Hey there, so I thought this game was fun, I felt like the difficulty went from really easy to really hard, there was even one point when there was no way I could have dodged part of the meteor. I feel like it could benefit from starting slower, and getting faster over time, but at a slow-ish rate. you could also pepper in some stray piece of the asteroid during the big open parts just to throw off the player and add some variety. I really liked this game and I think you did a really good job!

@thecrancher Thank you for the feedback! Other players have expressed to be these same concerns and I have now updated to game to address many of them. The player controls are now tighter allowing for more precise movements and faster reactions, I have adjusted the code which is used for the random procedural generation of the levels to further prevent impossible scenarios and finally, I have added in scaling player speed which ramps up as the game progresses. I have chosen to make the speed increase rather rapid to ensure that there is not much "down time" at the beginning of the game and to maintain the difficult which I believe is an important aspect of the gameplay. If you have time to test the game again I would love to hear what you think about the changes!

I played this on Livestream but GameMaker 2 seems to be blocking it from being seen. It is just a huge white screen. Not your fault. Just bringing it up. I have that here with my audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srBde18ASdY

My big pet peeve was the control scheme. W-S is very difficult on my hand and I had to splay my elbow out to use it. Otherwise a very solid infinite game and I had fun.

I think the decision to speed up the game too early is hurting the play-ability for starting players. You may want to revisit it.

@occultone Thank you for the feedback! The game was created in Game Maker Studio 1.4 so it may have some incompatibilities with 2.0. One of the features I have planned is the option for players to choose their own keybindings. Besides that, I will continue tweaking the startup speed to spread out the increase over a longer period of time.

I like the way the caves look and the parralax background. The speed of movement was too much for me and gave me motion sickness, so I'd like to see that slowed down, maybe with the player moved further to the right to compensate.

Nice looking game; really difficult to follow though. The random generation feels unfair, there's a lot of variation between runs and it gets so fast that I can barely see the gap on the right end of the screen before I have to react to it. Coupled with the insane speed you move vertically it feels a bit out of control, maybe that's good for this kind of game :) dunno.

I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - time 1:22:25
