| Apr 23 17:49:00 | Mini-Worlds and Monocles | It was a lot of fun. Loved the feel, sound effects and art style.I'm thinking voice effects is a must for my next game now! :) | |
| Apr 23 18:00:00 | 11m 00s | Twice Upon A Time | You should definitely go ahead and finish it! It's a cool idea! |
| Apr 23 18:06:00 | 6m 00s | Tiny Rhythm | It seems pretty cool, but I wasn't sure what to do. How do you play this game? I know you said it's unfinished, but I'm wondering how much of it can be played. |
| Apr 23 23:55:00 | 5h 49m | Conquest: Herb Garden | Pretty cool, I love the way the gun shoots, kinda reminds me of the feeling of playing Cave Story. |
| Apr 24 00:32:00 | 37m 00s | Lost Oxide | Plays really well! If you wanna work on this later, just add some more animation frames and add to the audio. |
| Apr 24 00:45:00 | 13m 00s | Predicament | Great stuff! |
| Apr 24 01:12:00 | 27m 00s | Space Dozer | Fantastic job, I absolutely love it. Zero complaints, zero recommendations. |
| Apr 24 01:26:00 | 14m 00s | Kamikaze Planet | So cool! The feel reminds me a lot of Ziggurat on iOS, though the gameplay is completely different. |
| Apr 24 03:04:00 | 1h 38m | Cat Planet | That was a lot of fun! |
| Apr 24 03:09:00 | 5m 00s | Fill that jar! now put some crumbs in it! | I think the name of the game should be Fill Those Jars. :) |
| Apr 24 03:21:00 | 12m 00s | A Tenthlings Quest | Hahaha, I didn't read before I clicked, so I was hacking away at that heart for a good five minutes or more. <br/> <br/>I actually really enjoyed it, the opening was really stunning and I really wanted to see more of the game. Please finish it sometime. |
| Apr 24 03:24:00 | 3m 00s | Last World | I couldn't run the java version on my Mac, I don't know why. :( |
| Apr 24 03:30:00 | 6m 00s | Tiny Worlds | Great job, especially with the mechanics. It plays just right, and when you succeed, you feel you deserved it. Well done! |
| Apr 24 20:37:00 | 17h 07m | Intertubes | Good game. It would be nice if the stages would change after a while, I think. |
| Apr 24 20:41:00 | 4m 00s | Epic Scale Warfare | That was a lot of fun. |
| Apr 24 20:54:00 | 13m 00s | Tiny World | I really liked it. Choose your adventure vibe, but with rockpaperscissos-based battles. Surprisingly deep and interesting throughout. I liked how instead of just saying that the person became stronger or with more health, you integrated the reason why into the story each time you beat an enemy or find an item. <br/> <br/>My suggestion if you want to keep building is to try and reduce the long reading passages where there are no choices. That's all I can think of for now. <br/> <br/>I definitely saved it to play again later after the Ludum Dare craze. Congrats! |
| Apr 24 20:58:00 | 4m 00s | The Tower of the Four Winds | It was fun, keep making more. Next time try to spend as much as possible on the controls/gravity. Someone mentioned existing libraries that you could use/tweak, etc. |
| Apr 24 21:07:00 | 9m 00s | tinythumb | Also not working on my Mac :( Will come back to check later. Or you can let me know if you fixed it: azurenimbus@gmail.com or @azurenimbus on twitter. |
| Apr 24 21:22:00 | 15m 00s | Tiny Territories | I wish there was a way to play again after you die without having to quit and reload. At least that's what happens on my mac. It would be good also if you could block the enemy's bullets as you shoot! |
| Apr 24 21:26:00 | 4m 00s | SmallShoot | It would be good if there was a way to restart after you die. Besides that, it's pretty solid. Maybe if you could move faster, shoot faster bullets, the gameplay would be more fun. |
| Apr 24 21:31:00 | 5m 00s | iblic - I've been looking for ice cream | Hahaha, I had a lot of fun jumping around and getting stuck in the orbit. Cool game! |
| Apr 24 21:36:00 | 5m 00s | JENS - a cute beetle in a tiny world... | It works on the Mac, I was able to play with no problems. Nice game! <br/> <br/>If there's one thing you could do to make it better is to work on the collision detection for objects. It can be frustrating to not be able to walk in between things even though it looks like you can! <br/> <br/>Hope to see you coming back with more games! |
| Apr 24 21:38:00 | 2m 00s | Cells | Unfortunately also couldn't run it on my Mac :( I've been having about 50% luck with java games this LD. |
| Apr 24 21:44:00 | 6m 00s | Tiny Trader | VERY nice controls, quite smooth and relaxing. Liked the music and general mood too. |
| Apr 24 21:47:00 | 3m 00s | Tiny Ranger | Keep developing it, it could turn into a pretty cool game. |
| Apr 24 21:54:00 | 7m 00s | 9Lives | I like it, I think it's actually a deceptively ambitious concept. The only thing I would suggest is working on the controls. I actually like the tiny graphics, they are awesome. |
| Apr 24 21:56:00 | 2m 00s | Zombie Siege | Couldn't run either web or Mac versions. Let me know if you fix it: azurenimbus@gmail.com |
| Apr 24 22:02:00 | 6m 00s | Calamity | I think this was a very cool idea, and good execution overall. While I like the concept of slowly unveiling the world, I think it would work better if the scenery was less repetitive and/or if there were more interesting things you could run into. <br/> <br/>Good job! |
| Apr 24 22:09:00 | 7m 00s | Nibbles | Game is very promising, you should keep working on it! <br/> <br/>The look, controls and general feel of the game are all great. On top of adding the things that you said, especially a better challenge from the enemies, it would be good if there were things we could do around the level, since it seemed to get repetitive after a while. <br/> <br/>Very solid up to where you got, though. Good job! |
| Apr 24 22:16:00 | 7m 00s | Survive, my little pixel! | I second what devwil said, browser games for the win. <br/> <br/>Now, this game was pretty well made. Like someone said, I wasn't sure though if there was a goal or an end to it. Good job with the graphics and control! |
| Apr 24 22:56:00 | 40m 00s | Gnome Alone | Fun game. I didn't run into any of the problems most people are talking about. <br/> <br/>I wish there was a bit more to do. Good job, though! |
| Apr 24 23:04:00 | 8m 00s | dot | I really love the design of this game. The simplicity, the voice-over: I really enjoyed it. I'd really love to see this expanded upon! |
| Apr 25 01:02:00 | 1h 58m | Super Shotgun Showdown | Very good playing feel... you know, the way the game feels on your fingers. Good job overall, one of the most solid games I've played on LD this time around. |
| Apr 25 01:21:00 | 19m 00s | Electron Cloud | This game is a success :) Great fun, nice gameplay. |
| Apr 25 01:29:00 | 8m 00s | Salmonella Attack | Well, it was fun playing and being completely WTFed out. Cause I didn't read your note first : ) |
| Apr 25 01:34:00 | 5m 00s | Spaceship In The Sky With Colors | Very clever and original. Good execution too. |
| Apr 25 01:41:00 | 7m 00s | Only Your Home | I get this error code on Mac: <br/> <br/>An error occurred: <br/>Component: engine <br/>Code: 200 <br/> <br/>Detail: 3 <br/> <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> <br/> (anonymous function) <br/> (anonymous function) <br/> (anonymous function) <br/> (anonymous function) <br/> ge_run <br/> ge_compile <br/> gnusto_error <br/> (anonymous function) |
| Apr 25 03:28:00 | 1h 47m | Tiny the Adventurer | I don't think multiple lives, but maybe start back at the room your in when you die? <br/> <br/>Loved the game, the difficulty made me want to punch someone, but I loved it. <br/> <br/>All of the traps have signs, and I absolutely love that they are hard to see at first, because it forces you to train your eyes, like a real explorer. So making the block too obvious would kinda go against that, I think. <br/> <br/>I like this style, cause it isn't just about skill, but also attention, and patience. It's a little different from what most people would expect. I actually had an idea for a game playing this :) |
| Apr 25 03:33:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny (Growing) World | I second that. And you should keep on building the game, it has potential! |
| Apr 25 03:39:00 | 6m 00s | Battle of the Planets | Interesting, it's kind of a new take, since you don't actually collect things, but the planets orbiting you do. I thought it was pretty well done, and had a fun vibe. Music was good too! |
| Apr 25 03:45:00 | 6m 00s | doggone | The page won't load =/ Not an error, just... it seems like the server is not responding. <br/> <br/>Using safari on Lion. If anything changes, drop me a comment and I'll check again! |
| Apr 25 04:04:00 | 19m 00s | WTF LEMME OUT!!! | I had quite a laugh. I can't believe how short it is, you should definitely make it longer. Full points on humor, though. |
| Apr 25 04:12:00 | 8m 00s | Bright Worlds | I'm sad that I can't hear anything but a screeching sound on my Mac OS X Lion :( <br/> <br/>Loved the mechanics, very nice game. |
| Apr 26 00:32:00 | 20h 20m | Quarks vs Leptons! | Hey, very nice and functional shmup. Loved the use of typography and the sounds. Also, great music. |
| Apr 26 00:58:00 | 26m 00s | Spaceships: Origins | I liked the music, and the mood of the game. Also, the idea of having to acquire something to go into the warps. Creates an interesting combination. It would be great if there were more enemies or more ways to interact while we're searching for what we need for that warp. Great job overall. |
| Apr 26 01:01:00 | 3m 00s | Tiny World | Aw, would be great if you had finished it. |
| Apr 26 01:06:00 | 5m 00s | Cyberoid | The controls are interesting. It would be nice if you could add stages, and a certain challenge or goal per level. |
| Apr 26 01:17:00 | 11m 00s | Stomp-A-Thump | This is fun, I love this concept. You should expand it, tighten the controls and add some variety, but there's a great potential for the idea. Could be very satisfying to stomp all kinds of things. <br/> <br/>Also, I really liked the fact that you confirm by pressing the stomp button and it goes straight into stomping the first castle. Fun stuff. <br/> <br/>I'd like to see it if you expand it, let me know. |
| Apr 26 21:26:00 | 20h 09m | Slime Mold | This has a lot of personality, I really liked it. <br/> <br/>I think that your game would definitely benefit from a game over, since we're trying to stop something from happening (rather than, say, reach a goal). <br/> <br/>Like you said yourself, though, beautiful graphics and sound. Let's all vote high for mood! |
| Apr 29 22:19:00 | 72h 53m | 100seconds'World | Very cool idea, nice presentation. |
| Apr 29 22:28:00 | 9m 00s | Boundaries | Very cool mechanics. It's very satisfying. Many people have said it, but you should definitely polish it up, it's a lot of fun. <br/> <br/>Ah, also, I thought I should tell you I had some performance issues on both Safari and Chrome on my Mac, it slowed down a bit. |
| Apr 29 22:59:00 | 31m 00s | Gulliver | Wow! Very solid metroidvania shmup made in only 48h. It felt incredibly consistent in the controls, sound effects, everything, very impressive. The music was really really good too. A lot of production value for such little time. <br/> <br/>This is a nice combination, you should expand it, make the upgrades more interesting and diverse (not just different shooting colors), and improve graphics and we could have an amazing game here! <br/> <br/>Good job. |
| Apr 29 23:04:00 | 5m 00s | Lost in space | Made me smile. :) |
| Apr 29 23:09:00 | 5m 00s | Nan-o | Really unique, great minimalism. <br/> <br/>I thought the ships were gorgeous. |
| Apr 29 23:12:00 | 3m 00s | orange thing | Cool backgrounds! <br/> <br/>The graphics don't bother me in the least. I'd suggest making the character move a bit faster, but I guess that's more of a subjective thing. |
| Apr 29 23:19:00 | 7m 00s | Pocket Universe | Very cute and relaxing. I would only suggest working on the physics of the gravity, as it was confusing in some points. Cool entry! |
| Apr 29 23:22:00 | 3m 00s | Spider World | I'd definitely suggest making the controls faster and tighter. Just some tweaking could make this a lot of fun! Keep at it! |
| Apr 29 23:26:00 | 4m 00s | Spheres.. | Very nice presentation, especially graphics. I also liked the food mechanic (and it made me quite a bit hungry). |
| Apr 29 23:30:00 | 4m 00s | Sun Save World | Wow, this was a genius idea. <br/> <br/>Very moody, very ominous. I liked it a lot. |
| Apr 29 23:48:00 | 18m 00s | To What a Mountain? | It was a lot of fun and hilarious. But it got a bit repetitive, even though the dialogue was awesome. There could be more to do. |
| Apr 29 23:51:00 | 3m 00s | Uncle Istvan | Nice presentation! |
| May 2 04:23:00 | 52h 32m | Incredible Impact | Haha, had a laugh. I was actually super excited to see more levels. |
| May 2 04:28:00 | 5m 00s | Magic House | Interesting take on the locked room style, with Alice in Wonderland mechanics! |
| May 2 04:31:00 | 3m 00s | Ant Run | Nice mood and music! The gameplay could be quite exciting at times, there's a nice feeling of terror when the huge drops came towards you. |
| May 2 04:36:00 | 5m 00s | Children of DiscoDroid | Wow, very unique idea. |
| May 2 04:46:00 | 10m 00s | Crysthurl | Very very solid entry, this is a great hidden gem! Nice job, especially with mechanics and graphics. |
| May 2 20:59:00 | 16h 13m | Cage | I was actually deeply moved by your game. The mood, the music, the way Hank moves so slowly, all combined to create a very believable experience. <br/> <br/>It was short, but really cool. Congrats. |
| May 2 21:05:00 | 6m 00s | Conqueror | Really cool idea! The game over sound was driving me crazy. But I enjoyed it overall :) |
| May 2 21:08:00 | 3m 00s | Combat Cube | Nice gameplay, made me wanna play until the end! |
| May 2 21:29:00 | 21m 00s | Crystalbots | Absolutely tons of fun! Surprisingly deep game for something made in 48 hours. Already one of my favorites! <br/> <br/>I think this game is basically perfect as it is. If you wanna improve on it, maybe just work on the music. <br/> <br/>Now as a side note, I was infuriated when, later in the game, in the middle of a crazy wave, I was moving the mouse like crazy and by mistake clicked a little below the game... on one of the links!!! I lost all my progress. It drove me crazy :) |
| May 2 21:51:00 | 22m 00s | Download Incomplete | This is a little masterpiece. <br/> <br/>Loved the graphics and gameplay. Collecting things can be tedious, but your level design and sounds, as well as the particle effects made it so satisfying to collect those damned bytes! <br/> <br/>Great job. |
| May 2 21:57:00 | 6m 00s | Dragons of Pluto | Was a bit misleading, I thought you could breathe fire right away. The game plays smoothly once you get the hang of it. Cool idea! |
| May 2 21:59:00 | 2m 00s | Dusty | I was really freaked out by the graphics. o_o. |
| May 2 22:12:00 | 13m 00s | Exposed | Fantastic job. It was fun all the way to the end. Very creative. Great graphics and audio too. |
| May 2 22:48:00 | 36m 00s | Gnome Purseuit | Interesting game, don't remember playing anything like it. |
| May 2 22:55:00 | 7m 00s | Immunity | Really liked the mood and the visuals. |
| May 2 22:58:00 | 3m 00s | It's a crazy tiny world after all ! | Very surreal, I kinda like it :) |
| May 2 23:03:00 | 5m 00s | Lady Bug!!! | Charming little platformer. The flying controls could be improved a bit, they are a bit frustrating. Good job, keep making more! |
| May 2 23:10:00 | 7m 00s | Kupow | Hey, some very nice ideas and variations going on here. Quite unique and well developed. |
| May 2 23:17:00 | 7m 00s | Kumiho | WOW. Are you serious? Mind-blowing. Great feeling, nice mechanics, I definitely saved it to play more when I have time. <br/> <br/>The only, only little thing that I have to comment on: the music looped weirdly, it's more like it suddenly stopped and restarted every time. I thought that was a weird thing for a game so incredibly polished otherwise. <br/> <br/>Great job. Any plans to improve/expand on it? |
| May 2 23:26:00 | 9m 00s | Kill Drill | Great presentation. I wish there was a little more depth to the gameplay. Good job, though. |
| May 2 23:33:00 | 7m 00s | Lost In Her Eye | High points for mood. It was kinda creepy. I thought it was a very cool idea, but the mechanics involved in scrubbing were not the best solution, I think. It was kinda difficult. I think you should keep on building on it! <br/> <br/>Nice first game for LD. Come again! |
| May 2 23:39:00 | 6m 00s | Little Sky.... | This could have been great. Definitely the one thing that could be improved is the controls. Unique idea. Thanks for making it! |
| May 2 23:44:00 | 5m 00s | Lord Deadrock's Adventures | Really enjoyed the graphics. I think the controls and collisions could be improved a bit, I got stuck in weird places and stuff. But it was a lot of fun. |
| May 2 23:51:00 | 7m 00s | Mesene's tiny world | parapajunpapaparapaparo parapajunparapaderaparapeparapun parapajunparapapeparo parapadoparapadapadaparapo! |
| May 2 23:54:00 | 3m 00s | Maru | Cool game! Very nicely implemented mechanics and immersive audio! |
| May 2 23:59:00 | 5m 00s | Memento XII | Wow, very impressed. One of the best so far. |
| May 3 00:01:00 | 2m 00s | Materia | Very nice core idea. |
| May 3 00:06:00 | 5m 00s | Matrix Creatrix | Very intriguing game. I liked it. Surprisingly, I had performance issues on Safari, but other than that, great entry. |
| May 3 00:11:00 | 5m 00s | Milunar | Nice clean look. |
| May 3 00:41:00 | 30m 00s | Obsolescence | Very nice presentation, interesting ideas. |
| May 3 02:08:00 | 1h 27m | "Vesta: Galactic Convict Colony | I think that this game could become quite cool if you made it so that we have to kill a lot less criminals and added a little more challenge. That would help make it more engaging, I think. |
| May 3 02:15:00 | 7m 00s | Professor McSteen, and his shrinking machine | I think there's good potential, and this works well as a prototype. You should work on the mechanics, because they feel a little awkward. |
| May 3 02:17:00 | 2m 00s | 25 Rooms | It was very interesting. You should try to make it a bit more clear to the player. |
| May 3 02:20:00 | 3m 00s | 48 hour MMO | Wow, very ambitious! Amazing that you got this to work, from a technical perspective. Congrats! |
| May 3 02:23:00 | 3m 00s | A Cube Race | Very creepy :D I like it, but the moving around could get a little awkward. Nice graphics, also! |
| May 3 02:26:00 | 3m 00s | 70 seconds left | I enjoyed the graphics and feel of the game. It's pretty cool, but I couldn't enjoy it as much because for some reason I also had performance issues. It would freeze when I breathed fire. |
| May 3 02:28:00 | 2m 00s | a little place. | Unique concept and visuals! Took me a while to figure it out, though. |
| May 3 02:32:00 | 4m 00s | A day in your Life | That was cool and rather unique. It was also charming. You can't fly! |
| May 3 02:37:00 | 5m 00s | A Flying Shame | Nice non-shooting shmup! |
| May 3 02:40:00 | 3m 00s | A Perfect Purpose | You've got a ways to go to finish it, but it already looks promising. |
| May 3 02:41:00 | 1m 00s | A Robot's Journey | Gah, also didn't work on my Mac (safari). I have java installed, of course. |
| May 3 02:46:00 | 5m 00s | 6 Degrees of Sabotage | Absolutely fantastic game. And gorgeous! I saved it and will definitely play more after Ludum Dare! Good job, sir! |
| May 3 02:51:00 | 5m 00s | A Week in the life of... | This game looks like nothing I've ever played. I think you stumbled onto something here, and you'd do great to explore it. |
| May 3 02:57:00 | 6m 00s | Adventures in NoLand | It looks gorgeous! Good job. |
| May 3 02:59:00 | 2m 00s | Aedicula | Some interesting puzzles going on here. If you could polish it up (and obviously expand it), it'd be great! |
| May 3 03:03:00 | 4m 00s | Aether | Wow, particle orgy! Really fun to play, great visuals, very good controls... just a really nice game overall! I actually love to just watch the scenery get destroyed... :) |
| May 3 03:06:00 | 3m 00s | Angle Isle | Very nice, very solid game. Loved the angularness. |
| May 3 03:09:00 | 3m 00s | Antibody | Hey, you should put some more work into it and make it the way you envisioned! :) |
| May 3 03:11:00 | 2m 00s | Aquarium Adventure | The navigation was awkward, but it was definitely an immersive experience. |
| May 3 03:19:00 | 8m 00s | Astro Break | Awesome game! No complaints/suggestions! Just wanna play it more later! |
| May 3 04:11:00 | 52m 00s | Berry Hunt | Really lovely game! |
| May 3 04:12:00 | 1m 00s | BigMe | It was fun, but the controls were a bit off, I thought. With some work, it could be great! |
| May 3 04:23:00 | 11m 00s | Childhood toys | Pretty cool game! |
| May 3 04:41:00 | 18m 00s | Controlling | Fantastic job. It was really enjoyable, quiet and introspective. Very high marks for most of the execution. |
| May 3 04:48:00 | 7m 00s | Cows and Stuff | YOU FOUND A KEY! :D Best. Sound effects. Ever. |
| May 4 02:58:00 | 22h 10m | Cubicle Complex | It was actually quite captivating, and I found myself playing it for a good while! |
| May 4 03:01:00 | 3m 00s | Five by Five | The game has a pretty solid structure, just needs a little bit more building. When you say all the things that it lacks like that, it makes it sound much worse than what it actually is :) Come back next time! |
| May 4 03:03:00 | 2m 00s | Flight of the Ladybug | Lots of fun, very addictive! Also, the game feels very smooth, great job with that. |
| May 4 03:06:00 | 3m 00s | Flying Castles | This seems like it could be fun. I have to get a friend to try it out later. <br/> <br/>I like it how you basically said fuck you to the theme :D |
| May 4 03:11:00 | 5m 00s | Free Donutia | Well made and very well-rounded game. It's not my cup of tea, but I even played it for a while! |
| May 4 03:23:00 | 12m 00s | Freezen Break | Hey, a surprising little gem here! I really enjoyed your game, with some polish it could be a pretty cool puzzle platformer. In addition to The Lost Vikings, I am reminded of Shaun the Sheep, the flash game. <br/> <br/>Nice one, come back for the next Ludum Dare! |
| May 4 03:26:00 | 3m 00s | Fuseglow | Interesting combination of choose your adventure with animations. The only thing I'd like to see is, obviously, more. |
| May 4 03:34:00 | 8m 00s | Get Tiny! | Like some people before, it reminded me a lot of a more streamlined Osmos. I wonder, was it intentional? No shame in that either, most games in LD wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Mario. But I'm just curious because, if you haven't played it, that would be quite interesting. <br/> <br/>Anyway, good job getting this done in 48h. I wish you had added some more levels, since you already had the mechanics nailed down, it was pretty short! <br/> <br/>Nice audio, btw. |
| May 4 03:44:00 | 10m 00s | Hambugaaa | The author was just trying to make a fun simple game, I think some people need to chill. It was pretty good compared to many others I've seen on LD. Thanks for contributing, it was fun and surreal! :D |
| May 4 03:51:00 | 7m 00s | Hearth Attack | Wow, you did a great job with the graphics and mood... full points for those. At first I was a bit annoyed there were no sounds for the bullets and enemies, but as I played I realized having just the heartbeat was a great touch. The graphics are gorgeous. <br/> <br/>You did a great job overall. |
| May 4 03:55:00 | 4m 00s | I Refuse | The above comment was rude and uncalled for. <br/> <br/>Very nice game, I was very surprised when it changed from building to trash collecting, was not expecting that! |
| May 4 04:00:00 | 5m 00s | My Tiny Town | You did a very good job, very solid and fun game. <br/> <br/>Just wanted to say, even though everyone's entitled to their opinion, I felt you were pointlessly rude to the creator of the game I Refuse: <br/> <br/>http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=11546 <br/> <br/>You might be happy with your game, but it kinda goes against the point of the compo/jam to go around saying your game is better than someone else's, don't you think? A little disappointing. <br/> <br/>(This obviously did NOT affect my rating of your game in any way, though.) |
| May 4 04:08:00 | 8m 00s | In Delusion | Really moody music, really creepy game. I think that the report at the end was kinda redundant. I think if you want people to get a point, they should get it from the game itself. If they don't, you should rework some elements. <br/> <br/>I think that even though it's a little disjointed, this game has a lot of potential, and the disorienting shifts actually worked well to recreate the character's disturbed mind. |
| May 4 04:34:00 | 26m 00s | itty 8bitty | Brilliant wouldn't begin to describe it, this was an incredibly solid game, definitely one of my favorites. Very engaging and refreshing. <br/> <br/>About the instructions. While I agree entirely with you, I think that for itty 8bitty that doesn't work as well. The reason why is because there is a little too much ambiguity, beyond a certain threshold, in my opinion. It boils down to the fact that there is no visual feedback (as part of the mechanics) and that there is no discernible difference blue, white, green and black squares. We see the arrows, but all we had seen before were blocks. My first impression was that this was more like Tetris and that we could move the three-colored block or rotate it somehow. In other words, while I absolutely love discovering what to do, and even who I am in games, and also did not include any instructions in my game, I think that there is a certain minimum feedback you should provide in order to not distract too much from the core gameplay. When I did discover what I was supposed to do in itty 8bitty, I was not satisfied, but simply annoyed, after 2 or 3 game overs. That instantly went away because the game is so goddamn good, but it worked against it instead of for it, in my experience. I don't know what the best solution would be (and I'm certainly not suggesting putting simple instructions in there), but you could experiment. A thing that could help is not having a game over in the first level, just audio feedback when you press the wrong key, until you move right. <br/> <br/>But like I said, this really didn't impact the fact that the game is a great achievement, I was just trying to give some positive constructive feedback. <br/> <br/>Awesome job! |
| May 4 04:58:00 | 24m 00s | Fracuum | Son, did everyone ever tell you you're good at this making games business? |
| May 4 05:15:00 | 17m 00s | Frustrating Tiny Rooms | Wow, I can tell you worked really hard on those levels. Great job! |
| May 4 20:59:00 | 15h 44m | DIMENSIONAUTS | It was a very ambitious project for your first game, especially considering the 48h limit! Try something smaller next time and you will be able to make a better package of it! <br/> <br/>To make this game better, I definitely suggest reducing the text in the beginning, get people engaging with it as soon as possible. <br/> <br/>Hope you enjoyed being in the compo, and come back next time! |
| May 4 21:04:00 | 5m 00s | March of the Ladybirds | It was good, but you definitely should have sped it up a bit. |
| May 4 21:08:00 | 4m 00s | Snow Globe | I liked it, rather unique. |
| May 4 21:15:00 | 7m 00s | Solenopsis Invicta | Congrats on finishing the game. |
| May 4 21:28:00 | 13m 00s | Soul Searchin' | =O <br/> <br/>I hope this wins. That's all. |
| May 4 21:33:00 | 5m 00s | spectrumTrap | Nicely done. I really really wish you had found a way to incorporate gaming aspects to this concept. It was quite beautiful, though. |
| May 5 00:45:00 | 3h 12m | Niña Nueve | Awesome! |
| May 5 00:50:00 | 5m 00s | Nematode | Really unique, I enjoyed it a lot. It can drive you INSANE (in a good way). But I can't say anything about that :D <br/> <br/>Great job! |
| May 5 00:58:00 | 8m 00s | Nook | It's amazing how much you put into the graphics, it looks very good. Also sounds very good. I was not able to get too engaged with the game, I felt the controls were a bit awkward. The post-compo felt much better to play, but I felt it was still a bit off. Especially the jumping and bouncing around. Fixing that, this'd be perfect! |
| May 5 01:02:00 | 4m 00s | Oh Boy, Oh Boy | Really nice take on a type of game that I normally don't like too much. Made it quite interesting to play by reducing the controls to a beautiful minimalism. Very well implemented, great job! Will be playing more of this in the future. |
| May 5 01:17:00 | 15m 00s | ONLY DUST | Beautiful, atmospheric, haunting. I feel it's definitely in an unfinished state, with a couple of weird things, especially transitioning between "screens", sometimes you get stuck for no reason as it fades out, little things like that that can detract from the experience. In general, though, great job, played all the way to the end. <br/> <br/>I liked the story, and I liked the slow progression of it, as you meet character by character without taking too much time from the gameplay. I felt it was a nice touch that they were all basically looking the same, because of the suits. If you could put a little bit of work to make the text a little more serious and somber, it would help enormously with the mood (just to make it even better), especially the doctor at the end. <br/> <br/>Another suggestion was to put in a little bit of diversity, maybe just one different challenge before you power up the ship. Something that feels like a boss, but not necessarily so. That would be cool, and add a nice climax. <br/> <br/>All of these are simple suggestions because I'd love to see this game a little more polished, I really enjoyed it. Great job! |
| May 5 01:22:00 | 5m 00s | ONLY US | Incredibly polished! |
| May 5 01:37:00 | 15m 00s | Perl Guardian | Unfortunately, I agree with what the people above said and was very confused. It seems quite intriguing, though. |
| May 5 01:46:00 | 9m 00s | Scape | Pretty fun! |
| May 5 01:50:00 | 4m 00s | Seclude | Very interesting. It played somewhat different from text adventures that I played in the past. |
| May 5 01:55:00 | 5m 00s | Short Life in a Box | Nice one! I'm pretty sure this is the most fun I've had on LD 23 playing a game that used 3D with Unity. It's also very smooth, unlike most of the others (thanks for adding the sensitivity control). |
| May 6 03:26:00 | 25h 31m | Tiny World of Wonders - FaBrito (@fabritobricio) | It was actually incredibly an introspective journey. The distance and the silence both contributed to a moment of peace and quiet while playing the game and discovering the secrets. It was quite pleasant. Good job. <br/> <br/>E é sempre bom ver brazucas. :) Se puder, olha o meu jogo também. |
| May 6 03:36:00 | 10m 00s | The Sheep Are Sinking | This was pretty neat, I never saw anything like this! If you polish up the graphics and sound, this could become amazing, I think. It was actually a lot of fun in this state too. Congrats! |
| May 6 03:43:00 | 7m 00s | Big Space Tiny Man | It felt great to shoot the little people :D Nice animation and sounds. I actually played a while before reading I couldn't win haha. Finish it, it'll be lots of fun! |
| May 6 03:50:00 | 7m 00s | Wulcan | Remarkably solid play, lots of fun, nice mood, great job! The music was surprisingly chill for a shmup, I liked it :) |
| May 6 03:58:00 | 8m 00s | River Runner | Sir, you have wasted my valuable time, that could have been used to play other Ludum Dare games, by uploading such an addictive entry. Shame on you! <br/> <br/>Full points for fun :) |
| May 6 04:07:00 | 9m 00s | All That Are Lost Will Be Found | Wow, this was incredible. Very dark in a more than literal way. Good job. |
| May 6 20:50:00 | 16h 43m | Overpopulous | Pretty cool! Loved the graphics and the animations. The open sequence was neat. Flying around felt just right and was a lot of fun. Congrats! |
| May 6 22:16:00 | 1h 26m | The Traveler | Oh noooooo, so short! <br/> <br/>I thought it was rather brilliant, and loved the mood/graphics. :) |
| May 9 21:18:00 | 71h 02m | TINY LIZARD SWELL WORLD | And I thought I was pushing the limit with MY game! You, sir, have some balls. In inverse proportion to the size of that damn lizard :D |
| May 9 21:28:00 | 10m 00s | This Planet Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us | Very interesting play style, I enjoyed it. I was not able to progress much, though. |
| May 9 21:37:00 | 9m 00s | Housefly | I think I didn't have this much fun playing any other LD game! So cool! It's got a really cinematic feel to it. Love the zooming in and out as you go into areas. The flying around was very satisfying because of that. <br/> <br/>I could definitely play a game like this for hours if you make enough content. <br/> <br/>One tiny suggestion, make the game boundaries actual visible things, so that it doesn't feel weird that the fly can't suddenly keep going right or left for no reason. <br/> <br/>Fantastic job. |
| May 9 21:48:00 | 11m 00s | Copulous | That was pretty cool! I had such an urge to massacre them. Kinda scary, human nature. The music was awesome. <br/> <br/>When I collected the red coin, I thought that the mode was that the bunnies could suddenly kill me, and I had to run from them. That's the feeling I got from the change of colors and music. Only after reading here that I realized what it was supposed to be. <br/> <br/>Also, had some performance issues on my Mac+Safari when the population reached over 100. Nice entry! |
| May 9 21:58:00 | 10m 00s | Don't mess with magical cube | I thought it was quite clever and well designed. <br/> <br/>I had a few frustrating moments when a sideways moving platform wouldn't touch the wall I was in and I couldn't jump to get on it. I got it eventually, but it seems like if fixed the game could be more enjoyable! |
| May 9 22:01:00 | 3m 00s | Most of us live in a tiny world | It wouldn't load =/ Using Safari on a Mac. |
| May 9 22:31:00 | 30m 00s | Worlds in Cards | Incredibly elegant, meticulously designed, perfect little game. <br/> <br/>One of my favorites. |
| May 9 22:45:00 | 14m 00s | Mitochondrion | Ah, I was really looking forward to seeing what would happen when all the organisms rotated... so disappointing! But in a good way, because it means I got really engaged in your game. Liked the main core of it, and also the graphics, that reminded me a lot of Metroid. <br/> <br/>I'd like to see where you take this! :) |
| May 9 22:51:00 | 6m 00s | Little Mischief Makers | I enjoyed the music and the look of the game, but had some trouble controlling my character. He seemed unreasonably heavy and slow for a platformer, and there were some collision detection problems with the blocks. All of these are easy to fix, though! |
| May 9 22:58:00 | 7m 00s | Tiny World | Had a lot of fun playing this. It's quite solid. <br/> <br/>It's interesting how you have to keep rewiring your brain every time your planetoid changes color. |
| May 9 23:06:00 | 8m 00s | Naos | I quite enjoyed the transitions and the general mood. |
| May 9 23:12:00 | 6m 00s | The Little Glitch | Seemed like it could be an interesting psychedelic experience, but the controls made it very hard to play. I also had some performance issues and slowdown. Played the Mac version. <br/> <br/>Would like to see it in better shape :) |
| May 9 23:16:00 | 4m 00s | Super Orbit Worlds | Surprisingly complex ramifications from an innovative style of play. Instead of controlling the planet, you control the center point of its orbit. I thought it was fascinating and kept surprising me as I played. This could definitely be explored further. |
| May 9 23:22:00 | 6m 00s | Drill It!: Demolition Co. | Awesome graphics, interesting and engaging mechanics! Nice one. <br/> <br/>Would just suggest making the machine move sideways a bit faster. |
| May 9 23:28:00 | 6m 00s | ACTION SCIENCE DOG | Really nice, I fell in love with my character : ) |
| May 9 23:35:00 | 7m 00s | Tiny Apocalypse | I couldn't get the web version to work properly, the screen was flickering non-stop and I kept being pushed by a giant glitch. It was kinda surreal, haha. |
| May 9 23:40:00 | 5m 00s | The Last Square | Looks fascinating. I need to get someone to play it with soon. |
| May 9 23:46:00 | 6m 00s | Robots Are Red, Violets Are Blue | So cool! Never played anything like it. When I figured out how to move fast it was tons of fun. Also, absolutely hilarious! |
| May 9 23:50:00 | 4m 00s | Backyard Pirates | Really fun! This is begging for multiplayer. |
| May 9 23:57:00 | 7m 00s | Poor Pluto's Revenge | I am so glad I got that bastard Neil tiGrasse Taizon! lol <br/> <br/>This was really fun, great concept and pretty cool graphics for the planets and Neil. I haven't played the post-compo yet, so I don't know what you did, but I absolutely suggest making it harder and making the some of the plants move while shooting. It's gonna make it much harder to catch the asteroids and a lot more fun! <br/> <br/>Great job overall! |
| May 10 00:07:00 | 10m 00s | Nanofactory | Amazing job. I'm surprised you were able to get this done in 48 hours. It's quite complex! <br/> <br/>My only suggestion is getting rid of the bot altogether. It's nice that there's a character and we're not just a cursor on screen, but I don't think it adds much. Just embrace your game's puzzlefulness to the extreme! |
| May 10 00:18:00 | 11m 00s | Tiny World | Fun and engaging. <br/> <br/>I had something weird happen to me. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your game, but when I opened it, another Love game opened instead, Wulcan, also from LD. It wasn't even the last one I had played. I had to delete all Love games from the hard drive and then redownload yours to get it to open. Very weird! |
| May 10 00:30:00 | 12m 00s | Prince of Leaves | Metal Gear Solid meets platforming? :) Absolutely loved it. The music giving instructions was a great touch. <br/> <br/>Also, the background is ridiculously beautiful, was it actually painted? |
| May 10 00:38:00 | 8m 00s | The Good Ship Higgs Boson | Fucking awesome game. At first I thought "AGAIN with the gravity mechanics?!" We've seen so many of these in recent years, yet your take on it is very refreshing and nicely crafted. I haven't played it to the end, but saved it for after the voting period. |
| May 10 00:43:00 | 5m 00s | ! | AGH I can't believe it's not finished! Looks so promising and plays so well! Please continue, and if you do, drop me a line. |
| May 10 00:48:00 | 5m 00s | Super Fun Crushy Time! | Some nice ideas, but the controls make it difficult to fully appreciate. You should definitely do a post-compo version. |
| May 10 02:18:00 | 1h 30m | Tiny Maze Speedrun | Pretty cool! In comparing with the classic pen and paper version, it would be nice if there was a way to track where you've gone, something like a yarn or pieces of bread you leave behind. Also, when you're doing this with a pen it can be much faster, because there are no walls you bump into when pressing a certain key. So if you could figure out a way to make the character never stop when you're pressing a certain key, this could be a million dollar idea! Well, maybe not a million dollars, but it'd be awesome :) |
| May 10 02:26:00 | 8m 00s | Spinworld | Very engaging mechanics, with all the buttons. I like how my fingers were all twitchy and my brain had to think quickly. Nicely done :) |
| May 10 02:33:00 | 7m 00s | Killer the Ant | Nicely done! Hope you come back for many more Ludum Dares, and hope to see more games from you! <br/> <br/>As a suggestion for next time, add some challenge to collecting the items, it can make it more interesting. |
| May 10 02:39:00 | 6m 00s | Shrink! | I really liked the mood and the graphics. Please, don't give up on this one. |
| May 10 02:47:00 | 8m 00s | 2 Tiny Gods | Wow, pretty crazy. |
| May 10 02:50:00 | 3m 00s | Destroy the Alien Planet | I've played just the original. And was saddened at how short it was! <br/> <br/>It was pretty solid with the exception of some strange friction on the crates. Good one! |
| May 10 03:01:00 | 11m 00s | Exciting Electrons | Fascinating concept. This was quite unique. You should polish the gameplay to make the experience more accessible and fun. |
| May 10 03:14:00 | 13m 00s | World Panic! | So. Awesome. <br/> <br/>This is a real gem! So simple, so elegant. You get to the essence of the bullet hell shooter, but without weapons. Perhaps because there are no weapons. Really loved the planet graphics. And what the hell is up with the music? It's fantastic, amazing that you made it in 48h while still having to make the whole game. It's nice, really gets you going. I really wanted to fuck Venus up, but he was a real pain in the ass. :D I saved it to play more later. <br/> <br/>Just one suggestion, make it clear to the player that there's no weapons. I never read instructions in here or elsewhere before playing, I want to see if the game gives me all that I need to know. I felt that as a shmup looking game, there needed to be shooting, so I spent a while trying to figure it out and kept dying. Haha. So I quit the game, thinking it was broken, and saw here that it was intentional. |
| May 10 03:19:00 | 5m 00s | GERMS: A Ghost Story | Absolutely loved the opening cinematic :D |
| May 10 03:24:00 | 5m 00s | Haxe Planets | I really liked your game, especially the core mechanics and the presentation. I felt you really did a good job developing the ramifications of the core concept, but that you should make some improvements in the gameplay. The bounciness could be a little unnerving, and there were some collision problems, when the character wouldn't go in between the blocks even though it looked like he should. <br/> <br/>Otherwise, great entry! |
| May 10 03:29:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny God | This was a cool looking particle-fest! The concept is simple and full of potential, you should explore it and create some interesting challenges. |
| May 10 03:34:00 | 5m 00s | Rock 'n' Slash | Very nice, solid game. Took me a little while to figure out the obvious: the enemies also died with two bullets. It's interesting how something that simple can change the way you play a game. <br/> <br/>I found it to be quite addictive. |
| May 10 03:37:00 | 3m 00s | Disregard All Humans | Nothing like smashing puny humans before bed. |
| May 10 03:41:00 | 4m 00s | Pico Planets | So much fun, and the gameplay was quite stunning, to be honest. The best of the kind I've seen so far in LD23. <br/> <br/>BUT PLEASE ADD A RETRY BUTTON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! My guy would constantly jump into oblivion and I had to watch him die in quiet desperation... |
| May 10 03:45:00 | 4m 00s | Little World Adventure | Finish it! It'll be awesome! |
| May 10 03:49:00 | 4m 00s | Another Kind of World | If I ever make a platformer, I want it to play like this. It's so satisfying, so fast, so responsive, the jumping off the edges and coming back from the top was brilliant. Great great game! <br/> <br/>Also, great graphics and mood. |
| May 10 03:54:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny World Defense Force | Some good ideas here, congrats. I think it would be better if your planet was a bit more responsive. |
| May 10 04:01:00 | 7m 00s | I Will Burn The Earth Down For You | Nice, simple idea. Good going. |
| May 10 04:07:00 | 6m 00s | Let's Go Moon | I loved it. There's a very strong cool factor for this one. <br/> <br/>Also, the music was awesome. |
| May 10 04:10:00 | 3m 00s | Max Stardust in "Asteroids and Stuff" | I liked the controls. Why didn't you add more stuff? It's a good prototype, for now, make it into a game! : ) |
| May 10 04:11:00 | 1m 00s | mach qo - klingon for small world | It's got interesting looking graphics! You should make it faster. |
| May 10 04:19:00 | 8m 00s | Pretentious Game | Just great. No suggestions, I think it's perfect. <br/> <br/>As a parody of sorts, this turned out to be quite amazing on its own. <br/> <br/>I don't know if the author will ever say what he had in mind, but I think it's a definite take on One and One Store, which is also great. I think the mechanics explored here are way more interesting, though. |
| May 10 04:23:00 | 4m 00s | The life in a box | You should consider renaming this "The WTF Game". <br/> <br/>Seriously though, I lolled. It was fun. |
| May 10 04:28:00 | 5m 00s | The Last Ride Home | Lot's of fun, quite tense! |
| May 10 04:35:00 | 7m 00s | Tiny Shelf | There's definitely some collision/friction problems, as you can't jump while next to a block, but besides that, it's a nice game. |
| May 10 04:39:00 | 4m 00s | Planet Slightshot | Very fun and addictive, solid gameplay! |
| May 10 14:59:00 | 10h 20m | Who stole my pixels?!? | I really liked the concept of this. I wish I'd understood right away I needed to let my trees grow. It's a really cool concept, and I really like games like this. |
| May 10 15:09:00 | 10m 00s | Tiny World - God Mode Edition | Although I've seen games kinda like this before, this seemed like a unique combination and I really enjoyed it! It seems like it'll be easy, but it's actually pretty challenging, especially the more "followers" you have. Oh! One last thing: the in-game achievements were surprising and very cute. I liked it! Keep it up! |
| May 10 15:18:00 | 9m 00s | Tiny Civilization | I have to be honest. I played the 48 hour, and then afterwards went to see the color version, and I have to say, I really really prefer the black and white. It's beautiful and minimalistic (which I like) but still clear and easy to understand. <br/>The music is fantastic. And it is quite clear you put a lot of effort into this. Bravo! |
| May 10 15:23:00 | 5m 00s | Path O' Invasion | I don't think I've seen this concept executed like this: you start with one guy, and you transform other guys, but you have to be careful they don't transform you. I didn't quite understand the mechanic behind why some guys were easy to conquer while others conquered me, but I had fun. Good job! |
| May 10 15:29:00 | 6m 00s | Gods Inc. | I liked it! <br/> <br/>The only thing that confused me was that sometimes I didn't know which tribe was mine and which was the faceless Other that I needed to steal food from. But it was fun! |
| May 10 15:33:00 | 4m 00s | eat, sleep, work | I really like the idea of the cubical (cubicle?) world! |
| May 10 15:37:00 | 4m 00s | Super Strict Farmer | A fighting farmer game! I really like the presentation, and laughed out loud (for serious!) when I saw the title screen. |
| May 10 15:47:00 | 10m 00s | The Island | The song was awesome. Seriously please release it as a separate thing. So intense. <br/> <br/>The game was fun, but I couldn't get the inventory to work. I'm on a mac, playing the web version, don't know if that helps. |
| May 10 15:54:00 | 7m 00s | Atomswarm - Tiny Cycles | I liked it! I even liked the "pew-pew-pew" of the population, even though it did seem a bit disconcerting at first. Keep it up! |
| May 10 15:59:00 | 5m 00s | In a Lonely Sea of Stars | I have to say, I think you're on to something here. The graphics are lovely. I obviously played only the LD48hour version, but I think with some refinement (I also couldn't get past the initial asteroids) it could be really awesome! <br/> <br/>Great submission! |
| May 10 16:09:00 | 10m 00s | Tinysasters | I like this sort of square corner worldview. It's really cute and the idea of knowing what disaster is coming when is something I've not seen before. Good submission! |
| May 10 17:05:00 | 56m 00s | Stranded | Nice, enjoyable game. The music is soothing. If you could work on the collision boxes, it would make the gameplay more fun. |
| May 10 17:10:00 | 5m 00s | Atom Factory | Cool game and idea. The core challenge is good, but maybe you can make it more fun by adding twists as you progress. |
| May 10 17:22:00 | 12m 00s | Little Biyubi | Soooo cool! I approve of this! <br/> <br/>Will it be bad if I say that this game looks way better than 95% of 3D Unity games I've played so far? This is the future of 3D!!! <br/> <br/>Seriously, congrats, it was great. It was hard, but in a good way, I felt like there was plenty of room to grow for me as a player. You should consider expanding it. <br/> <br/>Loved the tiny size too. |
| May 10 17:30:00 | 8m 00s | caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky | Sir, I represent the estate of Stanely Kubrik and you're screwed! <br/> <br/>It was pretty interesting. Would have been incredible if each monolith actually made your weapon superior or gave you speed and other abilities. <br/> <br/>(Can't say enough how I liked the name of the game. Haha.) |
| May 10 17:36:00 | 6m 00s | Magniverse | Thought this was nicely put together, and very elegant. You did a good job. <br/> <br/>There wasn't much keeping me from playing it after the first minutes, though. Maybe you could build upon the main idea to create a more rewarding experience. |
| May 10 17:43:00 | 7m 00s | Small Slime Adventure | Interesting take on the theme! |
| May 10 17:57:00 | 14m 00s | Tiny's World | Aw, it was so sweet. I played the original and had some performance issues, as well as general unresponsiveness from the characters. It was really cool, though, made me smile. Release the song! I will turn it into my alarm tune to wake up every morning. |
| May 10 18:09:00 | 12m 00s | Rockland | I really liked the graphics, and the game is cool, but I wasn't engaged enough to continue playing to 100. |
| May 10 18:19:00 | 10m 00s | Tiny Maze | Ah it looked like it would be awesome. I played just the original, so I don't know about the post-compo yet, but there was a major problem with the collision detection. I really liked the graphics and the size :) |
| May 10 18:26:00 | 7m 00s | SAVE YOUR FOLKS! | Nice fun game! But there's a problem. Where is the motivation to save the French? :D <br/> <br/>D'oh! Sorry. <br/> <br/>I really enjoyed it. |
| May 10 18:36:00 | 10m 00s | The Tiny World of Fiorella | Awesome Zeldaesque game! <br/> <br/>I was a little annoyed at the speed at first, but when I powered up it got much better. I definitely saved the post-jam version for playing later. Great job! |
| May 10 18:40:00 | 4m 00s | Invasion Of The Trivials | Nice. Would only suggest making the controls a bit less responsive. |
| May 10 18:45:00 | 5m 00s | Ecosim | I couldn't get it to run at all for some reason =/ Using Safari. First time that a Unity game didn't load for me. |
| May 10 18:51:00 | 6m 00s | IÄTI | I thought it was very unique and the music created a nice mood. Good job. |
| May 10 18:56:00 | 5m 00s | Professor Squeaks: The Circuitous Escape! | The controls were not very polished, and I hated the bounciness from the top of the screen, especially when you needed to jump to another platform but couldn't. But overall it was a nice puzzle plat former :) |
| May 10 18:59:00 | 3m 00s | Tiny World Adventure | The graphics look really pretty, and shooting feels just right. : ) |
| May 10 19:09:00 | 10m 00s | Dave is in a Fish Tank | Nice, very unique. |
| May 10 19:13:00 | 4m 00s | Narrow | So simple, but nicely put together! |
| May 10 19:17:00 | 4m 00s | LittlePlanetBigRocket | I like the streamlined, simple concept. Better graphics and some music would create an interesting mood, especially considering the asteroid keeps coming. You should capitalize on that to create tension! |
| May 10 19:30:00 | 13m 00s | Block Bros | It was very endearing :) |
| May 10 19:35:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny Journey | Wow, very nostalgic for me :) Full points for graphics! |
| May 10 19:44:00 | 9m 00s | Peppyland | It's a shame, but the ctrl is a really bad choice of button for Mac users, since CTRL+any arrow key changes the screen you're on. Really nice looking game, though. |
| May 10 19:47:00 | 3m 00s | Bugs | Nice little virtual insect stealth hacking game! |
| May 10 20:03:00 | 16m 00s | Fractality | I was really enjoying it, then suddenly my character got stuck inexplicably! And I only saw your comment about pressing R after I quit. I should have tried it, though. <br/> <br/>It was really nice, I enjoyed the concept and execution. Fixing some of the control bugs would make it awesome! |
| May 10 20:09:00 | 6m 00s | Flea Circus | Haha, very inventive and fun :) Reminded me of when I used to like Tony Hawk, many many years ago! |
| May 10 20:12:00 | 3m 00s | Fooling Yourself in Moderation | A confusing and disorienting game, yet strangely compelling :) Liked music+mood. |
| May 10 20:26:00 | 14m 00s | gravity | It's hard to know where to begin. I think it's a little masterpiece. I sure as hell want to sink in a lot of time to master it. <br/> <br/>The balance of the mechanics is really good, the effect that shooting has on your own death is a genius touch. The feel of the game is completely nailed, it looks fantastic, plays brilliantly, etc. etc. <br/> <br/>I don't think I have anything to suggest, except make the game over (when the red blocks touch the ground) a bit more interesting. I think that the little island disappearing is a little disappointing in comparison with how awesome everything else is. Maybe something else could happen to be more in sync with the core ideas. It's not really a flaw, I'm just trying to think of something to contribute to this amazing game. <br/> <br/>Congratulations. |
| May 10 20:32:00 | 6m 00s | Intersection | Awesome idea! <br/> <br/>You should clarify what the conditions for winning and losing are. I got them to meet, and it said I failed. I thought that was the goal. |
| May 12 00:29:00 | 27h 57m | Invaders! | Very nice, quite easy to pick up and play. |
| May 12 00:32:00 | 3m 00s | Bunny Cube | Really liked the blocky graphics. |
| May 12 00:39:00 | 7m 00s | The Tourist | I thought this was a very interesting concept. I tried to pursue it for as long as I could, not sure if there is anything to be found except a deeper answer to our mournful existence through meditation and the philosophy of breaking walls. |
| May 12 00:42:00 | 3m 00s | LHC | I might potentially have had an aneurysm. Awesome! |
| May 12 00:45:00 | 3m 00s | Pale Blue Dot | This has to be the best game over screen in the history of video games. |
| May 12 00:57:00 | 12m 00s | Lililput | You mihgt or mihgt nto haev jsut rceivdee full makrs fomr me. |
| May 12 01:04:00 | 7m 00s | Rocket Boat | Really cool play style and very polished graphics and music. I feel I need to put some more time in before I can master it. |
| May 12 01:09:00 | 5m 00s | Synthesis | Nice mix, cool concept going here. |
| May 12 01:21:00 | 12m 00s | A Super Mario Summary | Finally got around to rating this game! <br/> <br/>It's surprising how amazingly different it plays and feels from Mario. Anyone who says this is a rehash clearly hasn't played the game. It very much does its own thing, and that thing is awesome. <br/> <br/>Great job especially with the graphics. They give you a feeling of SMB, but they shine with a certain personality and uniqueness that is all their own. <br/> <br/>The concept itself is the great star of the show, of course, it was a brilliant idea, and a great take on the theme. Very playful too. <br/> <br/>I haven't been able to complete yet, but I definitely will give the post-compo all the time it needs soon after LD is over. Congrats! |
| May 12 17:01:00 | 15h 40m | Tiny Monk | This game is awesome! Liked everything about it! Would have loved this on my SNES back in the day. :) |
| May 12 17:21:00 | 20m 00s | Wander | This game is not bad, it's rather brilliant. <br/> <br/>I think you kinda missed an opportunity here. If you abandon the notion that this is a bad game, completely embrace it for what it is, stick to the concept of the computer talking to you in the beginning, trying to bring all kinds of stuff to the experience such as imagination, music, etc. but without turning into a funny rant, this could go places. I'm 100% serious, I really had something click in my head when the music started. This could be a very cool commentary on games as a medium, and especially spectacle-oriented mainstream gaming. <br/> <br/>If you don't make a post-compo version, you're sincerely wasting a very cool idea, and I might just steal it at some point. |
| May 12 23:16:00 | 5h 55m | NanoQuest | Nice cellular shmup! |
| May 13 02:48:00 | 3h 32m | Tiny World! | Yo dawg I herd you like precision jumping. |
| May 13 19:42:00 | 16h 54m | Microcosm | Very cool entry! |
| May 13 19:49:00 | 7m 00s | Tiny World War | I think that adding a weapon is not a great idea for this game! You said you ran out of time and it came out like this. But if you ask me, this is how a lot of great original concepts come from. I think it's really neat. <br/> <br/>Very solid presentation too, by the way! |
| May 13 20:47:00 | 58m 00s | Dont Touch the Button | So delicious to play. My kind of game. :) |
| May 13 21:03:00 | 16m 00s | Enter The Mechanism | Really impressed with this. Very immersive and polished. |
| May 13 21:11:00 | 8m 00s | Superpixel | Good job! |
| May 13 21:48:00 | 37m 00s | Planet Life | Very unique game, I was quite pleasantly surprised. |
| May 13 22:22:00 | 34m 00s | shiprage | Fascinating gameplay. |
| May 13 22:35:00 | 13m 00s | Extensionism | Nice one! |
| May 13 23:51:00 | 1h 16m | Necro Gaia | Fantastic! |
| May 14 00:24:00 | 33m 00s | Stade 2 (Mr.Oizo) | Wow. |
| May 14 00:39:00 | 15m 00s | Tiny Failures | Beautiful! |
| May 14 00:41:00 | 2m 00s | MacroPong | I can't believe I only played this now! Great job, Crono! |
| May 14 00:46:00 | 5m 00s | Cereal Killer | Haha crazy awesome! |
| May 14 00:48:00 | 2m 00s | Expand Explore Expatiate | My jaw dropped when I realized it was a mecha. |
