This was a good concept! In my eyes the biggest issue is that monkeys seem to be able to eat fish faster than I can get them from the river. Maybe make fishing faster or stealing slower? Theres also the control/map issues others have mentioned, but the fish thing is way more game breaking. You should consider polishing it a bit more and putting a post jam version somewhere. This is a pretty chill game, not a lot of tension. I found that as long as you avoid the giant ants (beetles? after skimming other comments) it's fairly forgiving. I never quite figured out how ti interpret the left half of the top UI bar though.

I really like this game. The character design is adorable. The piranha plant hydra was really hard though, I wasn't able to get past it. Maybe making the timing on the leaf projectiles less random would allow players to wait for a reliable gap to slip under the beast? Same issue with the rain, it was very random and could be either very hard or very easy.

I really liked the tone of the game, and the text that appears t the bottom of the screen. The shooting was really slow which made it kind of hard, but looking at other comments it might have worked better if I just held down.
