Nice – love the calm atmosphere!

The athmosphere woukd be better if you'd added some background music. Overall, calming but not much to do Like it (:

If you add a nice BGM, the mood would improve a lot. Not much in the gameplay department, was it was nice.

Very simplistic but polished game. Nothing to complain about here.

I always appreciate finding some different (ie. not a platformer) at LD, and this certainly qualifies ;) I did manage to win, but had to go back and re-read the directions after tinkering with it for a bit. Having recently played Gods Among Us, I really, really love being able to see those resource bars!

Relaxing little game, actually made a cup of earl grey afterwards :)

physcokillermonkey 2017-05-01 16:50

Simple little game, would be better to have some instructions in-game so that you don't have to keep flicking back and forth between the game and this page.

A bit straightforward, but relaxing, enjoyable, and unique. Thanks!

I think this is one of those really interesting simulator/screen saver game. Weirdly, I felt like I could smell the tea just from the sound effect. I was pretty immersed in the game. I think it achieves what the game sets out to do which is to simulate sitting in a fly infested garden. But I have some nitpick on the UI: progress bar stemming from the middle and filling to the sides was a little confusing to me, and the black pie progress bar was hard to see on top of the black repellant burner. Overall, very nice little game.

Simple concept, well executed. I'm not sure how this game entirely follows the theme... but good idea!

nervous-composers 2017-05-01 19:09

I actually found the game slightly challenging rather than calming, trying to fill up my satisfaction bar while driving away the flies, keeping the repellent topped up, keeping the teapot full, etc.. I beat the game, it's not too hard, really neat concept!

samusoidal 2017-05-01 22:44

Well done! Completely captures the atmosphere of drinking tea near any kind of plant... Those flies!

coleslaughter 2017-05-02 03:50

Whew, enjoying a nice up of tea on a peaceful quiet evening is a lot more stressful than I imagined. :P I was frantically clicking around, refilling the repellent, drinking the tea, refilling the tea, and clicking the lights on and off desperately trying to reach "maximum satisfaction." It was actually pretty engaging!

Although around halfway through, I discovered that I could just keep the lights on all the time, and as long as I kept the repellent lit whenever it ran out, I could out-pace the mosquitoes with the OP tea, haha. It seemed like all of the timers had the same cooldown, which made them pretty easy to manage once I got the hang of it. Perhaps having certain thing refill slower than others could add to the challenge? I pretty much never ran out of tea because refilling the bar completely took pretty much the same amount of time as drinking a cup. ^.^"

I love this! I'm a huge tea drinker and I have to say, each sip takes you into your own small world so you got the theme bang on! ;) Very polished & the difficulty level is great, engaging without being too hard.

This game was good. I liked the simple graphics and lighting and the innovation behind this game. The idea behind the game is pretty funny and I admit, I hate flies. Also, the sound effects were kind of funny. The gameplay mechanics were simple but fun. In expanding this game, you can make animations and add more sound effects for each kind of action (such as drinking) and randomly select from one of the sound effects so that there is variation (so that each sip of drinking tea does not sound exactly the same). This technique can be used for realism. Good job making this game!

This had a nice play pace. It's zen without being something you can ignore for any length of time. I really liked it, it was simple and engaging. I wound up posting a playthrough video if you are interested: https://youtu.be/OYuA1I8-kc8

Thanks so much for the video @dopple-danger !!

Very goood! I love it! 5 stars!

sgstair 2017-05-19 04:07

Yeah, this is an almost stressful zen game :) I didn't realize it was possible. There was no possibility for stable calm, always something needs to be adjusted. ALWAYS. I did manage to max out the green bar eventually, just a matter of keeping everything going as much as possible. Not my cup of tea I guess :P
