wow i didn't understand that at all! it seemed like my shots went in a random direction, or towards whatever plant was around. i wish the control mapping was different, wasd to move plus trtfg to act felt really cramped. i applaud your effort to make a farming game though, there aren't enough of them.

oh wow. I forgot to say... there's auto aiming. you change with Q and E

mightytoast 2015-04-21 03:05

Controls were a bit difficult to get used to, but I really like the concept. Very unique!

pixel-heart 2015-04-21 03:06

The idea sounds promising, but the game is quite confusing... Do you plan to work on it more?

sakergames 2015-04-21 15:48

Interesting.

the-capitalist-crayfish 2015-04-21 15:48

I was a tad confused at first, but once I got used to the controls it was quite fun! Hope to see more from you in the future. -Weloxux

The gameplay was difficult and not particularly brilliant, however I did quite like the graphics.

eduardociattei 2015-04-21 15:49

I didn“t undestand the gameplay...

masterofnan 2015-04-21 15:50

I also found it a little confusing, but you managed to fit a lot in there in a short time!

Tilling I could do. I tried planting, but I couldn't tell what I was holding, or if anything got planted. Usually I'd just see either nothing, or an apple drop on the ground. Once I saw a tree grow after a few seconds, but that was a surprise since I hadn't seen anything happen when I tried to interact with the tilled ground.

None of my attacks seemed to have any effect. Not sure if I wasn't close enough, or just needed to attack more.

And the controls had some glitches. For example, if I was holding both W and D and therefore moving up and to the right, and then I released W, I would continue moving diagonally, instead of heading directly to the right. This made it hard for me to feel like I was confidently in control of the avatar.

I like the idea, but once I kill all the animals nothing seems to be happening. Is that desired behaviour, or did I miss something?

mghareeb32 2015-04-22 01:07

Didn't know what the game is actually about :D
Maybe it's unclear to me what the goal and game dynamics are. Seems to have potential though. Good job!

ldds 2015-04-22 01:08

@mantis: yes, that is the desired behaviour. You can play around, planting trees and stuff.

@Andy Gainey: you had to select a slot from your inventory using one of the numbers on your keyboard, until you got the seeds. With the update, you can see your inventory.
You need to attack more. I fixed the movement, I think. diagonally movement is no longer bugged (hopefully)

xanjos 2015-04-22 01:09

Interesting concept but the actual gameplay itself seems to be quite confusing (Ended up killing all the enemies and nothing was happening afterwards).

gametery 2015-04-22 01:09

Yeah like so many other people i didn't understand ..

ilookedatyourtitsandiminlove 2015-04-22 01:32

I couldn't figure out what I was doing, and the controls felt like they weren't doing what they were supposed to. A tutorial would be quite nice.

ldds 2015-04-22 01:32

so umm... I'm getting a lot of 'I didn't understand the game' comments.
I'd like to understand this.

The goal is simple: kill all animals or be killed. Use items like apples, seeds, etc.

I think I should have added a game over screen. Is it too late or am I allowed to add that? I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to be against the rules to do that type of thing.

peecestudios 2015-04-30 00:05

Nice start to a game, but needs a bit more content.
