Yep, Rachmaninov Prelude op.3 2 cis-moll was used like a background for "podcast"... Although I'm not happy with final result - waaaaaaay bad quality, a lot of stops in speech. It was hard especially in spot of talking not native for me English, but I've made that)
If you made it to black sceen, asking "Are you alone now?" - it's good end) Being alone in front of TV (just like at 5th screenshot) - that's the bad end I think.
Podcast also contain sort of "what to do" solution for good ending, but I'm really not happy with it - I've run out of time to make something more solid...
Have no idea what went wrong... I just upload folder, copy public link - and get 404( Sorry, guys, really sorry
They would, but next time, for now it's too late) Here's base text for record (I was improvising a bit every attempt):
-------------------------------------------------
Recording Red podcast number... WHAT? Fuck!
Got fucked by time stealers!
Damn, wasn't planning to die today...
I've got to find some time..somehow.. Should walk around, searching for some work
Well, at least I've got nothing to loose - being alone for a long time...
Fucking people going crazy... All over this place, all over the world! They appear, they grow, and then they just... dissapear!
And no "living" inside, most of them are just "going to live" sometime
That's Pretty sad guys... Poor gray crowd - gray clothes, gray faces and gray thoughts...
Sometimes it seems to me, just seems to me... that I'm the only one who's capable of doing... whatever. I seriously got to drink something in beautiful place...
But hapiness - it's so clear and simple, that it turns to be stupid - it isn't in world reactions, it's in your own way to push yourself beyond the limits, overstep the boundaries!
They.. they just don't want to blame themselves! they're afraid of anything! Afraid of failing, afraid of winning, afraid of even fucking living! PEOPLE! What's the point?! Why are you living then? Why are you walking through crowd alone, why do you do that, WHY?
You're just another dumb fuck... You're going to say "NOOOAAAAUUU!" like roaring bear attracting someone who'll make him feel his own testies,
but you are ALREADY realizing why that thought came to your tiny jellous brain... Yeah, just because you are dumb fuck.
Do you know what it is like - live every second like it's the last one? Do you know how I feel now, running for life? You're getting softer and softer, you may think that your pike is behind - ITS NOT! Do what you was grown for, give yourself challenge of fucking living!
Or is it that hard for you, little listener?)
I know it is hard. I know you can't do it. I forgive you...
Podcast end.

Got working WebBuild, gonna update post right now!
Damn, no edit anymore :D
Here's link to web build:
http://ize-g0re.ucoz.ru/WebPlayer/WebPlayer.html
Yes, player character was saying podcast, and yes again, I'm sorry for my English spelling :D
And thank you for your comment!
P.S.
I'm going to do MindSpace game in future (in fact, I'm going it at very present moment, meaning release it in future), you could find it on TIGSource in Devlogs section...
Beat... B rounded by squared brakets is supposed to remind you which key to press :)
> controls didn't feel too good to me.
Well, honestly - I screwed up this point :D I was confident that I could write good run/wallrun universal formula "by memory", but thruth is - equation should be waaaay more complicated and couldn't be done properly in LD deadline (by me at least, and you should left some time for the rest of whole game)
I think I should stick to simple "constant walking" engine (instead on physics-based) and gave more time to crowd, story and environment... But that's my first LD, hey! :)
> surreal. melike.
Thank you, stranger! It's always sooooo nice to read cheering comments!
Quite close to my work!)

I wish I had better hardware... 3 FPS after first "hugs" and I leave... Although tension was growing. It's sad(
I like this intro. Wish to see a full game.
Oh, hell, yes, this is nice! I enjoyed every second I was playing it :D
I like it a lot! Lovely art, lovely sound and GODDAMNGOOD controls!
Any comments on what to pick and where to place it, please?
Awesome. Great mood, great fun to play. Held me for quite some time!
I specifically like "slaves" resource :D
Yay, that was fun!
I found a "cheat" - there's a point on the screen where you should aim and click endlessly - and you won't get any troubles. That was weird, but acceptable)
Overall game is good - it's fun, funny and has tons of mood! Now I want you to make another game with that style)
I do agree that it could be improoved, but to do so you got to improove every single piece of it, because for now it feels soooo complete.
Next time I'll make a descent one :D Thanks for feedback!
Have you tried to build Converter?
Select vertices (2), look at help (h) and place them (RMB) as shown on picture.
Then put come vertices in the converter (place them between it's pillars, as quad and tris are placed on 2nd screenshot) - and it will convert them into new resources!
Then you'll be able to build batteries, and if you'll kill some gridiots and collect byte packs - even turret statues and save point!
Thanks you A LOT for your feedback, Jedi!)
You're completely right about controls and stuff, and maaaaaybe I'll make a post-compo version (God, Cube World is inspiring)
I know it's too late, but here's an explaination on shooting:
1. It works when you select 2nd item
AND
2. You have to hear sounds. You can't shoot when it's silent, so you have to build converter to be able to shoot)
I should make it more obvious, somehow... Maybe a hint system if player tries to shoot, but fails.
P.S. Now I'm gonna play YOUR game! Beware! :D
@all: thank you :)
Netmute: I'll try to make a mac os build, but I have no mac to test it if it works...
Sampyxis: Think about minecraft crafting. Now imagine, that you could place two ingridients at one slot. Now think, that your crafting grid is floor. Tada! (Hold H for help in game)
Music plays when you build objects, for that you have to "craft" them on the floor.
Uhm... Well, it's not well-balanced :D So I suppose killing is really hard. Had no time to tune it right, sorry.
Thank you all for kind words, I think I'll make a post-compo build once I'm done with my main game (MindSpace) and then decide if it worth full-size attention :)
This was really nice experience, though quite short :D
PTSnoop, you're a monster. I like it. All of that's great. Won 4 to 0 by 4th turn :D
I'm sold. ROCK SOLID.
Should've called it "Floor is lava" :D
All-5. Rock solid.
Great job, rock-solid game. Though short :)
Nicely done, gameplay is smooth :) Would be better if you added more variety to it, like differently moving enemies (spirals/snake-style)
Good job! Balance needs some fine-tuning IMO, but it's playable even as it is :)
Dat upgrade sound effect...
Mood is really strong, also like styled graphics :) Couldn't find a button for a light, so my drill went dry :D
Yay, recursive gaming! :D
Can't rate, only 64-bit binaries supplied (I'm on 32-bit system) :(
Excellent job :) Liked the concept, execution is great as well :)
Very neat and clean :)
Humor and mood - that's when I need 6 stars rating :D
Controls made my life a little bit difficult, because of the camera position it was a little bit hard to guess where Ray is going.
If I were to describe this game with one word, that would be "Funk".
Liked it :) Though balance is a little bit too harsh to my taste... I didn't got the surface twist at first, but then it felt really neat. It's a bit of a shame that surface's impact on gameplay isn't that big :(
Can't really say much apart from the fact that I had great fun while playing :) Good job!
Liked the joke :D
Things I suggest: scale down map size, 4-6 times in both dimensions
Maybe consider narrow maps (like 10x50 tiles)
A for effort, execution needs a bit of practice :)
Good job on game's mood :) You tricked me :)
Also, I found a bug: http://prntscr.com/3e5qnx
This is great :) I'd suggest that you show what post-its actually do before level is started.
Was glitchy and itchy as hell for me :( But got me excited anyway :D
These are fun indeed :D Beautifully crafted, really fluid.
I completely agree with Jerick :)
That is a nice little game :) I liked the twist on this gameplay with sensitivity changes, really added more life and juice to it :)
I'd suggest you make yourself a pack of standard things to "juice up" games, such as screen shake and others for the next LD.
Well done!
Fantastic :) I giggled on "this is embarassing" :D
Lice and neat :)
Hmmm, is there a way to pack python sources into binary for windows? Would make playing it an awful lot easier :(
Menu is really nice :) Haven't got a patience to look for chests... Would help if sub were to auto level-off (i.e. keep horizon)
Unfortunately, perfomance of your entry is very low on my machine :( So, can't rate...
Had more fun with it than I care to admit :D
Couldn't run because MSVCP120.dll is missing. I suggest you include it with your binaries :)
Great twist on theme (and platformers), also like that you went for the secret theme :)
Your penguins are so much better than mine :D Seriously though, this is a VERY solid game! There's a seam strat: be careful where you shoot your enemies, make a big hole in the middle and just juke orcas and bombs into falling through those. Easiest 250 points of my life :D
One thing I'd alter would be restart screen, it breaks the flow a little bit.
This game is lovely! Watched it on stream, played myself - a fun little story and a fun experience
Please note that there's a bug in animation playback; that is known, I'll try to workout a fix for it :) Cheers!
MarkoPoloDev, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there absolutely are tons of things that will improve this game :) As far as strategy is concerned, I envisioned the balance would be that splitting ice allows you to dispatch of several monsters in one go, but sacrifices your real estate and (possibly) some penguins. But I guess that needs tuning the exact rate at which the monsters come
Thanks for the feedback, guys!
*The enemies (and the player model) are sometimes hidden beneath the iceberg somehow.*
Yeah, I took a wrong turn in development and went with a more-complex-than-needed code for collisions, should've just went with hard positioning above the ground :D Lesson learned, will rework in a post-compo version
*It would also be super cool if you could fullscreen the game, or generally see more of the world at a time!*
This one I am not so sure about.. The decision to clamp the viewing range was intentional, the thinking here was to make you run around the iceberg on a patrol for monsters. I also wanted to make a camera adapt to player's facing direction, so maybe with that added it'll not feel quite as restrictive :)
There's work to be done on bringing feedback about player actions to the player, definitely ^^
Animations bug is fixed, yay!
In this game your greatest enemy is not the crowd itself, its their effect on the camera! Camera tries really hard not to get obscured, and their presence on your tail makes it fail. Miserably. But! If you manage to make yourself an almost top-down view you can juke those guys forever and ever, and it's a pretty engaging game to try and break things as you run by them with shapes on your tail, careful not to get caught on rubble and surrounded by the guys wanting to kick your ass :D
I really, really like both the rake sound and the music :) Man, you rocked those! Also very lovely leaves physics, just wish the incoming wave didn't brought so much lag :D
On the tutorial, one time in LD I just made a static text in the corner of the screen that listed the controls, it worked pretty well! And it's not time consuming, so a tip for you for your future Ludum Daaaare endeavours!
