Oct 6 14:24:05 Again & Again ♥ 1 I think you may need to set your game as "public" in itch.io?
Oct 6 14:42:30 18m 25s Crazy Trains ♥ 0 Very well done!
Oct 6 15:00:08 17m 38s Infinite Dynasty ♥ 1 Nice one! You should commit to update it if not already planned, I could see myself play it later if I know it is somewhat balanced. I was forced to use web navigator full screen mode to see everything. Took some time to understand what was wrong when you get "invalid empire" error the first times but managed to figure it out.
Oct 6 15:25:06 24m 58s Smells Like Chlorine ♥ 2 How many Bas Hoogebooms, and GreenWorms were you to make this?? A masterpiece. I absolutely loved the audio, on top of all the other very good aspects of your game, the audio finished me and triggered goosebumps. The dialogs, the arts, the little details, so good. Just enough fuckery in the "loop solvings" to make you feel the character's struggle but not enough to turn into an annoying gaming experience. Again, bravo.
Oct 6 15:43:42 18m 36s Screw these loops! ♥ 2 Cool exploring game! Don't have much to add, this game could a tiny bit longer I guess, not even sure. Was fun in this state already. EDIT: also very cool music and sounds!
Oct 6 15:57:51 14m 09s Frying Donut ♥ 1 Really fun and very creative! On top of all of what people already liked above, which I agree with, I loved the tiny little donut in your character's hand <3
Oct 6 16:25:51 28m 00s Born To Die ♥ 1 That's creativity right there! I just loved it. The music is awesome. The sprites are really cool. Great original concept. And to make this comment useful maybe I didn't like the fact that to confirm nest building stages the "input" is to wait, a bit game pace breaking for me I would have preferred an additional input. But maybe in later stages that I didn't take the time to reach yet the waiting mechanic plays out as a difficulty constraint vs the other flying enemies.
Oct 7 02:06:51 9h 41m Chicken Leggacy ♥ 5 I wished I listened when my grandma taught me how to kill those nasty onions. Now I and all my daughters and their daughters are stuck in an ever laying eggs and birth loop. But isn't it the meaning of life anyway after-all?
Oct 7 02:44:43 37m 52s S P A C E D O U T ♥ 1 48h... really nice compo game! I was always loosing more money than earning the two first runs then I figured my way out through maxing out work, kitchen and the tribble cage levels. Satisfying experience! I wonder how other players did it :)
Oct 7 11:57:17 9h 12m No Room For Mistake ♥ 1 Cool fun simple and efficient concept. Well done. First thing I would improve? hmmm maybe fixing/changing what it takes so that we don't get stuck to the left wall.
Oct 7 12:15:11 17m 54s Quivering ♥ 1 end.png Well done. I enjoyed this mix of light puzzle solving and aim and even reflexes sometimes. Really cool. Nice sprites, nice sound effects. The shooting feels good. [Bug?] I could never make the long jump so I cheesed this level by finding the perfect angle (placing yourself on the very end of the right edge of the platform). PS: sorry for posting this here but it is the fifth game in a row that I play with @etrealjunior copy pasted comment. I think it is "fine" to post your link, especially if you're struggling to get ratings (which doesn't seem to be the case but eh), but the copy pasted message... Are you even playing the games? :/ (if not I hope you don't dare to give random or average grades). Furthermore most people already tend to go test the games of the people leaving them feedback anyway. I believe Ludum Dare is not a popularity contest, once you reach 20 ratings the quality of them is what counts not the quantity, take it or leave it. Or maybe I'm just a prick and everyone is fine with such practices.
Oct 7 12:53:13 38m 02s Groove Interpolator ♥ 0 I like this, but I didn't understand how to use the green pad, could you explain before I give you ratings? I'm saving this page in my browser ;)
Oct 7 13:03:10 9m 57s Ouroboros Chess ♥ 2 I'm saving this one to re-rate it later after playing with someone else. Meanwhile I have just rated graphics/audio. I have the feeling that my friend and me will enjoy playing it, will see.
Oct 7 13:21:48 18m 38s Beaterform ♥ 1 There are not enough games of this sub-genre of platformers (the musical ones) in the world for my taste :p If you didn't already play this game called "140" I suggest you check it out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/242820/140/ Keep up the good work! Please don't give up on this prototype :)
Oct 7 13:29:15 7m 27s Cave Life PlatFormer ♥ 0 Confirmed stuck in the loading, I'm saving this page for some days in case you manage to deploy a fix by then ;)
Oct 7 13:53:14 23m 59s Progress ♥ 2 - Headphones: check - Full-screen: check - Theme: 5/5 - Other ratings: 1/5 Nice one tho! I laughed when I finally understood x) Also great entry to figure out who among the copy-pasters is not even launching the games (looking at you @etrealjunior).
Oct 7 14:26:19 33m 05s Resurrection ♥ 28 You liked your game your congratulations, You also did one if you want to know, and give yourself your feedback you are very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Oct 7 14:38:17 11m 58s Loop's Way ♥ 5 For a 72h work I have nothing to say but well done! I felt satisfaction while solving the puzzles. For an eventual future game: maybe replace some of the "repetitive-ish" intermediate levels with more complicated ones in the end (but that's more of a taste thing), and work on the camera and movements a bit, but eh already good overall regardless :)
Oct 7 15:05:03 26m 46s Tip of My Tongue ♥ 1 One of the word your supposed to guess was on the tip of my tongue...
Oct 7 15:22:19 17m 16s 33 loop ♥ 1 Just Beautiful
Oct 7 15:31:05 8m 46s The Trade Secret ♥ 1 Cool! I got hooked in the story! and it fits the theme pretty well
Oct 7 15:45:02 13m 57s CIRCLE ♥ 3 I wanna play this game but I'm stuck with an impossibility to close the phone (I literally tried all the keys my keyboard has), looking at the comments above it looks like it just me? Help :)
Oct 7 16:11:49 26m 47s Xenolasso ♥ 0 That game looks like a lot of work!! Lot of beautiful sprites, really cool pixel arts. The poor specimens are crying in their cage :'''( Also nice catch on the theme, original interpretation.
Oct 7 16:20:24 8m 35s ENILEMIT ♥ 1 Nice and original idea! I just wish you didn't have to wait before playing each stage. I gave it 5 stars for innovation.
Oct 7 16:25:31 5m 07s satans car shop ♥ 2 That was very confusing, but that's a feeling among others I guess :p Despite the absence of game (or maybe I didnt find it?) I liked the art.
Oct 7 22:39:04 6h 13m Loopita's Dream ♥ 2 Love it
Oct 8 10:06:42 11h 27m MonkeyVM ♥ 2 Just amazing. I'll continue the levels later got to 2-3 (skipped the 1-4, anyone succeeded?). Just to make my comment useful I will say maybe try to make the instructions ordering with the mouse more comfortable. But everything is well done, that's good grades in all categories. Impressive.
Oct 8 10:17:09 10m 27s Beyond Death ♥ 5 Fantastic work. Very polished, the sounds, the voices, the animations, the voxel art. Even tho it kinda fits the theme, the other aspects are so good that theme is actually my worst grade here Oo
Oct 8 13:08:51 2h 51m Line of Attack ♥ 3 Very creative! It was unique experience for me.
Oct 8 13:32:54 24m 03s BUSHIDŌ ♥ 2 Cool game! I have read the comments above and I relate to what people liked too and also agree with their improvement suggestions. So I will try to bring something new: If you chose the exotic screen ratio because we need to see what is coming in advance while keeping moving that's a nice solution. And I also liked it because it felt like being a movie character. You could also try to have the character not centered but somewhere on the left that would allow you to zoom a bit more on your great pixel arts while keeping the same distance of view toward the right.
Oct 8 14:06:25 33m 31s Get the Pizza! 🍕 ♥ 1 Oh, now I see why you appreciated our game :p If you make more difficult stages in a post-jam version please notify me :) You have made a very cool puzzle game and a nice catch on the theme, I think your game deserves recognition!
Oct 8 14:26:06 19m 41s Purgatory Hospital ♥ 4 A game directed by Michael Bay! Jokes asides the game is cool. It has a thing, that I can't explain. It's like this game is what went through your mind when you made it, with no consideration for what most people would like or dislike: it looks like you just had fun making it. Might sounds dumb but like I said, can't really explain what I felt.
Oct 8 14:42:42 16m 36s Loop Train ♥ 1 The game has a nice look! The movements are very smooth. The little white flag waving in the end was so cute :) What was your pre-plan ? I-m curious :p
Oct 8 14:49:47 7m 05s Looped Dodger ♥ 1 It is actually harder than I would have expected! Add a nice music and a scoring and you have it!
Oct 8 15:03:55 14m 08s LoopIn ♥ 3 I loved the art, and the one button hit puzzle concept is successful. Well done. Some nice ocean style chill music would be perfect. I guessed from previous comments that it was the end when my little octopus started being way too happy about his treasure :p
Oct 8 15:33:51 29m 56s LÖÖPS ♥ 1 That was my time well spent indeed!
Oct 8 15:40:49 6m 58s Loopy Treasure ♥ 0 That was intense!
Oct 8 15:46:47 5m 58s Need More Space ♥ 4 Well that's some veeery nice art and sound effects!! I'm impressed, What did you record or use to make the sounds? Oo
Oct 8 16:04:45 17m 58s Infinite Shootout ♥ 0 Nice little totally home made game, respect, never stop :)
Oct 8 16:10:40 5m 55s Stuck on Mars ♥ 1 I liked the art! I got confused by the clicking anywhere but when the train is next to what you need mechanic at first but finally understood after a minute.
Oct 8 16:30:00 19m 20s You Should Work! ♥ 1 Go past the job, worth it.
Oct 8 16:59:57 29m 57s Luminous Edge ♥ 1 Whaaaaat, alone in 72h?? This game was sooooo good. (Took some time to beat the boss). I'm not gonna repeat everything everyone is saying above but just know that I agree with them. In an attempt to make this comment useful I will just say I would have much prefered the attacks buttons to be something like "I, O, P". It is a bit uncomfortable to have the right hand on "Z,X,C". The absolute best would be a gamepad controller option :p
Oct 8 18:12:57 1h 13m WhileLoops ♥ 1 That's some 5's for the theme and innovation, rest isn't bad either. I have no constructive feedback to provide: this game is just complete.
Oct 8 18:36:56 23m 59s GLASS CLEANER 2077 ♥ 1 Cool dialogues writing! They are qualitative enough to never break the immersion that I experienced with a hint of humor and even some fourth wall destruction but in a nice dosage.
Oct 8 21:01:06 2h 24m Orbitrary ♥ 2 This game is totally complete, love the arcade vibe! it even has multiplayer and gamepad compatibility. This entry is a great example of scoping in game jams. Well done! Maybe a nice home made 8 bit music would make it perfect!
Oct 8 21:54:01 52m 55s Co-Routine ♥ 1 The robots assets are really cool! the puzzle (level 1 for now, may try next ones later) is well thought and the game mechanic is interesting! I know I'm more sensible than average but I got a bit motion-sick because of the camera acceleration. Also I would suggest a bit more speed to the robot movement for less (or at least shorter) repetitive tries and error to figure out the puzzle (3D constraint). Overall a nice concept! I believe it requires talent to design such puzzles and mechanics.
Oct 8 22:15:04 21m 03s a Damsel a Day ♥ 0 We can edit the code! I tried having much more trees..
Oct 8 22:34:24 19m 20s HONK II ♥ 1 That's a 5 star for fun and audio right there.
Oct 8 22:48:54 14m 30s In The Loop ♥ 1 I fell in love with the bouncing animation. Ofc it is a compo so you probably did the level designs last but if there is a planned post jam version I think the mechanics you created have much more level design potential than what you did (which were already decent, especially with 48h to do everything).
Oct 8 23:04:42 15m 48s Beyond Orbit ♥ 2 Groovy! I didn't manage to win yet but I wanna know what lies beyond the victory, or should I say "beyond orbit"
Oct 9 10:13:18 11h 08m System Reboot ♥ 1 I wanted to give elaborate feedback because I liked the game vibe a lot but then I read @zepimppotatoe comment and it is 100% what I had in mind. I will just add it would be even better with a bit more event feedback sounds (for exemple when being hit by a robot). Overall super cool entry, especially knowing you were alone on this project. Really really good work.
Oct 9 14:17:17 4h 03m Dynamic Flux Entropy ♥ 1 I was about to leave the game quite fast per lack of understanding but I decided to stay because I just love space too much (+ the art and vibe you made). Then I figured out you can only move by targeting a direction with right click or target an asteroid to orbit with left click (with a radius orbit kinda being the distance you already are from it). Quite challenging to move around but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I think I actually liked it that way, it just lacks some kind of tutorial really. What is crucially missing for me tho is some kind of consistent sound + graphical feedback telling you that you succeeded in targeting an asteroid and showing which one. (There is a graphical feedback already but it is not always displaying for some reason, maybe a max radius thing?). It is missing sounds feedback for actions, but I don't dislike no sound effects on space events, it makes it more real space for me. Music would be nice too. Last thing: just naming the materials other than A B C but with real materials names that you can actually find on asteroids and use to build stuff in space would make it much more immersive and engaging for me at the cost of a simple three strings fix based on a quick wikipedia search (or fictionally invented!), but I may be pushing the feedback too far here. I don't know. I usually do that when I like something :p If you make a post jam version please notify me here, I will check my Ludum Dare notifications few days after the results.
Oct 10 00:34:41 10h 17m Quit the Cycle ♥ 1 I've always wanted to be a game developer. I think it's time to finally get started.
Oct 10 01:25:13 50m 32s A tale of Loopism ♥ 1 I'm not gonna hit the MLG pro gamer list today..
Oct 10 08:32:38 7h 07m Dogs Memes For Safety ♥ 2 Thanks to @oddsocks comment I end up going back to the game instead of quitting without winning. I liked the ship art and the 2D tricks to feel like on a looping is a success. I would suggest to consider updating your description with whatever you originally planned to say in your tutorial level.
Oct 10 09:42:12 1h 09m Haighper Lewp ♥ 2 I'm not gonna repeat what @eduardo-yukio said because I agree with 100% of it both the good things and the improvements suggestions. I'll add that I liked the movement sound effect, the music a bit less mainly because it was too loud in the audio mix. Also did you use some already made path-finding feature from the engine or was it homemade? In any case it was working well and I wonder because it is the very first time after about 50+ LD47 games tested that I come across path-finding :) PS: just in case, there is no obligation at all, but maybe you don't know? (because I see 0 ratings given). Rating other's games in a 2+:1 given/received ratio will basically (not exact science) put your game on the main page, if you want more feedback from more people.
Oct 10 10:34:44 52m 32s Lost Woods ♥ 2 I was about to quit after getting chain killed by ants followed by 10min of being lost in the "south" looping section of the world........... then I read @nardandas comment. O.M.G After playing 50+ LD games this one totally won my heart and it is very unlikely that any other game will steal it from now on. Yes folk, as @nardandas says, pleaaaase try more, it is soooooo worth it. I will try not to spoil anything but still try to hook people so I'll just say this: - Wonderful and subtile morale. - Your progress can be saved between runs, but in a surprising way. - I never ever did that before yet but that's a 5 stars in all categories... and I'm usually quite harsh with the ratings (although kind and giving as much feedback as I can in the comment, I think). Here I don't believe I need to say anything about the individual aspects of this game, you got my point. Capture.PNG PS: and yes they are 5, and I always take the number of devs into account when grading, but here the ideas this game depicts are too good.
Oct 10 21:11:11 10h 36m Express Without Remorse ♥ 1 Found myself in an arcade fever mode and finally succeeded to do the "new resurrection loop" track. Then I read in the comments there was obtainable shields... Also I wanted perpetual stew because it sounded delicious but didn't find how to get some. Overall a surprisingly fun and mysterious experience. Good job and I hope you had fun developing it, at least it really looks like you did :)
Oct 10 21:47:11 36m 00s Cercle funeste ♥ 4 Nice puzzle game! For the time given to make it it is a very solid entry. I finished everything without looking at the solutions (which, btw.. why?). Anyway the mechanics idea was absolutely unique to me and it has I believe a lot of potential. Your game is really cool and deserves recognition!! #### Now entering "eventual post jam version" feedback mode: ##### Levels design In the later levels I sometimes accidentally won while actively following another solution that I had found and planned carefully with my poor little brain alone, but ended up winning before "randomly" on the way removing a good chunk of the satisfaction you're looking for when playing this genre. Since after a certain size of squares trying out every possibilities becomes impossible for a human, I think what could be interesting would be to try to explore algorithms to generate levels with only 1, 2,... or n solutions (should be similar to algorithms for making sudoku grids). ##### Graphics From 4x4's to more it becomes very hard to distinguish in an efficient way while thinking about a path solution and memorizing it (at least for me). We could say we need a loupe to play your game... (nice one me, nice one...) Finding a way using the art to much better distinguish big squares from small squares would make the game much better for a small effort cost. #### End of "eventual post jam version" feedback mode. Again bravo for this game, I enjoyed playing it fully. Innovation is a five star without any doubt for me. If you would like to try out another potentially too complicated to understand puzzle game, but somehow still understood and enjoyed by puzzle game lovers, feel free (but not obliged) to check out our :)
Oct 10 22:03:49 16m 38s Sputtering around the Loop ♥ 0 Was fun :) Capture.PNG
Oct 10 22:18:42 14m 53s Debug Or Die ♥ 1 I'm not gonna re-say what is said in comments above, which I agree with. It is a nice game indeed. And it is even a bit more than that: it is a great and rare example of background, art and mechanics all three blending perfectly together (games usually manage just two of them to fit), you know, when you can guess what stuff does and doesn't even before trying them out. (Especially talking about the comment and break blocks here). Well done!
Oct 10 22:34:54 16m 12s Please Just Leave ♥ 2 << (Hints: - look at your left) >> Me: literally look on my left.. in my real room.
Oct 10 22:42:56 8m 02s Time Crash ♥ 1 I was most impressed by the animation and transitions. So niice. Art, audio and lore super cool too. First try :p Capture.PNG
Oct 10 23:05:36 22m 40s Led Astray ♥ 5 The art is touching. Finished the story, hit me deep.
Oct 10 23:22:09 16m 33s Routine ♥ 2 Loved the drawn art, the big rooms first "ridicule" actually start turning into more of an anxiety source after some loops, and I loved the music too. Small animations and/or sound effects would have been a huge plus when performing the different actions. I didn't manage to either call her nor suicide (wanted to see how you executed both ends but seen none so far, I will try again, more patience required)
Oct 10 23:34:10 12m 01s LoopingAges - LD47 ♥ 1 Congratz for your first game ever made and thanks for sharing it!! Keep it up!
Oct 10 23:46:10 12m 00s The Wasteland ♥ 1 Another tip (to try to be useful since everybody pointed out the turn sensitivity already), lowering it would be indeed good, but also you can try to make the center of rotation not exactly the center of the car, if you think of how real cars work, I think that would make it more enjoyable too. Anyhow keep up the good work! :)
Oct 10 23:53:16 7m 06s Rogot Slide [Prototype] ♥ 1 Bonus point for the sound effects! And I had to try hard a bit, it was actually quite challenging to be precise in terms of directions.
Oct 11 00:05:52 12m 36s WHAT I SAW ♥ 1 What a successful engaging atmosphere, I'm impressed!
Oct 11 11:20:07 11h 14m Life Loop ♥ 0 Bonus point for the audio, did you record/post-process all of them during the jam? It's a lot of them and they are cool :)
Oct 11 11:52:12 32m 05s Eleven ♥ 2 Not gonna repeat everything above that I would have said if I were the first. I'm gonna add a bonus point for the sound effects that I find very cool.
Oct 11 14:32:19 2h 40m Hoops ♥ 0 Cool take on the theme! What about a bit more zoomed out camera to allow some strategy on when to wait and when to rush for an exit? maybe not, haven't played enough to know by myself but maybe you do :) Was fun to play nevertheless!
