huge game for something that was made in such a short amount of time, nice job! This may be the youngling in me talking, but I do kinda wish I could move around without going hard mode on the WASD keys, but I'll admit there was a certain retro charm to the whole experience. :) I unfortunately didn't have time to complete the whole game in one sitting, but I hope to come back to this one again soon! |
| Oct 8 05:46:45 | 17m 41s | Amusement Shark | ♥ 1 | So so so so cool! I love the simplicity of this one, and yet it was able to put me in a "flow zone" that I don't normally get out of jam games. These levels are all really cleverly designed, and once I started to get used to the character movement, I really felt like a master of planning things ahead! I will say that some of the levels required a liiiiittle too much precision for my tastes, but I like how you gave the player some leeway between hits so one mistake doesn't completely ruin them. The art as well was top-notch. Everything was so cute!! Very nicely done, all-around. π |
| Oct 8 05:59:19 | 12m 34s | Woofice Chair! | ♥ 3 | So glad to see you guys back in action! π As always, the art and polish here is some top-notch stuff! It simultaneously hilarious and adorable at the same time! I think my personal favorite touch was actually the sound design. Each of the collision sound effects for the weapons was super satisfying and pleasing to the ears, I loved collecting new ones just to hear what they sounded like! I'm not sure I noticed a difference between the good bois, but I appreciate that the variety of options were there! As usual, the level of quality y'all are able to push out in a single weekend is impressive. Excellent job! |
| Oct 10 20:31:51 | 62h 32m | Escape from Arachnea! | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for being the guinea pig on our disaster of a stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765835341?t=00h15m25s) π I actually had a lot of fun with this one. The concept of your score being tied to the speed of the game was super novel, and I loved being able to choose my weapon (even though I kinda screwed myself by picking the shotgun, lol) I also loved the visual flair with your health being indicated by the color of the background. All-in-all, nice job! |
| Oct 10 20:41:34 | 9m 43s | MonkeyVM | ♥ 3 | [Y'all really bent my brain with this one](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765835341?t=00h37m44s) I have to say, this game is really sharp-lookin! And it's super impressive that y'all were able to make so many levels. Cheers to your team for finding a way to genericize the process to maximize your efficiency! I *do* think that the difficulty ramps up a bit fast, but I generally don't fault that in a jam game since you don't really have time to playtest. Regardless, this one gives you a lotta satisfaction when you solve a puzzle, and I love it. :) |
| Oct 10 20:51:19 | 9m 45s | Divine Drifter | ♥ 2 | [This game was so slllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765885173?t=00h11m04s) The visuals, the music, the simple mechanics, this all works super well together! I kinda wish sliding underneath semis was easier to do, but I love the fact that you can do it at all! I think with a little polish, this game could see some success on Steam or something. π Nice job! |
| Oct 10 21:00:11 | 8m 52s | Re:Live | ♥ 3 | [I think I mentioned this on stream too,](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h06m30s) generally I feel like game mechanics that revolve around you killing yourself are kind of tedious, but this one was a welcome exception! I think what makes a big difference is that the levels are all single-screen, and the reset time is super minimal. The puzzles definitely get super tricky near the end, but I actually think the ramp up to them was nice and gradual. Overall, well done! |
| Oct 10 21:06:47 | 6m 36s | The Island | ♥ 2 | [So sorry I wasn't able to get this game to work on stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h32m40s) I really liked the idea of what you had going on here, so I'll probably take a look at it again at some point in the future. Definitely bookmarking this one in case I catch any other streamers playing it too. :) This was *super* ambitious for a jam game, so I'm really impressed by what you were able to accomplish on this one! |
| Oct 10 21:11:55 | 5m 08s | State your name | ♥ 1 | [Played your game on stream last night.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h20m54s) Super cool little narrative here! I've found a lot of jam entries so far where people have gotten very creative with the writing, and this one was no exception. Nice job! |
| Oct 10 21:28:57 | 17m 02s | Co-Routine | ♥ 1 | I liked this one quite a bit! The visuals were adorable and the mechanics were definitely unique. However, I didn't feel like I had enough of an opportunity to really learn all of the rules before being forced into the thick of them. There are a *lot* of different things going on here, and it's really hard for a player to keep track of them all, especially in the first level. Still though, once you get to grips with everything, this game's a pretty good time. π |
| Oct 10 21:36:55 | 7m 58s | Press The Button | ♥ 1 | For better or for worse, [your game made for some excellent background noise for my buddies and I as we chatted about random stuff for like half an hour.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h56m12s) In my opinion, that's the hallmark of a good idle game right there. π I liked the look and personality of this one, and the exponential mechanics are exactly what I enjoy in games like this. π Very nicely done, I liked this one a lot! |
| Oct 11 20:18:35 | 22h 41m | Another | ♥ 1 | Super impressive that you managed to make this one all by yourself! [We had a lot of fun with this one on stream last night.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=00h48m59s) What I appreciate about this one was how simple yet challenging it was. I think the simple gameplay really allowed you to polish up the other important bits. The controls were nice and responsive, and the visuals were exceptionally top-notch, especially for a compo game. Very nicely done! |
| Oct 11 20:30:39 | 12m 04s | The Looppy | ♥ 2 | [This one was so adorable to play!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=01h00m17s) (Sorry if we went on a couple of tangents as we were playing...) I love the art and simplicity of this one. :) I love games that have a unique take on the theme like this. Very nicely done! |
| Oct 11 20:44:50 | 14m 11s | O O O | ♥ 1 | [Yoooooooooo, thanks for hanging out in the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=01h12m01s) π I'm sure you've already heard all of my feedback last night, but just wanted to reiterate that I really liked this one! Nice an easy to understand premise with that classic "hard to master" gameplay. I also love how much variety you were able to cram into this entry. Nicely done! |
| Oct 11 20:51:19 | 6m 29s | Ouroboros | ♥ 1 | [This game drove me to madness, as I'm sure you witnessed on stream last night.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=01h49m03s) You really nailed the "Nintendo Hard" vibe, for sure. ;) I especially love how this game had such a simple concept, and yet it was a premise that I had never really seen before. The adaptive music was also a super nice touch. And the fact that you got all of this working on an NES is just absolutely bonkers to me. So cool! |
| Oct 11 20:56:26 | 5m 07s | LoopChan | ♥ 3 | [Thanks for comin' to hang out in the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=02h10m58s) π Sorry we went on so many tangents, your patience was both admirable and appreciated! I liked the premise of this game quite a bit! I think if the controls were tightened up a bit, this could make for a really neat mobile game, since there's only one button to contend with. Nice job! |
| Oct 11 21:03:40 | 7m 14s | Trials of the Twisted Timber Land | ♥ 2 | [We beat this one on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=02h31m58s) (Excuse the random tangents and questionable discussions, we are far from a professional group here π ) This one felt very nostalgic for some reason. I'm a fan of these top-down action games, and this one fit right into that wheelhouse! I think the hitboxes are a little wonky, but it wasn't anything detrimental. I also liked how the music would layer onto itself the further you progress, that was a nice touch! |
| Oct 11 21:15:52 | 12m 12s | Stuck in a drum loop | ♥ 1 | This game hit aaaallll the right buttons for me in terms of what I enjoy in a game. [Thanks for submitting it to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=02h49m41s) This is a super cool premise, and I'd love to see it expanded into multiple levels with different dope beats. I think if the controls could be a liiiiiiiiittle bit tighter it could eliminate some frustration during those tight gaps you have to cross sometimes, but overall this was a super solid entry! |
| Oct 11 21:22:57 | 7m 05s | RECoil | ♥ 2 | [Thanks for submitting your game to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=03h23m44s) Sorry if we went on a few tangents while we were playing. π I love how tight and concise this one was. No unnecessary fluff. Just a solid, easy to understand mechanic with just enough polished content to show it off. I can also see this getting expanded into a full game given a longer timeline than a game jam weekend. Best of luck on this one, it was super cool! |
| Oct 11 21:31:55 | 8m 58s | Pillars of Anguish | ♥ 2 | Eat your heart out @honest-dan π [Thanks for submitting this to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=03h31m32s) I think the streamer leaderboard on your game page was an excellent idea, it certainly sparked a competitive fire in me I didn't know I had. While the core mechanic is fairly similar to a lot of games I've played, I think the personality you've added to this one makes a huge difference, nice job! |
| Oct 11 21:37:55 | 6m 00s | Splines 'n Shapes | ♥ 1 | [I don't think I need to reiterate how much I enjoyed this one](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=03h54m37s) π This one activated all of my pleasure centers. The colors, the sounds, the satisfying puzzles, it's the whole package. Very nicely done with this one. It's easily one of my favorites! |
| Oct 11 21:44:21 | 6m 26s | Looped | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting your game to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=04h13m21s) Sorry you weren't around for us to chat with you. As a result, we maaaaaayyyyyy have gotten off on a few too many tangents while playing, but hopefully the gameplay we recorded is helpful enough. π I like how your health bar is tied to your ability to move, that's a pretty neat idea! From what I can tell though, it looks like the collision boxes of the enemies don't shrink like the rest of the sprite does? There were a couple of times where my ring shrunk unexpectedly even though I thought I had more time to shoot an enemy... Regardless, nice job on this one! |
| Oct 11 21:48:15 | 3m 54s | Purifier | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/767081908?t=00h02m09s) I had a lot of fun with this one. π The visuals and the juicy feedback really elevate the relatively simple premise, and this features objectively the best "final boss" I've seen in a game jam game. Excellent job! π |
| Oct 11 21:51:56 | 3m 41s | A Night Around the Fire | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for tolerating our ridiculousness on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/767081908?t=00h13m45s) π This entry was super neat. The art and the concept were super unique. Gave me some serious Limbo/Inside vibes. Super impressive y'all were able to crank this out in a weekend, nice job! |
| Oct 11 21:59:30 | 7m 34s | Goop Loop | ♥ 1 | [I didn't have the chance to beat this on stream, but you best believe that I will be coming back to this one.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=03h06m04s) You really captured that Bennett Foddy aesthetic, I really like/hate it. Very simple mechanic that weirdly seems ridiculously difficult to get to grips with. I also love your little audio cues taunting the player as they try to get up a hill. I'll be back for this one, it shall not defeat me... |
| Oct 11 22:07:03 | 7m 33s | Beyond Death | ♥ 5 | [Got a chance to play your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=00h24m12s) This is a super impressive entry with some stellar art direction and audio work. The mechanic itself is a bit simple, but the polish in every other aspect more than makes up for that! I'm mad jealous of your guys' skills, well done! |
| Oct 11 22:10:20 | 3m 17s | you are dead | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=00h41m01s) (Sorry if we go off on a couple of tangents, we're far from professional here... π ) Very nicely done on this one. The premise is pretty simple, but I love the art direction and sound here. It really helps sell the mood! Cheers on a solid entry! |
| Oct 11 22:17:47 | 7m 27s | Lucky Lefty Loves Loops | ♥ 2 | [THE STREAMER BECOMES THE STREAMED!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=00h12m10s) I feel like I got way more into this one than I anticipated. Having a record to beat seems to awaken something in me that I didn't know I had... Also, the engineer in me was uber pleased when he saw that inception effect that starts a round over. That was super duper slick. π I think the simple premise here actually lends itself well to a time-trial. It really makes the player search for any sort of exploits that they can take advantage off to shave off some time. Although I can't believe y'all are able to get less than 30-second runs. You peeps be nuts... |
| Oct 11 22:26:30 | 8m 43s | Paper Planes | ♥ 0 | [Dang, this game was slllllliiiiiiiiiiick](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/766889390?t=01h38m12s) Super clean visuals, a simple premise polished to a T, and just an overall solid package here. I have little to no complaints on this one, very very nice job! |
| Oct 16 01:51:12 | 99h 24m | Hot's Dogs | ♥ 1 | Dig the style on this one. π I do kind of wish the donut shop workers actually did something to you, and perhaps could chase you off the beach, but I got a kick out of the mechanic of firing long-range hotdogs into peoples' mouths. π Nice job! |
| Oct 16 01:56:20 | 5m 08s | Salt + Nostalgia | ♥ 0 | borkedGame.png Can't seem to get past the title screen? :( I tried clicking on the tiny "Start" button in the bottom left, but it's not responding... |
| Oct 16 02:00:08 | 3m 48s | Hell Ring | ♥ 0 | Controls on this one felt nice and snappy, I like it. :) I do kinda wish the enemies were a different color palette from the background, since they're a little hard to see, especially while you're runnin' and gunnin'. Otherwise though, I had a lot of fun with this one! |
| Oct 16 02:15:02 | 14m 54s | Hyperloop | ♥ 5 | Bruh, this is some top-notch quality stuff. π The sound design is superb, the visuals and lighting are excellent, the story is simple but effective. You got more than a few jumps outta me throughout the game, and I enjoyed it wholeheartedly. I do think some of the enemy placements were a bit unfair, especially when they had the high ground in a narrow chasm, so you had to sort of bait 'em down in order to tackle them safely, which I think broke the immersion and atmosphere a bit, but that's a tiny blemish on an otherwise excellent game. Hats off to y'all, this is prolly the best overall package I've encountered in this jam so far. |
| Oct 16 02:23:55 | 8m 53s | Coalescence: Battle System Prototype | ♥ 1 | Neat little idea. :) I think if you had a bit more feedback when the player clicks an ally so you get confirmation that your next click is going to direct them somewhere, it would go a long way. Also, I would often lose my characters in the scuffles, and would struggle to differentiate friend from foe, since they use the same pool of sprites. I know that my characters are marked with a (P), but that can be hard to read sometimes when everyone's goin' at it. Otherwise though I like what you got here! I'm also in agreement that the theme was kind of "meh" this time around. Props to you for tossing it to the wind while making something anyway! |
| Oct 16 02:28:36 | 4m 41s | Group Chat | ♥ 1 | I dig objective-less games like this. π I love the variation of character designs here! I do kinda wish zooming in would also enlarge the group chat cameras, but I still had fun tracking down where everyone was on the map. The camera angles and bobbing movement of everyone's faces really nailed the "Facetime" aesthetic. π Nice job! |
| Oct 16 02:35:35 | 6m 59s | Stuck In A Loop | ♥ 1 | Neat little puzzler. I liked the wacky art on this one, especially the weird thing that shows up after you login to the computer. π The camera kind of bugs out sometimes, but it's nothing too detrimental. Seems like there's a lot going on in this game, so the fact that it works so seamlessly is commendable! |
| Oct 16 02:43:45 | 8m 10s | Snake Loops | ♥ 1 | Well this art is simply adorable! I also love the novel take on the theme here. :) I do think the map is a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle too big for the sort of arcade-y style game you're going for here, but I did enjoy exploring around quite a bit! Unfortunately I think the short time limit discouraged me from taking in all the scenery. :( All in all though, I have little to complain about this one. Nice job! |
| Oct 18 20:45:49 | 66h 02m | Chipperton | ♥ 2 | [Thank you so much for submitting this game to the stream and being such a wonderful presence in chat.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=00h20m59s) π (I still blame @elysiagriffin for igniting my bloodlust...) It's super bold of you to put so much hidden content in this game that many people might not even realize is there. If I could offer one piece of advice, maybe preventing the player from sheathing their tool when they run might result in more people discovering the hidden depths of this game. Although, if you want to keep that stuff "hidden," then you probably already made the right call. π Good luck on the Switch port!! |
| Oct 18 20:51:53 | 6m 04s | Stuck in a Timeloop | ♥ 4 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=01h31m50s) Super sorry about forgetting to update the game name at the bottom of the screen, we're still a little new to this. π Also, we tend to go off on a lot of unrelated tangents, so apologies if we didn't talk about your game enough! π Overall, I really liked this one. It's one of the more ambitious "use your corpse as a platform" games I've seen for sure, since there's a lot more moving parts (using your replay as a platform must've been quite the ordeal to code). Perhaps consider the button beeping noise to only trigger when the currently alive character steps on it? Otherwise, I had quite a bit of fun with this one! |
| Oct 18 20:55:30 | 3m 37s | My Summer Roller Coaster | ♥ 1 | [I am so sorry about the unrelated chaos that ensued as we played this](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=01h57m35s) Overall, I felt like this was a hilarious entry. π I loved the fact that the passengers could fall off the cart into oblivion, and the whole premise of it was just downright charming. The mechanics were a little tough to get to grips with (what even impacts the customer rating, for instance?), but as a whole package, I think you nailed the goofy, frenetic mood with this one. Nice job! |
| Oct 18 21:00:35 | 5m 05s | Cycloop | ♥ 2 | [Super sorry we got distracted with a bunch of unrelated conversation as we played this](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=02h20m04s) π However, I still have some thoughts! I think this game is downright adorable, and I love the aesthetic of it. I do wish that the mechanics were a bit more clearly defined. I got a sense of the fact that I needed to turn certain buttons on and off in order to open the exit door, but I never got a good grasp on what a button would do before I pressed it. The red and green lines were decent indicators, but I still had trouble figuring some things out. I think with a little more polish, this game could turn into something really neat. π Overall, well done! |
| Oct 18 21:04:51 | 4m 16s | Broken Dungeon | ♥ 2 | [The stream devolved into absolute lunacy when we started playing this, and I apologize in advance.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=02h36m12s) π I enjoyed this one quite a bit! The humor was on-point, and the simple visuals did a good job of portraying everything in an easy-to-understand way. :) I do think it got a *little* too hard near the end where I stopped playing, but overall this was a super fun ride. Great job! |
| Oct 18 21:09:22 | 4m 31s | Trapped On Track | ♥ 3 | [Things got a little out of hand as we streamed this the other day, sorry in advance.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=03h08m34s) I really like how unique this entry was! I did have a bit of confusion when trying to understand the mechanics fully, but I think with a little more polish and playtesting you can have something super interesting here. Keep on keepin' on! |
| Oct 18 21:12:55 | 3m 33s | Loopsie | ♥ 1 | [I don't promise that the content will be quality, but if you'd like to see your game being played we streamed it this past weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=03h49m36s) Some final thoughts: I liked that this was a nice simple game, and I didn't notice any major bugs, which is a *huge* feat, so congrats on that! I think the trial-and-error gameplay got a bit repetitive near the end, but thankfully the restart time was pretty immediate, which cut out a lot of frustration. All-in-all, a solid entry. Nice job! |
| Oct 18 21:16:45 | 3m 50s | Stuck In a Hoard (While Looping) | ♥ 1 | [Hiya, thanks for submitting your game to the stream the other day!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=03h31m34s) This was a nice simple entry that I actually had quite a bit of fun with. :) The fact that you were able to crank it out all by yourself was super impressive. I do think it gets a little easy to cheese the longer it goes on, but the blue enemies seem to do a lot to spice things up. Nice job! |
| Oct 18 21:20:54 | 4m 09s | Singularity | ♥ 2 | [Sorry everything devolved into chaos while we played this on stream.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=04h16m13s) π I actually really really liked this entry. The mechanics were super straightforward and unique, and I can see a LOT of room for expansion on it (which I personally hope you do). The visuals and audio were also all super slick. As a whole, this is a very solidly put together experience. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to introduce the concept of an AI opponent into the tutorial. I was totally caught off-guard when I discovered that I was essentially going to be racing somebody in the actual game. Otherwise though, this one's gotta be one of my favorites. Hats off to ya! |
| Oct 18 21:23:45 | 2m 51s | SUSHI INK. | ♥ 2 | [We played your game on stream this past weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=04h41m49s) This was a super neat entry! I do think that maybe there's a *bit* too much going on all at once sometimes, but at the same time I think it adds to that chaotic "Overcooked" energy that it seems like you were going for. I think with a bit more polish and playtesting, this could make for a super fun party game to maybe play with friends! |
| Oct 18 21:26:01 | 2m 16s | Orbits | ♥ 0 | [This was a nice little entry to round off the stream with.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=05h02m40s) π I like little experiential games like this. It was nice and simple, but you managed to inject a lot of personality into it as well. Very very cool stuff here! |
| Oct 18 22:54:40 | 1h 28m | Soundcloud The Concert: The Game | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773852287?t=00h17m10s) Sorry if we go a little out of control with the tangents, that tends to happen... π This entry was neat. π I think it need a liiiiiiiittle more polish in the tutorial/balance department, but I loved how the music kept layering on more and more effects. The art was also super nice. π All-around nice work! (PS: Add screenshots of your game to your game page! You have some super cool visuals, if you showcase that I'll bet you get more engagement π ) |
| Oct 18 23:01:44 | 7m 04s | Universalis | ♥ 1 | Yeeeessssss, updated game page! [Thanks for joinin' us on stream last night, it was great to have ya!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773852287?t=00h30m48s) π I think I've said pretty much everything I wanted to say about this one last night, but just wanted to reiterate that I loved this entry. I think this face pretty much says it all: oface.png Keep on keepin' on man! I'd love to see how this progresses. π |
| Oct 18 23:04:38 | 2m 54s | Dinosaur Game Level 1 | ♥ 0 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773852287?t=00h44m29s) I had some genuine fun with this one. It really teleported me back to the era of early 2000s flash games. I'd say you nailed that vibe to a T. π Controls were a little floaty, but overall very nicely done! |
| Oct 18 23:08:15 | 3m 37s | That Dream Again | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773852287?t=00h57m26s) This entry is shockingly well-done for being put together by such a small crew. I'd say you really nailed the tone and aesthetics perfectly. π The controls were a little clunky here and there (I felt that combining jumps and glides required a bit too precise of timing, for instance) which detracted from the experience a little bit, but not enough to really pull me out of the game. Really really solid entry, this one. π |
| Oct 18 23:12:23 | 4m 08s | Terror of the Lazy River | ♥ 1 | [Looks like the VOD turned out okay!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372) π Super sorry I wasn't able to get this working perfectly on stream! I'll be honest, I think it's criminal that this game doesn't have more ratings. It's simple, charming, and rewarding to play, through and through. Never really encountered any bugs, and even though I only played it for a little bit, I could feel myself improving with each round. Very awesome job here, I hope you get more attention! |
| Oct 18 23:17:18 | 4m 55s | Smoothing things out | ♥ 1 | [I tried playing this by myself on stream last night](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=00h20m52s) π First and foremost, dawg...Dem sound effects are WAAAAAAAYYYY too loud and aggressive! Hot damn, I almost had a heart attack. Once I turned it down though, I actually kind of liked the simple idea you have goin' on here. π I wish I had an opportunity to play this with some friends so I could get a better sense of the strategy behind it, but I can see myself havin' fun with this one if I find the right people to play it with! |
| Oct 18 23:21:20 | 4m 02s | Fire in time | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=00h27m24s) Sorry we went on some pretty *deep* tangents while we were playing. Hopefully the footage of your game is still enjoyable. π I actually really enjoyed this one. π The premise was simple to understand and execute on. I do wish that I had a better idea of where the fireball was going to bounce off to, as I made a lot of miscalculations in my trajectories. I also never really saw a need to use the "empowering" effect too often. Still, I had more than enough fun just trying to bounce the fireball all around the screen. Very nice job here! |
| Oct 18 23:28:22 | 7m 02s | The Mortal Coil | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for bein' such a good sport on stream last night!!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=00h42m56s) Sorry we hijacked the gameplay with a bunch of nonsensical stories. π I liked this game quite a bit, and I think I said everything I wanted to say about it on the VOD. Overall, this is a solid entry that I find absolutely incredible that you completed solo. Solid kudos to you!! |
| Oct 18 23:35:20 | 6m 58s | HONK II | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=01h16m12s) Gotta say, the amount of visual flair on this one is insane. Super duper well done there! I do wish there was a bit more feedback when you got hit, though. I kept neglecting to look at my HP and would sometimes be shocked to discover how low it was. I also think the level was maybe a *bit* too long to complete on one life without checkpoints, but that might just be because I suck. π Overall though, a super solid entry, nice job!! |
| Oct 18 23:39:04 | 3m 44s | Oh my Life | ♥ 3 | [So sorry we forgot to update the game title on stream!!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=01h38m19s) π Thanks for bein' a good sport about it! I think we said pretty much everything we wanted to say about this one on stream. π Just want to reiterate that I really really enjoyed this one. I always respect folks who take the plunge to try and do something more serious for LD. It's a super scary thing to do, but in y'all's case I'd say it definitely worked out. Very nice job! |
| Oct 18 23:48:43 | 9m 39s | West | ♥ 0 | [I am so so so sorry for the unadulterated tomfoolery and unrelated tangents that went on as we played this game on stream.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=01h56m16s) I hope the gameplay footage is at least entertaining. π I have some mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, it looks super duper great. Even if you used third-party assets, I think there's something to be said about knowing how to use them well, and I believe you definitely have. On the other hand, I was never really sure about what I was supposed to be doing the whole time. π Every time I would find what I thought was a lead, it would end up being a dead end, which was kind of frustrating. On the positive side of things, I loved that not only could I make my way all the way over to the arch in the background and get on top of it, but that you also had the foresight to put something up there for players to discover. π I thought that was super duper cool. |
| Oct 18 23:58:20 | 9m 37s | Collateral Control | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=02h37m24s) Sorry if we got off on a few tangents, we tend to do that. π Overall I liked the concept of this one. I do think there could be a little more information portrayed to the player, as I found myself to be confused several times, but the core concept here is at least easy to understand. I'm a sucker for puzzle games, and I have a particular soft-spot for aesthetics like this, you I definitely think you deserve bonus points for that. π Nicely done, all around! |
| Oct 19 00:02:22 | 4m 02s | Outside The Loop | ♥ 1 | [Howdy, we played your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=03h10m22s) Sorry if we go off on a few tangents, we have a bad habit of that. π This was a nice simple game that I actually enjoyed quite a bit. I do think you could maybe better communicate the player's objective, but once I understood it I had no problems! I can see this game being expanded upon in multiple ways in the future, so it's great to hear you have plans to keep working on this. π Keep it up!! |
| Oct 19 00:07:44 | 5m 22s | Jerry.IsDead | ♥ 1 | [Howdy, we played your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/773934372?t=03h23m59s) Sorry if we go off on a bunch of tangents, we have a bad habit of doing that. π Unfortunately I don't think I was able to quite grasp this game. π Every time I thought I was making progress, it would seem like it stopped working on the next loop. I think if you guys dedicate a bit more time to teach the player the mechanics of your game, it could go a long way. I dig the aesthetic and the audio for sure though. I'd love to see this in a more completed form in the future! |
| Oct 25 08:51:03 | 152h 43m | Bust-a-Loop | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=00h16m24s) This is a suuuuuuper unique entry with a lot of style and room for expansion. Definitely makes my list as one of my favorites! I mention this in the VOD, but I'll reiterate it here: I think the game doles out new moves a liiiiiiiiittle too slowly. I'd have liked to have more variety to work with sooner, but that's a tough thing to anticipate for a game jam game, so I definitely don't hold minor things like that against y'all. Super awesome work here!! |
| Oct 25 08:54:15 | 3m 12s | LOOPLLET HELL | ♥ 0 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=00h40m29s) I'm a sucker for SHMUPS, and this one was no exception. I do kind of wish the game would give out power-ups a little more frequently. I'd have loved to try out all of the different guns, but they just never seemed to drop... :( Would love to see where you might take this in the future! |
| Oct 25 08:57:08 | 2m 53s | Lyza's Knot | ♥ 2 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=01h02m02s) So yeah, this entry was horrifying (in a great way). I do think that the puzzle mechanics kind of undermine the horror aspect once the levels get a little more complicated, but overall this is a very unique game with a lot to expand on. Absolutely bang-up job on this one! |
| Oct 25 09:03:50 | 6m 42s | YOUR TIME | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=01h15m47s) First piece of advice is to add screenshot of your game to your game page!! Your game looks great, and I think it would get a lot more attention if you showcased that here. π As for the game itself, the mechanics were a little confusing, but after a while I got it. I definitely appreciate the unique premise blended with a familiar genre/atmosphere. Nice job on this one! |
| Oct 25 09:07:02 | 3m 12s | Mind the Gap | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting your game to the stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=01h41m12s) π We actually had a lot of fun with this one. The characters were super charming, and the premise was oddball and entertaining. π Super nuts that you were able to do this whole thing by yourself, mad props to you! |
| Oct 25 09:10:54 | 3m 52s | Stuck In Orbit | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=01h57m18s) This was a neat little entry π I do think it got a little easy once I realized I could buy up all the turrets and shields, but I had fun with the premise of it, and I loved how out of control things got near the end! |
| Oct 25 09:14:59 | 4m 05s | Space Police Simulator Platinum | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=02h22m00s) Super sorry we had some technical difficulties during this. π I like the premise of this one, but unfortunately there were a couple of things I had difficulty with when trying to find the criminals... I love the personalities and unique looks of all these characters, though! This is a surprising amount of content to be put out by just one person, awesome job here! |
| Oct 25 09:20:15 | 5m 16s | Serious Ham | ♥ 3 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=02h49m02s) We actually had a lot of fun with this one! π The humor is excellent, and the we got a lot of mileage out of the combo system, for sure. xD |
| Oct 25 19:06:28 | 9h 46m | SpaceMan | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=02h58m27s) This one was pretty interesting. I like how the lack of a jump button made me think harder about my options, and the transition to a constantly looping level was buttery smooth, which made my engineer heart swell. β€οΈ Nice job!! |
| Oct 25 19:09:24 | 2m 56s | Chicxulub | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=03h15m45s) I actually liked this one a lot. π Making a SHMUP without the shooting was a super neat idea, and the art on display was charming as hell. π I appreciate how you handled the health in this game in order to ensure that players are more likely to see all of your content. Super important for a jam game! Awesome job here! |
| Oct 25 19:12:28 | 3m 04s | Just Again | ♥ 0 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=03h56m15s) I like the nice simple concept here. π And it's impressive how many ghosts you were able to keep on screen at once! I wish there was a little score counter that told me how many times I completed a loop. Would have been nice to have something that tracked my progress. Otherwise though, I enjoyed this one! |
| Oct 25 19:15:50 | 3m 22s | I Reboot | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=04h12m19s) Love the art and audio on display here. The premise is a little simple, but I had fun messin' around with everything. π Nice job! |

Super impressed with y'all's engineering skills here, and even if you didn't make the assets, I'd say you made excellent use of them. All-in-all this is truly an underrated gem! |
| Oct 25 19:22:04 | 2m 41s | LaserLoop | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting your game to the stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=05h03m31s) Apologies, I was exhausted at the time so my brain didn't work too gud...But I'm glad we were able to finish it! I like how much you were able to squeeze out of such a simple premise. π I think my favorite part was how everything connected in the end. That was a very neat touch! |
| Oct 25 19:26:41 | 4m 37s | Cotton Candy Dream | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=00h10m02s) I think you may find that we had a lot of fun with this one, but perhaps not for the reasons you intended. π Personally, we found the ability to accumulate speed and momentum to be a blast, while picking up all of the individual tokens hampered our wacky antics (especially when the tokens reset after you die). Hopefully our tomfoolery is useful to you, and congrats on your first jam!! |
| Oct 25 19:30:30 | 3m 49s | Hangin' Around | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=00h22m47s) I think it's no surprise that we had a lot of fun with this one. You really nailed that WarioWare aesthetic. Awesome job!! |

I love the simple premise of it, and I feel like a certain niche of high score chasers could really get a lot out of this game, well done! |
| Oct 25 22:03:24 | 3m 16s | Stuck in a Soup Loop | ♥ 3 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=00h44m05s) Sorry I wasn't talking to much while I was playing, I required intense focus. π I actually immensely enjoyed this entry. The premise was simple and easy to grasp, the difficulty curve felt just right, the artwork was super charming and cute, and the gameplay itself to my knowledge was almost completely bug free! This is a super impressive jam game, awesome job! |
| Oct 25 22:06:03 | 2m 39s | Grab Your Nutz | ♥ 2 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=01h01m17s) As we've probably already said already, we really had fun with this one. We do wish that the birds gave us a little more warning when they were about to attack, but we loved the way the chaotically careened across the screen a high velocities. Really adds to the hectic nature of everything as a whole. π |
| Oct 25 22:09:09 | 3m 06s | Cycle Breakdown | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=01h13m41s) This game was straight-up bananas. You packed an *impressive* amount of juice into it, which made the combat and movement feel suuuuper nice and responsive. I kiiiiiiiind of wish that dying didn't set me back to the previous room, and instead restarted the room that I died in, but that might just be a personal preference. Regardless, I'm super jealous of what you managed to pull off here in such a short amount of time! |
| Oct 25 22:11:26 | 2m 17s | Space Drummer | ♥ 2 | [Thank you for submitting this to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=01h32m50s) This game was just a straight-up delight. I love the mash-up between rhythm game and SHMUP, it's genuinely something I had never seen before. I would love to see this expanded to include new instruments and backing tracks. This game has a bunch of potential for the future! |
| Oct 25 22:14:43 | 3m 17s | I Can't Get Anything Done | ♥ 1 | [Thanks for submitting this to the stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=01h46m01s) I think we said pretty much everything we wanted to in the VOD, but just to reiterate: We like what you have going on here! We may worry that the audience that might play it in a jam setting might not necessarily be the people that vibe with it the most, but we always appreciate it when a creator takes risks and attempts to make something personal and unique. Mad respect for that! π |
| Oct 25 22:17:49 | 3m 06s | The Curse of Cattenburg | ♥ 4 | [Behold the hour-long epic that was our run](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=02h13m47s) Super glad I finally got to sink my teeth into this one! Don't think I have too much to say other than what we already covered in the VOD, but I'm super looking forward to your guys' improvements! I think taking out the random chance of the board game is an excellent idea, and I would love to see how that impacts the design of the rest of your features! |
| Oct 25 22:22:13 | 4m 24s | DodΓΆbius | ♥ 3 | [Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=03h36m24s) I think I pretty much covered all of the feedback I wanted to give in the VOD, but just a few recaps: - The audio doesn't seem to sync how I would expect it to. I got used to it, but it would be great if I didn't have to. - I wish I didn't get sent immediately to nighttime land every time I failed. I feel like I wanted a few more tries before I had to get sent back to the slower tempo. - The levels are a bit difficult and long, and I worry that that will scare away a lot of players before they see all that your game has to offer. Might be worth considering making a smaller, more focused game for next time. ALL OF THAT BEING SAID THOUGH, I think what you guys made here is super cool, and it's especially impressive as y'all's first jam entry. I feel like y'all will only get better the more you do this kind of stuff, and I wish y'all the best of luck!! |
| Oct 25 22:25:59 | 3m 46s | Just Another Day | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=00h12m01s) I dig the style of this game, the 2D characters with the 3D models blend surprisingly well! Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to figure out what the game wanted me to do past day 2 in the time we had allotted. π That's always a risk with puzzle games, for sure. But I'll maybe try to come back to this one to figure it out if I get the chance! |
| Oct 25 22:28:25 | 2m 26s | Imperial Eggnog Incorporated | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=00h27m24s) As a fan of Papers Please, I can definitely say you nailed the stressful rapid-fire analysis gameplay. I also like how I slowly warmed up to the 3-factor authorization system. First I thought it was unnecessarily convoluted, and then I learned how to min/max the time spent on it and it turned into another little fun thing I had to micromanage. Awesome job all-around on this one! |
| Oct 25 22:30:52 | 2m 27s | Looper - The Last Mission | ♥ 0 | [We played your game on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=01h01m12s) Dawg, it's crazy just how much content you were able to pack into this title in such a short amount of time all by yourself. Kudos to that, for sure! I do kinda wish the bullets didn't ricochet off of walls, but maybe that's just because I suck... |
| Oct 25 22:34:22 | 3m 30s | BagJam | ♥ 2 | [We played your game on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=01h08m37s) Most of our thoughts were captured in the VOD, but here's a few things I wanted to reiterate: - This game ramps up SUPER fast. I like all of the mechanics that are happening, but I wish I wasn't on such a strict time constraint - It seems like I'm unable to zoom in on the web version? It unfortunately makes the game very difficult to play, because I had a hard time seeing the "danger" stickers and the damaged luggage. As a whole though, I really enjoyed this one! It was a genuinely unique game, and I always appreciate seeing those in LD. π |
| Oct 25 22:36:41 | 2m 19s | What Goes Around | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=01h26m21s) I'll admit, the visuals did get me a little motion sick, but I liked the core idea here. I think if this game just had a little bit more time in the oven for balancing and design tweaks it could become something really neat. π |
| Oct 25 22:39:10 | 2m 29s | LoopIn | ♥ 3 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=01h36m44s) Our first piece of advice: Please please PLEASE put screenshots of your game on your game page! Y'all have a very cute game on your hands, and more people need to see it! π The game itself is also very fun! It's a super unique premise while at the same time being nice and simple to understand. I think y'all deserve more attention for this one. |
| Oct 25 22:42:00 | 2m 50s | Project R.O.O.M | ♥ 1 | [We played this on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=01h49m51s) I feel like this game was the perfect experience for a group of friends to play together. We spent waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too long debating some of these questions. Hope you enjoy our tomfoolery! |
| Oct 25 22:44:46 | 2m 46s | Hamster Simulator | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=02h26m36s) This is a fun little idle game that weirdly felt anything but as I was absolutely ABUSING my right key in order to get up to speed. π I kind of like that there's no fail state, makes it a much more chill experience. Nice job all-around! |
| Oct 25 22:47:45 | 2m 59s | opLo | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=02h39m58s) We kiiiiiiinda scold you a little bit about your game page at the beginning, but just know that it comes from a place of love. π β€οΈ We actually had fun with this one! You managed to cram a lot of different mechanics into a single game by yourself, which is nuts, well done! |
| Oct 25 22:51:19 | 3m 34s | The Facility | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=02h53m43s) Despite how little time you had to put this together, you were able to put out a surprising amount of content! The art, music, and story all come together to create a very unique mood. Well done! |
| Oct 25 22:53:56 | 2m 37s | Tunnels | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=03h01m07s) First piece of advice: Pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaase put screenshots of your game on your game page! In my opinion you have something very pretty looking here, and more people need to see it. π I liked the puzzle-like nature of this entry, and it's one of the few platformers I played where the controls felt legitimately responsive. Mad props to the effort that probably took! |
| Oct 25 22:56:30 | 2m 34s | LA FAILLE | ♥ 0 | [We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=03h12m47s) And um...uuuuuhhhh...I can't really put my finger on this one. I dig it a lot, but I have no idea what it did to my brain. Not just anyone can make a surreal experience like this, so you get some major bonus points for making something that felt genuinely original. |
| Oct 25 22:59:38 | 3m 08s | Witch Loop | ♥ 1 | [We played your game on stream over the weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=03h24m57s) At first I was a little put-off by the constantly looping witch character, but weirdly I started to get used to it by the end. :o I wish there was more of an indication of when I got hit, and how much health I had left, but overall I think this was a nice, cute, fun game to play. π Nice job! |
| Oct 25 23:02:09 | 2m 31s | Hide and Seek | ♥ 1 | [Your game was suggested for us to play on stream last night!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781046795?t=03h40m47s) Hoooooooo boooooiiiii did this game get to me. This is some top-notch horror right here. Super creepy atmosphere, and a complete lack of (obnoxious) jumpscares, absolutely my cuppa tea. I sincerely hope that "To Be Continued..." was genuine, I would love to see more of this. |
