| Apr 20 22:13:00 | Hugline Miami | It's a shame you opted out of the humour rating because I wanted to give you a 4 or 5 for the sheer hilarity of "killing" someone with piles of hot exploding love XD. Other than that, this was a pretty fun entry to play and I loved how you've nailed the Hotline Miami aesthetic. | |
| Apr 20 22:44:00 | 31m 00s | Hackinator | The game seems to crash at random moments but I really like the concept (especially the look of the terminal). |
| Apr 21 17:33:00 | 18h 49m | Out of Bullets | Pretty nice and funny concept that fits the theme well. I really liked how each item of junk worked differently compared to each other when shot out of your spaceship. The only gripe I have so far is that on the version of the game that's embed on this page, pressing up/down would scroll the page otherwise this is a very solid entry. |
| Apr 21 17:48:00 | 15m 00s | Dreamy Pillow | Pretty simple but maybe a bit harder than expected because of how the ghost's projectiles worked. It could do with some more polish otherwise this is a pretty solid entry. |
| Apr 21 18:02:00 | 14m 00s | Happy ! | Pretty simple but it's very well done and nicely polished (although controls are slightly awkward if you use WASD). Also, like everyone else in the comment, I propose you port this to mobile. |
| Apr 21 18:26:00 | 24m 00s | drone-a-pult | The game is really hard due to how the mechanics work but it's very fun to play and definitely well polished. |
| Apr 21 18:55:00 | 29m 00s | Super Splash Fistiguffs | It was pretty hard to test this by myself especially since I don't have access to 4 Xbox controllers (only an arcade stick and a PS2 pad connected via USB) and I had to edit the controls so I could actually playtest the game without requiring the minimum number of controllers needed but I like how well polished this entry is and how well it fits the theme. |
| Apr 21 19:54:00 | 59m 00s | Dislocator | Pretty fun and unique concept. I really liked how the stun gun works pushing the enemy back. |
| Apr 21 20:19:00 | 25m 00s | TennisTime | Pretty nice concept and I really liked the retro look although some of the puzzles were quite hard. |
| Apr 21 20:36:00 | 17m 00s | Gift Of The Gods | Is it bad that I actually refreshed the game page several times so I could get the other weapon? The game itself was quite fun to play (the music really sets the mood) and I really loved the sheer hilarity of killing monsters with buttered toast and the randomness makes it even more replayable. You should definitely add more random household items (or maybe add some random dungeon generation to keep things more interesting). |
| Apr 21 21:07:00 | 31m 00s | Unconventional Universal Remote | Those robots are ridiculously relentless when they chase you but I really liked the concept and I absolutely loved the voice-over. |
| Apr 21 23:17:00 | 2h 10m | My Dear Pencil | Pretty cool concept and I absolutely loved the music and hand-drawn art. |
| Apr 21 23:41:00 | 24m 00s | SquadaBOOM | Pretty nice concept. Also congratulations on making your first Ludum Dare game :D |
| Apr 22 00:08:00 | 27m 00s | Word Smith | Pretty cool concept. I really liked how players could customise their swords (in some way) and how longer swords had more reach but were more slow and vice-versa. Also the WebGL build loads pretty slow so I ended up playing the desktop version. |
| Apr 22 00:25:00 | 17m 00s | Nightstalkers | Not sure if there was any sound (because I think it would improved this entry a lot more) and there are some fault (the green enemies seem to be too fast to hit) but this is a pretty ok game. |
| Apr 22 00:43:00 | 18m 00s | Collapse | I actually find the fact that your deathtrap is pretty much controlled by a little hamster on a wheel to be rather hilarious. It's a pretty fun entry to play but it doesn't seems to be quite challenging enough. |
| Apr 22 00:53:00 | 10m 00s | Sticks and Stones | Nice wordplay (in a literal sense). The concept is pretty well done too. |
| Apr 22 01:09:00 | 16m 00s | ldds | Interesting concept but the actual gameplay itself seems to be quite confusing (Ended up killing all the enemies and nothing was happening afterwards). |
| Apr 22 10:42:00 | 9h 33m | Mecha Cop 2875 | Absolutely loved the look and feel of this game especially the little warning that comes up when you kill a civilian which I'll admit was appearing for me quite a lot as it was pretty hard to tell them apart from actual criminals when you're trying to open fire. |
| Apr 22 13:40:00 | 2h 58m | Cassette | This was actually pretty fun to play. I loved the art style and the puzzles were well thought out. Also I was amused at how the mixtape has fire on it :p |
| Apr 22 14:49:00 | 1h 09m | Eye Rush | This was really fun to play. I liked the retro Gameboy style and I loved experimenting with the eyeball mechanics (I was actually playing this with an arcade stick plugged into my pc for that extra retro feel). |
| Apr 22 16:57:00 | 2h 08m | Sal and Papa | I find the fact you're putting salt and pepper on things that shouldn't have salt and pepper (like donuts) to be truly unconventional indeed. Anyway, I loved the graphics and I think having your son do the voiceovers adds a really nice touch to the game. |
| Apr 22 18:27:00 | 1h 30m | Just a dream... | This was harder than I expected but it's a pretty interesting concept. Also like others have said, some creepy ambient music would have improved the game a lot. |
| Apr 22 18:53:00 | 26m 00s | Frazzle Dazzle | Absolutely loved the platforming mechanics. I could see you've pretty much thought of everything you could with a hairdryer. A fun game overall with nice art and audio. |
| Apr 22 23:28:00 | 4h 35m | PALBOT | I enjoyed the mechanics and I loved the amount of detail you've put into the tutorial. |
| Apr 23 01:24:00 | 1h 56m | Character Assassination | Absolutely loved the audio. The game mechanics were pretty well done plus delivering the final zinger reminds me a lot of Phoenix Wright (must be the music and sound effects). |
| Apr 23 01:47:00 | 23m 00s | Spread The Village | It was pretty fun zapping things with lightning bolts although I think the win condition (1000 houses) might be a bit too big. |
| Apr 23 12:13:00 | 10h 26m | Get Off My Land | This was so fun to play. I loved the voxel style and how hilariously well thought out the mechanics worked plus I liked how the tempo of the background music starts increasing when more signs are being put up. The only gripe I have however was that the camera tracking was a bit too rough and disorientating at times. |
| Apr 23 12:40:00 | 27m 00s | Floats | Lack of save points was a bit annoying but other than that, I really liked the concept plus I think it would definitely work as a mobile game. Also I don't know if it's me but on both web and desktop builds, I couldn't see my key and artefact properly i.e. it didn't look like how it was in the screenshots (it could be a graphics card problem since I was playing this on my Surface Pro but I'll try and run this on my regular desktop and let you know if it occurs on there as well). |
| Apr 23 14:43:00 | 2h 03m | TANKED | Loved the upgrade progression on this. It was really fun replaying the game and trying out different weapon combinations. |
| Apr 23 15:31:00 | 48m 00s | Sun Wukong | Absolutely loved the amount of detail put into this (especially in 3 days). The gameplay mechanics and level design was really great and fits the character very well. |
| Apr 23 16:26:00 | 55m 00s | RELIC | A bit short but I loved the story and the robot was pretty humorous. The only problem was that the player moved a bit too slow (the floaty jump physics is fair game since it is set in space). |
| Apr 23 17:01:00 | 35m 00s | ICE CREAM | I should feel bad for running all these children over but this was ridiculously addictive plus the art style is absolutely amazing. |
| Apr 23 17:21:00 | 20m 00s | TLDR OTT - An Unconventional Weapon | Probably one of the best Twine games I've played so far. Every possible story path was absolutely interesting. |
| Apr 23 19:47:00 | 2h 26m | Music of the Spheres | Pretty difficult but I actually like the concept (especially how the audio is a major factor in the game). |
| Apr 23 20:49:00 | 1h 02m | Quiver of Claws | Unfortunately a bit too short but I like the concept (I found the rhino arrows pretty hilarious) and I loved the visual style although it's a bit too easy to run out of arrows if you're not too careful. |
| Apr 23 22:27:00 | 1h 38m | Fight The Sleep | Pretty simple but I like the concept. I think it might be better if you keep switching the placement of the coffee room every now (because I find it a bit too easy to just camp there and hurl coffee cups like no tomorrow). Also is it me or does the player character look a lot like Brock from Pokemon :P? |
| Apr 23 23:42:00 | 1h 15m | Very hot place | The player was a bit too small to see at first but I absolutely loved the water gun physics and the soundtrack was pretty nice. |
| Apr 24 00:27:00 | 45m 00s | Sword in a mirror | The platforming physics are probably a bit too unforgiving but I absolutely loved the concept (especially the recall mechanic) and the puzzle design was well thought out. |
| Apr 24 00:52:00 | 25m 00s | Beep Boop | Slightly difficult due to how the checkpoints are paced out but I loved the mechanics and the Game and Watch style graphics. |
| Apr 24 14:26:00 | 13h 34m | Terrornado | This was really fun to play plus I loved the hand-drawn pencil art style. |
| Apr 24 14:41:00 | 15m 00s | Splitting Hares | I like the concept and the rather gory art style. Would have liked the movement of the bunnies to be a lot smoother though instead of jumping from one position to another every frame. |
| Apr 24 16:21:00 | 1h 40m | An Unconventional Title | Controls definitely need some working on (there were times where it felt like I was jumping into an invisible wall) but the concept itself (creating platforms) does have some potential. |
| Apr 24 16:36:00 | 15m 00s | Cereal Killer | Ignoring the broken mess that is Unity's WebGL exporter, this was a pretty good entry and a solid take on the tower defense genre. |
| Apr 24 16:52:00 | 16m 00s | Narwhal Assassin: Our first Ludum Dare game | A bit short but I like the concept and I love the fact that you added an achievements screen despite the fact that there's only one achievement available. |
| Apr 24 17:15:00 | 23m 00s | Insomnia | The collision detection definitely needs fixing as it doesn't seem to work (making the error console constantly pop up). |
| Apr 24 17:21:00 | 6m 00s | How I Lost Your Mother | Pretty buggy but the concept is interesting plus I like how the audio matches the mood of the game. |
| Apr 24 17:26:00 | 5m 00s | Chef Adventure | Game seems to be rather incomplete as there seems to be no indication of any instructions (I could move and jump with arrow keys/WASD and space). I do like the graphics though. |
| Apr 24 23:42:00 | 6h 16m | The B Team | You don't see much JRPG style games in Ludum Dare but I liked this rather fun twist on the genre (even though the game itself is more of a point and click puzzler than an actual rpg) plus I loved the subtle humour you've added in. |
| Apr 25 01:23:00 | 1h 41m | ChromaGun | Absolutely love the concept. Probably one of the best takes on the theme so far plus I like the fact that you actually went out there and made an online editor for people to share their own levels. Also, that song that plays in the credits screen is amazing ;D |
| Apr 25 18:25:00 | 17h 02m | WEEABO QUEST | Definitely one of the more stranger entries I've seen. I did have a good laugh though. |
| Apr 26 00:53:00 | 6h 28m | Hoard Hearder | Game does seem incomplete but I do like how the player can use the meat and torches to distract the zombie hordes (I'm pretty sure the gun is meant to useless) plus I love how the graphics and audio fit in with the mood. |
| Apr 26 01:14:00 | 21m 00s | Mystic Stickup | The controls do take some getting used to (especially the sudden key changes) but once you get to used it, everything becomes very easy. Anyway, it's a brilliant take on the theme and I love how there are different possible outcomes after the thug becomes hypnotised. |
| Apr 26 14:25:00 | 13h 11m | Tomorrow | The concept is interesting but like others have said, there appears to be no clear indication of any score or progress bar to tell how far I'm into the game. I do like the graphics and audio though. |
| Apr 26 16:32:00 | 2h 07m | Ninja Swapper | The game is very unforgiving (I think I've died on the 3rd level about 20 times now) but I absolutely love the swapping mechanic and how it's cleverly used. |
| Apr 26 17:31:00 | 59m 00s | MegaWave | A bit short but I like how getting hit just once causes you to lose and start again (in some sort of insane hard mode that actually fits this boss battle) plus I loved all these animations you've managed to put in. |
| Apr 26 21:57:00 | 4h 26m | Zombie Broom | Unfortunately it appears to be too repetitive since you're constantly moving to the same room, fighting the same one zombie (with no clear indication of any increase in difficulty) but I do like the humour of using the broom to fend yourself plus the atmosphere you've set is pretty much on point. |
| Apr 26 22:24:00 | 27m 00s | Green and Blue | Surprisingly hard during the later levels but I love the concept. You should definitely polish it up and work on a full-fledged post-compo version. |
| Apr 26 22:55:00 | 31m 00s | Lagman | Annoyingly hard, but in a good way. It's a very interesting take on the theme and I love how it's used in the game. |
| Apr 27 00:09:00 | 1h 14m | Night Light | Controls were pretty awkward but the concept itself is interesting and I do like the creepy atmosphere you've managed to set up in the game. |
| Apr 27 13:18:00 | 13h 09m | Zombies 'N' Marshmallows | As some people have already mentioned, it's probably a bit too easy by simply luring the zombies to the campfire but I like the use of the marshmallows as a weapon (it's like you're giving the zombies diabetes :O) plus being able to combine the stick and marshmallow and then roast it on a fire is a nice bonus. |
| Apr 27 13:30:00 | 12m 00s | Tinka The Turtle | Doesn't really fit the theme but I do like the particle effects plus I love those self-made (I assume) ping sounds. |
| Apr 27 13:53:00 | 23m 00s | Clean Killings | It's a shame you weren't able to get sounds done on time and the controls were pretty awkward but other than that, the game itself was quite fun to play. Also, congrats on finishing your first game jam/Ludum Dare :D |
| Apr 27 17:11:00 | 3h 18m | Ghost in the Machine | Firstly, congrats on completing your 1st Ludum Dare. Anyway, this was actually really good for a Twine game and the story was very engaging (I liked the whole game within a game approach). |
| Apr 27 18:31:00 | 1h 20m | Lucifer.exe | The intro was quite amusing. Also I think the enemies on the 3rd level (the dogs) are slightly buggy. Didn't see them move. |
| Apr 27 18:57:00 | 26m 00s | Boxmagedon | Fun game but doesn't seem to fit the theme much. |
| Apr 28 01:26:00 | 6h 29m | Sling | Pretty cool concept and the level design is spot-on as well. |
| Apr 28 22:23:00 | 20h 57m | A.R.B.F. | Well that was insanely fun. Great take on the theme and I love how the choice of weapons for both the player and the boss is random every time for extra replay-ability. |
| Apr 29 01:08:00 | 2h 45m | Weapon Shortage | Absolutely loved the crafting aspect of the game and the fact that you can unlock even more ridiculous items for crafting makes it even more compelling. Definitely one of the best takes on the theme. |
| Apr 29 01:42:00 | 34m 00s | ERR | I liked the idea of "breaking the game" to beat the game although I think it might be a bit too easy to exploit (somehow I teleported outside the arena with no way to get back properly). |
| Apr 29 12:37:00 | 10h 55m | Megane Fever | Cute and hilariously funny to play (any game that lets me flip tables at people is an instant win in my books). Absolutely great take on the theme. |
| Apr 29 12:51:00 | 14m 00s | Gradience | Game seems to freeze a lot on both Firefox and Chrome (at places like dying in endless, finishing the tutorial and completing the 1st level of normal) but the concept itself is pretty cool. |
| Apr 29 13:23:00 | 32m 00s | Evil Alien Goo | The idea's not too bad but it does seem a bit imbalanced (resource generation seems pretty slow). |
| Apr 29 13:39:00 | 16m 00s | The Earl's Owl | I like the idea a lot but the controls are far too sluggish to use. |
| Apr 29 23:05:00 | 9h 26m | High Fiverer | This was so fun to play although it gets a bit hard to control the player as your speed increases in a combo. Also I do wish there was some indication when the current combo is about to finish (I think it might be there but I might have missed it since the combo timer itself seems a bit too short). |
| Apr 30 17:59:00 | 18h 54m | Star Driller Ultra | Visually this game is absolutely stunning. It starts off a bit slow but by the time you get to level 7, it becomes so intense it gets a lot harder to keep track of things (especially since there's no minimap/radar of some sort). |
| Apr 30 18:25:00 | 26m 00s | A Month in Z32 | Pretty interesting story. I like the whole exploration aspect of it although exploring the asteroid doesn't seem to affect the plot whatsoever (just whether the alarm gets tripped or not). |
| Apr 30 18:35:00 | 10m 00s | Happy Face vs Bad Robots | It's a shame you weren't able to get the weapon mechanics done on time but based on how you described them, they do sound quite interesting. |
| Apr 30 18:46:00 | 11m 00s | Gravity | Pretty difficult but I like the gravity switching mechanic a lot. |
| Apr 30 18:58:00 | 12m 00s | Unconventional Office Wars | For something that was done in 12 hours, it's a nice little game but the camera view is too zoomed out plus it's hard to spot the player. |
| Apr 30 21:04:00 | 2h 06m | Her Majesty's Apathy Bomb | I love how the narrative dynamically changes in a humorous way plus it was really fun working out how to get all 6 endings. |
| Apr 30 21:57:00 | 53m 00s | TUNDRA | Easily one of the best Twine games I've played this LD and not just because it's presented in a more visually appealing way compared to most other Twine games. The story was very engaging and had me completely gripped every step of the way. |
| May 1 00:54:00 | 2h 57m | All You Need Is Love | Takes a ridiculous amount of love to actually take out one single enemy but the concept itself is pretty interesting. |
| May 1 15:12:00 | 14h 18m | Tim's Bad Day | Absolutely loved the audio and I liked how the spiders get faster as time goes on. |
| May 1 15:20:00 | 8m 00s | Nasal Defense Force 2033 | I don't know which I should be more worried about: The amount of junk stuck up this guy's nose or his ridiculously long index fingers. The end part is pretty trippy though. |
| May 1 15:50:00 | 30m 00s | Mow-A-Mole | Took me some time to work out that brown patches were bad but I liked the concept and I loved the voxel art style you used. In terms of gameplay, I found the quickest winning solution was to straight up ignore the molehills and only take them out if they're very near. Also it's a bit pointless to continue playing if there are no possible green patches available. |
| May 1 16:06:00 | 16m 00s | ScarKrow | I loved the concept and the visual style and I think it would definitely work as a mobile title. |
| May 1 18:01:00 | 1h 55m | Selfie Assault! | I wish the green enemies had a bit more life into them but the concept itself was pretty cool and interesting and I think it would work really well in a horror game (like some sort of Fatal Frame/Project Zero for the Twitter age). |
| May 1 18:55:00 | 54m 00s | Loquacious Lepus | Took me a while to work how out to actually kill the enemies but the idea itself was pretty interesting plus I liked the acapella music. |
| May 1 21:53:00 | 2h 58m | KNIGHT | The pacing of the game is far too slow (I like the animations but I think they should be a bit faster) and it's a shame you couldn't get sound done on time (would have improved it by a lot) but other than that, I loved the mirror shield mechanic.

Also, the embed version of the game appears to be broken. |
| May 2 15:38:00 | 17h 45m | Type Fighter | I loved the counter-spell mechanic a lot (adds a rather fresh take on most typing games out there). |
| May 2 16:42:00 | 1h 04m | Stoned Scarecrow | I loved the pixelart style but in terms of gameplay, I found the initial shot speed to be a bit too slow. |
| May 2 16:55:00 | 13m 00s | The Landscape Processor | Lack of theme aside, this is a rather nice and relaxing game. I do wish there was a feature to take screenshots of your finished landscape though :) |
| May 2 17:55:00 | 1h 00m | SLICK LICKER | The concept is pretty interesting but I feel like there's too much going on in one screen. |
| May 2 18:18:00 | 23m 00s | Scoria | No idea why you decided to opt out of all the other categories because I would have given really good scores for them. Anyway the concept itself definitely has a lot of potential. |
| May 2 20:20:00 | 2h 02m | e=i formulae | Took me a while to realise I was meant to go to where the boats are (I think next time you should have the game start from there so people won't get confused). I liked the gameplay concept though. |
| May 2 20:26:00 | 6m 00s | PukeMan | Great take on a classic game. Had an absolute laugh playing this. |
| May 2 20:33:00 | 7m 00s | Ninja Shine | The concept is pretty interesting although I would like to see some sound effects from the enemies so I know that they're being hit by the flashlight. Also your friend makes some really sick beats :) |
| May 2 22:51:00 | 2h 18m | Ay Pinatas! | Too bad there's no sound (I would have prefer something like mariachi band :V) but this is a pretty solid entry plus I like the idea of killing the player character if it has too much candy than it can handle. |
| May 2 23:50:00 | 59m 00s | Miyu | This was a rather nice relaxing entry plus I really liked the mechanics. |
| May 3 14:13:00 | 14h 23m | BOOMerang! | Hilariously funny concept but it's kind of hard to aim the boomerang (the throwing power might be too high as well) and the placement of the run buttons is pretty awkward. |
| May 4 15:51:00 | 25h 38m | Wounded by Words | For a visual novel, the story is pretty deep and interesting plus I loved the characterisation. |
| May 4 17:48:00 | 1h 57m | Off to the Races | I love the look of this entry. Reminds me a lot of those fairground games at the seaside. I was playtesting this on my own but I can imagine how frantic it can get in multiplayer especially since everyone's on the same keyboard (plus the whole key switching mechanic). |
| May 4 18:35:00 | 47m 00s | I Must Return | I love the work you've done to make each weapon work differently but at the moment, the game seems to be too unbalanced. The spawn time for weapons is a bit long and there doesn't seem to be enough throwing power for the weapons meaning that it's too easy for the enemies to destroy the portal (the best solution so far is to lure them away). |
| May 4 21:40:00 | 3h 05m | Boreocracy | Well that was rather strange. I thought I was going through some mundane quest and then all of a sudden the security guard seemingly offs himself. Judging from the "More Soon" sign, I think there was some stuff you wanted to add but didn't have any time to but other than that I loved the atmosphere you've set in the game. |
| May 4 22:12:00 | 32m 00s | Doorman | AI needs some working on (It always seem to move to my position even when we're between walls) but other than that, I absolutely loved the main gameplay mechanic. |
| May 4 23:06:00 | 54m 00s | An Unconventional Sound | Seems pretty hard to reach the top parts (is it pitch controlled?) but this is a pretty cool and innovative concept. |
| May 5 00:49:00 | 1h 43m | Retroflect | Pretty cool and addictive concept although it seems pretty hard to reach level 10. |
| May 5 01:05:00 | 16m 00s | Sorry Humans | Pretty hard but interesting concept. Definitely reminds me of FTL a lot. |
| May 5 01:17:00 | 12m 00s | Ghost Alone | Seems pretty easy to kill the looters thanks to the physics system in the game but this was a really fun and addictive concept. |
| May 5 14:44:00 | 13h 27m | Soccer Cows | Harder than it looks but incredibly silly and absolutely fun to play. A multiplayer version of this definitely needs to happen. |
| May 5 15:38:00 | 54m 00s | Unconventional Earth | Pretty good concept. I would probably suggest making the player and enemy towers look different from each other (maybe by colour?) so it's easy to tell them apart. I loved the SNES style music though. |
| May 5 18:23:00 | 2h 45m | Where's Manno | Probably the most trippiest and confusing entry I've ever played. |
| May 5 18:44:00 | 21m 00s | Color Blind | Simple but well executed idea. I loved the minimalistic graphics. |
| May 5 21:04:00 | 2h 20m | Roombacalypse | The roomba probably moves a bit too slow but I absolutely love the concept. Definitely the most 'clean' fun I've ever had (and none of the mess) :V |
| May 5 23:13:00 | 2h 09m | Safer in the Dark | Pretty cool concept plus I loved the mood you've set. |
| May 5 23:23:00 | 10m 00s | Battle of Tolzford | Pretty cool jrpg tribute. I loved the subtle humour and the retro graphic style. |
| May 6 15:48:00 | 16h 25m | Vacuum Maiden | Controls are a bit awkward but the concept is pretty cool and I love how well you've fleshed out the sucking/shooting mechanics. |
| May 6 17:45:00 | 1h 57m | Orion's Battle | Takes some time to get used to the controls but I do like the idea of using your only means of defence to move your ship. |
| May 6 18:12:00 | 27m 00s | MagDef | Initial rotation speed is a bit too slow but the primary mechanic itself is pretty cool. I would probably suggest adding keyboard shortcuts to the upgrade options because it's a bit awkward having to move my other hand from my mouse to the keyboard just use the pulse. |
| May 6 18:40:00 | 28m 00s | Mable: The Journey | Amazing visuals and I like the gameplay mechanics a lot plus I love how the enemy you got killed by has a randomly generated game. |
| May 6 18:49:00 | 9m 00s | Hula Fighter | This was such a strange but humorous entry to play plus I like the low-fi charm of those digitised graphics. |
| May 6 19:02:00 | 13m 00s | Ice Story ( koori monogatari 氷物語 ) | I loved the Bubble Bobble inspired gameplay as well as the retro graphics and audio. My only gripe is that throwing is a bit awkward as I have to hold down the Z key first before pressing the X key (since pressing X makes the character jump). |
| May 6 22:51:00 | 3h 49m | Mutiny on Samovar V | Bit awkward playtesting this by myself but I love how each player has their own unique abilities plus I like the art style a lot. |
| May 6 23:20:00 | 29m 00s | Spinnicus | "Get Over Here!!" Oh wait wrong game.

Simple mechanic but I like how well it's implemented in this game plus I love how you've managed to capture the Roman Colosseum aesthetic. |
| May 8 01:19:00 | 25h 59m | Speechless | I like the idea of learning words from enemies for combat although the game itself can be quite confusing at moments (even after reading through the tutorial several times). |
| May 8 01:40:00 | 21m 00s | Legend of the Barber | I like the setting/premise of the game but it's probably a bit too text heavy and there doesn't seem to be anything else other than just combat. |
| May 8 13:23:00 | 11h 43m | Eyes that Fry | I liked the laser refraction mechanic although the laser itself is sort of hard to aim correctly (especially at the later levels). Also I think the core needs a better visual indicator for when it's about to blow up (maybe change it to a red colour?). |
| May 8 13:43:00 | 20m 00s | The Guardian | Painfully too short but I like the idea of using your pixels (or pretty much your lifeforce) as a weapon (the stealth elements were well thought out too) plus I absolutely loved the soundtrack. |
| May 9 16:37:00 | 26h 54m | Food Fighter 2000 | A bit buggy (I think there was one instance where I got catapulted behind the game arena) but pretty solid gameplay mechanics. I also loved the voxel artwork your kids had done for the game as well. I think the one thing it needs is some more noise (otherwise it won't feel like it's a food fight :D) |
| May 9 16:59:00 | 22m 00s | Rage the Stage | I loved the animations and the game itself isn't exactly too difficult but most of the time I found it slightly easier to just push the fans off the stage. Also I actually found rage mode to be more of a hindrance as it's a bit inaccurate at times. |
| May 9 18:05:00 | 1h 06m | Hush | Very fun and unique mechanics and the puzzles were very well thought out (the snap definitely made things a bit easier) plus I liked the enchanted forest setting. |
| May 9 18:23:00 | 18m 00s | Ultimate Booter | I loved the CRT style effects and the MegaMan inspired gameplay but the game speed is probably a bit too high (especially when the player character jumps) |
| May 10 01:37:00 | 7h 14m | Love is in the air | I liked the graphics and the puzzles were well planned out but the control scheme is rather annoying at times. |
| May 10 20:10:00 | 18h 33m | Navennni | Pretty interesting game even though most of it is down to chance. |
| May 10 22:00:00 | 1h 50m | Affectionate Armament | Bit awkward trying to playtest this by myself but I liked the idea of having to "sweet-talk" in order to steal the weapon and the fact that the weapon itself can go berserk at any point adds an extra dynamic. |
| May 10 22:46:00 | 46m 00s | Blockmancer | I liked the concept although the block throwing controls were pretty awkward at times. |
| May 10 23:01:00 | 15m 00s | Unconventional Stick Swinging Simulator | Man those are some really silly physics. The general glitchiness of the game adds quite a lot of humour. |
| May 10 23:29:00 | 28m 00s | Robo Mission | I liked the hacking mechanic but the way it's implemented is pretty clunky. For starters, it's very awkward having to click on the textbox to enter commands and then click outside in order to run them (ideally it would probably be better to let the textbox have focus whenever you open up the panel and let the player run commands by pressing enter inside the textbox rather than outside). |
| May 11 01:35:00 | 2h 06m | Stain | Takes a couple of plays to get used to but I really like the concept of using the opposite colour on the wheel to inflict maximum damage. |
| May 11 14:28:00 | 12h 53m | Space Cowboy | Pretty interesting idea and I loved the sound effects but definitely not a fan of the mouse pointer being locked to the centre of the screen. Also some visual effects to show where you're shooting (like a laser) would be nice. |
| May 11 14:40:00 | 12m 00s | Feed The Birds | Took me a while to figure out how to actually throw the bread but this was absolutely hilarious to play and a pretty great take on the theme. |
| May 11 14:56:00 | 16m 00s | Do as I say | I loved the mechanics and the puzzles were really well designed although it was a bit awkward aiming the megaphone itself. |
| May 11 15:10:00 | 14m 00s | Potat0wned | Loved the potato song in the background although I would have preferred it if I could still move even while being pelted by what seems to be cabbages. |
| May 11 15:47:00 | 37m 00s | Bango | Mechanics could be explained more better as it took me a while to get used to it but I like the concept. Also the score always seems to show as 0 after the game is over. |
| May 11 16:59:00 | 1h 12m | Math Vs. Zombies | I thought this was a game where you actually use math to kill the zombies but I was sorely disappointed. I loved the pixel art though and the game itself is not too bad (and maybe a bit too easy). |
| May 11 17:18:00 | 19m 00s | Alien Escape | I like the concept and I like the idea of being able to grab your enemies and throw them at each other but the angle that the map is shown at needs to be a bit higher as there are some maps where the tiles are blocked from the view (but can still be traversed). |
| May 11 17:33:00 | 15m 00s | Crump Rush | Jump physics are slightly too floaty but I loved the mechanics for both the magnet and laser and how each level actually puts both of them to great use. |
| May 11 17:52:00 | 19m 00s | Suprématie de l'amour | Interesting concept and I like the pixelart but it's a bit too easy (managed to complete it in 4:56) and it could do with some sound. |
| May 11 18:21:00 | 29m 00s | Ultra Hat Dimension | Amazing take on the push block puzzle genre. I love how well polished this entry is and how well thought out each level is designed plus I liked the pow sounds. |
| May 11 18:47:00 | 26m 00s | Monster Detective Agency | Interesting concept (I think you should try and port this as a VR game) but there's probably too many monsters to profile and I wish there was a way of knowing if you got the right suspect (like an audio cue of some sort). |
| May 11 20:07:00 | 1h 20m | Smileraser | I love the concept and the hand drawn art and eraser effects actually fits the game very well but the number of "strokes" needed to actually erase something needs to be reduced. |
| May 11 20:37:00 | 30m 00s | This Sucks | This was hilarious yet disturbing at the same time. I loved how the vacuum gun worked. As a suggestion, I think you should add in moments where the gun would jam due to a blockage like a real vacuum (well, the old non-bagless ones) so people don't rely on the sucking part too much. Also, mega kudos for using Unreal Engine 4 (since I haven't actually seen someone use this in LD before). |
| May 11 20:55:00 | 18m 00s | Dick Fighter | Pretty dumb but I loved the crude absurdity of it. |
| May 11 21:53:00 | 58m 00s | Cat's Heaven | Could do with some sound but the aspects of the kitty cannon being randomised every few seconds is an interesting idea. |
| May 11 22:07:00 | 14m 00s | Static Charge 'Cleaner' 5000 | Too bad there's no sound but I like the primary gameplay mechanic (although the player could be a bit faster so it's easier to dodge stuff) and I love the random level generation. |
| May 11 22:27:00 | 20m 00s | Terraforming | It's a bit buggy (there was an instance where I got stuck between two platforms and couldn't move and another instance where there was a huge amount of slowdown and I couldn't jump) but I like the mechanics and the Metroid inspired level design. |
| May 12 00:21:00 | 1h 54m | My Voice is My Weapon | I loved the customisation aspects of the game (especially the synthetic voice) but it's literally too hard to find the player since all the actors in the game are too small. |
| May 12 00:50:00 | 29m 00s | Beermageddon | For something that was done in just a day, this is a pretty solid entry. Found it quite funny spreading joy through alcohol. |
| May 12 00:55:00 | 5m 00s | DROP IT! | Loved the music and the different effects of each weapon. |
| May 12 00:59:00 | 4m 00s | Toaster Defense | I actually like how you can charge your shots and get burning toast for more firepower. |
| May 12 01:05:00 | 6m 00s | Pogo Dojo | This is like the platforming in the old NES Ducktales games but on steroids. Extremely fun mechanics and definitely worth replaying over and over. |
