BeltCo Mining Inc. by smilewood 2025-04-09T05:52:56Z

Love this type of game, like many others I really really wish that there were more gem asteroids. It took me 4 days to get even the first upgrade, however I understand how difficult economy balancing is. Overall its a fun little game, great job getting it done in the short time the jam permits.

Always love a good bullet hell, difficulty challenging but never unfair. I really like the lighting on the asteroids and the wall of asteroids on the 3rd stage was a clever way to increase difficulty. I'm not sure if its not my local problem but I couldn't get audio working unfortunately.

Very fun little game! Took me a couple of attempts to figure it out but its nice little gameplay loop once you get it down.

Unfortunate Mishaps of Subsurface Uranium Mining by pierogo 2025-04-09T05:34:52Z

Love that there is a highscore, didn't expect that at all. The whole drill moving around you as you turn or shaking when you take damage was a lovely touch. Just none-stop chaos trying to manage the different systems. Great work!

Wow, this is very very impressive. Love the design and overall concept of lighting the path. Incredible art work as well.

Project Planetfall: The Exodus Directive by rainbeau 2025-04-09T05:26:53Z

Wow so I want to start with the big positives first, the game is gorgeous. Each and every station has a unique interaction and control scheme really making you feel as if you're in control of a massive mining rig. The sound effects are solid and help alert you to how things are progressing on the ship. I also particularly enjoyed the mining system, it felt super intuitive for me.

I think you might have taken on a little bit too much for a game jam however, despite everything on its own being very solid it feels a bit disconnected from each other and actually managing the drill is very overwhelming at first. The numbers surrounding the screen just feels like way too much at first and I wish it was presented in a way that helped guide the player into systems as they mattered. However I realize tutorialization is one of the absolute last things you do when under a time crunch, and even without the crunch a rather difficult thing to get right.

I would absolutely love to see this game polished further, I think there is a lot of potential here.

You should all be very proud of what you made!

Unfortunately I've ran into the same issue as the other commenter, I can't run it :(

What a great little game, great use of the limited colour palette to portray what is dangerous.

@googlefrog I'm glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate the feedback and fully agree with everything you said, I was so used to the controls by the end that I never noticed how unforgiving the damage hitbox was and didn't get to get anyone to play test until after. Always something to learn!

@monogatari Woah! I can't believe you put yourself through that even with the bugged drill upgrade. Thanks a ton for playing I'm glad you liked it :D

Hey @jamesgames1000 congrats on breaking it ;) Its always a fun time finding bugs in game jam games. I've actually started to work on more developed version of this game since people seemed to have enjoyed it. I'll be uploading it to my itch.io page eventually so you can follow me there if you'd like to get updates https://grimwitch.itch.io/

Thanks for the feedback @broco! I'll admit the collision damage ended up far, far more punishing than I intended, combined with a hit box issue the game had definitely made for a frustrating experience.

First congrats on finishing your first game, thats huge! It's a very fun cute little game. The angler fish caught me by surprise after dodging mermaids for a bit. It has its bugs but so does every game made in a jam. I had a lot of fun keep it up!
