LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrifarm by martincohen 2018-12-05T04:21:05Z

Absolutely love it! It's extremely polished, one of the most polished ones I've seen yet. There could've been a better explanation for what exactly to do in the game but it was fun figuring it out. I think you should really invest some time into making it available on the web or for mac though. Your game deserves to have a larger audience!

For the Team! by Ale 2018-12-05T00:35:10Z

Good overall. Has a few bugs, as pointed out already, and could be overall more polished. But other than that, very well done! Congrats on finishing it!

Free-Bug by egos 2018-12-05T01:53:49Z

Very interesting concept! It's surprising how much more there is to it than there seems. My high score was 30 which I think is low. The game needs polishing (tutorials, menus, audio, etc.) but the mechanic is unique. Well done!

Dog Days by ruthiepee 2018-12-05T00:31:45Z

Nice job! The gameplay could've have had some more unique mechanics but other than that, well done!

bouncy arts by wowa 2018-12-04T23:11:30Z

Very nice game and quite polished. You honestly should make this into a complete game. Do consider it!

Awkward situation or Vegan Fox should catch chickens otherwise he will be caught by kovareka 2018-12-04T21:40:54Z

Very nice game overall. Some minor glitches where sometimes things get stuck on walls but very fun. I agree with @yopox that a dash would've made sense because dodging enemies was quite difficult.

A Sworded Tale by Snowdrama 2018-12-06T01:42:43Z

What a courageous attempt! This huge undertaking must have taken so much time. Very well done! Unfortunately I was on a keyboard so that was a bit annoying but besides that I don't have too much to complain about.

Party Card Game by red 2018-12-06T01:30:47Z

I think the rules could've definitely been made more clear. I spent 5 happy minutes just clicking away without knowing what I was doing, but it was still interesting. The art is very nice. Overall, good job!

ISHI - Eternal Companion by Maruki 2018-12-05T01:17:49Z

Very interesting game. Well done!

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-06T01:11:47Z

Overall very nice. The mood was good and the graphics and audio fit together quite nicely. I think perhaps more mechanics could've been added so that it's not just hitting the arrow keys over and over again. But besides that, can't complain about much more, good job!

Claude Van Clamme Presents: Lambs to the Slaughter Temple of Gods Edition by soldierbear 2018-12-04T23:00:48Z

For some reason UI kept getting stuck on my screen. Other than that, good job!

Bloop Bloop! by Meenners 2018-12-05T06:55:28Z

Interesting concept! It wasn't too difficult to figure out the mechanics although a quick tutorial would've been appreciated. Overall, good game!

BloodTrail by kruemelkeksfan 2018-12-05T01:11:36Z

Interesting idea! Very ambitious undertaking, I'm sure it would've turned out amazing had the game jam been a little longer. But good job! Graphics are quite nice.

Sacrifice in Space by Marc Grabow 2018-12-05T06:58:42Z

Very well done! The audio is nice and the theme was implemented well. It was quite fun to play, good job!

Demon Rising by GerardB 2018-12-06T01:26:35Z

I absolutely loved this game. Everything was very nice about it. The one and only thing I can complain about is the pushing mechanism. I think that some other way of getting the dead bodies to the circle could've been used that's less annoying. But besides that, it was amazing. Good job!

He Has Hostages by Joseph Manley 2018-12-04T03:15:18Z

A great game overall! Perhaps leaving the methods UI on a little longer but it's on this page anyways so oh well. Great job! Love the art!

Not-So-Nicer-Dicer by sadsmile 2018-12-06T01:52:03Z

Very nice idea! The execution was wonderful and I love the pixel art. I don't have anything to complain about for this game. Well done!

Crimson Chaos by frostByte4k 2018-12-05T04:43:00Z

A very nice game overall, well done! Besides some polishing of the mechanics and perhaps some more fitting UI, the game is great!

Agent of Sacrifice by relampmarquin 2018-12-05T04:35:32Z

The game's graphics and polish are incredible. However, I would suggest making it more obvious what you can interact with. Sometimes when you click on things that should be able to be interacted with it doesn't work. But overall, an incredible game that was fun to play. Good job!

Chopping Block by speakertone 2018-12-06T01:03:44Z

Overall good job! Very interesting puzzle ideas and it was fun to play. Glad you actually included some instructions, a lot of games here have been lacking clear goals and tutorials. Well done!

Domino Dash by ditzel 2018-12-05T19:06:55Z

A tutorial in game would've been appreciated although by now I'm sure most people check description for them so it's fine. Good game overall, well done! would've liked to see some more polished navigation but besides that everything was nice.

Gold Digger by SpaceMonkey 2018-12-04T21:37:13Z

Good job overall. Some minor issues that I experienced like money becoming negative? But besides that it was quite nice.

Fritten Madness Extreme - Dungeon Edition by FredR121 2018-12-04T05:09:42Z

Very nice game! A very quick intro in the game might have helped but overall nicely done! A very nice platformer with an interesting concept.

Sacrifice Them by velvetlobster 2018-12-06T01:05:56Z

Overall good game. I loved the graphics and audio. However, it could use some more polishing and perhaps more explanation. There were some small glitches but well done!

Throw them down by gankei 2018-12-06T01:13:31Z

Overall, well done! The game was a little bit short but the graphics were nice. The screaming could've been toned down a little bit but the other audio was nice. Good job!

AkimBear by ecmjohnson 2018-12-05T01:13:39Z

Very well done! Polished and fun to play. Hard to believe it was made in just 72 hours. Congratulations for such a strong entry!

Checkpoint by JLV 2018-12-06T01:33:45Z

This game definitely has potential. I liked it quite a lot. Good job! The pixel art was lovely and I enjoyed playing it.

Book of Crab by Andreas Roschal 2018-12-06T01:59:15Z

An amazing game! It was a lot of fun to play and the graphics are nice. I don't have much to complain about. Good job!

Goats and Gods by Joe Zabriskie 2018-12-04T06:03:16Z

Nice game! Quite hard though haha I kept dying.

Fire Swept by Eric Smith 2018-12-04T22:41:32Z

Nice game! Graphics and audio were nice but a tutorial would've definitely been appreciated.

Fight Kult by TalesOfPixelia 2018-12-06T01:17:32Z

Ambitious undertaking! Overall, very nice game. I would've liked to see some more instructions as the game was a little bit confusing. But besides that, well done!

Sven by Donitz 2018-12-06T01:09:04Z

Loved the graphics, audio, and storytelling. This game absolutely killed it for me. Amazing job! I think the x control could've been stressed a bit more and the web version had flickering, don't know if that's an issue for all versions. But besides that, I have nothing complain about. Well done!

LD43 Journey by WegPast 2018-12-05T00:33:41Z

Very well done! Nicely polished and interesting idea. The art and audio are especially impressive, if those are original then incredible work!

Be The Bridge by Codesity 2018-12-06T01:37:36Z

A very interesting idea! Obviously the game needs some more polish as there are several glitches and bugs but besides that it was quite fun to play. Good job!

Oblatio by Trusty 2018-12-06T01:55:05Z

It was a very interesting game but I was quite surprised by the exploding rabbit at the end. The game could've used some more polishing but besides that, well done!

Everest by Snow Punch Studios 2018-12-04T05:58:49Z

The game was a little bit confusing. A little more guidance in it would've been appreciated but good job!

The Treachery by Tosunami 2018-12-05T04:15:09Z

A very ambitious undertaking! I think you could've spent some more time polishing and making health more clear instead of creating more levels but it was very good overall. Well done! It was quite fun to play.

Slash Rush by Delhaize 2018-12-05T01:26:27Z

Well done! Everything is very polished. Good luck on your mobile release!

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T05:51:35Z

@frosty Thanks for the feedback! It's possible but I think I made it a bit too hard to get the solution. I won't spoil it for anyone else though.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T06:00:24Z

@mertios Unfortunately I don't have a WebGL version sorry. And since the time for submissions is up I can't make one.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T06:00:55Z

@svntax Thanks! That's really weird. If both died the level should just reset. I'll take a look. Thanks for trying the game out though!

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T06:13:19Z

@justcamh Thank you for all the feedback! I'm glad someone managed to finish it, I was a bit worried the difficulty was too high. I also had more trouble on the second to last level when testing, I probably should have swapped them but I was furiously working out bugs at the end. I also wish I could've had more time to add more levels, since this was my first game jam I didn't organize my time very well and I only devoted the last day for level creation, debugging, and publishing. That was a huge mistake and I will definitely learn from that in my next game jam!

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T19:22:47Z

@mertios I'm entirely new to game jams in general, I'm not sure. Is it allowed to create a web version after the submission time period?

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T19:23:02Z

@elipson @deadpotato Thanks! :)

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T22:33:48Z

@clerg0 Thanks! But I'm pretty sure you can just press r to restart a level. There's no need to relaunch

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-04T22:54:23Z

@salierus Thanks! And yeah the floor detection was originally a bug that has to do with the way I implemented it, but then decided to leave it in as a "feature" that makes it more difficult.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T00:16:27Z

@tiar Thanks for taking the time to play the game! I just finished a speedrun of my game for a little fun. I'll post it and link it here as a walkthrough of sorts.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T04:23:06Z

@coda-highland Thanks! But what exactly do you mean by the up arrow? The controls are WASD so assuming you mean W? Sorry about that but I had to make it either W or space and since I ended up using space to switch between characters I used W to jump

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T04:23:51Z

@legavroche @eva Thanks for the feedback! The jump detection was originally a bug that I decided to keep as a feature to make the game more difficult. Don't know if that was the best decision but what's done is done.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T04:44:51Z

@relampmarquin @rumor Thanks for the feedback! The ledge forgiveness (or lack of) was originally a bug, then I decided to leave it in as a "feature". The game's tutorial goes over the fact that you can hit R to restart the level, I think a lot of people missed that unfortunately.

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T05:48:28Z

@ghostmaple @foodzilla Thanks for the feedback!

For The Greater Good by Eddie Li 2018-12-05T16:54:36Z

@coda-highland just personal preference for controls sorry

@theonethatneverwas @meenners @ale thanks for the feedback!

On a side note, does anyone know whether I'm allowed to fix a bug where all I have to do do is check off a public bool in unity? If you're wondering, I made the door a prefab with a public bool of locked not not, it should've been locked in the last level but forgot to check the bool. It makes the last level absurdly easy, it's actually much more difficult than it is, now I know why everyone is saying how the difficulty curve is wacked.

Vikrifice by Lucidus 2018-12-04T23:29:45Z

The game was very well done! Animation transitions were laggy for me but besides that it's very polished. I love the pixel art, it's incredible!

Disassembly Line by Borja 2018-12-04T22:48:38Z

Amazing game, very well polished. Good job! It was a lot of fun to play. Honestly, consider making mobile controls and releasing it to the public, it's well worth sharing.

PeonCraft - Sacrificed by Kornel Meszaros 2018-12-04T23:03:17Z

Graphics were very nice but some more unique mechanics could've been added to make gameplay a little more fulfilling. Other than that, very well done!

How to feed your dragon by Evgeniya Zapolnova 2018-12-06T01:45:37Z

A tutorial would've been appreciated but besides that it was quite interesting. Good job on your game!

The Pink Slip by shulololo 2018-12-06T01:20:40Z

Very interesting concept. However, there were some bugs that made the game hard for me to play. When I hit "SEND" it ends up not doing anything and I get stuck there. Not entirely sure why. But the game itself looks very promising!

Pick Your Poison by Vimlark 2018-12-04T06:15:50Z

Quite polished for a 72 hour game jam. Very well done!

260KG by Rodrigo Grego 2018-12-06T02:04:46Z

A very sensitive topic but a good entry nonetheless. You really got your point across. I loved the graphics but the game itself could've been more of... a game. It was a little too dark for my taste but overall, good job!
