I like being called a 'winner' when I have clearly been shot to death.

I like being called a 'winner' when I have clearly been shot to death.
I've never made an FPS before, but now I do.
Cool design and animations.
I thought the jump was bit 'floaty', but that could have been a design choice. I love your idea of creating a series of games based on paintings. Kind of like William Carlos Williams' poems about Bruegel's paintings.
I was hooked as soon as the .swf loaded. I couldn't figure out how to pass the third stage... but I had fun anyway. I wish I could program this pretty - I'll have to check out the source.
I love the robot. Reminds me of PSX-era 3D (but done well). Kind of like 3D pixel art, I guess?
I agree with project_scientist - keep tweaking the physics. And keep making great 3D art.
That was really great. You a vivid atmosphere with the music and giant pixels. I thought the potato gag somewhat cheapened the experience... but I still smirked.
Fantastic audio. Great voice acting and the piano was quite beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. Those leaves..! It's rare to come across a legit original pixel style.
I'd agree with Kortuga98 on the control issue though. Could have been amazing with smooth controls.
Also, it's great seeing a game under a megabyte - I've just started using Unity - so much bloat!
Thanks for the feedback, folks!
The slow transitions are intentional - I was aiming for a certain pace and feel. I can totally see how it would be annoying though (especially after many deaths) so I'll look into shaving off some milliseconds.
My biggest problem with this game (and other before it) is pacing difficulty. I can make tough levels, and I can make easy ones, but transitioning between them is tricky. With more experience and play-testing, I'll hopefully get better at it.
One of the most original mechanics I've seen so far!
Nice set of mechanics, but when it finished I felt like I'd only played the tutorial. With all the great ideas toying with the concept of space, the player only ever has one choice at any given time - move forward. It would be be great to see some puzzles with some challenge.
Nice work. The ninja's running feet animation is hynoptic... Slow-mo was great, slicing up a ninja star mid-air made me feel better about losing so much.
Are the levels procedurally generated? Too many walls!
If it needs explicit goals to be a game, leave it as a toy. It's brilliant as it is.
A candle was lit in memory of the fossilised beast, curled around a rock. Nearby a leaf settled by an upturned pumpkin.
100% Safe Download - ironic title?
Does look pretty good!
I really enjoyed this.
I didn't fully grasp what was happening (which is probably why I love it so), and I got stuck in the room in your big screenshot.
I'll give it another try later. Really want to see it to the end.
Great design, really gorgeous artwork (love the red lights... I felt like I was looking at evil). Great audio too - impactful but subtle.
Best experience so far out LD26! Do you have any other work I can check out?
Ridiculously beautiful. You creating an amazing world.
This is amazing. So many great design decisions in there. Not being able to double-back up, treasure chests killing all onscreen enemies, invincible player, sharks that cut your air supply. I thought it would be kind of dull, but it's so well thought out - I had a lot of fun!
Played it with a controller, and loved it. I love how the more you get around in a level, the less dirt you have to work with, making it harder to get around. Awesome!
Really cool mood, simple and effective controls. If a Super Nintendo JRPG had a flying section, this would have been it!
Incredible polish for one weekend. Great atmosphere - it felt dank. Great work!
Such a great game! Great mood, unsettling audio, and really smart rules. I love games that give me legitimate, mechanic-based surprises. An all round fantastic experience!
This is a perfect little package. Cool core idea of absorbing/spending your power. I also liked how the boss was a level in itself. It was a little frustrating entering the first boss part and zonked with a bullet straight away, but otherwise, pretty much flawless.
The level selection was awesome. I wish the whole game was in that 2D-Mario-Galaxy style.
This is fantastic. I like the trade-offs of the long, quick sword, and the short, slow, powerful axe. Great character designs, and a super fun game all round!
I found it pretty hard, I found the first TV, but after that... nothing! I liked the art though, and loved the sparse-but-interesting storytelling.
Cool concept - it's like playing the human side in Mega Worm. Pretty hard to get the worms head, but I felt boss when I did. I think it would control really well with a gamepad or with a mouse - a was bit awkward just on the keyboard.
Nice work! I was so close to clearing out all the gold! Those red slimes are devious when they team up...
The dive was coool, especially followed by thuding into solid ground. I think I made it to the end... It just reset?
It is very easy, but the combination of the music and art made me super relaxed and content. I had peaceful fun. I guess that's the point of surfing!
Cool puzzle game, I agree with FileCorrupted, very Zelda-like! I felt getting a game over and having to restart was a bit harsh... but maybe I should have been better! Also, I loved the audio for the projectiles.
Tough to get the hang of, but I like that - it's rewarding. Cool concept and cool reflection effect.
This is a creative use of the theme! I also love the bully's B sweater. I want one!
The visuals create a great atmosphere. Claustrophobic and dystopian. I panicked a few times, which is a great effort using only cubes!
Got very lost, got very dizzy, and had a cool time! Really like the bright pulsing background. Also the avatar might be the best 2D-sprite-in-a-3D-game ever.
That is a beautiful desert rose.
I loved the idea of controlling the tentacles Octodad style, even if they weren't the best weapon! Was a lot of fun once I got used to the controls.
Cool concept - reminds me of Flow a little.
