LD45 — Start with nothing

Space Orc TD by SinaTheGreat 2019-10-08T07:53:22Z

Yeah I just fixed that, shouldn't have an error in webGL now

Save Samuel by nanocube75 2019-10-08T07:12:26Z

The default windows unzipping program cant unzip the file on your itch for some reason and says it is invalid. I unzipped it with 7zip and it worked fine. Edit: Just played it. Really solid character controller, and actually really good level design, I was able to kite around it very well. Good experience

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Light and Dark by interface 2022-10-04T03:19:09Z

Coolest concept I've seen so far. The camera needs to move faster though, and the controller felt pretty janky, but I assume that's because most time went into making the cool light/dark mechanics.

Tronk by D4mN 2022-10-03T23:41:41Z

Was really enjoying it but couldnt seem to get past the room with 4 goal walls. The second level with projectile enemies. I killed all the enemies quickly but couldnt walk on the goal to finish no matter which side I tried. Not sure if I'm missing something. Also the game does not work in firefox for me, on;y in chrome. I would try hosting it on itch io instead they are more reliable. good game though!

Grandma's Groceries by chelC 2022-10-04T03:11:46Z

This may just be me, but when I click and text is revealing itself the text should fully reveal itself instead of going to the next line. I wanted to read the dialogue but didn't want to sit through the revealing animation so I kept pressing left click and accidentally skipping dialogue. Maybe thats just my expectation. Great art and writing!

Beardadette and the Eternal Hiccup by Honest Dan 2022-10-04T03:35:00Z

Really great, nailed the art style and feel.

Alone by creepyounguy 2022-10-03T23:22:56Z

Yeah thats intended. Its a stealth game you are supposed to sneak around them and hide behind cover or wait for them to sleep at night.

Rush Hour by SephoWepho 2022-10-04T02:56:37Z

The ai music is very cool I might try that out next jam.

Scratching By by rsheepdv 2022-10-03T22:57:19Z

Great aesthetic and art. I agree with the poster above the order mechanic was confusing at first, it felt like there was no feedback if I was doing something wrong. Other than that issue, good game!

whoops it posted twice

Delta Shift by BaKo 2022-10-04T03:05:12Z

Fun Idea, most fun game I've played so far. the controls were a little floaty and I had to click every time before I could move my mouse because the cursor was unlocked after clicking the UI. It also felt like I should have been able to crouch through certain parts of the obstacles but there was no crouching.

Speedrun for light by _mK_ 2022-10-04T14:17:32Z

Good game, feel and mechanics are good but the trial and error can be frustrating. Having to redo all the past levels if you mess up a new level that you cant see and have to explore a bit by design. Maybe needs a casual mode with checkpoints and then a speedrun mode.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Follow The Light by BloodJohn 2018-04-23T19:16:58Z

Graphics and audio are nice! It didn't really fit the theme, and the controls were very stiff. The constantly rotating camera seemed unnecessary and it wasn't always clear where the light was. However I like the aesthetic very much and I think the concept can work with a change in controls.

The Fast Dating by jk5000 2018-04-23T06:22:17Z

This voice acting makes me hard

Helion by srakowski 2018-04-23T17:42:21Z

Doesn't fit the theme at all but is definitely impressive given the time span. The controller is good and I can see how the game would flow but doesn't really have any real gameplay yet (no way to win or lose) and it isn't really fun as there are no rewards or challenges. This is definitely a good start for a larger scale mining/simulation game.

Astral Fantasy by PowerSpark 2018-04-23T06:06:12Z

Really great concept and impressive how much you got done in 48 hours.

I killed 3 enemies in short succession and gained 7 levels and the exp bar took a really long time to fill up so maybe you should scale it with level ups. (reminded me of first gen pokemon games where hp bars took forever).

Bullet Break by JCMonkey 2018-04-23T06:33:32Z

Good but somewhat random and hard to tell where you should be moving the paddle . Maybe if you had more balls with different values and colors other than the 1 big one it would be easier for the player to prioritize moving to certain places, or maybe I'm just bad at video games.

Ballermann III: The Expendabuilds by xoidberg 2018-04-23T19:22:17Z

Graphics/Audio/and Gameplay are all solid. Only small changes I would make is adding a tutorial or instruction screen of some sorts, cuz it feels like you are just thrown into the game, and a visual effect for shooting (although you probably just haven't included these due to time).

Spaceloop by smilewood 2018-04-23T17:26:38Z

The Movement, and the assets for the the ship and astronaut are good. The assets for the platforms and some of the buttons are blurry and the background is distractingly ugly, black with much fewer dots would look a lot better I think. The core gameplay is still fun and again these controls are really smooth.

Line 'em Up by mao 2018-04-24T11:10:39Z

I really enjoyed this, the central game mechanic really works well. The only change/addition I would make is making scroll wheel change colors as a I think it feels natural for a twin stick shooter. If you get some sound design and maybe a nice background track for the game I think this game could be a satisfying time killer.

Rythm is Lava by egordorichev 2018-04-23T20:14:08Z

Super impressive game! Wish I was this good at gamedev

Goose Typing Attack by ehtd 2018-04-23T19:10:05Z

Nice Art and Music! Doesn't necessarily fit the the theme but its a functional good looking typing game.

Claustroom by Wendel Scardua 2018-04-24T03:06:52Z

Visually pleasing and has really good sound design. I think you should be able to move the cubes over even if there is an empty space instead of just swapping the colors, otherwise the board gets divided up into these awkward unsolvable squares. Good stuff though, I also made a [match 3 fps](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/shooting-stars-fps-match-3-in-space), I like my gameplay style more, but I think your assets and sound design are much better.

Battleship CRUSHER by Hilvon 2018-04-23T17:32:47Z

Fits the theme well and looks pretty good. I love match 3's so I liked the gameplay, but unfortunately the matches just stopped working after killing the first two enemies (not sure if that is exactly where it stopped), so you have a bug somewhere.

KatamariVania by guin36 2018-04-23T19:35:30Z

No colors even after I told you to add them 0/10 fite me irl

Mysterious Floating Gems by roflmoqkz 2018-04-23T21:00:25Z

I like this fusion or genres (I also made a match 3 game). I think that the controls definitely need to be less floaty as it makes selecting tiles difficult, and matching them difficult as well as you will rush over the adjacent tile you want to switch to. You could also maybe change the rules to make it more like huniepop where you can swap with any gem in a row or column.

Pinplat by svyatozar 2018-04-23T21:16:51Z

Pretty solid concept, and worked out well. It was somewhat trial and errory and I wish there were more pinball flippers and items to interact with, as once the ball is in the air you have nothing to do except wait for it to slowly roll to one of the objects. Good game tho

The Call of Cthulhu - Puzzle Edition by bombjack 2018-04-23T17:54:33Z

Theme and graphics are on point however the gameplay is trial and error and running out of moves is annoying. I think you should just have a move counter so I can understand how well I'm doing. I might just be bad, but I couldn't get past the part with the eye and the three documents, maybe I ran out of moves. I think if you put directional arrows on the icons it would help a lot.

Hallway Rumble by Sholf 2018-04-23T20:01:22Z

Aesthetics and gameplay are pretty good. The controls could maybe be a little less floaty but I got the hang of them eventually. Solid game!

Flappy Bird + Tetirs = FLAPTRIS by Mazzletov 2018-04-23T17:20:23Z

Very well polished and aesthetically pleasing. Only problem I encountered is that a 2 by 2 block did not slide into a 2 block wide hole, presumably because it was moving so fast.

A Knight's Bounty by DarkAnice 2018-04-23T20:50:24Z

Short but visually pleasing. I agree with Djeycreations above that you really need some visible walls and a visual indicator about the attack range of enemies. Also maybe try adding knockback to enemies as once one is as fast as you and gets within range you can't outrun them or kill them without taking tons of damage. Good work!

Big House Of Snails by FoxPlayer 2018-04-23T19:26:33Z

@foxplayer Your executable is not working

Heckin good shib

Ducks Hunter (Shooter + Racing) by StarzzDrak 2018-04-23T21:22:56Z

Actually the funniest game I have played all jam. Core gameplay idea is great, my only gripes are with the shooting as it feels innaccurate, maybe the reticle is just too big. Also need to be much faster Kappa

Robot Vs. You by Bryan Coen 2018-04-23T04:01:03Z

Graphics and Audio are excellent and the game was definitely entertaining. The board game aspect wasn't really developed though, it was pretty much just a corridor shooter gameplay wise. Still I enjoyed it and it was very pretty.

Spiky by Cristhor98 2018-04-24T17:14:03Z

Really well polished game, one of the mot complete feeling I have seen. Only thing it really needs is the ability to move the camera and scope out the level before hand as there is some trial and error there

PS: I saw this game from ur blog asking for ratings, if you want people to see your game you need to rate [others](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/shooting-stars-fps-match-3-in-space) games, unless ur game is really really good and people are sharing it, you generally get as many ratings as you give out.

Golden Beak Golf by McCordinator 2018-04-23T19:46:05Z

Aesthetic is awesome! A little hard to control but I think that's the point

2-3-D-Endless-Ego-Shooter by timbs 2018-04-23T19:42:03Z

Good concept, fits theme very well. I think the games difficulty should crank up a bit faster as it is really easy at first.

The Magic Shotgun Coloring Book by BenPeterson 2018-04-23T06:16:35Z

Very well done, art style is fun. I think this is worth expanding on with more enemies and powerups.

Pet Food by thebreakfast 2018-04-23T21:08:02Z

10/10 did not know I needed this

I, Love, Robot by Nash 2018-04-23T19:06:42Z

Great Soundtrack and pretty interesting gameplay. Only minor change I would make is having the robots name always displayed above their heads

Shooting Stars: FPS Match 3 in Space by creepyounguy 2018-04-23T12:34:42Z

Ty for feedback setting up a decent fps controller was definitely the most annoying part of this project, I am still tweaking it.

Shooting Stars: FPS Match 3 in Space by creepyounguy 2018-04-23T20:20:51Z

@DarkAnice Do you remember when the bug occured? Was it near the end of a level or in the tutorial room? Also thank you all for the feedback!

Shooting Stars: FPS Match 3 in Space by creepyounguy 2018-04-23T20:42:34Z

@DarkAnice :P yeah I can't reproduce that error, but I've encountered stuff like that before, I'll look out for it when playtesting. Thanks for the feedback it was useful!

Shooting Stars: FPS Match 3 in Space by creepyounguy 2018-04-23T21:38:11Z

@Aaron Nemoyten yeah I thought about geting rid of the shader/light a lot while I was playtesting but then I got used to it and forgot. I am probably gonna do what you suggested, or change the color scheme if/as I continue development. Ty for feedback.

Shooting Stars: FPS Match 3 in Space by creepyounguy 2018-04-26T11:22:20Z

@Hilvon Yeah I am gonna fix the final block rng thing when I work on the game next, its cuz it selects the color before the blocks are destroyed. Also you can paint the rocket ships as well (and now that I think about it you might be able to paint the earth) cuz I didn't do tag/object checks in my painting code :P.

Overcharged by Cryovr 2018-04-23T04:14:21Z

The Visuals are pretty good and spamming bullets and watching things blow up was entertaining. The main weaknesses of the game were the controls and the platforming/ collision inconsistency. I feel like the jump height was inconsistent and I would randomly jump when hitting certain platforms. Also effects would make the game way better especially considering all of the cool visual effects.
