Please note that there's a bug in animation playback; that is known, I'll try to workout a fix for it :) Cheers!

Saved four Penguins, killed nine monsters, cut an iceberg in half! Love the art feel, love the idea.

There may be some room for improvement in giving the player information; there's a bit of delay for both the iceberg cutting and hitting monsters. Having the delay is fine, but it would be nice to have some indicator showing exactly how much longer I need to charge my sword attack.

I'm also not sure about what the best strategy is for protecting penguins - I can't tell if there's a difference between splitting the iceberg and hitting monsters as far as the final score goes. It also might be that I'm just bad at this game :P

The iceberg skirts look great, btw :D

MarkoPoloDev, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there absolutely are tons of things that will improve this game :) As far as strategy is concerned, I envisioned the balance would be that splitting ice allows you to dispatch of several monsters in one go, but sacrifices your real estate and (possibly) some penguins. But I guess that needs tuning the exact rate at which the monsters come

Neat idea, I found attacking the monsters quite confusing, it seemed a little uncertain whether an attack was going to kill an enemy or not. Also sometimes when I cut icebergs the penguins would run and jump onto the wrong piece at the last moment, drifting off into the ocean! The enemies (and the player model) are sometimes hidden beneath the iceberg somehow. It would also be super cool if you could fullscreen the game, or generally see more of the world at a time!

Still, all that said, cool game! The sounds are good and the principle is good. I also like the penguins :3

Very good connection to the theme, and an idea I've never seen before! I like the calming background music as well.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

*The enemies (and the player model) are sometimes hidden beneath the iceberg somehow.*

Yeah, I took a wrong turn in development and went with a more-complex-than-needed code for collisions, should've just went with hard positioning above the ground :D Lesson learned, will rework in a post-compo version

*It would also be super cool if you could fullscreen the game, or generally see more of the world at a time!*

This one I am not so sure about.. The decision to clamp the viewing range was intentional, the thinking here was to make you run around the iceberg on a patrol for monsters. I also wanted to make a camera adapt to player's facing direction, so maybe with that added it'll not feel quite as restrictive :)

There's work to be done on bringing feedback about player actions to the player, definitely ^^

Come on it's really good entry for compo. You have interesting mechanics with breaking the iceberg. Good entry!

Animations bug is fixed, yay!

The visuals are very interesting and the music is nice. I couldn't really understand what my sword was doing most of the time. Also, this might be the first actual Linux build of a Unity game I have played so far (all the others being webgl), so thanks!

The collisions are a bit weird, i went into the water and then back to the iceberg and i could only see the head of the penguin. Also happened with the enemies, they would sometimes pop from below the ice, which made it harder. On the other side, loved the music and the iceberg-breaking mechanic, it was very interesting. I think it's impressive you made this by your own in 48h.

Good job!
