Nice little game. I'm glad to see you'll continue it, it get a nice mood.

Nice little game. I'm glad to see you'll continue it, it get a nice mood.
Best game I played so far. It's brillant and fun as hell. Can't wait to try it out with a friend or two.
I played the two versions. Great game. I really loved it. I think some RPG elements could be awesome: using the potatoes to buy and improve stuff like the field of attraction of potatoes (sometimes I'm super close to them but it didn't pick them up, quite frustrating), shoot power, etc
It was way too buggy for me to finish it but I like the idea.
Beautiful ! I like the graphics and the music, really put me in the mood
I suck so hard at it :D
But it's a nice game you got there.
Everything's been said in the comments but I want to add one. I looove your game (and it's someone who usually don't like point'n'click who says that).
It takes some time to be used to the controls (at first the fact that I didn't stuck again walls bothered me but then I understood it was of great help). Other than that it's brillant !
Charming, beautiful, 5 stars all the way ;)
Clever, very minimalist, and incredibly addictive. Here's my stars ;)
Loved the ambiance, the mood and the music but couldn't figure out where to go after 3-4 screens, I'm not that good with point and click.
Nice game. I found it less frustrating than other games like that. Definitely a good thing ;)
Nice concept but the controls definitely feels wrong. Don't know if it's a bug or the same for everyone but I need to hold the key some time to move.
This game is more stressful than the last 4 hours of the jam :D
I couldn't finish it because I lack the time to do it right now but I'll definitely come back to it later. Awesome game, congratz !
Nice game. Very challenging (freaking hard ><) and I love your take on the theme.
Great game. Too frustrating for my little nerves but definitely good for anyone else ;)
Great game. I used to click all the time and usually skip by accident the end text that says if you win or lose. Except this little detail it a lot of fun.
Great game. I made 3 or 4 ends but I couldn't retry the game because "Begin" get me to the end I previously got so I had to restart the game each time and "S" didn't worked.
Nice work you've done here, I love the writing of this.
Love it, and the music is really nice. One new type of ennemy would be great.
So... frustrating... But I like it anyway
Beautiful and really charming. Good job !
Ridiculously awesome. the mechanic is quite unique, it's a ton of fun and I simply love that horse look :D
I first thought it would be relaxing... I was so wrong... This game made me nervous as hell and i surprised myself talking to these fishes "no no, don't ! noooo, you ruined it !".
Awesome game is awesome :)
Just a tiny suggestion (but it's really a matter of taste), make the fish hanging to the hook count once the timer is done.
Nice take on the theme and nice idea in general ;)
Great game ! I like the way I constantly went from "meh, how the hell I am suppose to do that?" to "Oh, in fact that was quite easy".
Nice work.
Great art style and music, the mood is simply excellent.
Loved the GameBoy feel of it, brings back a lot of memories :)
The boss fight was definitely a nice touch.
I have a dual-screen and the items popups shows on the right screen even if the game is on the left one. Made it nearly impossible to play for me (I could put the main window on the right screen but it will tire my neck quickly)
Awesome music, great art style and clever gameplay. Any way to get that music?
Thanks.
I'll try to build a Mac OS version and a Linux one too tomorrow. I can't build it to the web unfortunately
You can switch from Azerty to Qwerty with Shift(Left) + Alt(Left) ;)
I'm working on a web build. I found exactly what the problem is and will try to change that. No promises here.
I admit the controls are really weird, I'll change that after the Ludum Dare when I'll get more time to add gamepad support and keybinding.
Thanks for the feedbacks :)
Oh. Weird, it always worked on all my computer, maybe not on american ones :'(
I'll try to add a Qwerty mode tomorrow then (will start tonight but their's a lot of scripts to edit).
But here's the good news: I seem to have a web build working ! Maybe it will accept the switch between qwerty and azerty and in any case it should help Mac/Linux users before I made a build for them.
It's uploading on my shitty connexion right now and I want to extensively test it before releasing ;)
Ok, good news everyone ! I get a web version working (tried on Firefox and Chrome and it works perfectly (better on Chrome).
And the plus side, I added an option Qwerty/Azerty ! Hopefully I didn't forgot any script (don't think so). I need to upload the standalone and the web version, may take a while for the web version but the windows standalone will be here in a minute.
Thanks for the feedback ;)
I thought Azerty was the norm in europe but it's only in France, Belgium (where I live) and few other countries. I'll never again make a game without the option to switch it now :D
Thanks all, your comments make me very happy :)
@rogueNoodle: I built the project over another game I'm creating and intially wanted to change the police but I completely forgot to make so, I was also afraid that it would take too much time since I would have to check all the interface to see if the text wouldn't overlaps the interface boxes. But I agree this font is a little out of place ;)
@Super Hamster: Do you mean you begin in space? If so that's a bug, you should begin in a little shuttle (the one you see in the main menu) docked to the station. Then you can enter the station by the double door in the middle-up of the shuttle.
Yeah, the player directions was a hard choice. I wanted a Castle Crashers feel so I dropped the up and down directions that were intially in my scripts.
I don't regret this choice but once I'll improve the game, after the LD, I will rework the station design to avoid long vertical corridors.
Definitely a bug. Any details on how it did did happen? After using the ship console? Were you able to reenter the ship or did you just get "propulsed" out of it while walking against a wall?
Yeah, the resolution is a little weird because the game was absolutley not made for the web at first. It can't run in lower resolutions or the interface will overlaps.
But you can use ctrl+mouse wheel to resize the web page (and so the web player) without disturbing the interface.
Thanks DBRalir, that's what I love to read :D
Thanks for the feedback.
You can revive your buddy by dragging his corpse into a Rezotron-3000 and activate it. It's the transparent green tube that you can find at some places (one is at the very beginning of the game).
I'll look into the dialogue problem. I changed the exit key to "T" at the very last minute so I may have forgotten some dialogues (pressing enter should do the trick).
And I didn't use any 2D libraries except a custom script to place and move stuff more easily: http://i.imgur.com/QtJM0DN.png
I played on the web version and the mouse kept getting out of the window. Consider locking it inside the Unity caneva or change the controls so we don't have to click.
Otherwise it's a really great game, loved the ambiance and the graphical style.
I'm not a big fan of the controls (too sensitive and the grevity is really strong) but otherwise I liked it. Great work on the animations (clouds when you die, little details here and there, etc)
Nice game ! I'll retry it later with a friend but the solo is already good :)
I played with my girlfriend... my right hand ! It's difficult... The game looks good, too bad I don't have another player at disposition.
An option to change the keys would be nice, otherwise the game is insanely fun
I don't know what I just did but it sure was awesome !
Very addictive^^, and it fits the theme perfectly.
The only complain I have is that we can't inverse the y axis. Pressing down to go down in a flight game is very counter intuitive for me (and I guess for some other persons too).
The controls are a little weird, and damn, it's hard. But otherwise it's a fun game to play and the art (music + graphics) is fantastic !
The music is simply awesome.
I don't want to know how you got that idea, but it's brilliant !
It's unplayable in single player, I pass through walls, ground, etc. But I played on multiplayer by launching the game two times (client and server with 127.0.0.1 ip address) and it worked perfectly fine.
The game's pretty nice, I kinda love the graphics but couldn't play too much time because they burned my eye :D
Congrats :)
Splendid ! The mood was perfect (I must say I was a little scared :D) and it was really a blast to play. I hope you'll continue to work on this after the LD, the world needs more old-school FPS ;)
Funny game. Steve charmed me ;)
The controls are a little tedious (certain jumps are really frustrating) but it's a nice game. I loved the sounds :D
Really nice game. Loved the art style and the music
Ahah, weird game :D
Maybe some checkpoints would be neat
Definitely not my type of game, too nerve breaking. But the sounds are great and it really fits the theme. I would like to be more patient/skilled to heard how the game sounds at heigher level.
Awesome. This game's a blast. I like the symplicity of its core mechanics and the graphical style (the life indication is really clever)
I got one or two crashes (first time I picked up a rifle and one time I was simply shooting a green guy at level 1). And I had to stop my best run to this (the orange thing can't be killed):

I'll never be able to beat it since I suck at RTS but I liked it. You should add the fact that you can target a single ennemy with all your penguins in the key descriptions. Before knowing that I thought the ennemies pinguins were stronger than mine.
Nice game, but I kept getting stuck in a block before the second monster (the first block on a pillar).
Too bad you didn't finish, the concept looks really promising. Can't wait to see what you'll make with it ;)
Loooove it ! That just fucked up :D
Very impressive (and for the compo !). The interface is very tedious but the game itself is fun and the physics/controls works great.
The worst captain ever :D
Nice game !
Nice little game, really rough in gameplay but the art style is beautiful
This is simply awesome. You forgot to put AFK AI too :D
Wait... I saw some AFKs :D
Great game !
I don't know if you plan to improve it after the LD but it would be awesome. Let the player improve with the gold he earned after each level, differents levels, more sounds effects for the mobs,.... It would be so awesome !
It's one of the best entries I've played so far. Good job ;)
Plain awesome. I'm glad you won ;)
Charming little game. I was a little disappointed by the fact I cannot go explore further but otherwise it's nice ;)
