Definitely the most fun ld38 game i've played until now! :)
Haha thanks so much!
This game kicked butt! It was WAY too difficult but all of the mechanics were on points and you could feel how well the game played and controled! Thanks for sharing this game with me!
wow, your game is awesome! I really loved the recoil feel in the weapon, and it looks very polished!
Congrats
hey could you possibly host your game on another site as well? on my computer theres a bar across the top of the gamejolt website that says unable to connect to gamejolt. i have tried downloading your game but am unable to. however, ive been able to download games on itch.io and google drive, etc. all day. i would really like to play your game.
I played this on my livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srBde18ASdY
This is on my top games of LD 38 List. Very well done all around, I think my only complaint was I got boxed in at the checkpoint and there didn't seem to be a way to win. Otherwise, very, very solid and I love the aesthetic.
Just rated it! Good luck!
Very fun! Little tough on a laptop touchpad, but that's a product of my own laziness. :P
Very impressed with this game! The visual style and feel is so rad! It is quite brutal though :P
Thanks so much everyone for playing! Sorry for the crazy difficulty and admittedly poor room layout, had to get it in!
Very solid! With all the tightly polished FPS games around these days, it's hard to make an FPS game that feels decent to play. I was very happy with the movement in this game. I loved the tutorial section, which allowed me to jump around freely. My version of fun would be a course where I could jump from platform to platform while aiming at targets and switching weapons mid-air. Somehow multitasking like that just appeals to me. I understand it might not have been intentional, but it was really tough dealing with the hoards of enemies in the first room after the tutorial, and it just kinda degraded into running around in circles while the enemies chased after me slowly.
Fantastic aesthetic. Very refreshing game in a sea of 2D games :stuck_out_tongue:
Oh boy, I'm without a computer, my old one kinda exploded during the LD days and I'm waiting for a new one to arrive. Just to say I saved your game page so I don't miss it when the time comes. This looks pretty cool! I'll be back in some days :P
Wow, one of the most well made games out there! The graphics and the overall aesthetics was great, it played really nicely and it was really fun! As you mentioned, it got really difficult really fast but those kind of things take a lot of time in tweaking. I would love some more game feel touches, like feedback when the player or an enemy gets hit. Other than that, it was a really great game! Well done!
This game starts out great - movement mechanics feel good (except that the mouse sensitivity is way too low and there's no way to adjust it in-game), the guns are satisfying to shoot, and the art style is a treat - but it has an achilles' heel: the ammo despawns way too quickly. As it stands, the combat scenarios mostly consist of running away from large crowds of enemies as you gradually whittle away at their numbers. Because your weapons can't clear out enemies very fast, you're always on the retreat. That creates an interesting power dynamic, and it means that when you kill an enemy and it drops ammo, you usually can't pick it up right away because there's a mob of enemies already on top of it. Normally, that would be fine. You have a sweet triple-jump after all, so you can kite enemies all over the place... except that because the ammo drops despawn almost immediately, there's never enough time to kite enemies away and come back around to pick up the drop. 9 times out of 10, that leads to you being locked in a room with no way to reload your weapons and no choice but to commit suicide. It seems like a minor thing, but unfortunately it's a complete showstopper that leads to the game being basically unplayable. Which is kind of sad, because otherwise it seems really cool.
Starts off so, so well - cracking music and decent sound meshed with some trad. 80s graphics. Unfortunately, the gameplay isn't quite there. I want to love it so much, but unfortunately the shooting reduces down to kiting enemies and leaves me wanting more.
