Aug 25 22:48:00 Moonlight This was really fun to play and I really loved the art style plus I found it quite funny how the werewolf looks so casual when he's sliding :D
Aug 25 23:31:00 43m 00s NotZilla: Ice Cream Vendor Controls were insanely difficult (especially on keyboard) but I found the concept to be absolutely hilarious (especially the little reversing sound NotZilla makes). <br/> <br/>The only problem I have is that control sensitivity needs some adjustment (I literally had to hold the key down for 3 seconds to move so I ended up doing short hops instead to move across the level faster). Gamepad controls weren't working for me properly as well (although it might be because I was using InputMapper with a PS4 pad rather than an actual Xbox controller).
Aug 26 01:10:00 1h 39m The Empty I loved the voxel style and the narrative was pretty interesting (albeit it was a bit confusing at times). The way the story ends fits the theme very well.
Aug 26 01:39:00 29m 00s Fired I liked the idea that you're playing as the bullet rather than the shooter but like others have said, the controls need some work (I couldn't even tell whether my mouse pointer was influencing the bullet's path).
Aug 26 13:07:00 11h 28m Island Terror Pretty solid entry. I liked the idea of the terror meter preventing islanders leaving the safe confines of their village.
Aug 26 14:42:00 1h 35m Edge of Grey Pretty good entry. I loved the Dark Souls inspired gameplay and aesthetics.
Aug 26 16:26:00 1h 44m Curse Those Heroes Bit awkward testing this on my own but I love this interesting take on the gameplay of Donkey Kong. Took me a while to figure out how to use the Warlock's orbs properly but once you master them, you can make some really interesting strategies.
Aug 26 17:15:00 49m 00s Cutesy destroyer of worlds It's a shame you couldn't get the sound to work but I like the idea a lot.
Aug 26 18:18:00 1h 03m Monster Date This was pretty funny to play. Absolutely loved the dialogue choices.
Aug 26 18:30:00 12m 00s Surf Monster Controls were surprisingly hard but I do find the idea of Dracula using his coffin as a surfboard to be quite amusing.
Aug 26 18:43:00 13m 00s A cup of tea with my Aunti MICROPHONE REQUIRED Absolutely loved the idea of using your voice to control your character plus I loved the assets you found for the game (fits the theme very well).
Aug 26 19:52:00 1h 09m Super Snack Time! Pretty fun entry. I liked the whole risk/reward mechanic of making sure your plants get fed even if you have to let the Marios progress a bit further.
Aug 26 20:34:00 42m 00s Tale of the Descendant Absolutely loved the storytelling in this. I actually like each dialogue choice can affect the prince's sanity.
Aug 26 21:33:00 59m 00s Player Rush Wooo 2nd place on the leaderboards (at the moment)!! It's a shame you didn't have time to add more enemy attacks (something like ranged attack from mage/ranger-like classes would have been cool) but I liked the idea of playing as a dungeon raid boss plus I loved the attack animations.
Aug 27 13:52:00 16h 19m B(L)OB This was surprisingly fun to play. It probably would have been better if there was some visual indicator to what power up you got (e.g. change Bob to the colour of the ooze he just absorbed) as I couldn't tell whether I had powered up or not plus it's a bit too easy to gain mass and density but overall a solid entry.
Aug 27 14:07:00 15m 00s 40 and still a Zombie Not sure if the controls in part 3 were being unresponsive but parts 1 and 2 were pretty hilarious especially that little electrocution animation in part 1.
Aug 27 14:37:00 30m 00s My planet needs me! A few bugs here or there and it probably would have better if the spotlight was a different colour as it's quite hard to tell if you're hidden or not but overall it's an interesting concept.
Aug 27 16:22:00 1h 45m Blob I think I might have glitched the game during the village level (I possessed one of the bat creatures and flew all the way to the end then dispossessed it and ended up getting stuck in the air) but I actually like idea of possessing various creatures and using their unique abilities to progress through the game.
Aug 27 17:19:00 57m 00s What Have I Become? I actually like how the UI's glitchy effects starts revealing that something's definitely not right as you progress through the game.
Aug 27 17:49:00 30m 00s The Mammoth: A Cave Painting Really liked the art style and the Bastion-esque dynamic narration in this plus it was absolutely fun demolishing the villages in revenge :)
Aug 27 19:03:00 1h 14m Monsters...BRAWL! The AI is pretty relentless but it does a valiant job at being credible opponents when you play this on your own. I also like the fact that even if you die, you can still block your opponents and activate the traps in ghost form.
Aug 27 19:16:00 13m 00s HUTAP - HUman TArget Practice Pretty simple but I kinda like the combo system. Might be more interesting if the ropes sometimes would swing to give the illusion that the "targets" are moving though.
Aug 27 21:11:00 1h 55m HOST Kept replaying this loads of times so I could try and get all the possible endings. The one where you get arrested was pretty hilarious.
Aug 28 00:52:00 3h 41m MonsterMystery The speed at which the camera changes angles could be a bit smoother (at times it's too fast and jarring) but I loved the models you've made for the game and the story was very engaging.
Aug 28 01:21:00 29m 00s A Bad Wolf King is Hard to Feed There were some times where the camera was actually more of a hindrance but I loved the voxel art style and the huge size of the game world plus I liked the little jingle that plays when you find a gem.
Aug 28 11:52:00 10h 31m Warrior Of Dragons This was absolutely fun to play. I like the gameboy style graphics and I love how the battle minigame gets harder when your days start running out.
Aug 28 13:14:00 1h 22m Your Are The Slime! There's a issue with the web version where if you hold the up or down key you end up scrolling the page by accident and the time it takes to absorb a human is quite long but this was a pretty solid game.
Aug 28 13:34:00 20m 00s CYCLE This was absolutely fun to play. I loved experimenting with different element combinations in order to get create something new.
Aug 28 14:05:00 31m 00s Monster Production Not sure if I needed to be within a certain distance to scare people since going too close doesn't work and I'm pretty sure I've run into a collision bug where I seem to be blocked by an invisible wall for a few seconds but I like the concept.
Aug 28 14:46:00 41m 00s Coffee Quest Who knew a simple coffee run could start a devastating turn of events. Absolutely loved the humour in this plus that ending had me in stitches.
Aug 28 16:57:00 2h 11m Frankenstein's Monsters, Inc. Took some time to find a good way to generate that cashflow but I like the gameplay idea a lot.
Aug 28 17:47:00 50m 00s Monstory The only gripe I have is that there's no way to go back to the main menu once you finish a story unless you close and restart the game but pretty interesting use of the Twitter API.
Aug 29 00:12:00 6h 25m Cracked: Monster Run Either the squirrel could be faster or obstacles should appear more frequently but this was a pretty fun entry. I loved the shading for the squirrel model plus I found it quite amusing when it crashes into the console and bursts into confetti.
Aug 29 00:40:00 28m 00s PixelMonster Bit short but I like the idea a lot. You should definitely expand on this.
Aug 29 01:14:00 34m 00s GW: Bloddy Camp Quite hard to tell if you're attacking since there's no animation or anything but this was a pretty good entry plus I liked the models you used for the game.
Aug 29 22:03:00 20h 49m A Shadow In The Night Lack of a restart function definitely makes it slightly frustrating at times but I absolutely love the gameplay mechanics.
Aug 30 01:33:00 3h 30m Lady Bug Some of the levels were pretty hard (Must have died on the 3rd like 20 times) but I like the gameplay mechanics a lot (although the jumping is a bit floaty).
Aug 30 01:46:00 13m 00s Drunkula Pretty short but I like the art style plus the walking animation was quite amusing (something I'd expect from a drunk vampire). My only gripe is that there's no way of indicating clickable objects in the game when you hover over them.
Aug 30 13:26:00 11h 40m Flesh & Fish Pretty buggy but I like the concept especially the insanity mechanic.
Aug 30 13:59:00 33m 00s Monster of the Labyrinth Web version felt a bit laggy at times and the ambient lighting could be slightly brighter but I loved the shaders you've made for the game and the graphics and audio fit the mood perfectly.
Aug 30 14:22:00 23m 00s Dissident I liked the use of negative scoring to represent the number of slimes you've killed (instead of the other way around) plus the fact that the slimes are virtually harmless fits the theme quite well if you've basically decided to just massacre them all.
Aug 30 14:55:00 33m 00s Moon Base Shootout Once I saw the conveyor belt with all those infant aliens did I realise that something was definitely not right. Game overall was pretty fun although as others have said, the vacuum mechanic could be used more as sometimes it felt much easier to just shoot the aliens (maybe have a limited ammo capacity next time?).
Aug 30 22:05:00 7h 10m Sunset Monster Ended up playing the game on Baby mode so I could progress through the story faster but it was worth it for the little twist in the end plus I like the rather clean and simple art style.
Aug 31 00:53:00 2h 48m My Little Death Machine This was a rather humorous entry. The intro had me in bits plus I liked the hand-made art and sound effects.
Aug 31 01:35:00 42m 00s Disturbed Mind Even without audio, the story itself was pretty engaging (Pretty curious as to why you're being ordered to harvest those creatures)
Aug 31 01:53:00 18m 00s A Beautiful Day to DIE There's a bug in the game where sometimes enemies would spawn on top of a block making the current level unbeatable otherwise I love the primary mechanic of being essentially patient zero of a zombie outbreak plus I like the rather simplistic art style.
Aug 31 17:25:00 15h 32m Scream Hunter Stealth elements are pretty unforgiving (it's like they have eyes in the back of their heads) but I love the dynamic lighting in this entry.
Aug 31 17:49:00 24m 00s Agent The way the game was presented was quite interesting although most of the gameplay was just guesswork and I felt more could be added (like branching endings if you chose a different choice rather than being forced to start over if you apparently picked the "wrong" choice)
Aug 31 18:58:00 1h 09m MO&STER TV Managed to last 10 days whilst staying neutral. It's an interesting concept although the slider mini-game feels too random at times (the speed keeps fluctuating a lot).
Aug 31 20:03:00 1h 05m Cave Lord Pretty interesting take on the traditional JRPG game. I like how instead of the hero slaying monsters to get to the boss, it's the other way around.
Aug 31 21:41:00 1h 38m Echo, Whilst it does look similar to Dark Echo since they both use soundwaves, gameplay-wise I think it's actually more similar to something like the Metal Gear series where you observe enemy patrol patterns and decide whether you want to sneak past or risk taking them out. Anyway, this was a pretty fun entry and I would definitely play a more fleshed out version in the future.
Sep 1 01:03:00 3h 22m Lardum Managed to unlock all endings without using the code. Anyway, absolutely loved the humour in this entry.
Sep 1 01:34:00 31m 00s Maiden Voyage Platforming elements are a bit buggy (Sometimes you can get stuck on walls) but I like the animations plus the way that the monster throws the maiden was pretty amusing.
Sep 2 01:37:00 24h 03m Be:ComeMonster Interesting concept but the UI feels pretty cluttered and there's no clear indication of whether it's the player's or enemy's turn.
Sep 2 01:51:00 14m 00s Terror Bird Feeding Frenzy This was absolutely fun to play (probably a bit better than my own first person monster entry). Although I didn't need to, I ended up running into the civilians a lot as I found it quite hilarious when they get sent flying into the air.
Sep 2 01:55:00 4m 00s Cursed Pretty short but I love the hand-drawn art.
Sep 2 14:54:00 12h 59m Good Guys Always Win ! Apparently the movement controls still respond to the WASD keys which is a bit awkward since D is also mapped to Flamethrower. But anyway, this was a pretty fun entry to play and I had a little laugh when one of the projectiles you could throw was a Nokia 3310 (because we all know how tough these things are ;D)
Sep 2 15:11:00 17m 00s Night Feast The jumping animation could be a little shorter as the startup is pretty long but I like the bloodsucking mechanic plus that intro in the beginning was quite amusing.
Sep 2 15:23:00 12m 00s MonsCreaGame I like the create a monster aspect but there's no clear instruction over what it is I'm meant to do in the game.
Sep 2 15:35:00 12m 00s Princess Harem It's a shame you didn't have time to iron out the bugs before submission but I like the graphics.
Sep 2 17:01:00 1h 26m The 74% scientifically inaccurate cheese fabrication process Never looking at cheese making the same way again. Apart from a few issues such as the accuracy threshold for the slicing stage and the physics in the mould stage being broken if you're not careful, this was actually quite fun to play.
Sep 2 17:44:00 43m 00s Dino Domination Could do with some sound effects but this was pretty fun to play and I like the fire particles a lot.
Sep 2 18:14:00 30m 00s Hunter Spade Wish I knew exactly what that "Enable Core" button does but I like the turn-based mechanics.
Sep 2 20:09:00 1h 55m Something deep Quite a bit of strategy over which tentacle to unlock first but I absolutely loved the mechanics and the way the game progresses as you play along was very smooth.
Sep 2 20:53:00 44m 00s Fishbowl Definitely one of the strangest entries I've played. I love the surrealist art style you've used for the game.
Sep 2 21:10:00 17m 00s Kill It With Fire Wish I could do more than run around but I love the graphics and audio for this entry. Also fun fact: the first time I played this, I ran straight up - to the mob of angry villagers. It was ironically amusing.
Sep 2 21:23:00 13m 00s Brainless Attack Could do with an instructions screen of some sort to explain the controls a bit better but I really like the reverse tower defense aspects of this game.
Sep 2 21:33:00 10m 00s Rail Snake It's a shame you didn't manage to finish this on time and probably never will in the future because that idea seems to have a lot of potential.
Sep 2 21:44:00 11m 00s Justified Loved the background music and I like the way the game seemingly loops back to the start.
Sep 2 21:58:00 14m 00s Hindenboxer Pretty fun concept. I loved the lighting and shadows.
Sep 3 00:57:00 2h 59m Archaeologist Invasion Shame there's no sound but I like the Orcs Must Die style gameplay.
Sep 3 10:14:00 9h 17m Office Hours The camera tweening during rage mode could be toned down a bit but this was a very fun entry and I loved the transition from monochrome to full colour.
Sep 3 10:50:00 36m 00s On the Growth of Ludum Dare and the Selection of Themes This was so enjoyable to play through. Loved all the meta-references to Ludum Dare itself (Also maybe I should start taking a gander at the irc channnel at some point).
Sep 3 11:08:00 18m 00s Bird of Prey Pretty fun and simple entry. I like the way the other birds run away from your bird.
Sep 3 11:27:00 19m 00s Nessie: Quest for Fame WebGL version was a bit laggy (Might be because I was playtesting this on my Surface Pro 3) but this was very fun to play and I loved the water reflections.
Sep 3 14:13:00 2h 46m Morko Apart from the rough edges you've mentioned before such as the collision, I like the Bomberman-inspired mechanics. If you do manage to fix those bugs in the future, you should definitely expand on the idea.
Sep 3 15:49:00 1h 36m Dreadwolf Audio's apparently broken in the web version so downloaded the Windows version instead. I like the random level generation as well as the music and use of lighting.
Sep 3 16:11:00 22m 00s Shadow Creature Shame there's no audio but I like how the map updates in real time and the blink mechanic was pretty cool.
Sep 3 16:25:00 14m 00s Wumpus World - Hunting The Hunter Harder than it looks but I like this pretty cool take on the classic Hunt the Wumpus game.
Sep 3 16:40:00 15m 00s Monster is Life Somehow I became a Twitter famous Yeti :P This was a pretty fun entry and some of the dialogue was quite humorous.
Sep 3 19:53:00 3h 13m A day in the Life of a Ghost Pretty short but I enjoyed the story.
Sep 3 20:15:00 22m 00s Dude, Stop Love this hilarious take on the theme. Had so much fun being well, a complete asshole :P
Sep 3 22:22:00 2h 07m Send them to Hell! Loved the 16 bit style music and the Megaman inspired gameplay.
Sep 3 22:50:00 28m 00s From SLIME to KING I love the various abilities your slime could spawn with and the random level generation but the game itself is kinda unbalanced (enemies are ridiculously relentless).
Sep 3 23:34:00 44m 00s Prince Charming! Got 16690 with all upgrades maxed out. This was actually surprisingly fun to play although once you get enough upgrades you could just leave it running and just watch the chaos unfold. Also arrows OP :V
Sep 3 23:54:00 20m 00s Nombeast Jr. Pretty solid entry. Had so much fun terrorising villages and sucking all their crops and humans.
Sep 4 00:22:00 28m 00s Soul Eater This was a very fun platformer to play. I like how smooth the animations are and I loved the lighting in the darker cave sections.
Sep 4 00:52:00 30m 00s Windmills in the Sky Kinda wish I had someone else to play this with (as it's kinda awkward playtesting these kind of games on your own) but this was a pretty cool game and the mechanics were very interesting.
Sep 4 01:01:00 9m 00s MonsterCorp Apart from the tiny audio and the actual short length of the game, this was a pretty interesting entry to play and I had quite a lot of fun playing this over and over and working out which choices would ruin the company in the shortest time.
Sep 4 01:07:00 6m 00s Osuldorb Pretty solid platformer although it's a bit annoying when you're forced to start from the first level every time you die.
Sep 4 12:58:00 11h 51m Monster Companion Loved the mechanics and the use of the physics system in this entry. The fact that the smaller pet monsters can turn against you and slow you down if you use them as a meat shield too much was a pretty clever surprise. Overall, a very good game considering this is your first Ludum Dare (welcome btw :D).
Sep 4 13:24:00 26m 00s Level The City This was pretty fun to play (Maybe a bit better than my own attempt at a first person giant monster game ;D). Also I found it strangely funny that although you're a giant monster, the buildings are still bigger than you are.
Sep 4 13:48:00 24m 00s Basket Case Apart from the obvious slowdown that you get when you instantiate so many gameobjects in one go (btw you should look into object pooling concepts), the mechanics were actually pretty interesting. Not bad for your first Unity/game jam/LD game.
Sep 4 14:06:00 18m 00s TrippyL Wish there was a way for players to stay in a diagonal position but I like the Hotline Miami style gameplay as well as the lighting effects. Also, I'm pretty interested in that custom language you used to code the game in :)
Sep 4 15:40:00 1h 34m The Monster Files Found a bug where if you get a double KO in the fighting part, you still get a win but the battle music doesn't stop. Other than that, absolutely loved the storytelling plus the parts where you accuse the suspect of being the monster reminds me so much of the Ace Attorney games.
Sep 4 17:32:00 1h 52m Eat or be eaten Pretty simple but I like the gameplay idea especially how your monster elongates as it moves making it more vulnerable to the black robots.
Sep 4 17:52:00 20m 00s Zombie Infaction! Not sure if sound is broken or if there were any sounds at all but this was a pretty fun entry and I like the idea of assuming control of the next zombie in your group (if you have some) when you die.
Sep 4 19:37:00 1h 45m The adventures of the Squire and the Liar I recommend people play the Windows version since the WebGL version has some lag that's a huge no-no for rhythm games such as this. Other than that, I absolutely loved the concept and I really like the freestyling elements (and how surprisingly deep the battle system is).
Sep 4 19:58:00 21m 00s Beautiful Winter No idea what it is I'm meant to do since the player moves very slow but I like the graphics and the use of lighting and audio to set the mood.
Sep 4 20:07:00 9m 00s Shadows and Cats Don't know why it launches you upward when you eat people (a bug perhaps?) but this is a brilliant concept and I absolutely loved the use of audio especially with the crowd screaming. Also that free iPhone trap made me laugh a bit :)
Sep 5 00:32:00 4h 25m Monster Movie Game's more complicated than it looks unless you play it over a couple of times but I like this pretty clever take on the theme.
Sep 5 00:38:00 6m 00s Monster Munch You are the Monster. The Cookie Monster that is :D The gingerbread men are probably a bit too small and move too quickly but this was a surprisingly fun entry.
Sep 5 00:55:00 17m 00s Pro Gardener - Monster Edition Absolutely loved the audio for this game. Only gripe is that the hit targets for the buttons at the bottom were too small so you kinda need to be super precise with your clicking (as a suggestion maybe assign shortcut keys to each tool?).
Sep 5 01:17:00 22m 00s Give My Egg Back ! You Monster ! I like the graphics but the jumping need some tweaking (it's very weak).
Sep 5 01:32:00 15m 00s Urd Monster There's a strange collision bug that prevents me from moving unless I transform back and forth (which mostly works) and the ambient lighting could a bit brighter but I like the transformation mechanic and how each form has it's own unique ability.
Sep 5 16:06:00 14h 34m Free Hugs Kraken This was a rather fun and charming entry. I like the dual controls for the tentacles although I wish there were some sound effects to tell when you're hit.
Sep 5 18:08:00 2h 02m Under Full Moon I like the audio and animations but there's no clear instruction on what I'm supposed to in this one (besides moving and jumping)
Sep 5 18:14:00 6m 00s Man Zapper Pretty fun and simple game although once your energy runs out, there's nothing else you can do besides moving.
Sep 5 18:28:00 14m 00s I Hunger Pretty well done text adventure. Had so much fun getting mortals to worship me :D
Sep 5 21:44:00 3h 16m Ev0L Took some time until I reached the ending (for a moment, I actually thought there wasn't) but I loved the audio and graphics.
Sep 5 21:55:00 11m 00s Stay Angry Geez Billy why are you so angry for? You're a real player y'know ;D <br/> <br/>Anyway, this was a pretty fun entry. I like the graphics style and I loved the use of colour grading to indicate the anger levels. As a suggestion, you should have the anger go down constantly to keep things a bit more fast paced.
Sep 6 00:13:00 2h 18m The Unseen Takes a while to understand since there's no tutorial but I like the concept. Actually found the best strategy (in my opinion) is to let the growth spread and split into smaller growths and use the option to take out 20% of it without raising suspicion.
Sep 6 01:46:00 1h 33m Jeff's choice That jumping sound was rather amusing. Those death animations were very well done though.
Sep 6 02:00:00 14m 00s RODENT Absolutely fun and hilarious to play plus I like how the game's concept is inspired by Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Sep 6 13:49:00 11h 49m Mega-Normous-All-Devouring-Beast-o-Saurus-Super-Evil-Angry-Hairy-Scary-Thing (Rampage Lord of the Darketty Dark) I loved the dark humour plus how the background music adds to the mood.
Sep 6 14:39:00 50m 00s Dream Pretty short but I love the graphics and the audio adds so much to the mood you've set.
Sep 6 14:52:00 13m 00s BYSS Not sure what I'm supposed to do exactly but I loved the graphics and audio.
Sep 6 15:10:00 18m 00s Jelly Terror Lag issues aside (Was playing from the UK), this was pretty fun to play. I loved the animations and I like how you can decapitate other gummi bears. Only gripe is that jumping seems a bit too high and there's no way of dodging in other directions (besides backwards).
Sep 6 15:29:00 19m 00s Underwater Secrets Interesting concept. I actually like the use of the light in this game.
Sep 6 16:37:00 1h 08m (Idle?) Monster Pretty amusing take on the theme although I find it ironic that you're playing an idle clicker game where you're trying to defeat an idle clicker.
Sep 6 16:52:00 15m 00s Sick Sick Solitaire Too bad you wasn't able to do something that would fit the theme but at least you made something and I actually like this little take on Solitaire.
Sep 6 17:45:00 53m 00s Jalu - green-eyed monster Pretty good game although the blurry images puts me off slightly.
Sep 6 17:49:00 4m 00s You are the Monster(creator)! Not much of a game per se but I like your take on the theme.
Sep 6 18:00:00 11m 00s JumperStomper Too bad there's no sound but I like the dynamic camera and the simple yet surprisingly deep gameplay.
Sep 6 18:15:00 15m 00s Run Frank Run! Jumping definitely needs some working on (lack of air control makes it slightly difficult to use) but this is a pretty solid entry. I kinda like how Frank's legs go into a blur (like Sonic) when he starts to pick up some speed.
Sep 6 18:20:00 5m 00s Monster Attack! Pretty awkward testing this on my own but I like the concept and I love the hand-drawn art style.
Sep 6 18:26:00 6m 00s Happy Stroll Pretty fun and simple entry. I like how the animations are done.
Sep 6 18:32:00 6m 00s The Child and The Beast Pretty awkward testing this on my own but it's a very interesting concept plus it's a clever take on the theme (Who is the real monster - the child or the beast?).
Sep 7 01:15:00 6h 43m Thursday the 12th : Lake Polygon This was really fun to play. The music adds a lot to the mood and atmosphere. Also bonus points on humour just for the title alone :P
Sep 7 12:37:00 11h 22m Snail Muncher Woefully too short but I like the concept. I love how the lighting changes for the day/night cycle (although the ambient light during the night could be a bit brighter) but it seems to lack extra content.
Sep 7 12:50:00 13m 00s KAIJU TYCOON Absolutely brilliant concept plus I loved all those subtle easter eggs you've added in (Also how did you get your Unity WebGL game to load so fast?).
Sep 7 16:17:00 3h 27m Save Yourself Bit short but a pretty solid entry although I found it much easier not to use the gun (since the firing mechanics are a bit buggy).
Sep 7 16:42:00 25m 00s Zombie Rush Love the use of 2d sprites in a 3d environment. The AI for the military is insanely relentless though.
Sep 7 17:10:00 28m 00s You are the star Absolutely brilliant concept and really cool take on the theme (pretty sure I've also played/rated a similar entry that made use of the movie monster concept as well). Only gripe is that aiming the W skill is pretty difficult since you have to press both the button and the direction at the same time.
Sep 7 20:56:00 3h 46m Fear Syndicate Thesis Damn, that is one seriously f'd up game. Brilliant take on the theme and I love how the game's sudden glitching represents the player's current state of mind.
Sep 8 01:32:00 4h 36m Late for the Show Nice take on the theme although it's ridiculously hard due to the short time you have to find everything and how context sensitive the actions are.
Sep 9 14:12:00 36h 40m You're It! Pretty fun and charming entry. I loved the retro graphics and how well thought out each friend's abilities were done.
Sep 9 14:48:00 36m 00s We Missed You! Pretty hilarious concept. Had a good laugh at some of the notes your character hands out. Only gripe is that there's no reverse function when you're in the van and the game actually seems a bit slow (especially for something as fast paced as this).
Sep 9 17:41:00 2h 53m A battle for the graveyard Awkward testing this on my own (kinda wish there was an AI opponent)but I like how each monster's unique ability fits certain playstyles (e.g. Skeleton and Slime for people who like to zone and Frankenstein and Slender for those who like to get in close) plus the game actually looks well balanced (good thing abilities have a cooldown period otherwise Skeleton would be too OP :P)
Sep 10 13:53:00 20h 12m Brood This is a pretty well polished entry and great use of the theme. Gets really difficult in the later stages though.
Sep 10 21:12:00 7h 19m Mortal Fright Definitely loved the voice acting. Adds a lot of charm to the game.
Sep 11 13:33:00 16h 21m Corruption-5 Pretty short but I love the use of the theme in the game's plot plus those post processing effects look really awesome.
Sep 11 21:25:00 7h 52m Motherflipin' T-Rex! Really fun entry plus I like the charm of those recorded sound effects.
Sep 12 15:18:00 17h 53m Nomzilla: Munching Mayhem Pretty short but quite fun. The BGM loop's not bad either. Love the art style though (sort of reminds me of Scribblenauts for some reason).
Sep 12 16:04:00 46m 00s Grave Pace seemed a bit slow but mechanics were pretty solid plus I like the art style. Kinda wish you could do more stuff like being able to roll backwards or rolling behind enemies so you can hit them for critical damage.
Sep 12 20:28:00 4h 24m I'm a Monster Rawr! Loved the cute art style :)
Sep 13 12:15:00 15h 47m Melody Muncher Absolutely fun and I love the fact that you also done the soundtrack yourself during those 48 hours as well (expert is ridiculously hard though). Kinda wish you could set scroll speeds to something higher than 1.8 (Since I usually play with a 2-3x scrolling speed in most rhythm games).
Sep 13 20:16:00 8h 01m Can I Haz Monsters? Pretty fun puzzle platformer. I like the idea of becoming a monster by learning their language.
Sep 13 21:07:00 51m 00s Don't get caught in focus Don't know if there's a way to reduce the sighting level over time but I like the concept a lot plus the bagpipe music actually fits the game well.
Sep 14 15:23:00 18h 16m The Island There wasn't much in terms of gameplay but I like the flat cel-shaded art style plus I love how the audio tracks are layered on perfectly after collecting each pillar.
Sep 14 16:10:00 47m 00s It's Only You Not sure how it relates to the theme but it's a very charming entry nonetheless. I like the acappella intro and voice acting though.
Sep 14 16:40:00 30m 00s Rude Bear Realms Pretty overwhelming on the first go since there's no instructions screen or tutorial to help you but it's an interesting entry nonetheless. The ability to dispose of minions to raise your fear (and also keep them in line like the evil overlord you are) is a brilliant idea though.
Sep 14 21:32:00 4h 52m Squatchin' Controls were slightly awkward since you have to use the mouse to turn but I like the mechanics a lot especially the roar to attract attention feature.
Sep 14 21:49:00 17m 00s The Cauldron of Humanity Pace was a bit slow in the beginning but it's a pretty solid entry.
Sep 14 21:54:00 5m 00s Airhorn Monster Absolutely hilarious concept (although there doesn't seem to be much in regards to the theme). Think I had more fun just spamming the airhorn button :P
Sep 14 22:05:00 11m 00s Lil' Drake Shame there's no audio but I absolutely love the one button mechanic. Insanely hard at times but incredibly addictive to play (It's like a mix of Super Meatboy and Flappy Bird).
Sep 14 22:24:00 19m 00s Fright Night Lack of audio kills it (excuse the unintentional pun :P) but I absolutely loved the concept plus you've nailed the theme very well. Also that last level was pretty hard but very clever at the same time.
Sep 14 22:42:00 18m 00s Meet the Monsta WebGL version took quite some time to load on my PC but this was really fun to play plus I loved the cardboard cutout style as well as the handmade sound effects.
Sep 15 00:15:00 1h 33m AM I? That laugh is pretty infectious. Pretty solid entry although it would be more interesting to see the player character's drunkenness into play (e.g. flipping the controls from time to time).
Sep 15 00:29:00 14m 00s Eat Humans Those grey humans were pretty relentless. Actually took a while for me to work out how to score points in this game but it's a fun entry plus the voice acting was hilarious.
Sep 15 00:33:00 4m 00s Raging Snowman Interesting concept. I actually like the idea of the snowman growing larger whenever it gets hit by the snowball.
Sep 15 00:46:00 13m 00s Competition Inside Monsterous Inc There probably needs to be a button to skip/speed up text but interesting concept and I like the lo-fi pixelart style.
