| May 3 09:12:52 | Glade in the Sky | ♥ 2 | I found it really difficult to tell where my character was related to the platforms. Also the second puzzle can be completely bypassed by jumping the gap. Overall it's a great start for a game. | |
| May 3 09:16:15 | 3m 23s | 6 degrees of separation | ♥ 0 | I do like the idea of this game, but I think it needs some more mechanics to be fun; at least I didn't find a mechanism to "solve" it. |
| May 3 09:27:18 | 11m 03s | Thirst | ♥ 1 | This is a pretty neat perspective to use for a platformer, I also really like the random quotes at the start (especially "You have reached the end of your free trial membership...") My main complaint is that the jump is really floaty and a bit difficult to control. The music mostly works, but there are some issues and clicking/popping which isn't pleasant. It's not a very complex game but wouldn't be hard to expand to make a solid puzzle platformer. |
| May 3 09:31:04 | 3m 46s | Protozoan | ♥ 1 | Terrible repeating sound bug if you die with score 0 :) Was fun once I got the hang of it. On mouse/keyboard, it was difficult to juggle mouse / movement / powerups, probably with some practice it'd be more intuitive. Auto-powerups, or pickups for powerup might be a neat solution. |
| May 3 09:37:59 | 6m 55s | [Web] Rob Fisher | ♥ 2 | Nice concept and atmosphere. Equal parts fun and frustrating to play, The continue system is very welcome and I don't think I would have finished it otherwise. The pieces often don't stack the way I expect and slide off, and after continuing sometimes you must use the first piece that comes by in order to not drown. Also some times Mr. Fisher would fail to leap on top of apparently solidly affixed blocks and drown. So, minor technical glitches, but it is a really nice looking game and novel gameplay concept. The control scheme is simple, and that's good in this application; I'd like more control, but I don't want more complexity in the controls, so I think this is the right balance. (I'll continue to call it by its one true name: Evil tetris) (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - ~time 1:05:30 - You guys should provide some feedback to other games and get more visibility, this is a great little game) |
| May 3 09:44:09 | 6m 10s | Railroad to Hell | ♥ 3 | I like the truncated train, it's a great setting. But it's very difficult. I'm still not quite sure what the "1" in the bottom corner is. After playing a dozen times, I finally found around the right timing / inputs to actually kill the enemies and recover from the enemy stun. I'm not great at this kind of game and didn't really make it that far. My observation is that the attack rectangles for everything are just huge - your attack is really short, but if you hit it at the right time your attack precludes the enemy attacks. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - at 1:23:30) |
| May 3 09:49:57 | 5m 48s | Id's Journey | ♥ 1 | My experience on Windows 10 is that 32bit version doesn't run at all (crashes every time), but 64-bit launches without crashing for me about 1 in 5 times. Alt-tabbing out has a good chance of stopping mouse input from working. Pretty touchy. I managed to get to the candle and to the next platform but then alt-tabbed out. I like the way this game looks, but it's really hard to navigate. One big issue was jumping on the teapots was difficult to do reliably because the character would wildly overshoot. Noting for reference that my system is an i7 with Nvidia 780Ti gpu, as these platform issues might be related to gpu type. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - time 1:40:00) |
| May 3 09:58:07 | 8m 10s | Little Pluto | ♥ 0 | Neat idea - needs polish but I like the physics ideas in a sort of bullet hell collision avoidance game. Random generation is great for keeping things interesting, I think some of the random patterns are practically impassible though. After many attempts, I've made it to the super-shooty-rectangle at what might have been the end, but died :) It's a bit confusing that the game just progresses if you die, and it doesn't help that Pluto is really dark and hard to see much of the time. Took me some time to realize that the cubes don't actually kill you if you touch them. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - time 1:55:00) |
| May 3 10:04:45 | 6m 38s | TimeWars | ♥ 1 | Really fantastic atmosphere/music/environment. The intro was black for a long time for me before starting, not sure if that's a bug. It's pretty amusing to set up large armies and have them go wipe each other out. I doubt this was how it was meant to be played but it's pretty neat :) (Edit: Played this on stream, https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - Time 2:10:30) |
| May 3 10:08:23 | 3m 38s | Norit | ♥ 1 | I really like this game. The continue mechanic where you retry with all your points and tech makes it a lot of fun to progress, and by the time you get all the upgrades it's really satisfying to play. It would greatly benefit from more polish/juice, and more length/progression but it's quite nice as it is :) Really nice job. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - time 2:24:00 - You should really provide some feedback on other games to get more visibility, this game is worth sharing :) ) |
| May 3 10:13:06 | 4m 43s | Dinonaut: Defender of Celestial Dwarves | ♥ 2 | Quite enjoyable - I have to say getting two asteroids to collide for the first time was a great feeling, the aiming mechanism hinted nicely that it would be possible. I think as the speed goes up the game becomes unplayable due to lack of control, and that would be something interesting to try to solve. But even so playing through it was a great experience. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - Time 2:37:40) |
| May 3 10:15:24 | 2m 18s | 6-Sided Sojourn | ♥ 1 | Very cute and fun; Got bored around world 20 after figuring out the systems up to that point. I'd like to see the enemies have some initiative but I can understand why that wasn't done due to space/movement constraints. It's a really nice and novel concept. (Edit: Played on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139750250 - Time 2:45:00) |
| May 4 06:13:11 | 19h 57m | Plonat Atek | ♥ 0 | Really neat and original idea. The gameplay is pretty minimal, but I'd love to see this idea get developed further. |
| May 4 06:23:12 | 10m 01s | Slime Highways | ♥ 1 | Yeah, very nice aesthetic, I also like how the tiles animate, it's a pleasant subtle detail. Not much of a game here, but it's not too far off :) |
| May 4 06:29:09 | 5m 57s | WRAP | ♥ 1 | Some very clever puzzles with the wrapping mechanic - Though movement was a bit difficult (especially that early puzzle with the falling floors and jumping into a one-high gap). As has been said, great music/sound - and remarkably polished entry, very nice. |
| May 4 06:37:22 | 8m 13s | WHAT A SMALL WORLD! | ♥ 3 | That ending XD Great humor content. The mechanic of interactions unlocking new areas is a great way to scope progress here, would have been nice to better call attention to unlocked areas. There are some collision issues which stick out in a game about finding things that are active, but nothing too bad. Enjoyable to play, thanks. |
| May 4 23:14:57 | 16h 37m | Careful survival | ♥ 0 | I'm not quite sure what's going on with this game, it looks pretty intriguing though a bit more description would be nice. Not sure if it was just my experience, but I can't really read the text in the top corner, and I haven't found any way to interact with the environment meaningfully. |
| May 4 23:22:51 | 7m 54s | The Sharkinator | ♥ 1 | Same as above, I tried to run it but couldn't; I also confirmed from paths in the .exe that the folder should be "res", but the program starts and immediately exits. Digging through what the process is doing (via sysinternals procmon) shows the clue that the exe tries to open "TheSharkinator.l4j.ini" in the same directory as the exe, it's possible this file is necessary and missing, as it never attempts to load any of the resources in any path. |
| May 6 07:58:42 | 32h 35m | Nanoscale Marauder | ♥ 0 | (Re: Game Jam version; I haven't followed up on the post-jam version yet) Really shiny graphics, this game looks great - Unfortunately I didn't realize that until well after the first run because the UI is so initially complex and overwhelming. Background audio is pretty great but the move command SFX quickly gets pretty grating. I really dislike the abrupt stop when reaching the end of a move command, and that enemies spawn literally on top of you. The weapon/defense variety is welcome and overall this seems like a pretty solid game that just needs some serious user interaction polish/refinement. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 51:30 |
| May 6 08:12:47 | 14m 05s | Solbound | ♥ 0 | I think that I have never come across a more epic drama involving the celestial bodies of our solar system... Well, not that it's the sort of thing I go looking for :) Fascinating idea for a setting, really funny in execution, though I have no idea if I'm missing something, I made it behind the sun before I gave up looking for closure. The music is nice and relaxing and atmospheric, though there is an abrupt transition at one point. I played this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 1:03:30 |
| May 6 08:31:30 | 18m 43s | Rockpolis: Town survival | ♥ 1 | I'm not a big card game player, but I spent some time to understand the systems in play here and was able to pretty quickly understand the tradeoffs, and go on to win a medium game pretty comfortably. There is one thing I didn't quickly understand - the bottom blue plus-ish shape... That seems to be a limitation on the number of blue cards you can play per turn, and the tutorial didn't really mention this except in passing that there was a limit - this led to some unexpected behavior (which I initially thought was bugs). Overall, great work, pretty solid game, looks really nice. Would have loved to see a bit more graphical representation of the magnitude of the threat, rather than just a number in the top corner :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 1:18:45 |
| May 6 08:58:15 | 26m 45s | PlanetDefense | ♥ 1 | My first play through I just happened to be unlucky to pick 3 asteroids which did almost nothing to mitigate the enemies :) Starting a second game, it didn't seem to reset the difficulty, but I managed to find the two asteroids that win the game (top two). I also ran into the slowdown later in the game, and some usability issues because of the alert boxes to confirm upgrades (In chrome). Overall good work, There are a lot of great suggestions and observations in this thread already, I'll add mine: I'd like to be able to rotate the turrets manually, and to see the path that the enemies take before the wave starts - or for the path to be more random. I played this game on stream at: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 1:36:30 |
| May 10 11:26:23 | 98h 28m | Survival on Smol Island | ♥ 1 | This is a remarkably complex game given the time requirements, and while it's a little rough, I can see a pretty clear and complete vision for a game implemented here, nice work. Because the AI cheats (I'm pretty sure, it seems to have unlimited ammo) it's really tough to get very far, probably constraining enemy ammo would make this more beatable/enjoyable. I played this game on stream at: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - time 1:45:10 |
| May 10 11:34:22 | 7m 59s | Food Fight | ♥ 0 | Really nice work, the gameplay feels good and the character/enemy animations are smooth and feel polished. Leaderboard is a nice touch. The core gameplay loop is pretty entertaining for a while, though I'll repeat others complaints about the placement of the falling items being terribly hard to predict. I'd like to see something like a transparent red area highlighting what's going to kill you. I got stuck on the edge of the table a few times, a clearer transition for falling off would be welcome. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 1:57:10 |
| May 10 11:41:52 | 7m 30s | Tiny Hadron Collider | ♥ 1 | Simple, but nice looking game, sound design makes for a really nice atmosphere. I'll echo what others have said, the control system took me a while to figure out, but once I did it wasn't too hard to proceed normally. I would love to see the gameplay expanded on, it already feels pretty good to play but gets boring pretty quickly. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - Time 2:19:45 |
| May 10 11:55:06 | 13m 14s | Planetary Remains | ♥ 1 | The core mechanic is great, very difficult to master. This is a kind of skill game that I suspect you could grind at and improve in for a very long time. The randomness may actually be a detriment to that, it might be nice to have a mode where you get exactly the same pattern so you could better compare skill between players and optimize strategies for a specific run. The physics-based graphics work great for this game and it's quite pleasing to look at. I'm a little surprised the menu music didn't carry over into the game though. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139973818 - time 2:33:10 |
| May 10 12:16:00 | 20m 54s | Travelling Merchant | ♥ 0 | I managed to collect all the artifacts, fortunately the trading system is very forgiving. It didn't take very long to figure out how the systems worked and balance the local economies - then it was just a matter of finding the other cities on the map and realizing that the goal was the artifacts. IMO the music was a bad idea in this form, but SFX are pretty appropriate. Simple game, but nicely done. I played this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Time 0:11:45 |
| May 10 12:26:39 | 10m 39s | Get In The Robot | ♥ 0 | @RetroSpecter, I have a crash report if you want it, didn't have a hard lock, just an application crash. I was able to make it to the last robot without issues on the second try though. It's a neat idea and a great start for some kind of goal-focused gameplay. I very much like the objects flipping all over the place when they're run over, and the graphics are quite good. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 0:24:20 |
| May 11 03:55:44 | 15h 29m | Humanity Simulator | ♥ 1 | Pretty solid game! I most like that the storms seem to target you heavily as the toxicity goes up, and the black clouds over dense factories impeding your vision, while frustrating, I think are actually a good design element. Lots of really small quality of life improvements could be made, most importantly I think: Magnetic attraction for money within a range, and better indication of how toxic a factory is (is there any point to building the more expensive ones?) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 0:32:40 |
| May 11 04:08:21 | 12m 37s | A Very Good Boy in a Very Tiny World | ♥ 0 | This game looks nice, and would probably be pretty fun to play with some improved controls, As it is, it's pretty difficult to get anywhere. Looks pretty while struggling with it though :) Nice work, next time I suggest focusing on making the controls feel good and natural to use. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 0:41:40 |
| May 11 04:16:09 | 7m 48s | Be Like Bee | ♥ 0 | I really like your map design, despite being slightly textured apparently random (mostly) rectangular solids, it's varied and interesting and complex, and seems like it was cheap to make - was it randomly generated? The controls are nice and work well, the only downside is there isn't a lot to do, but really nice work overall :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 0:48:05 |
| May 11 09:19:58 | 5h 03m | Zika Battle | ♥ 0 | Nice start to a game, I do really like the explosion effect. I won't duplicate the points made already, but I suspect you have learned a bunch about building games quickly and will do a lot better next time :) |
| May 11 09:30:44 | 10m 46s | Plantbox | ♥ 0 | It's a neat looking game, and I think it has a lot of potential to be a fun game; I also had trouble with the winning conditions, though everything seemed to work okay in the sandbox, so I suspect there's some bug. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 0:56:20 |
| May 11 09:38:19 | 7m 35s | House 0.1.0(top down shooter) | ♥ 1 | +1 on this game has a hotline miami vibe; I had a lot of fun playing around with even though it seems to be really buggy. I don't have much to critique, the level looks pretty nice, controls worked exactly as I expected, just shooting enemies never quite seemed to work right :) I played this on stream, so you can see what I ran into - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Starting at 1:10:45 |
| May 12 06:53:12 | 21h 14m | World Tours | ♥ 0 | Cool little basic platformer; Looks like you had plans to do more and ran out of time. Nice experience and pretty good control, just would like to see a bit more gameplay :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Time 1:19:00 |
| May 12 07:01:27 | 8m 15s | Gardzen | ♥ 0 | Was a lot of fun to play with and very relaxing ambient sounds. I figured out most of the mechanics before I noticed/understood the rule editor; generating random rule sets is neat but sometimes leads to infinite chasing patterns and sound overload :) I would love to see this kind of mechanic joined with more complex gameplay though I'm not quite sure what that would look like just yet. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 1:22:30 |
| May 12 20:33:11 | 13h 31m | Galactiball | ♥ 0 | Yeah, not at all bad for 15 hours :) It's very simple and I'd love to see more varied gameplay, but you've built a complete and solid experience and that's worth a lot. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 1:33:00 |
| May 13 23:10:00 | 26h 36m | Last Bloom | ♥ 1 | Really nice work, rather well polished for such a quick project. Solid controls and graphics and a lot of nice little touches (platform tilting is especially good) I found it too easy to fall off when frantically jumping around to knock the slimes off (best score was just ascending and waiting for the levels to weigh down) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 1:36:35 |
| May 13 23:16:02 | 6m 02s | Jig Jog | ♥ 1 | Nice idea and well executed. Was a lot of fun to play around with. Difficult but seemed fair. Made it to 87.2 after spending way too much time with it :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 1:43:40 |
| May 13 23:29:42 | 13m 40s | Natantes Paradisum | ♥ 0 | Very interesting indeed. Neat ideas in this entry, but needs some more balance for sure - it ultimately became frustrating to deal with the ever recurring pollution, the repetitive music did not help with the feeling of frustration :). I guess people like farms the most? But I could never get my overall happiness stat up that high. I feel it could become a pretty interesting game with some more polish and some "shielding" mechanics for pollution. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Time 1:52:40 |
| May 13 23:41:30 | 11m 48s | No One's Planet | ♥ 3 | Really cool to see a terminal game in LD! I eventually made it look somewhat correct using UTF-8 mode in PUTTY, but maybe that wasn't quite right either, It mostly worked. I also had a creature outside of the navigable area (In Dimension 3) so I was unable to proceed. Would have been neat to have multi-player features on such a game, but nice work. I played this on stream at: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Starting at about 2:15:45 |
| May 13 23:57:55 | 16m 25s | Soviet Space Program | ♥ 1 | Great ideas- I also love the bullet based movement. Would appreciate a key to grab onto the surface I'm on while I'm trying to destroy stuff though. The world is pretty big and I was impressed with the scale of the boss I ran into before dying (eaten by a red bubble). Overall nice work, this is a pretty impressive LD game and was pretty fun to play I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 2:24:10 |
| May 14 00:06:22 | 8m 27s | Pixlets | ♥ 1 | Damn you, I couldn't stop without unlocking and trying out all the eggs :) Really cute, the variety of expressions, sizes and animations made it far too easy to watch for far too long. Music and sound effects work really well with it too. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 2:40:35 |
| May 14 00:19:52 | 13m 30s | rovR | ♥ 2 | This seems like a really fuzzy puzzle game - I'm not sure if there are actually intended solutions, only a few of the levels feel like solutions were designed into the puzzles. Still, mostly entertaining to solve the problems, except where it's particularly troublesome. I really like the continuity where the ending planet for one level is the starting planet for the next, and the visuals and story ideas are pretty entertaining as well. In particular the representation of the planets is pretty stellar I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - time 3:04:10 |
| May 14 00:59:29 | 39m 37s | Small World: Green Valley | ♥ 0 | +1, same feedback as above. Got 2 coins and land, not sure if I can do anything else. |
| May 14 01:08:45 | 9m 16s | Cellular Annihilation | ♥ 0 | Interesting ideas, pretty nice graphics but the gameplay needs work. One huge problem is the app does not capture the mouse like most FPSes do - so running it in windowed mode / with multiple monitors is really challenging. I do really like the movement pattern of the enemy missiles - next time I'd suggest investing just a bit of time into some visual feedback that you were hit, and that you hit something; a little goes a long way to making actions in your game feel more meaningful, and not surprising your player in a bad way :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - Time 0:11:50 |
| May 14 01:21:28 | 12m 43s | Too Many Weird Aliens | ♥ 0 | Nice game - good mix of enemies and firing patterns, and I agree with others that the floaty controls contribute to the difficulty in a good way. I was a bit surprised when I passed through the earth rather than crashing into it though - missed opportunity :) I also found some of the enemies shooting themselves, apparently happens if I am approaching them too fast. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - Time 0:20:15 |
| May 14 01:36:52 | 15m 24s | Star-Crossed | ♥ 1 | Was fun to play, but I'll repeat, it's very hard, didn't end up making it too far. Nice work though. I played (badly) on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 0:28:00 |
| May 14 01:49:48 | 12m 56s | Ecosysmall | ♥ 0 | Hey guys, Neat little game. I really like the concept - the mechanics need some more complexity to prevent the randomness issues you mentioned :) Please note this game has UI cut off if not launched using 16:9 aspect ratio. I noticed the "next level" button doesn't work on level 4, and the remaining two levels don't seem to have the win conditions implemented. Nobody seems to know about your game though; I'd suggest playing some other games and posting comments on them, this will improve your visibility/coolness. Also I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - starting at 0:46:05 |
| May 14 02:02:17 | 12m 29s | Planetary Defense System Omega | ♥ 0 | Really nice game, just could do without the thousand or two clicks on the sun :D Got wrecked the first time around when the mothership showed up, then decided to invest in sun upgrades and upgraded autoturrets and tore everything apart (eventually left around wave 42). A mechanic that would be nice to add is if your turrets could be damaged/destroyed I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - Time 1:03:55 |
| May 14 02:20:28 | 18m 11s | Tiny World Defense | ♥ 1 | Really impressive work, there's a lot to this game, and it looks and feels quite polished. Was a lot of fun to play. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - Time 1:33:30 |
| May 15 22:47:21 | 44h 26m | Nocturne | ♥ 0 | I don't even know what to say about this one. Well, besides the invisible walls, what the game wanted me to do seemed pretty obvious/intuitive, so good use of established patterns to suggest what's interactive. Also it looks very nice. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 1:40:40 |
| May 15 22:54:51 | 7m 30s | This Plague of Mine | ♥ 1 | I still have no idea how the game decides if I get more humans to play with. I found a few strategies for keeping the game going, but it's quite difficult to do anything deliberately. Looks nice and I'm sure you had fun with the sound :) Biggest improvement I think would be some sort of UI to inform you about whether more humans will be arriving.. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 1:51:00 |
| May 15 23:04:51 | 10m 00s | Supermarket Sneak | ♥ 2 | Wow, just wow. Really well done graphics, sound, environment - incredibly funny. Gameplay needs some work though imo, collision exists where it seems like it shouldn't - making it hard to get around, and the other people's movement feels really random and unfair. Writing is just over the top, very nicely done. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 2:00:10 |
| May 15 23:13:09 | 8m 18s | Protector | ♥ 1 | Nice ideas, gameplay wasn't obvious/intuitive, but once I reread the description it made more sense. I like the planet preview, nice touch. I also love the enormous asteroids after a while, it feels really great to play with that kind of scale, though then you get stuck with the spectacle creep if you want the game to go further. Would be neat to see how this plays with the jetpack mechanic developed further. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - 2:08:05 |
| May 15 23:19:21 | 6m 12s | Aces High | ♥ 0 | I really like the look, and was fun to play around with. It's a little hard to control, and super easy to run into other planes. | May 15 23:29:34 | 10m 13s | SCATTER | ♥ 0 | I got the general idea of this game pretty quickly, but the UI does a very poor job of communicating what's going on. I'd like to see a color/texture change based on the current population. I never would have guessed that the other planets would have tiny population limits. Background music is quite nice, but the transfer sound effect gets repetitive pretty quickly. If you want to make the gameplay more frantic, you may need to limit how quickly people can be moved around in the early game, where as long as you're willing to click a lot you can basically keep the home planet subdued almost indefinitely (it seems) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 2:22:15 |
| May 16 09:11:47 | 9h 42m | Amadeus | ♥ 0 | Nice start, definitely needs more gameplay. The ideas remind me of some older console games whose names I forget :) The level is definitely graphically complex, and you may have spent too much time on graphics, it's an easy trap to fall into. Side note is I instinctively clicked on the wall to try to move to that point, and that doesn't seem to work. |
| May 16 09:19:14 | 7m 27s | A Giant's Life | ♥ 1 | Cute, kudos on building a gameboy game; nice work. Let's see something more complex next time :) |
| May 16 09:25:55 | 6m 41s | My Little Forest | ♥ 0 | By some mysterious force, the mere presence of barrels that fell from the sky leads to spontaneous combustion of trees in the vicinity :) It's too easy to survive indefinitely by just carefully guarding a small group of trees, but there are some neat ideas here. Lots of directions to take this gameplay; speed upgrades? Fire retardant materials to spray on the trees? automated helpers? Some kind of objective? Still, cool game. | May 16 09:50:20 | 24m 25s | Trapped Inside | ♥ 0 | Nice work, and entertaining little story. I agree its a bit slow and I found the keys to be pretty confusing. I really like the environmental music. Would like to see word wrapping in the text boxes, and I'm not entirely sure if the ending was correct, but I look forward to seeing what you come up with next time :) I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 2:54:25 |
| May 16 10:08:09 | 17m 49s | TinyPlanets | ♥ 1 | Really nice game - I spent quite some time figuring out the game building an empire across a few planets, then issued an attack and the game crashed :) ah well, it was pretty fun to make it to that point. This could be a pretty interesting game if developed further. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - time 3:14:20 |

| May 17 00:08:47 | 10m 04s | Terraform | ♥ 1 | Excellent work on the world and great music/sound. I was expecting some use for the buildings or some objective / win condition, but still, excellent work for the LD jam. | May 17 00:14:55 | 6m 08s | Biology world | ♥ 1 | Neat little game, pretty hard to play (with keyboard) because movement speed is really high. Graphics and music are pretty great, just needs some tweaking and polish. I played it on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 0:25:15 |
| May 17 00:24:07 | 9m 12s | Little Sprout Garden | ♥ 0 | Really nice looking game, Was fun to play around with, but I ultimately lost interest after exploring all the mechanics available. | May 17 00:31:30 | 7m 23s | Totally Tiny Battle Simulator | ♥ 0 | I couldn't figure out how to play this game, but it looks pretty interesting. | May 17 00:33:55 | 2m 25s | Wheat Inn | ♥ 0 | Still 404. Based on what I've seen in comments from other games, this may mean the game is not set to public on itch.io. |
| May 17 00:41:11 | 7m 16s | A SMALL 「WORLD」 | ♥ 0 | Clever ending, gameplay was okay but pretty repetitive though thankfully short. Art is very well done, nice work. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 0:44:35 |
| May 17 00:55:11 | 14m 00s | Space Turtle | ♥ 1 | Nice looking game, good atmosphere, was smooth and fun to play, but just a little hard to see. I'll echo other comments that the gameplay is pretty basic, but great job. Also, security is important, even for leaderboards :P I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 0:50:35 |
| May 17 01:04:55 | 9m 44s | Money Voyage | ♥ 0 | I guess it's like a clicker game without the clicking? Screenshot (full of coins) not representative of actual gameplay :P I would have liked to see some gameplay mechanism related to moving off the edge of the screen, or something to use the coins on other than upgrades. | May 17 01:09:20 | 4m 25s | Curses and Coconuts | ♥ 1 | Nice simple game with really satisfying gameplay, there's not a lot to it but this game is unexpectedly rewarding to play - could be a great core for a more complex game. | May 17 01:15:58 | 6m 38s | Lil' Hunt | ♥ 1 | Neat idea, nice work. I do like the cow spinning around when you hit some geometry just right. It's very difficult to judge depth though. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 1:14:00 |
| May 17 01:21:42 | 5m 44s | Save Our Tiny Planet | ♥ 0 | Nice looking game; really difficult to follow though. The random generation feels unfair, there's a lot of variation between runs and it gets so fast that I can barely see the gap on the right end of the screen before I have to react to it. Coupled with the insane speed you move vertically it feels a bit out of control, maybe that's good for this kind of game :) dunno. | May 17 01:30:52 | 9m 10s | MyLittleTinyWorld - Khaker'Game | ♥ 1 | I'm really impressed with the detail put into the animation and the intro sequence. I was unable to determine if there was more than one outcome though, I suspect not. It's a neat idea but note that these kinds of potentially branching stories may require a lot of content, and content is super expensive for an LD game. Still, great attempt :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 1:29:45 |
| May 17 01:35:40 | 4m 48s | Spike Spire | ♥ 1 | Yeah, really hard. Checkpoints would have kept my interest, but redoing the whole first section repeatedly quickly got tiring. | May 17 02:42:25 | 6m 18s | Lonely Spaceman | ♥ 0 | Nice gameplay mechanic, the one button input + gravity around the planet is a neat idea. Just have to establish a nice orbit and hope nothing randomly spawns to collide with you. A bit more predictability in the incoming asteroids would be nice, maybe something like an indicator on the edge of the screen a few seconds before the asteroid starts to come in, so you have a chance to respond to things. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 1:54:10 |
| May 17 02:52:56 | 10m 31s | Destruction Zone | ♥ 1 | Nice work - I very much like the scaling up of your weapon capabilities with powerups, and that the game isn't too hard, but still requires a lot of skill. The warning tiles disappearing without fanfare was a missed opportunity though :) Overall really good job. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 1:58:40 |
| May 17 03:02:55 | 9m 59s | Smallest World | ♥ 0 | Hm, there are some good ideas here. The controls are pretty rough though, it's difficult to predict how my input is going to affect the orbit. IMO this could be pretty fun if it moved a bit faster (could increase the size of your planet faster), and maybe had multiple stages (progressing to eating solar systems, etc). Overall nice work I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 2:04:50 |
| May 17 03:09:28 | 6m 33s | World Conqueror: Rule the Seas | ♥ 1 | Very cool game, my kingdom for autofire though. It seems too hard, but it was a lot of fun to play. I like the aesthetic a lot, but hold click to fire + faster or somehow better turning would have improved the experience. A way to repair would also be great. | May 17 03:22:16 | 12m 48s | THE HUNT | ♥ 0 | Definitely has potential, I think it's too hard. Aesthetic is nice, controls are pretty solid, but I kept running out of ammo. If I kept going and figured out all the patterns before firing arbitrarily maybe I could have got further :) Nice job, and I'm interested to see what you come up with next time. | May 18 09:08:33 | 29h 46m | Keep'em Small | ♥ 1 | High score of 710; I'm not entirely sure which planet needs focus so that is mostly luck and a lot of clicking :) I do really like your graphics and music though. It might be neat to add more planets over time as a way of ramping the difficulty.. Beyond that I'd just love to see some obvious animation indicating when planets are growing / need attention. | May 18 09:28:37 | 15m 06s | It's square to be a cube | ♥ 1 | This is a really great game, was fun to play and held my attention despite the controls often being awkward. Wrapping levels and the expanding/contracting segments were a great puzzle mechanic, a bit linear but novel and very interesting. I love that the player is a square/cube that rotates as it should, but this both provides novel mechanics (jumping at the right time) and negatives (many intuitive movements are punished, difficulty with consistent motion). Overall it's just really clever and experimental and great to see :) One way to make the puzzles more non-linear would be to have a "expand/contract" tile that alternately exposes and removes its associated map column. Another neat idea that would make this kind of puzzle more complex would be adding/removing columns. I played this game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - time 0:10:45 |
| May 18 09:41:02 | 12m 25s | Inside the Blockhead | ♥ 0 | I managed to beat it; really nice and original game. Level design was quite good, it does a good job of getting you familiar with the level by forcing you to make small logical leaps about how the system works - very good work with that. I encountered some issues with jumping on top of a colored tile block, but otherwise worked great. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - time 0:27:20 |
| May 18 09:48:30 | 7m 28s | B-M0X | ♥ 0 | Really nice little game, I do really like the angry planet/entity in the top corner as your power goes down. | May 19 03:37:21 | 17h 48m | Pong of Gods | ♥ 1 | Just wow, there is quite a lot going on in this game, it's difficult to keep up with it all. Took me some time to realize that the missiles were not something the paddle should avoid, they're for targeting planets. The AI is also somewhat scarily good at this. Really cool ideas here, I think some refinement on the controls would make it more playable, especially the buying upgrades part was pretty awkward. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - Time 0:45:05 |
| May 19 03:45:12 | 7m 51s | Claustrophobe | ♥ 0 | This was a really fantastic game, extremely difficult but I was able to complete it. The core idea is pretty awesome IMO, and the exposition in the negative space is a really nice touch. As if you needed more things to be distracted by :D This entry would benefit a lot from a little music/sound, but even so it was a very engaging experience (sufficiently so for me to complete it despite trying one of the levels probably close to a hundred times). Very nice work. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - at time 0:52:40 (if you want to follow my discovery process) It's a bit on the late side but if you want a rating, you can still probably drum up some interest/ratings if you were to rate some other games. It's unfortunate more people haven't seen this game. |
| May 19 03:59:45 | 14m 33s | Shrinker | ♥ 0 | Really nice art and very interesting idea for a game. Combat needs a lot of work though. It works in the first panel, but is basically impossible after that point. I also didn't figure out how to make it past the third panel. Nice work, could be a lot of fun if developed further :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - time 1:23:15 |
| May 19 04:07:47 | 8m 02s | Just You And Your Porch | ♥ 1 | Yeah, this is an almost stressful zen game :) I didn't realize it was possible. There was no possibility for stable calm, always something needs to be adjusted. ALWAYS. I did manage to max out the green bar eventually, just a matter of keeping everything going as much as possible. Not my cup of tea I guess :P I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - time 1:30:10 |
| May 19 04:15:54 | 8m 07s | Twelve Little Lights | ♥ 0 | I think there are some really neat ideas underlying this game, but the lack of visibility makes it ridiculously difficult to figure out how it works. I suspect I didn't end up discovering all the tiles and couldn't finish the puzzle - but I really like the idea. Music is awesome, some of my favorite in LD38, shame it stops instead of looping :) I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/142659988 - time 1:37:00 |
| May 19 04:22:16 | 6m 22s | Island Escape | ♥ 0 | I collected 100 wood and stone and decided it was impossible to escape the island :) It was pretty challenging to make progress as well as stay fed and hydrated, some pretty good mechanics here, but I'd love to have more clarity on what you need to proceed. | May 19 09:27:39 | 7m 05s | Lonely Rover | ♥ 0 | Very cool - I enjoyed playing this, and the level design, graphics, sound design are all quite good, impressive. The grabbing mechanic is a bit awkward but that's reasonable I think. Handles on everything are a great visual cue for interactability. Movement is a little slow for my taste. | May 19 09:38:05 | 10m 26s | Fatigue | ♥ 0 | I didn't manage to finish, got a dozen or so items out though, neat idea, very interesting premise, maybe there's another hook that could make the gameplay more interesting, but I can't think of one offhand. | May 19 09:47:52 | 9m 47s | Planet Orb Trials - Time Attack | ♥ 0 | Neat little game - the first level was quite good. Initially I was confused and didn't realize you needed to go back to the portal. The second level it sort of fell apart for me though as I couldn't figure out how to consistently use the jump boost to get where I needed to. Overall nice work. You can see exactly what I mean as I streamed your game - see https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - time 0:30:00 |
| May 19 09:54:21 | 6m 29s | The Little World | ♥ 1 | I was disappointed when frantically mixing up the tools did not appear to cause some kind of immediate chaos. | May 19 10:02:43 | 8m 22s | Bad Panda 2 | ♥ 1 | Very nice game, was fun despite the large collision box, once I got used to it I managed to get through the whole thing. End challenge is pretty mean :) Nice work. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - time 0:46:20 |
| May 19 10:11:23 | 8m 40s | Crumpets and Cannons | ♥ 1 | Charming; there aren't many other words for this kind of thing :) Took me a little while to figure out how to play, and I take serious issue with gameplay having you click exactly in the area that gets the "proceeed" button when the game sequence is over. Great work though - it's got a very nice aesthetic to it, though the game length is maybe a bit on the short side. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - time 0:55:00 |
| May 19 10:15:53 | 4m 30s | GlobeTrotter | ♥ 0 | Really nice idea; I very much enjoyed the puzzles though they did get a bit repetitive, mainly due to the controls being a little confusing and having rough edges (accidentally dropping an item -> have to move to pick it up again, also the movement controls are a bit floaty leading to imprecise placement). The core gameplay concept is great though, this could drive a full game easily :) Great work. I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - time 0:59:05 |
| May 19 10:22:27 | 6m 34s | Separation | ♥ 0 | Unfortunately I really have no idea what to do in this game; is there more to it than just asking people what they think about various objects? Looks interesting though, I'm curious to see what you had planned for it. Also there seems to be no way to dismiss the UI? | May 19 10:37:24 | 14m 57s | Angry Worlds | ♥ 0 | Hi MeronSoda, thanks for visiting the stream, I did eventually get around to playing your game at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - time 1:23:05 (Just now catching up on posting ratings and comments) I found the platforming to be pretty challenging and the yellow enemies are pretty tricky to mitigate - though I'm not exactly a platforming expert by any means. The controls are pretty solid and precise but I feel the levels may over-rely on the double-jump, and as the up button this got pretty tiring, I ended up using one hand on the arrow keys and the other hand controlling the jump button and that felt more natural. The music feels a bit out of place (in the first level, anyway) |
| May 19 10:51:19 | 13m 55s | Nucleu | ♥ 0 | This is one of the best examples of how to make something really compelling in an LD - There are very few, very simple elements, but they work together to make something that's impressively cohesive and well polished. | May 19 11:01:27 | 10m 08s | Pity About Earth... | ♥ 2 | just wow, playing this game was actually seriously exciting - after a while the asteroid chains come in so unexpectedly and rapidly it's unfair but it's still more just exciting than punishing. I think that is probably a result of the sound effects and weight as many other people have noted. Anyway great work, this is among the more fun games I've played this LD :) Also thanks for visiting my stream (@mwcz), I did eventually get around to playing this on stream - Twitch vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/143780402 - starting at time 1:46:45 |

However, it's really lacking audio feedback for projectiles impacting against the enemy, or the player being hit (though on reviewing my footage it seems like one hit kills me), but feedback would make the game more satisfying imo. Once a few of the drones are after you, it seems like running around is necessary, as all of their projectiles will basically always miss you. Anyway nice work, the game is nice to look at and was interesting to play. |
| May 19 11:35:33 | 17m 38s | Feed The Anthill | ♥ 1 | @stanov, thanks for stopping by my stream. This is a pretty neat game, I particularly liked the ant trail movement and the ants gathering around the items you were carrying back. | May 19 18:42:35 | 7h 07m | Planetary Garden | ♥ 0 | Fancy seeing you here :) Nice little game, it's like a clicker game but with a lot less clicking, which I appreciate. | May 19 18:53:57 | 11m 22s | Let's Be Happy in Our Small World | ♥ 1 | Really nice game - simple but pretty refined. I'm a big fan of filtering the music in the selection screen. I would love to see some persistent UI with the score and stage number. After a while it starts to get pretty tough to tell people apart as you get gloves, and people with just slightly different pants colors, but it doesn't seem unfair, just difficult. All the false flags of someone jumping in front of a vase and waving, or something, are brilliant. The level I finially missed, I wasn't really able to see the character clearly because of everything else going on, and the ending is pretty amazing too. | May 19 19:10:45 | 16m 48s | A Growing Adventure | ♥ 1 | Oh man, I got sucked into this one and played for around 2 hours on stream uncovering basically the entire map :) Great underlying ideas. I don't recommend watching all of the stream but I'll summarize points that haven't already been made. Ghosts can't be killed without serious atk+, Better indication that you're poisoned would be nice. Poison can stack :(. The spear knights have a bug, they seem to be 2x2, but visually look 1x1, and they're placed in such a way that the coin they drop sometimes overwrites a wall tile and makes it walkable (@gustavo-christino, I think this is why some walls are walkable). The enemies not really attacking you until you attack is a nice feature, the archers are one of my least favorite enemies :) It's pretty amazing the variety in enemies you have produced in this game, yeah the mechanics haven't really changed but things still feel varied just with different drops and characteristics. I was a little disappointed that killing the wizard in the castle didn't trigger some kind of ending, but overall really nice work.
