I like the idea of defending a small world, tower defense style, but I think the implementation of your game is a bit lacking.

Good: - The general idea of your game- I like tower defense games

Bad / To Improve: - Music. I muted this almost straightaway, because the music is too repetitive. - Turrets. Have different versions of turrets, with different abilities. - Graphics. A bit of variety in graphics goes a long way.

I wasn't sure if rotating the planet did anything. Also the game has performance problems when you get all of the towers built and upgraded. Still you kept me playing for that long, so good job!

@SaxOps1 Thanks for the comment! I'll definitely improve this after the JAM. Thanks for the suggestion.

@PeachTreeeOath Thanks for the words, yeah I noticed the performance problems too, but that was due to the fact that I spent the first day completely to build a Unity style Scene graph system. The performance hit was because I forgot to remove dead entities from the scene, just I disabled them. That's because I commented out the remove call and forgot to uncomment it, maybe sleep would have solved it.

hey nice idea! i like the way you make your defense choices and then the waves of enemies come and you have to deal with the decisions youve made and watch how they play out. that being said, i think that the game would have been more fun if the player had more decisions besides the turret. i also think some variety in the enemy approach would have improved gameplay. i was not a huge fan of the music or graphics, but that is definitely not the most important thing in the context of a game jam. i also experienced some performance problems like other commenters have mentioned when all of the turrets were bought and upgraded. i liked that you can click to pan around the screen, it is a good setup but as there is only enough content to fill the port on the screen, it is a bit useless at the moment. i can definitely see a lot of potential in this game, you could do a lot with it should you decide to continue working on it post-jam.

My first play through I just happened to be unlucky to pick 3 asteroids which did almost nothing to mitigate the enemies :)

Starting a second game, it didn't seem to reset the difficulty, but I managed to find the two asteroids that win the game (top two). I also ran into the slowdown later in the game, and some usability issues because of the alert boxes to confirm upgrades (In chrome).

Overall good work, There are a lot of great suggestions and observations in this thread already, I'll add mine: I'd like to be able to rotate the turrets manually, and to see the path that the enemies take before the wave starts - or for the path to be more random.
