This a fun little fighting game. The graphics and music is overall good. The animations could have been a bit better, but this is not a big problem. I would also have liked the player movement speed to be a bit faster. I mean even the run speed is very slow. But this is overall a great LD game. Well done.

Nice game. I liked the graphics. Adding story to the game could be cool.

I had fun playing it, nice sounds. I love the graphics and the animations! Good job.
I also liked the graphics although it took me a little while to get used to how far away I had to be in order to attack the enemies without getting hurt.

I have now also rated your game.
Just came back to rate.
Good Job. I really liked the unique graphic style and the fact that I was able to use my XB1 controller. The balance was on spot (even though it felt easy in the beginning I soon realized it wasn't). Some minor things that I would say need some tweaking were: -UI was under some enemies (it happened in one level, not sure about the rest) -Health bar on the enemies (just for clarity) -Maybe add a power meter that gets filled when you hit enemies and have a special attack with more damage/range (just a suggestion)
Overall it was nice and polished for a jam game. Keep it up
Fun game which was quite challenging. Having different objectives like collect all pages, destroy all portals etc made the game more interesting.
I liked the visuals, but the enemies could have had an attack animation to indicate if one was about to deal damage to me. I think the speed of the characters run could have been faster as it didn't seem to increase the players speed much.
Good job!
Neat little game - I loved the graphics. It felt painful to go back to the beginning after one death... but then again my game works the same way so I guess I shouldn't be bothered. I'll echo the other players saying the main character felt slow... but it was still completely playable. Well done.
Hey, good job on this. Played it again and got a bit farther than I did when I streamed (although not a whole lot). The art is great, I love the hand-drawn aesthetic. The gameplay has a good amount of variety for a jam game (different objectives and combinations of objectives). I think if you fix up the hitboxes a bit and speed up the action this game would be a strong arcade style brawler.
Good work!
A basic concept, but executed pretty decently. Movement feels a little slow, even while running. I am not sure the game needs a run ability. I'd have preferred a leap that makes you jump over an enemy, for instance. Directing my attacks was difficult here and there, as demons came in from two directions.
The graphics are cute, but almost feel a little too big on screen, and the animations can do with a bit of love. The music sets a nice tone.

I like the visuals a lot - well done, and with a pretty unique style. Some more animations on the enemies would have been nice, but they work well as is.
One thing that would have been nice would be a "continue" option on game-over: rather than starting over, start back at the same level. Would make it easier for people to see more of the game!
I'll echo what a few others have said, that overall the game is a bit slow. Speeding *everything* up just a little bit would go a long way to tightening up the experience.
Overall, though, great job!
Make the sprites smaller and Increase the move speed Please!!! Other than that I like the game a ton. Good Job! It has Great potential!
Pretty interesting game! It seemed that you had something really good on your mind, both story-wise and gameplay-wise. As others said, it would help if it was kind of faster, and making the sprites smaller would make it feel even better. Also, it's always a good idea to give as much feedback to the player as possible. For example, I wasn't always sure if I did any damage, or if I took any damage. This kind of stuff can really improve on the overall feel and polish-ness of your game. Other than that, it's a really solid entry. Good job! :D
