I tried playing on windows, but the game won't open at all... :( the window flashes for a millisecond and then closes.

@CyberStarLight Huh ... That is annoying ... I have to develop an error log. Do you have java 7 ? Or maybe you have an Intel HD graphics 3000 GPU, LWJGL do not work on these cards.
To me this is a super simple walk/jumping game. The graphics and music is fun and it fits the game idea well. It is in many cases very difficult to avoid the things that kills the player. But overall is this a fine little LD game.
Great job! Although the graphics and controls are not over the top, it was just fun to play and you inserted a very humorous ending  Furthermore for only 16h this is pretty impressing. Good job and thank you :)
Perfect game over voice !
The hitboxs are not really precise, but the game is fun to play, good job !
I like the idea. Makes you learn from your mistakes while still being quite difficult. Nice work.
This may seem odd to point out.. but even though the character is a stick figure. I really like the animations! haha. nice job!
Nice voice-overs and nice concept. I had fun even though it was short. 16 hours? Not bad!
Well...I can't speak french. Was that french? Anyway, for the game: I liked that your inprint remained on the floor whereever you died and all the checkpoints were pretty useful because fire/snakes ect. just come a little too fast. I like the consistency of the artstyle, but the music was a little annoying for me^^ But for 16 hours this is truely great :)
Awesome concept, I think there is great potential to tell a story like this. Using maybe a little larger levels with tighter controls and more platformer-like abilities you could display a buildings history over the years, or some important location where you visit all the important events happening at exactly that spot, changing the environment with them...
As improvement, try to fix some of the background glitching, just the clouds flickering here and there and maybe some camera bugs where it lags behind the player for a few frames. Also the overall feel of the character could be improved, especially the jump. Try to give the player more vertical speed instead of jump height, I feel like I just barely made the leap over the fire, even though I had a lot of height, I just almost came up short every time. Lastly, the hitbox on the fire was just a little too large, so maybe try matching the hitbox closer to the visuals.
Anyway, in 16 hours this is quite impressive. I feel like this kind of game really has the potential to turn into something great  Nice work!!
This was a lot of fun - and very funny! Love how the bodies pile up on tricky bits (maybe because I'm so bad at jumping!) The fire seemed to get wider and I couldn't make it over! I guess it did warn me about cartoon violence before I downloaded it! Really enjoyed playing it and love the jaunty music too! Very nice game
Ouille ouille ouille ! #FrenchHumorFTW
Simple and short classic platformer. Collision detection was a bit wacky, and when dying game seemed to respawn me back by specific distance - meaning at least once I respawned back right into fire and died on spot. Oi oi oi:P
This was fun, liked the music and the character animnation feels right. Too bad it isn't a little bit longer. Good job!

Over all a nice fun little game. I appreciated the gameplay, graphical art style, and animations. It was simple, but effective, although more advanced techniques which you could learn could be implemented at some point. Plus, the audio was really nice.
This doesn't run for me. When I try to start the .exe file I just get an error message: "A Java Exception has occurred." :(
I couldn't get it to run. Possibly an issue with my JRE.
****What I Liked:****
* The music was really good! * I liked the simple type of gameplay that you created. It was short and easy, but I enjoyed it. * Despite being similar, the different obstacles were different enough to be enjoyable.
****Minor Nitpicks:****
* Being able to build up momentum would be nice. Sometimes the collision would be raised above the ground, and it was scary to have to jump and then press right. Dying didn't always seem fair, and I think a more momentum based system could allow for jumping from a distance.
****Great job and thanks!****
Small but cute! Good concept that would be nice made into a longer game.
Wooooo only in 16 hours ? That is awesome. On next entry you dont have to be very fast, remember quality is over quantity, but I like your work.
I think that for the time you invested working on the project, the result is amazing, nice graphics and sounds, the mechanics are very simple but fun. Good job!
Good job, 16 hours is precious little time, but I'm still going to give you my opinion. The controls were a little buggy. Every once in a while they would stop working, and the collision, as others have said, were not perfect. That said, I loved the concept, and it wasn't too hard, though I felt a little cheated by being forced to die at the end.
Cool little basic platformer; Looks like you had plans to do more and ran out of time. Nice experience and pretty good control, just would like to see a bit more gameplay :)
I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Time 1:19:00
WTF this Dorian ending xD Took me off guard for a second here ahaha As for the game well.. it's just a simple platformer, nothing to say really. We don't really know what is happening or what is the story behind it so it's hard to figure out what were your intentions. I can catch a brief glimpse of a humoristic game with inevitable deaths though, definitely the direction I see for your entry.
Cute game! The "MS Paint-styled" graphics are fun, too bad it ended so soon. :)
I liked the collision with the ground, it seems to follow the visuals well.
If you made this alone in 16 hours, you could have put it in the Compo. If you plan on coming to the Jam again in the future, you can take a little more time to insert more content into the game!
Good job, and thank you for rating my Little Scout! :D
