Gas Giant Airship by Jcourt 2025-04-12T03:39:16Z

Nice concept! It's simple yet with great execution.

I just feel it's missing something. Maybe the missions should be in a rush to be delivered or something similar. As it is it feels like a mechanic showcase!

Also I can't really see the depth theme here. I understand you were planning it for a different category, Maybe it could have been sea currents and something under the sea?

Anyways, nice entry! πŸ˜‰

Drill Crew by lectvs 2025-04-11T13:38:19Z

This is extremely well done for a compo! Nice graphics, very polished gameplay. Very enjoyable.

If I had to leave some feedback: - I found a bit annoying having to leave the gems and coals on the floor, they just get in the way when you're trying to interact with other machines. Maybe a place to deposit them would've been great - I got attacked by monsters way to often, it's kinda annoying when you're trying to reach a hard to get gem, and they start attacking your drill, specially if you went a little too far down. - I'd haved loved for gems to have different values, so you'd have more reasons to go get it.

Anyways! I just loved this game, played for quite a while. We actually had a very similar idea, it's fun to see how different solutions make a game feel so different!

Splat by aviolin 2025-04-08T02:08:09Z

Hey nice one! Here's my feedback: - I like the relaxing music and profound messages, it gives the game some aesthetic - I'd love to have a litte more time to react, maybe by getting things a little farther. - Dashing resets the score. There's no difference between dashing and losing. Maybe it should just reduce some points from the score.

Moleman's Manhole Mayhem by sirblazealot 2025-04-11T04:15:53Z

Hey nice classic platformer! I like how you added some clever ways to use the power ups.

There's some things that need some tweaking! First of all, the noises. There are some very loud noises, specially the one where they hit you, it's very annoying! I mean, I like the sound, but it's very out of place in comparison with the others. I really like how everything sounded on the tutorial.

Second, the background, maybe the parallax was a little too fast, it made me kinda dizzy after a while.

Lastly, hitboxes. Maybe they should be a little bigger. Hitting things is a bit frustrating as it is. It's very easy to get hit back, and having to hit them on the back is very frustrating, because the enemies turn back to you, and they take many hits until killed. The cat is also very hard to hit from behind.

Hope you find the feedback useful! It was a fun entry!

A Mindful Descent by Srolfe657 2025-04-09T02:47:18Z

I like the inside out vibes! I think the idea is good, but I ended up finding it kinda repetitive.

It's so dark out in the woods, it's very easy to get desoriented.

I didn't really understand the usage of the memory balls, I got that the yellow one is to recharge your energy, and the blue one for the posts, but what are the red ones for? Are they just to hit the monster?

I liked the atmosphere, it feels like you are very deep in a forest, but I can't find the connection between the forest and the dreams the game is representing.

I would've liked having the monsters follow you from the darkness, getting on your nerves with some creepy noises. Red balls could have been used to fight the monsters! Maybe it was the idea you had in mind! Thanks for the entry! πŸ˜‰

Depths of Field by pRoFiT 2025-04-09T03:08:34Z

I liked the idea of depth of field but I just found it a little annoying after playing for a while.

Level design is a little weird, like you have to stop and wait for platforms to align.

Having the perspective change made me feel like I was going super fast! This could be great if it was more like a high speed platformer

Depths of Field by pRoFiT 2025-04-09T20:37:30Z

Gotcha! We all know how this is πŸ˜…

It's a really interesting idea tho! Maybe you can keep on working on it in the future πŸ˜‰

Deep Delve by P1x3lc0w 2025-04-08T23:34:38Z

Nice retro game! I liked it! I just found it really slow. Going after the further enemies, especially that level where there is only one enemy and you have to go through some platforms and spikes, it felt like a pain more than a challenge, due to the character's slow movement and slow music. I think it's a good formula tho, maybe for something like a roguelike, with more levels and different powerups! Anyways, great game!

Moose Diver by Maskrosen 2025-04-11T01:44:58Z

Hey! I like the idea! It's one of these really addictive games where you can play for hours straight!

I have some feedback tho. - I didn't like the vacuum, it should feel nice to vacuum the coins, but then you move a little bit and the coins return to the original place. It made it really frustrating for me. - Progression feels a little sloe. You have to return to the island very often. I wish I could get deeper a little faster, and have a heavier progression as you go farther. - The coins and vacuum sound can be a little annoying after a while, it's missing some variable pitchs and volumes

Other than that, I really found it funny that it is a moose on an island gathering coins underwater

Low Maintenance by Juutis 2025-04-12T04:35:25Z

Very nice classic doom-wolfenstein-like game! Great execution! Love how you show the statistics after each level. Player movement feels so polished

It's hard to find things to do better, being such a "retro" game. There's some stuff that can be fixed anyways. - It's very easy to get lost on big maps, specially when you're looking for those tricky secrets. Maybe some visual cues or something recognizable to understand where you are at. Maybe a minimap would be great! - Sounds, it's missing some pitching, specially when using the machinegun

Nice entry guys. Hope you can keep working on it, there's a lot of potential for a full game release. πŸ˜‰

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-08T11:32:24Z

Hey @aurelius thanks for playing the game! We wanted it to have a sonar feature that would tell you where the resources would be, but we couldn't manage to get it properly working. You can just set the drill to stop (even if it sounds contradictory) and it will automatically stop on the next resources stop! Just get down the ship, get the resource, and take it to the corresponding machine to play a minigame! This is all we managed to produce before the submission time πŸ˜… You can go down to 2000 mts to get the ending I suggest playing on itch.io, or play it on fullscreen, since the resolution here in Ludum's site ends up cutting the gauges of fuel and temperature on the top. πŸ˜…

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-08T12:24:31Z

@aurelius Yeah! That's right! Just set the drill to stop, and open the side doors to get resources here and there πŸ˜‰

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-08T15:38:19Z

@jackshadow thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to wrap everything up like we would have wanted to. We added the section "What to do" on this page's description so you can understand the gameplay.

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-10T03:55:14Z

@nordus @maskrosen @matthewdrake @dywanix @aleksey4adoff @ice-in-nortern @laurynas @vladimperator @chrisbeck @nicknickolas @jcourt @ohjuliego @fredrik-andersson @owinmowe @pro4 @smalltalkinc @sirblazealot @darwinigan @aynu @timelost Thank you all for playing our game! I know it's a bit confusing, that's why we added the description. I wish we had more time to build everything we wanted to add to the game. The sonar wasn't really functional at all, and the gameplay is a bit confusing! We also forgot to add collision to some walls πŸ˜…

To play you just need set the drill to stop, and it will stop on some pathways where you can grab resources. Each resource must be taken to their corresponding storage, with a little point & click minigame. Once you reach 2000 mts deep, you can see a very cool ending!

We wanted to add so much more, yet we didn't have enough time! We had tome ideas, like upgrading the drill, having an oxygen gauge, harder ways to get resources, more minigames, etc. But well, this is what we got, we were working until the last minute before the submission time!

Thank you all again! I hope somebody can reach the end! πŸ˜‰

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-11T00:54:46Z

@pretendcoding there's a fuel and temperature gauges on the top! I recommend playing on fullscreen or in itch.io. The idea is to set the drill on stop and wait for it to stop, so you can get out, gather resources, and bring them back to the drill!

@duke-ua thanks for your feedback! As I said before, the idea is to put the drill on "Stop" and wait for it to stop automatically. We had to take some shortcuts for that functionallity, that's why we implemented it like a "bus stop", once it reaches a checkpoint it will stop, and allow you to go outside. There's not much to do, other than gather a simple resource tho, we wanted to do something a little bit more challenging on those paths, but didn't get quite there πŸ˜…

@glaupe-cabral thanks for playing! And thanks for your comment! We have some ideas on how to fix most of the flaws we got from the comments, not sure if we're gonna be implementing them soon tho. πŸ˜…

Thank you all!

STOCK DEPTH by shp 2025-04-09T01:47:50Z

I lost all my moneys! Just for some feedback, the music got a little annoying after a while πŸ˜…

Midnight Amplifier by hernandack 2025-04-09T02:22:09Z

I like the effect, but it made me really dizzy, I couldn't play for too long... I managed to get the master key but I was already too dizzy to keep playing.

Also what is up with that audio cue? The first time it really scared me because its really loud. After that, it just got kinda annoying. I get it's an audio cue, but what is it's purpose?

It would be great if you could find some pills or anything to reduce the madness effect. I liked the atmosphere, the music fits nicely with the aesthetic

DeepMine by Nazgulx 2025-04-09T03:19:40Z

Not really sure how the collapse mechanic works, so there was not much planning to do πŸ€” I just went and mined every resource block, and the top of the mountain was still there.

I happened to mine a full row and then I saw how the collapsing goes. But maybe it's missing a lose condition. Perhaps having a "height marker" and if your mountain gets smaller than that, then you lose? Maybe that was the idea all along, but we all know how time constraints can affect our games! πŸ˜…

I would've loved to mine many blocks by holding the mouse click, that would make it more easy for things to collapse as well.

Abyssmall by VladImperator 2025-04-11T03:18:33Z

First of all, Love the water effect! The execution is great on this one, feels pretty solid. I love the character design, it's very simple, yet it looks great with the little swim animation.

I just think it needs some tweakings. Prices rise extremely fast, there's a lot of pearls on the map, and their value is worthless. The early paths are very small, moving through them is annoying because you get stuck pretty easily, specially when you're on a rush. It can be quite annoying having to go back up every 10 seconds, specially when you're just starting. Finding my way down to the bottom was also very frustrating, because there are a lot of dead ends, and everytime you find a dead end, it's almost time to go back up, so it's really hard finding the way having to go back up everytime.

Anyways! Managed to complete it, after passing the first half I just went for it, I ignored every collectible below 50mts and luckily got on the right path. This is a very good entry!

Squirrel swirl by rucksack 2025-04-09T00:31:06Z

Nice game! I really like the "exploring the forest experience" by building the path. Not sure if the squirrels running around do anything at all, but it feels great watching them grow in numbers. Also the music fits nicely to the game's aesthetic. Maybe some little squirrel noises every now and then would have been great!

I really liked it! Played it for a while, until I lost. I think it's endless, right? Good job!

Drill Down, Dog! by Mavvy 2025-04-09T21:05:55Z

The music goes really well with the gameplay! I just wish there was a little more of a challenge, you can almost just go down and forget about the obstacles, just avoid some enemies here and there, and keep going down.

There's ton of potential for more: - the shop implementation - upgrades - more options to recover health - Enemies with different mechanics, like an enemy you have to shoot to kill, or an armored enemy you have to hit from behind - harder blocks that you have to hit more time - I'd be really cool if you have a defective machine that dashes randomly every now and then

Hope you keep at it! πŸ˜‰

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-12T02:45:51Z

Oh my... I spent soooo much time trying to get the answers! I love the idea! And the puzzles are very original. I just think there were some clues missing. It was really hard.

At first I got stuck on the restaurant password. There were so many options, because there are so many password files, I was testing every option on every file! I wish the progression was a little more step-by-step. Like having access only to the password files I need to complete on that step.

*******SPOILER ALERT FOR THE DELETED DOWN BELOW******** The second one that got me in trouble was the DELETED password. I understood what I had to do, but there were many options for every word, like I thought the animal was a Wolf, not a dog (I even thought it could be the dog's name Luna), Heart could also be love, red. Specially given that I was writing them with spaces between πŸ˜“. *******SPOILER OVER********

Last but not least, the last password, for HIM(1). I went through every file! I thought my name was anywhere, that there was some clue missing, I view every video again, I was there extremely stuck! Then I thought it could be Eleanor, Eleanor M., with the dot, without the dot, with space, without the space, was her lastname somewhere? is it part of the password? I EVEN STARTED COUNTING THE LETTER U ON THE PROS FILE (I got HIM from that same file, so I thought there was something related). When I realized what the password was I felt really stupid. I wish it was a little different. Maybe ask for my name at the start of the game and then have it be the final password. Or perhaps having a menu where you can see the username and have it be it!

Apart from that, I felt the text for the file names where a bit too small, It got my sight kinda tired, perhaps I'm a little too old πŸ˜… Also would have loved to be able to keep files open! And decide to close the ones I had already checked!

Anyways, this game is great! It's simple, yet very well executed! The puzzles are very original! Loved the art, loved the story! The last revelation was great! I just felt the last animation felt a little short. Perhaps having the guys with animal masks behind, or her with the mask would have made a better ending!

Great entry guys! I hope you find the feedback useful! There's lot of potential for a longer release as well.

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-12T02:53:40Z

A little something else, I really didn't find the depth theme on the "depths of your loving girlfriend’s computer". You literally go as deep as a single folder. Perhaps it could be a deep mystery? But still...

Maybe unlocking folder with the passwords and getting deeper and deeper everytime would have been better, and also would have helped with the progression issue I mentioned earlier πŸ˜‰

Escape the Depths by Jhonny111 2025-04-12T03:57:36Z

I lost on the room with the little mages and worms πŸ˜₯

I liked the game, I just feel like there's an issue with how progression feels. I felt like resources are very scarce, so you have to explore every point of interest to get the upgrades. Once you get them it feels great breaking walls easily, but just when you are breaking walls with one hit, you go back to having to hit them 3 times until you upgrade again with a new currency. It's more like "restarting" rather than "progression".

Also, there's much empty space. When you don't have any dark spots on the map, you can just keep going and going, without really knowing if there's something there. It can be very frustrating!

The player movement is very fast, yet the pickaxe animation is so slow. I think that it the animations were a little faster it would make the game much more enjoyable.

Anyways, nice entry! 😁

Burrilka by echerry 2025-04-11T01:16:36Z

Man! This game is stressfull! I love it!

It think it's very well balanced, and the minigames can be very demanding, keeping you on edge!

The only thing that I can give as feedback is that you can win the game just by spinning the lever. But I played it as expected, it was really fun!

Echoes in the Deep by midamida 2025-04-08T03:04:30Z

Windows link not working :(

Cave Hunter by GeoBlackrU 2025-04-12T04:09:35Z

It feels a bit slow. Player movement, jumps, and even shots go in slow motion. Also I feel the brown background with the brown platform are quite confusing.

I went deep to the left, getting every gem on the path, but then I had to return, with nothing of interest on the path. Maybe it would have been better if instead of waves of enemies every 90 seconds, there were some wild enemies on the map. For some reason when I was returning back to the platform the player started moving slower and I couldn't reach a jump I needed to make to return, so I just lost, got back to the platform, but couldn't activate it, and it got destroyed by monsters πŸ˜…

I don't wanna sound too harsh, I know how time constrains affect our games! So keep at it! πŸ˜‰

Infinite Depths at Hilberts Hotel by Fredrik Andersson 2025-04-12T03:20:29Z

Love the concept of infinity! It's very difficult actually! I managed to reach the level with the boxes.

I wish there was an undo button other than retry, it's pretty easy to just miss one step and having to do everything once again. Also when I started the game, my first move was down, and I lost, even before I started playing πŸ˜…

Great puzzle game! Not sure about the depth theme really. Is it Depth in a sense of going really far to infinity? Not really sure πŸ€”

The Retreat by Matt Ravenhall 2025-04-08T22:52:37Z

Hey man I gotta give it to you! My heart skipped a beat when the "Something is coming" text appeared on the screen. It got me on my nerves waiting for the loud jumpscare to appear. Loved the hidden ghosties, and it made me play the game again just to find the last one! πŸ˜…

I really liked it! It's a short escape the room experience. I just find it a little hard to put my finger on the depth theme. I suppose it's the depths of the woods, but you're inside a cabin tho.

Anyways, I really liked the game! Keep at it! πŸ˜‰

The Abyssal Trenches by redemptor 2025-04-09T04:12:39Z

Couldn't get past the first level πŸ˜…

I like it tho. I just wish there was some way to make the light bigger or some kind of guide. I got myself wandering around aimlessly trying to find the last diamond until the big bad fish got me.

Also, the enemy is a little janky, sometimes it gets stuck in little paths, not letting me go through

Screenshot 2025-04-09 011226.jpg

If you were to add some water ambience and sounds, it would get much better! πŸ˜‰

The Altermind Project by MatthewDrake 2025-04-09T03:33:19Z

Nice contemplation game! Having you question yourself about some simple questions we don't ask ourselves often, and the fear of AI replacing us.

I didn't really understand the design of things, but I liked the art. Some animations are a bit slow tho, like getting close to the fire.

This is not my kind of games, so I just answered silly stuff, and ended up with a very funny ending

Screenshot 2025-04-09 003231.jpg

It's like looking in a mirror 🀣

Lock Smith by Flying Butter Studio 2025-04-09T21:53:50Z

Hey! Nice short game!

It was really hard for me to understand the shapes on the lock since they are sooo small. There's little to no difference between the circle and the square. This made it really difficult for me to understand some puzzles. Ended up completing it after a while anyways.

Just one question, is the level with the timer imposible to complete? I couldn't find the clue for the locks. It's the only thing stopping me.

Regarding the theme of the jam, I guess this is some kind of "depth of the mind" kind of game, so I think it's ok

Lock Smith by Flying Butter Studio 2025-04-10T12:19:55Z

@flying-butter-studio I know there was a big time constrain, but! I would have loved if you could get the missing code for the locks after you see it on the burnt door. I actually played it again to try this approach but it was too late when I realized the amount of locks was different πŸ˜… Potential for multiple endings there πŸ˜‰

Descent Protocol by DuKe.ua 2025-04-11T01:29:52Z

Hey! We're like game-name brothers! I like the game, it's a classic platformer!

I just found it a little floaty, but challenging anyways.

The only feedback I can give you is that the falling damage is way too frustrating, specially while beign so floaty.

Anyways, great entry! πŸ˜‰

Sinking Hope by NuiN 2025-04-08T22:35:01Z

Scary BIG boy! OMG! I played both versions, the one from the jam and the one from the fixes. At first I wasn't sure what to do, I just swam aimlessly until big boy come get me. I thought it was missing a lot of stuff. But then I played the post jam version and oh boy! This is such a nice experience. Swimming feels good, killing those damned fishes feels great. And in the end, after fixing the submarine and getting revenge on the big boy! Man, that felt awesome! Loved this version! Thanks for sharing it! My rating goes for the jam version tho, but I really loved what you created!

Dancing in the Depths by nrankin13 2025-04-09T01:24:08Z

Just let wolfie bro dance dude! He's just chillin'!

Nice short game for some lols. Although I'm not sure how it fits with the depth theme. Is it the depths of the jungle? Is it a cave (there's rock on the sky)? Are we on a beach? We'll never really know! Nice entry tho!

Nowhere to Dive by Anifan gelati 2025-04-09T01:58:50Z

Ok, it took me a while to undestand what I was doing.

I think it's a simple card game, where you receive attacks, and you defend with your cards. Each color you fail to defend against, reduces your "life" of that color, (you have a life gauge for each color). After each round you can choose to recover a color "life" or get a new card

The thing I don't understand is that your cards never change, so you reach a point where you have so many cards that you can defend against every attack. Also I don't see how this is tied to the depth theme, other than having a radar with a depth counter πŸ€” Unfortunately I couldn't reach an ending, the game bugged when I moved a card out of the defending zones, and I couldn't keep playing.

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-12T01:17:03Z

They look really cute! Played for quite a while! There was so much gold on screen! Very enjoyable for an idle game!

I just wish there were some sounds! The music is nice and relaxing, but at least I would have wanted some feedback when button pressing!

Other than that, it's a great entry!

Forge Rush by Laurynas 2025-04-11T02:43:32Z

Ok so this is some kind of overcooked on a medieval setting, and instead of food you're delivering weapons and armor.

I liked the game, but it was kinda hard to understand what I had to do. First of all I had some troubles starting the tutorial, because I thought player 1 was the one on the left, and it just left me on a white screen, I think I started with player 2 and no player 1.

After I learned the basics I jumped into the first level. I finally understood how to play, it was kinda hard but managed to complete it! The thing I found frustrating is that there are so many places where you can put items, it can get a little confusing, you have so many little windows everywhere. The other thing I didn't enjoy is the placement of things, in most of these games where you can build a base, you usually put things together so you don't have to travel so much to do simple tasks. The timers for each request are very short, which make the game very unnerving, you're always in a rush. Maybe it should be a little more relaxing on the first levels and have little progression until it gets harder on higher levels!

Anyways, I know how things go, specially with such short times for development! Good game tho! Lots of potential for making it way better!

Steel Coffin by ChrisBeck 2025-04-11T03:50:46Z

Great idea. I had some troubles understanding how to move the submarine, had to go to the description a couple of times until I understood that it was just the arrows and not the wasd. Had to play the tutorial twice to actually get the hang of it. I think it was a little long and it overcomplicated things. Got my submarine sunken once, didn't really understand how, but then I understood that once they got you, they got you.

I think the formula is nice, just needs some little tweakings here and there. I had 3 dudes still on the movement related chambers, and used the other 2 to repair everything once in a while (the one in the timers room and the one in the radar room, that help others go faster). Also I kept the submarine on the deepest part, and just decreased speed to 0 when the ping timer was near over. Maybe some mechanic that makes you go back up would have added to the experience. Also I didn't understand what the healing was for, I never got injured.* Some little bugs here and there. For example, if you remove the guy on the chamber that lets you sink, the sub will go up, and the background fishes will go up to the sky πŸ˜…

Overall I think it was good. Getting to the end was satisfying. It makes you feel like you really are inside a sub! Screenshot 2025-04-11 005035.jpg

A Sinking Feeling by mortusnegati 2025-04-08T16:27:59Z

Wow the ambience is great! It really takes you to the depths of the ocean. But I cannot see how the duck clicking gameplay is tied with the theme! πŸ˜… It'd have been great if you had to do something input related to keep the submarine alive, other than just clicking ducks πŸ˜… Other than that I think it looks and sounds great!

DEEP PIT (you fell) by aniretti 2025-04-09T01:43:11Z

Talk about a rage game! Physics are kinda glitchy, it's very frustrating when your stack falls down I like the idea tho!

Should have taken a screenshot of my bare victory 😩

Timmy Dives by Timo5034 2025-04-09T12:29:10Z

Getting all those lasers made it worth killing all those innocent little fishes

Nicely done! I really like the antenna movement of the submarine!

Ciggy by kenevil1 2025-04-08T01:52:30Z

I like the idea! It took me a while to understand how to proceed. Most of these kind of games are about surviving until you're the last one standing, but here you complete the level when you fall down the last platform, but also you have to survive on the platforms and kill as many monsters as you can. Overall I liked it! Some little feedback: - You can easily complete the level just by walking to the edges - I'd love to have some extra visual feedback on the platforms, maybe tint them red when they're about to break, or have them shake a little bit!

Endless Depth by Dywanix 2025-04-09T04:05:27Z

Ok, so I liked the game, it's simple, yet effective. I just think it needs a little tweaking here and there.

It happened to me a couple of times that I was pressing the move button faster than the diver movements, and made me missclick moving to the side and ending up losing in a silly yet frustrating way. Just because the diver didn't move on my last button press. It's hard to explain.

I just wished the diver movement didn't have that delay, since you are in a rush, it can be a little frustrating.

GOLD HUNGER by Mibi88 2025-04-12T15:35:32Z

It took me a while but finally got the hang of it.

Too bad there's some kind of leak, because every time I reset FPS keep getting lower and lower. Some sounds and music would have been great as well.

Nice entry anyways! πŸ˜‰

Depth Protocol by Bimpyton 2025-04-08T02:18:53Z

I really wanted to give this a try, because it looks really good. Unfortunately it's very hard to play, the player movement gets laggy when your are not looking to the center room, and the farther away you go, the harder it lags. It gets really difficult on a game where you have to look for clues. I managed to open the safe, but didn't know where to go after that :( Great intro tho!

The Magical Abyss by AxolotlUwU 2025-04-09T03:58:24Z

It's a nice entry! I like the art. Perhaps some animations are a little janky!

The gameplay feels nice, I just think that magic depletes very fast, and it's very annoying trying to hit the enemies with the melee hit, since there's no aiming to the hit.

The music also gets a little annoying after listening to it on loop for more than 4 times. Monsters could use some sounds as well

A Call from the Void by Oinkle 2025-04-08T02:49:46Z

I like the idea, and the atmosphere is kinda relaxing, but even tho I tried with different codes, I couldn't get to decypher even one :( It could be because english is not my main language, but I couldn't get the codes to form any coherent word with the cyphers on the book

It'd be great to have some clue, of what cipher to use, or what amount of characters to shift the alphabet. Cool idea and nice execution!

Deep concussion by xoudz 2025-04-09T03:00:37Z

Hey man! I liked your game! It took me a while to understand where I was standing, but I managed to find the 3 items and notes, not sure if I'm missing anything else, but I don't know how to escape the cave πŸ˜…

The intro looks awesome, the graphics are very nice! I just feel it's very silent once you start the gameplay. Some heavy cave atmosphere would have felt great, some dripping, and rocks falling here and there.

Great entry!

Ruby Hole by Aleksey4adoff 2025-04-11T02:01:12Z

Love the art! The game is nice, It took me a while to understood the mushroom caves, but I get the idea behind it! The music makes it a sit-back-and-relax kind of game.

What made it a little frustrating for me was not beign able to build paths farther ahead. I get that the dwarves are digging the path inside the path, so it wouldn't make sense to dig further ahead, but still. Maybe what made it frustrating is not beign able to get the part you really need, so you have to discard many pieces until you get it. Maybe it would have been nice if I had some kind of pieces storage where I could keep an important part to use later.

Anyways I actually enjoyed it, and that ending looks really cool!

Depth of your Thoughts by mauzart 2025-04-08T03:48:07Z

It would've been nice to get it translated to English, even with google translate. I think I really like this kind of comtemplative games, but I didn't understand what it said πŸ˜… So I was there, falling, unable to move, unable to read, for a couple of minutes until the game ended.

I loved the atmosphere tho! I just really would've loved to understand what it said!

Other that that, it felt great while there were particles in the air, but after a while they disappeared. Maybe slowly darkening the background would've been a great touch.

It was very good for a first 3D game! πŸ’ͺ😁

Deep Truth by Emily C 2025-04-09T02:05:41Z

What the heck did I just play? Haha! I feel like I should keep away from pot and beer after this πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

It was a little difficult for me to, I don't know how to say it properly in english, hard to find where to stand to not get hit or to get the pick ups. It's a good thing the hit boxes are kinda forgiving!

Nice game! Very original! I really like the madness coming from the background!

Down the Rabbit Hole by Mirinae 2025-04-12T00:55:09Z

Nice Undertale inspired game! On point with the jam, beign deep in thoughts, overthinking way too much. Love the art! It's great! Also it's quite challenging!

I just missed those sounds, it would have been great to have some damage feedback at least! Also the music, it made me sleepy. I wished I had some more action in the music, I mean, I'm stressing out right here evading a lot of projectiles! πŸ˜…

I think I reached the ending, right? It just stayed like this after the 3rd battle with the cat and some dialog Screenshot 2025-04-11 215341.jpg

DEEP INTO THE ROOTS by TomasTanhgor 2025-04-12T04:43:02Z

I like the idea. There's room for much more! I just think it's missing some decision making, or some obstacle that blocks your paths, so you have a little challenge.

I just missed some noises, digging, grabbing items.

Anyways nice entry guys! πŸ˜‰

Almost had a stroke when I reached the chest

Froggy Towers by LordSheo 2025-04-08T03:02:37Z

Such a relaxing song for a bullet hell! πŸ˜… I like the idea, but it still requires some tweaking around, the powerups are just some towers that spawn randomly on the map, i'd have rather had some power ups that affect the character's shot. Love the froggis tho!

Dynamite by TimeLost 2025-04-11T04:02:19Z

I like the idea! It fits great with the depths theme! I liked that you used a different source of light other than a flashlight.

I just had some hard time with the controls. Movement is way too fast. At first I didn't understand what was killing me, or what the blue hearts were. Maybe some auditive or visual feedback would have been great, like a pain scream when you fall to deep. The music didn't make the cut for me, it got a little annoying after the 3rd or 4th loop.

It is kinda hard to decide where to fall when you can't see the bottom, I know you have to find the way with the dynamites light, but the dynamites damage you, so it's kind of frustrating not beign able to drop down to the light source knowing it will damage you. Also, the dynamites take too long to explode, beign the main interaction the player has, it's a little annoying having to wait for them to explode!

Hope you find the feedback useful! πŸ˜‰ Nice entry!

Shrimply Fishing by ACarr 2025-04-09T20:52:53Z

Nice one! I really dig the art of this game! It was kinda hard for me to get the deepest fishes, I know there may be some ideas that didn't reach production, so it's ok!

I really enjoyed finding new fishes deep down below, I wanted to get them all, but it was kinda hard. Maybe something to heal up the reel, or maybe recover health while you're not reeling in.

Also there's a lot of potential for new features: - Visual indicators for range and strength - Upgrades: reel life, strength, distance, etc. - Monstruary - Usage of different hooks to catch different fishes The list goes on and on! πŸ˜‰

Adam, Rejected by MashedPotato 2025-04-11T04:28:13Z

Nice voice acting! I really liked the presentation on this one! The music sets up the mood really nicely!

Although there's some things here and there I didn't like. Having the voice over stop me every minute was quite annoying. It would have been much better if I could keep playing while the voice was playing.

Also there's room for improvement on the character's movement. It's pretty frustrating suddenly falling down and having to get back up, specially for a "story-driven" game like this!

Anyways, nice entry! I really enjoyed it! Forgot to take a screenshot, but I reached the ending! πŸ˜‰

Deepnaut by Patrykgazing 2025-04-08T17:27:25Z

This game looks great! I really like the ambiance, it makes you feel you are really deep down the sea. Also the little critter noises are great! The creatures design looks really good as well

I just found a little weird that the submarine does this duck sound when it crashes, I think it takes away part of the immersion.

Other than that, I wish the minimap powerup was a little cheaper! It was a game changer after getting it, but it took many "blind" attemps to get it. Also some kind of "brake" or reverse speed would've been great!

Anyways, great game! Very complete and theme related.

harvest the valley :) by chloew 2025-04-08T03:31:43Z

I thought I was getting into some Harvest Moon/Stardew valley kind of game, but it got dark really fast! Great execution, couldn't get the third ending tho...

***** SPOILER ALERT *****

I thought the endings are: - Reaching final day with more than 1K gold - Reaching final day with less than 1K gold - Digging up grandpa. But this one got me the other two endings, depending on which condition was met. - Maybe I should have kept the eye, instead of throwing it into the lake πŸ€”

Not sure tho! But I really enjoyed it anyways!

You Know the Drill! by ludokai 2025-04-09T21:29:14Z

I gotta admit this was one of my favourite games so far. It's very simple, yet everything it's greatly executed. Drilling ores feels great with those particles, buying upgrades also feels great! The drill is just rotating basic shapes, yet it looks really cool. I love how it records your paths so you know where you have already drilled and where there might be something more. The chill music makes it really relaxing.

The only thing I missed is some sounds. Some really soft diggin-on-soft-earth ambiance. Some drilling sound when you are drilling the ores, and some "ding" sound when you bounce off the gold when you're still missing the upgrades. Maybe a bit of change of the background depending on the depth you are on.

Also I would've loved if instead of reaching down to win, you were to collect materials to build a ship or something similar.

Anyways, great entry! I really enjoyed playing it πŸ˜‰

Deep We Go by NickNickolas 2025-04-09T03:47:19Z

I think this game is missing some more tactical gameplay. There's so much waiting until you can drop new troops. I would've like to be able to decide were my troops are moving, where to deploy them, decide when to retreat, group up and merge troops. Also I'm having a hard time trying to match it to the depth theme πŸ˜…

Anyways great entry! Didn't find any bugs whatsoever. Has many levels!

Tumtrix by ohjuliego 2025-04-12T03:30:17Z

Is this a Deep Throat reference on the theme? 😳

I liked the idea. I just missed sound and music πŸ˜₯ My mind was constantly like "Barry OMG plz stop eating"

I wish there was some visual feedback to realize that food is chained (I hope I understood the rules correctly) having foods of the same type together makes them get digested faster, right?

Not much more to say, dragging stuff around feels good, it gets a little hard when there's too much food on screen!

Great entry! I hope there's a sequel to this, we all know how it continues right? 🚽

CoreBreaker by Grimwitch 2025-04-12T16:07:43Z

So I was about to stop playing after a couple of minutes, but then I saw the upgrade system! This should be one of the main characteristics of the game! It shouldn't be so hidden! There's So much stuff to upgrade that made me want to see what more has this game to offer.

The game is ok! Is one of those dig-some-minerals-and-get-them-back games. I found it very fun to use the jetpack, the drill goes soooo fast! But then you added some collision damage, which ended up taking the fun away. But then you also added movement speed upgrades which just bring even more chaos.

There's some issues with the movement, specially when you have very deep holes, you start randomly hitting some walls when you are just going straight up or down, which damages you. Also losing ALL the cargo when you lose all your life or your fuel is just so punishing, specially when you are deeper down.

I didn't really dig in the music, I wish it was something more chill and relaxing, as for most of these kind of games. Also sound are really generic after a while, some pitching would have been nice.

Nice entry anyways! πŸ˜‰
