| May 2 11:39:38 | A Dog's Small World | ♥ 0 | Hey! You haven't uploaded the Data folder so I can't play your game :/ | |
| May 2 11:44:26 | 4m 48s | Gaia | ♥ 2 | Really pretty, and the music was subtle but enjoyable! To be honest, I didn't entirely get the concept of the z,x,t keys and what they did exactly. But overall a really nice game! |
| May 2 12:02:29 | 18m 03s | Super Galaxy Cosmo | ♥ 0 | Really fun and fast paced game! I enjoyed playing it a lot! My only complain would be that I don't get enough feedback when I hit (or get hit by) an enemy, and in a fast game like that I can't always tell what's going on. But overall great game, especially for the compo! |
| May 2 14:21:47 | 2h 19m | Keploo | ♥ 0 | Great game, I really loved the graphics! To be honest, I was kind of confused as to what I was supposed to do, and the controls didn't feel really solid. But it was a fun game overall. Good job! :D |
| May 3 17:46:50 | 27h 25m | Imposter | ♥ 1 | While it wasn't much, it was interesting and felt really personal. A really great attempt on showing this kind of inner struggle. I would love to see you expand on the concept. Good job! |
| May 3 22:06:11 | 4h 19m | Balanced Upon A Turtle | ♥ 1 | Fun and creative game! I really liked the concept and it was really well made for a compo game! The controls were a bit tricky for me, even with the controller, but other than that it was really good. Well done! |
| May 3 22:23:08 | 16m 57s | Fatal System Error | ♥ 1 | Wow, one of the most well made games out there! The graphics and the overall aesthetics was great, it played really nicely and it was really fun! As you mentioned, it got really difficult really fast but those kind of things take a lot of time in tweaking. I would love some more game feel touches, like feedback when the player or an enemy gets hit. Other than that, it was a really great game! Well done! |
| May 3 23:07:28 | 44m 20s | Flovala | ♥ 2 | Boy am I glad I'm in the compo and not the jam! This game is so gorgeous! Prettier than most games I've seen, ever, not just in the jam! Gameplay-wise it was also really interesting, you sure made me want to see what happens when you evolve to the final stage! My only issue is that the movement was stiff and really not that responsive. I guess you did it like that because when you get bigger it's harder to move, but I believe that just making the character slower could work. Nevertheless, it's a great entry, and definitely one of the prettiest ones! |
| May 3 23:31:42 | 24m 14s | Super Plumber Man vs The Evil Elf King | ♥ 0 | No much of a challenge, but I guess you knew that! :P I had a good laugh with this, it was really great! I actually played it twice because I squashed the elf king before he finished talking and I was curious to see what else he had to say :P The sound effects were really awesome, especially the man-made ones! Well done :D |
| May 4 12:52:07 | 13h 20m | Cathode Way | ♥ 2 | Really great looking game! It reminds me of "The Pedestrian" and maybe a bit of "Witness" as well. The graphics are really amazing, with just the right amount of post processing! My only problem would be that some screens can be a little awkward to use if you use them from a weird angle. So maybe the camera panning in front of the screens would be a good idea. Other than that great entry, especially for a game jam! Well done! |
| May 4 15:38:09 | 2h 46m | Crumble | ♥ 1 | Amazingly well executed concept! I played the single player mode because I don't have any friends and then I played using WASD and arrow keys just to pretend :P It was really amazing that you could incorporate both modes in such little time! I can imagine that as a party game it could be really fun, and the pickup ideas were really great (I loved the swap positions one, really clever). While simple, it was really well made and fun. Well done! |
| May 4 15:42:33 | 4m 24s | World Collider Defender | ♥ 0 | It was kinda tricky to play by myself, but other than that it was great! The graphics looked really awesome and it was pretty fun overall. I would prefer if it had a bit more polish, because losing and playing again was a bit to abrupt, but maybe that's just me. Good job! |
| May 5 13:50:28 | 22h 07m | Escape to the Stars | ♥ 0 | Fun little game! I was really motivated to get all the resources for the rocket, but when I finally did it I saw that it then needed potions and I was like "Nope." :P It would really help if there could be some kind of permanent upgrades for the player, like the ability to shoot more projectiles or faster cooldown. The art was really nice however and it was a pretty interesting game nonetheless. Well done! |
| May 5 14:17:22 | 26m 54s | Pause Café | ♥ 0 | My french are not really good but I think I got an idea of what was happening. It was very interesting, I loved the way people and objects appeared when the player is not looking! Also the art style was really great, and the whole feeling and atmosphere of the game was well done. Good job!! |
| May 5 14:24:05 | 6m 43s | Day by Day | ♥ 1 | Didn't actually see the "bullet-hell" part but it was pretty fun! Adding this kind of constraints while also having to do specific actions can be pretty fun if further researched. Pretty good game! :D |
| May 6 10:55:49 | 20h 31m | Macho Survivor | ♥ 0 | Nice game, fast paced and really fun! The enemy spawning was a bit weird for me, so there were enemies spawning right on top of me. But other than that I liked the serious sam feel and the whole aesthetic. Well done! |
| May 6 17:52:52 | 6h 57m | High Society Poking Enthusiasts | ♥ 1 | Weird but interesting and funny game nonetheless! I really liked the atmosphere and the graphics as well as the hand animations. The concept was silly enough (in a good way) that if fully implemented, it could be a really great and fun game! Great job! :D |
| May 6 17:56:14 | 3m 22s | Rock Hammer | ♥ 4 | Simple but fun and interesting idea! I really liked the character's animations, they seemed really nice and fluid to me, even though the art style of him and the rest of the environment were kinda different. But with a bit more polish and maybe one or two gameplay elements on top it could be a really great and addictive game! |
| May 6 20:58:48 | 3h 02m | Antagonistic : Hamburger Hill | ♥ 1 | I can't believe the amount of work you did in such little time! There were so many different elements to the game! I had a bit of trouble playing in WebGL as it was a bit hard to aim, but other than that it was a really fun and interesting game. And it was pretty much complete gameplay-wise, which is amazing considering it was made just in 48 hours. Well done!! |
| May 7 17:27:53 | 20h 29m | Quantum Catburetor | ♥ 0 | ERMAHGERD THIS GAME IS AWESOME! Easily one of the greatest artstyles I've seen in a jam game, and maybe even in general! I loved the colors, the models and the whole aesthetic, as well as what you did with what I assume was some weird and interesting shaders. The gameplay, while simple, was really well implemented and fun! And the music was in absolutely perfect sync with the whole game. Ridiculously good job, maybe the best I've seen in this year's LD! Well done! |
| May 7 22:21:36 | 4h 53m | Incidental Dimension | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept and implementation, I really liked it as a game and as a technical project! As other people mentioned, the checkpoint thing was something that I'd really appreciate, but other than that it was really fun and clever! The amount of work that went into this is amazing, especially considering that this is a compo entry! Well done!! P.S.: I don't know if it was something that I missed, but pressing "V" made some doors appear open (though I couldn't go through them). It seemed like a debugging thing :P |
| May 9 14:57:26 | 40h 35m | RoboLand | ♥ 1 | Really nice puzzle design, and the graphics were amazing! I really enjoyed your game, well done! |
| May 10 16:59:06 | 26h 01m | Fast & Faeries | ♥ 1 | Really fast-paced and fun game! I really loved the art style and your interpretation of the theme! It was also really polished for a game jam game, and the mechanic with the dandelions was really smart. Good job! :D |
| May 10 19:18:14 | 2h 19m | My Other World | ♥ 2 | I got some "Child of Light" vibes from this game, and this is a very, VERY good thing! The gameplay was really interesting and innovative, although it would probably be a good idea to stick to one style of combat, otherwise it might get confusing. The art was really pretty though, and overall it was a really nice and fun game. Well done! :D |
| May 10 19:40:50 | 22m 36s | Internet Shooter - protect magical device! | ♥ 1 | Great job, especially for a compo! You probably saw from my game that I'm a fan of the whole defending concept, so I really liked your version of that! And for it being your first jam, it's really great that you made something this good, let alone playable :P Well done! :D |
| May 10 19:50:24 | 9m 34s | Asteroid, Planet, GODDAMMIT! | ♥ 1 | Really interesting concept, it worked really well with what you did! The music was also very good, and the game was pretty fun overall. Good job! :D |
| May 10 19:59:18 | 8m 54s | Dr. Zorongo | ♥ 1 | That's a really great and well done game! It's basically a really good base for a great roguelite game. I had a lot of fun playing, however, as others mentioned, it was hard to control the character, and that made the combat a bit unfair. Plus, it would be great if there was feedback on hitting or getting hit, because most of the time I wasn't sure if I did any damage at all. Other than that, the game was really good, especially for a game jam entry! |
| May 10 20:41:51 | 42m 33s | Bumble Jumble | ♥ 0 | Great game and really well made! The graphics were surprisingly good for a game jam entry and it was generally really polished and fun! It was maybe a bit hard to control the bee, it would probably be easier to aim with the mouse. But other than that, it was an extremely good game! Great job! :D |
| May 11 10:20:34 | 13h 38m | Kanjo | ♥ 1 | You were too ambitious with this game, and I think that's a really good thing! You actually managed to implement a lot more than others, and made a fully functioning demo of a very interesting game with a nice story! The artwork, while simple, it worked really well with your concept, and the music really helped with the whole mood. I didn't mind the combat segment, I thought of it as something that could be implemented in a fuller version of the game, but maybe in a way that fits the story more. I also really liked the way you used the text to tell a story, not just as a block of text but as something more interesting. And knowing Unity's UI system, I think this must have been annoying af to make :P Overall, I think you did a great job, especially since you were solo. You managed to make something that works and that it's decently polished that you can expand upon and make yourself a really nice storytelling game. Well done! :D |
| May 11 23:13:30 | 12h 52m | Hibernaculum | ♥ 1 | Absolutely gorgeous game, and with a great music to fit the mood! The gameplay was really interesting and it worked really well with your interpretation of the theme. At some point however I kinda broke your game, as I was stuck on the glass of the globe, which was a bit awkward :P But other than that really pretty game, and really well executed idea. Good job! :D |
| May 11 23:24:24 | 10m 54s | Space Raiders | ♥ 1 | I am not good at this game. At all :P But I enjoyed trying to survive the first night 3 or 4 times! You have invested a lot in game feel and polish and it really shows! I love the impact of the weapon, the gore effect, the tight controls of the player as well as the whole environment! I usually suck at this kind of games but maybe it would help if it was a bit easier at the start, just so that people can get enough ammo. Other than that, it was really a beautifully made game! The graphics were great, the music was complimenting the whole theme pretty well, and the gameplay was pretty innovative and interesting! Well done! |
| May 11 23:36:28 | 12m 04s | Yours | ♥ 1 | Great work, both in design and in technical aspect! The game was really interesting and relaxing, and it pushed me to continue adding land and other stuff just to see what would happen! You have a really solid base for a very good game on your hands! Well done! :D |
| May 12 17:20:55 | 17h 44m | Astromike | ♥ 1 | Very good game! The graphics and the overall atmosphere were really good and polished, especially for a jam entry! The puzzles were really cleverly designed and you had a lot of interesting and innovative mechanics. I'm sure that if you continue working on this and release it as a full game, it will be really successful, because I truly believe that it's something different and fresh as far as puzzle games are concerned. Great job! :D |
| May 12 17:34:05 | 13m 10s | Missing Lands | ♥ 1 | To be honest, I'm a bit too young to enjoy the fact that it's a NES game :P However I can really praise you for all the code you've written in 48 hours. I don't know what kind of tools you had at your disposal, but making something like this in a weekend seems, at least to me, as something truly amazing! And the game itself is pretty interesting and I think it preserves the charm of the older, simpler games. Great job!:D |
| May 13 12:54:07 | 19h 20m | ChronoCombat | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept that I think it's worth looking into! However, maybe it will be easier to predict the other player's movement if it was put in a grid, or if it had key-places that they knew that the other player would go (like powerups or some kind of goal). But this was a really well implemented idea that has a lot of potential for a great multiplayer game. The ideas the other people suggested here are really interesting, I would love to see them implemented in a full version of the game. Great job! |
| May 13 13:07:03 | 12m 56s | Naughty Gnomes | ♥ 1 | Very interesting and fun little game! I really enjoyed the art and the general concept of the game. The gameplay mechanics while simple, they were entertaining and they kept me interested in finishing each level. Great job! :D |
| May 13 22:31:15 | 9h 24m | The Adventure of Malvin | ♥ 1 | Great game! The controls are really good and tight (I especially liked the wall sliding) and the graphics look super cute! It's really great that you took the time to polish it that much, I very much appreciated the small subtle details (like the dust particles when walking). It's a really well made and fun game, and it's amazing that you did it alone in such little time! Well done! :D |
| May 13 22:48:23 | 17m 08s | E.(a)T. | ♥ 2 | What a fun and great game! :D I really loved the graphics and the animations, they were very well made and consistent! The gameplay was very interesting, it really kept me in the zone trying to survive and to kick all of those annoying little creatures :P My only observations are these: * I would like for the kicking/eating to be faster/more responsive, because there were times where I almost died while being on top of a fruit-thing and I couldn't eat fast enough. * While the aliens are keep on coming, there is no some kind of "rubberbanding" mechanic to enable the player stay alive longer. It would be nice if there was some kind of "progression" or something to make you better as the aliens come. But that could just be me :P Other than that, you've got a really great and fun game on your hands! Well done! :D P.S.: I'd love to hear your feedback on my game, you can find it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/leucos |
| May 13 23:07:23 | 19m 00s | A Bloody Small World | ♥ 1 | What a pretty and fun game! I really enjoyed myself playing it! The graphics and the sound effects were sooo cute, and the whole concept of both the theme and the gameplay was really clever! I also lost some blood cells at some points and I was trying to backtrack and find them. Which really felt like I was a teacher and I had a bunch of kids to look after. So, whether it was intentional or not, it worked really well :P Good job!! :D |
| May 13 23:34:19 | 26m 56s | Cowmets | ♥ 1 | Yee haw, that was a darn good game y'all! But seriously, amazing concept, the graphics and the whole theme really worked well together and overall this was an amazingly fun and well made game! The mechanics were actually very clever, especially the chasing part! Moving the mouse around so much made the chasing really fun and exciting! Even if you didn't make the music, it was well worth it to use such great music that fits the theme of your game and makes it even more funny and whimsical! Your game is definitely one of the best I've encountered so far, and I'll be really upset if you don't end up in the top 100. Congratulations and well done!! |
| May 16 18:39:34 | 67h 05m | Defending my small world | ♥ 2 | I'm a simple man. I see hand-drawn graphics, I like it. But yeah, the whole aesthetic of your hand-drawn graphics is really great. The music was also quite good and the gameplay while simple it was fun and interesting! I would love it if it was more polished but in a compo this is kind of a luxury :P But you're onto something here and it's certainly great that you're participating. Great work! |
| May 16 19:17:29 | 37m 55s | Intergalactic Lemonade Inc. | ♥ 1 | Although my favorite kind of lemons are the combustible lemons, I really enjoyed this game :P It was really well made, the graphics were really minimalistic and pretty, and the music was also really great! The gameplay was really interesting and it kept me engaged for quite a bit! My only "complain" would be that the particles of the ship were a bit different from the overall look and that kinda stood out. But that's not really problem, especially in a game jam. Plus, your game was really pretty and fun either way! Good job! :D |
| May 16 19:28:39 | 11m 10s | Bubblenaut | ♥ 1 | I won't lie, all this spinning actually made me a bit dizzy. But maybe that's just me! Other than that, this is a really well made game! The graphics are gorgeous, as well as the whole atmosphere. The level design is pretty well done and contributes significantly to the fun of the game. The music was also really fitting. All in all, I really love your interpretation of the theme, it shows that you have a lot of imagination and creativity! Great job! :D |
| May 16 19:44:16 | 15m 37s | Supermarket Sneak | ♥ 3 | This game speaks to my heart :P It's a really well made game, congrats! The graphics were very good and consistent, the gameplay was really fun and overall this game is ridiculously polished! I loved everything, from the UI to the awesome music playing when the people are talking to you. My only concern is that it was too hard, I always bumped into somebody's line of sight. I didn't notice if it mattered being behind stuff (I played the jam version, not the post-compo). Nevertheless, it was a very fun and funny game, and certainly well made. Great job! :D |
| May 16 19:54:58 | 10m 42s | Daffodil Village | ♥ 2 | I would definitely vote this village as the cutest in the next elections. I really loved the art and the music, it all had this really fun, cute and whimsical style! It also seemed as if this village had a terrible secret, which made me intrigued, I would love to see what's the lore behind this seemingly cute and happy village. Maybe some kind of eugenics, or they just throw the uncute babies in river. The guy in the sealed of house made me think lots of scenarios :P In any case, it was a really interesting and nice little game, good job! :D |
| May 16 20:44:30 | 49m 32s | Abaddon | ♥ 0 | Dangerously close to Devil Daggers but it doesn't matter; it's still a great game! Fast paced, fun, with really interesting graphics and great audio. What else can one ask from a game?! I really like the whole aesthetic with the post processing, as well as the models. You also had some really great animations going on there, which was very much appreciated! Overall, this game was really well made, very polished and an amazing entry for this jam. Well done! :D P.S. Thank you for the Wihelm scream sound effect on dying, it made my deaths way more enjoyable :P |
| May 16 21:32:19 | 47m 49s | Snoozle Pooz | ♥ 2 | I'm a dog person, so 1/5, better luck next time. JK of course (though I do prefer dogs), it was a really great game! I love the graphics and the whole toon shading style, it worked really well I think. Plus the animations of the cat were really great and knowing how hard animating is, I really appreciate this. I also didn't quite enjoy the fixed camera, it was nice that the buildings were transparent to see the cat, but I'd prefer more control over it. Other than that, I think the game is really good, the music was also really fitting and fun! You did a fant-cat-stic job! I'm not good at cat-related puns. |
| May 16 22:19:47 | 47m 28s | Cubic Explorer | ♥ 1 | Wow, I'm really impressed with this game. Not just the gameplay and the nice aesthetics and all, but also from a technical aspect. The whole concept of dynamic goals, rules and conditions is something that really deserves being further researched. Personally I haven't encountered this mechanic elsewhere, and even if it exists in other games, I don't think it's that popular. But I truly believe that something like this can be groundbreaking if examined more. It could be applied into a new kind of roguelite/roguelike games where not just the levels, but the actual "game" is random. Your game had that implemented really well in my opinion. Also it had really nice and simple graphics, and it was a fun game overall. Great job on the game and on your system, I think you're onto something really exciting! |
| May 17 14:02:11 | 15h 42m | Picto World | ♥ 0 | Simplistic but nice art-style, and more importantly, consistent! It really kept me intrigued to see how much a house could evolve, so I kept on harvesting for quite a while. This was definitely a fun part. If you expand on that, add more elements to evolve and polish it, I think you'll end up with a great game! Good job! :D |
| May 17 14:19:36 | 17m 25s | B-M0X | ♥ 0 | Simple but interesting game! The art style is really exceptional, unique, simple and cute! I'd love to see more games feature art like this! The music and sound effects were also very good and they fitted perfectly with the whole aesthetic. I don't know how you could expand on that, but I'm sure that you can come up with something really clever and unique! Great job! :D |
| May 17 14:28:11 | 8m 35s | The World Outside | ♥ 2 | I absolutely loved the models of the characters, they had this really great and distinct look! The animations were also pretty good, however I guess there was some synchronization issue with the walking and the animation, until the girl gets to full speed. The combat also was really hard for me to get a grip on, those ninjas were really fast. I guess that's their job as ninjas, but still :P The overall game seemed interesting and reminded me of old collectathon games. I don't know if you will expand on this, but please, PLEASE take this kind of art-style and make something beautiful and unique! Great job nonetheless! :D |
| May 18 11:21:20 | 20h 53m | Chill Bill | ♥ 0 | Amazing game! Simple but really fun and funny! I love the art-style, it really contributed a lot to the overall fun of the game. The sprite cut scene also was the best reward ever :P It was kinda hard getting the money though, but maybe that's just me sucking at games. As others suggested, adding some kind of upgrades and other elements can make the complete version of this game truly awesome! I'm thinking about something similar to Tap Titans, but with your whole theme and aesthetic. I'd really love to see the final game! Great job! :D |
| May 18 11:53:52 | 32m 32s | Clean the Dorm | ♥ 1 | What a fun and cute game! I really enjoyed the technical aspect of it, it was a really interesting way of creating levels! The models and animations were very well made and the overall gameplay was pretty satisfying! In some levels there were 4 levels spawning the one after the other really fast. I don't know if that's what you wanted or if the purpose was for each wave to spawn after you clear the previous. It wasn't really that clear and at first I thought it was a.................bug. Other than that, it was really well made and an amazingly good entry! Great job! :D |
| May 18 18:13:22 | 6h 19m | Sentai Survivor | ♥ 0 | Really fun and creative concept! I thought it was very funny to see this kind of events from a civilian's perspective :P I'll keep this in mind next time I watch Power Rangers or something similar :P Other than that, the graphics were pretty nice and colorful, which fitted into the whole whimsical aesthetic, and the gameplay, while simple, it was satisfying and fun! Great job! :D |
| May 18 18:24:30 | 11m 08s | The Other | ♥ 1 | Very interesting interpretation of the theme, and I really liked that it's something personal to you in some way. This is probably the most important thing: to make games that mean something to you. Then you'll pour so much effort and love into them that other people will very much appreciate. Other than that, I really liked the art style. I'm a sucker for hand-drawn art, and I enjoy seeing it as an alternative to "traditional" art, it shows that when you want to make something you just make it and don't let restrictions affect you. I also really liked the lighting effects, I found them intriguing. Overall, while it may not have lots of gameplay, I enjoyed this game because it was interesting and you put a decent amount of effort and thought into it. Great job! |
| May 18 19:05:22 | 40m 52s | BoopleJoop | ♥ 2 | Suuuuper cute game! I really loved the art, it was so colorful and fun! The music was also truly great and it really fitted the whole whimsical aesthetic. The gameplay was also quite interesting and out of the ordinary. I could easily see this as a mobile game (where you have to tap the boople instead of typing the letter), and I think it would be quite fun too! Great job! ^^ |
| May 19 10:23:18 | 15h 17m | Binary Glitch | ♥ 1 | I didn't want the simple graphics to discourage me from playing this game, and boy am I glad! This is an amazing concept and a very fun game! The whole grid mechanic with the black tiles was really phenomenal, I really liked it! I truly don't believe there was anything wrong with the game, just elements you can improve. For example, design-wise, I would like to see a simple mechanic that stops the player from just keeping his mouse button down to shoot everywhere. Like an overheat bar, or finite ammo that you can pickup in the level. Something that simple can add a whole new layer of strategy to your game! As J.W. from Vlambeer mentioned "if you put a button on your game [...] give someone a reason to not press it". Other than that, I think you have a great, fun and innovative game on your hands, that I really enjoyed playing! Great job! :D |
| May 19 10:35:24 | 12m 06s | Revenge of the Bugs | ♥ 0 | I can't understand why this game has so little votes, it's really good! The graphics are very nice and consistent, the music is great and I thought it was pretty interesting in a tower-defense sense, as it's topology was somewhat different from what I've used to. To be honest I was never that much into tower-defense games, but this one I enjoyed quite a lot! Great job! |
| May 19 10:41:56 | 6m 32s | Lil' Hunt | ♥ 1 | Didn't get the chance to play the multiplayer, but I'm sure it would have been extremely fun and hilarious! The physics were truly flawless, you were right :P Simple game but it had lots of elements of fun, which is not always easy to do. I would prefer it if the camera could move or be more dynamic, but you've played my game, who am I to speak? :P Really great job! |
| May 19 11:06:39 | 24m 43s | Final Front: Planetary Defence | ♥ 0 | This should be renamed as "Death Star Simulator" :P Capture.PNG I died pretty fast on my first try, but then, as you can see I got the hang of it :P The only problem is that after that point I was just automatic killing everything, so there was no challenge. However I really loved the concept! Especially the ability to rotate the planet was a really clever mechanic! Though I had the ability to purchase multiple thrusters, I didn't notice if it had an impact on rotation speed. Really fun game, I truly enjoyed being that over-powered :P Would be awesome if there was some kickass upbeat music in the background :3 Other than that this was a great game, well done!! :D |
| May 19 12:43:47 | 1h 37m | Symbios | ♥ 1 | Daaayum, this is a really well made and polished game! I really liked the art-style, I'm usually a sucker for this kind of colors! It is somewhat difficult to click on the microbes you want, but other than that, it's a really good concept, the music is very entertaining and fitting and overall this is a fantastic entry! Great job! :D |
| May 19 12:59:25 | 15m 38s | My Very Own World | ♥ 1 | Damn, that's a really well made game! You had so much stuff going on, it's crazy! While I'm not generally into strategy games, this had me engaged for a while and I had lots of fun playing it! The scroll mechanic was also really clever and added a lot to the overall presentation. One thing I have to note is that at first I wasn't really sure what I was doing as the controls were not really intuitive. But I got the hang of it after a while (even if I still sucked, that's my own fault :P). Really great game, well done! :D |
| May 19 17:13:15 | 4h 13m | Crumble Crust | ♥ 0 | The answer is no. No I don't have what it takes to get to the core :P But I really enjoyed it nonetheless! It looks simple, but it's not, it's suuuuper challenging! I'm glad you already made an android version, I would suggest that this needs to become a mobile game. It will spread so much hate and frustration, just like a good mobile game should do! :D I really liked the graphics, though the handpainted style of the planet kinda clashed with the vector style of the player. The music was also amazing, it kept me in the zone while I died again and again! Overall, this is a really great game, good job! :D |
| May 19 17:21:36 | 8m 21s | A Small World Cup | ♥ 1 | I'm a sucker for ragdolls and everything silly, so I can't help but really like this game! Such a simple and fun concept, it really works amazingly well! I'm also glad that you already made a phone/tablet version, I think that this game could really work great as a mobile game! Some kind of multiplayer might also be a good idea, but I can't think of how it could be implemented at the moment :P The graphics were also working in your favor, it didn't need to be anything more complex than that and it really supported your game! I would love it if there was some audio and silly music in the background, but I understand that in a compo these stuff are kind of a luxury. What's important is that you have a great and fun game. Great job! :D |
| May 19 17:25:15 | 3m 39s | RC kitchen Throwdown | ♥ 0 | Great entry and a very interesting interpretation of the theme! As stated above I think that if the car was a bit faster that could work really well, but even as it is it's a very fun game! I did get rolled over and stuck a couple of times, but that usually happens with RC vehicles either way :P Nevertheless, well done! :D |
| May 19 17:31:35 | 6m 20s | AstroGunner | ♥ 0 | Really interesting shooting game! With some more polish and other content it could be an amazingly good game! You already have the base for a nice, fast-paced and fun game! As others mentioned, the camera didn't really work for me, it made it a bit hard to aim and to move. Other than that, I think you have a great entry on your hands, and I'd love to see what you do with it! Great job! :D |
| May 19 17:57:00 | 25m 25s | Super Snowman Spider Showdown Supreme | ♥ 1 | You have undoubtedly the prettiest main menu out there, and the graphics in the game along with the animations are also amazingly done! The game itself was really interesting and fun as a concept, however the shooting mechanic did not really work for me. I wouldn't care if I had just a fixed fire rate or a cooldown or something, but I felt that this was not consistent. And either when I mashed the button or kept it pressed down, I didn't know what worked which was kind of frustrating. Also aiming was not very straightforward for me, but maybe that was just me. Other than that it's a solid and well polished game, and the music and sound effects were really good. Great job! :D |
| May 20 00:13:32 | 6h 16m | tiny'Pocalypse | ♥ 1 | Pretty interesting game! It seemed that you had something really good on your mind, both story-wise and gameplay-wise. As others said, it would help if it was kind of faster, and making the sprites smaller would make it feel even better. Also, it's always a good idea to give as much feedback to the player as possible. For example, I wasn't always sure if I did any damage, or if I took any damage. This kind of stuff can really improve on the overall feel and polish-ness of your game. Other than that, it's a really solid entry. Good job! :D |
| May 20 00:25:58 | 12m 26s | The Deific's Guide to Creating, Exploiting, and Destroying Pocket Worlds | ♥ 1 | How is it possible for one person to do something like that in 48 hours? HOW? There are sooo much stuff going on that I don't think I could discover if I just *played* for 48 hours! The whole game idea was also amazingly interesting, and it's really nice how you combined the whole element-matching with the first-person controller. I really liked the music too, it was calm and nice and really fitted the whole aesthetic you had going on. This game is really great in both a technical and a gameplay aspect. You did a fantastic job, well done! :D |
| May 20 00:38:22 | 12m 24s | World Keep-Away | ♥ 1 | Fun little game! It had some pretty interesting elements, like the turrets and the whole run for your life style, which can be expanded in a very intriguing manner. The game lacked some polish and the jumping was kind of weird, but other than that it's a solid game jam entry. Good job! :D |
| May 20 00:46:14 | 7m 52s | Recoil Assault | ♥ 1 | What a coincidence, I have actually been experimenting with a mechanic like that recently! It's a really fun way to move, but in this environment it's really easy to fall off :/ Other than that it was a very fun concept and a solid game overall! Also I really loved the song choice, it really got me in the shooting mood :3 Well done! :D |
| May 20 00:56:45 | 10m 31s | Ragdoll Wars | ♥ 1 | I can't help it, I love ragdoll. This is why I also loved this game! So silly and whimsical but also fun at the same time! I had a bit of a hard time controlling the player but, I guess that was the point :P Maybe it doesn't necessarily work that well in a game with this kind of close combat, so it could maybe be a good idea to implement the combat in a different way (like tossing yourself on the enemy or something ragdoll-y like that). But this didn't stop me from enjoying the game! Also the music and the sound effects were really great, and I absolutely loved the shockwave effect. Maybe it was a bit out of place since it's clashing a bit with the pixel aesthetics but personally I always love seeing it, it's one of my favorite ways to give feedback to the player. Nevertheless, this was a really good entry, good job! :D |
| May 20 01:10:16 | 13m 31s | All The Way Down | ♥ 1 | It's a simple and straightforward game; and there's nothing bad about this! I could easily imagine this game played on mobile devices with some polish. It's a really good entry, great job =] |
| May 20 01:16:29 | 6m 13s | Small World | ♥ 0 | You had a lot going on there, which was pretty interesting! I liked the art-style, even if it was a bit simple. The music and sound effects were also really good. My only complain is that the shooting was with the right click, and, being in Opera browser, while I was shooting I was opening and closing tabs :P Other than that it was a really solid entry, well done! :D |
| May 20 13:43:56 | 12h 27m | Tiny Buckler | ♥ 0 | Really nice little game! The shield mechanic was really nice, but I'd prefer it if it was more predictable and consistent, because I didn't really know when the shield would come back. Other than that, it was pretty fun and interesting, the art-style while simple it was consistent and the music and sfx were quite good! Great job, well done! :D P.S.: I don't know if you had the option since it's XNA and all that, but it's generally not a good idea to have an installer for a jam game. It's not very accessible and people ofter refrain from playing these games. It doesn't really matter for the quality of the game, but since you want more people to play your game it's a somewhat important factor. |
| May 20 14:34:59 | 51m 03s | Petty Puny Planet 38 | ♥ 1 | Water-breathing spell-casting winged lycanthropic elves. Now this is a planet I want to live on! Such a great and fun game! :D It was really funny, I enjoyed it very much :3 Everything was amazingly done, the music and graphics fitted really well and the level of polish in this game is astonishing! Great job! :D |
| May 20 14:48:59 | 14m 00s | Hamsterscape! | ♥ 2 | :O Why does this game has so little ratings?? It's freaking amazing! The technical aspect of creating the vehicle is really great (remind me a bit of besiege) and the co-op part looks like it's really fun!! I tried it on my own, since I have no friends, but still I thought it was really enjoyable! The art was also really unique and amazing, while the silly soundtrack perfectly fitted the whole aesthetic of the game. This is an amazingly good entry! Great job!! P.S.: I didn't read the part that I needed to hold ctrl to go back, hence I restarted the game a couple of times. Maybe next time assign it just to a button like Esc, or R, or something that somebody can find while mashing random buttons, since usually people don't try long-pressing every button. |
| May 20 17:58:53 | 3h 09m | Colorfly | ♥ 0 | This is not a game. Or, should I say, this is not *just* a game. It's an amazing and beautiful experience. It reminded me of games like "Flower", and that's a really good thing. The music was stunningly beautiful, and while I didn't feel like I had a specific, game-y goal, I just kept on playing because I was immersed in this beautiful thing you had created. I think the next step for this game would be an integration between the background music and the music parts that are played when you create a tree or when you pick up an orb. This would lead to some incredible musical discoveries and it would make the game feel even more unique! With some more polish, and maybe some story backing it up, this game can become something truly amazing. Well done! |
| May 20 18:04:06 | 5m 13s | AaaRrr - Fight epic battles on our small (and flat) world | ♥ 1 | Small but fun! It could really work well as a party game with more players and stuff like power-ups! I absolutely loved the sound effects, they were amazing :P I had to play by myself, but still I just rammed the ships into each other and let them fall just to hear the sound effects :P Really great game overall, good job! :D |
| May 20 18:30:14 | 26m 08s | A small World à la No Man's sky | ♥ 1 | Basically that's 2 games in one! And with seamless integration! I really liked the concept that you fly to a planet and then you walk on it in first person, it made it really interesting! It was a pretty fun game overall, and really rewarding if you consider that even after "I lost" because I ran out of fuel, I could still play and visit planets :P Other than that, it's a really great entry, well done! :D |
| May 20 18:59:24 | 29m 10s | Cosmic Flinger | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept! I really liked that the projectiles changed their type, and the particles you added, while simple, they added a lot to the feel of the game. As a tower defense I think it would be very fun and entertaining, I'd love to see how you expand on it. Well done! =] |
