Interesting. I wish the clones did something gameplay-wise, but it piqued my interest pretty well. Amazed this was all done in HTML5.
Solid.
I love games that make me feel smart. High marks all around! This one is a gem.
Not a bad game. I like the rectangular prism visual style. It's got some fun moments, and I like the dash ability. I just wish there was more game here.
Needs much better feedback (some sort of sound when you get the right thing, ability to see where the worm is facing.) Also, why do I have to hit space over every item?
I wandered around for a few minutes, and couldn't figure out how to interact with anything but the well. A nice engine, but is there a game here?
Nice lighting. The controls are really awkward though. WASD to move would be way nicer. Also the color thing doesn't really add a lot.
Did you do the music yourself? If so, awesome! If not, you might want to be aware that you aren't allowed to use music you didn't do in compo games.
Fantastic! Stuck on level 12...
Brilliant! I love it. Very nontraditional but very cool.
Love the minimalist graphics and the polish on this one. Good work!
Interesting! A bit of a puzzle. I like it, even if it's a bit liberal with the theme (one thing changing into another thing is not evolution.)
Great use of theme! Is there an end?
Passage-cat.
Very Osmos, so I was happy to see you credit your inspiration where it was due. Fun!
Mostly luck-based? I'm not sure. Either way, I love the mood. Great graphics and audio, too.
@My Milked Eek: The aliens evolve based on which ones you allow to survive. I guess I didn't make that extremely clear. The upgrades are just a way to keep up with the evolution; the upgrades themselves aren't the evolution theme.
Thanks for playing!
I ... couldn't beat the first level. Which is a shame, cause I really want to see where you were going with this.
Seriously, dude? The goal of this game is to hook up with women you aren't interested in, to use them as tools to make the other ones jealous so you can date the one you *are* interested in? This isn't fun, it's sociopathic.
One thing that I've heard is that if you're developing your own game, you are probably very good at it. So levels that seem easy to you are actually probably medium-hard for people who have never played before. I would start the player off with incredibly simple levels and slowly ramp up the difficulty. Fun mechanic though!
Literally running around putting out fires. Wonderful :D
Sexual violence as a primary game mechanic? Played for laughs? This is juvenile, disgusting, and cruel.
Excellent stuff! Very polished. Visuals remind me of Rez. I didn't understand that I was supposed to hit the cubes at the end though.
Very clever and very well-executed. Wondering when it will get beaten.
The one-child policy is one of the most heinous human rights violations of the modern era. It is directly responsible for infanticide, forced abortion, child abandonment, and mandatory sterilizations. Yes, you can use games to talk about these tough issues, but this game just treats them as fodder for Three Stooges-esque slapstick jokes.
Chilling stuff, and one of the better Twine games I've played. Good writing, good use of the medium and a consistent way of delivering mechanics that makes it clear when you're taking an action and when you're just learning more information. Amazing work.
Fascinating mechanic :D I love games that explore the idea of scale.
I love subtle interpretations of the theme like this.
I died while trying to figure out the controls, multiple times. Quite a bit too hard.
Love the art style; controls are pretty buggy though.
Amazing work all around. My brain had trouble with the colors at first but it just seemed to "click" after a while. Well done.
Interesting - I thought I knew where this was going but I didn't. Neat idea.
Nice, clean and simple. A lot of fun to play!
Interesting mechanic! It would be nice if you could hover over a group of blocks to see how many are there. Often what I thought was the biggest group actually wasn't, which gave the game a bit of a trial-and-error feel.
Made me laugh. I like games that mess with the player in a way that makes them feel clever rather than stupid.
The level design basically guarantees you get killed by the third slime right away.
More levels and some simple polish and this would have been great. Why not theme it as miniature golf or trick pool shots instead of sniping? Bullets don't work like this.
"Look how stupid you are, player, for falling into traps you couldn't have possibly known existed!"
Hey, a LD game with a positive and serious message! That's really rare and commendable. I kind of wish it had been a bit more subtle, though - the game kind of shoves the conclusion in your face rather than lets you come to the realization on your own.
I like the jumping mechanic, too. Well done : )
If you use the arrow keys to jump up, you perform a shorter jump that isn't tall enough to clear most obstacles, and you can't beat level 1. Other than that, cool.
Fantastic art, crisp physics. Great work.
I like the alien pyramid thing. I wish it were my mail carrier in real life.
This was a fun concept, but I feel like the game threw me straight into "very hard" mode. A tutorial would have been very helpful, or some kind of strategy guide.
Not only does this game not fit the theme, it's also an implementation of an existing game *and* it doesn't even check to see if you've won or not. (I beat the game and nothing happened.) Also it's the same puzzle every time. What gives?
A 2d top-down cover shooter disguised as a debate game disguised as a doomsday simulator? High marks for humor : )
Fun controls! Wish I had an easier level to get good at them before getting surrounded by ninjas.
This is a lot of fun! Would be fun to hook up a Beatmania or DJ Hero turntable controller to this game and see how it plays with that. Very well polished.
Fun concept! I just wish the collision detection were better (many times I didn't understand why I died.)
Really, really fun. I just wish the penalty for death weren't so severe.
