Haha I love how they dance :D
A pretty hilarious idea but I couldn't find the boss at all. I ended up with an army of like 30 guys all dancing but never found anything to fight. The actual mechanic is cool but not executed perfectly, given that you can just hold down the D key the whole time and be invulnerable. But where is the boss?
Thanks for testing :)
The boss should be available straight ahead from the start position, but it is just a larger, red-headed, variant of the enemies.
I didn't have time to implement the "battery" feature and corresponding pickups, which would prevent the invulnerability. There were also supposed to be upgrades of the batterly life, music influence radius, walking speed, health etc. that would have made it a lot better.
Liked the simple retro look&feel :)
Is the front clipping plane a little far from the camera?
The boss disappeared, but it told me I died? For such a tiny world, it sure was hard to find him :P
Interesting idea!
Nice models with the primitives. my robots just shoot once, dontknow what happpend. nice game overall
I'd love to see this in a more finished state.
The visuals are quite lovely, and the dancing animation is direct path to joy.
The "generosity" on death is an amusing touch, too.
I am currently developing this game a bit more. I have added a link above to that version.
Nice concept but lacks balancing and polishing!
I like the idea and the wireframe graphics kinda work :) I couldn't get to fight though, hitting 'f' didn't seem to do anything. I could dance though... boy could I dance!
the post-compo version is so, so much better xD great graphics, great mechanics, the fighting really needs to be auto-aimed though, aiming was difficult and precise, mouse-based aiming would be unlikely to feel right with the keyboard-and-mouse controls, unless you grow an extra hand/change the controls so the keyboard stuff can be done with one hand, whichever's easiest
Well, it has a magical disco-ball. No other game can claim that.
Wow, very unique idea.
The idea is great! With some polish this could be a great game. Dance on!
It seems I have a performance issue when the robot is dancing: the image freezes, but I still can hear the big robot throwing… whatever is he throwing at me.
summaky: Is it the same problem with the improved version?
