This is a really clever and innovative concept! Drawing loops was a bit finnicky but it felt great when I got it right.

This is a really clever and innovative concept! Drawing loops was a bit finnicky but it felt great when I got it right.
Really fun to play ! Especially doing a giant loop through the level, hoping to get as many as possible. Great Job
5/5 a BLAST to play! loved everything about this
This is a very interesting concept!! I love the idea, and I was highly engaged. The hybrid 2D-3D art was a little jarring for me, but the music was spot on! If possible, what I'd like to see is having the enemies slow down while a loop is running, so that your cuts are easier to line up and predict. Mood is great, and really innovative take on the theme. Well done!
I like your "loop" mechanic, feels really cool! But sometimes I had the feeling, that enemies damage me when I kill them from behind.
Nice gameplay loop (even if the line is sometimes a bit hard to control). I really love the music and the effect when you slice an enemy, GREAT JOB!
relly fun and good, game and the art is nice
Fun play with the 2d and 3d graphics. I didn't expect the doors to flap like that.
I fucking loved the mechanics, and is so satisfying to loop-kill the enemies
Great game! Nice and fun concept, I loved the idea and the 3D with 2D textures art style. Good work!
The mechanic are awesome and I appreciate how you implemented them (slowed time when drawing the loop). This fits nicely into the theme in a clever way. Good job :)
Nice mechanic! It was fun to think about how to do the loop to kill all the enemies at once.
I would improve the visual a bit but great entry anyway :)
Nice mechanic, I really liked the attack being done on the drawn line. The camera follow during the drawing makes it harder to draw, I think would be ok to let the camera in the player. Great job.
Creative mechanic, love the sfx and the music. A fun game to kill time, congrats!!
One of my favorite games of the jam, I love this combat mechanic. Please flesh this out into a full game! Seriously this is so much fun.
Don't remember the score but this game is the best one i've played this jam
Really creative mechanic and really enjoyable wow. good job guys. one thing to improve is the collision and everything? sometimes it bugs, and also the enemy's hit is always prioritized so if you hit in one loop and they too, you lose health. that could get annoying in the long run. But overall a really fun and creative game ! definitely worth continuing ! good job :)
Really cool concept! Getting those multi-kills was pretty difficult but the loop mechanic was creative and fun. Some of the best music I've heard so far in this jam. As I said on stream, I think this would make a really cool stealth game. :)
Very creative! It was unique experience for me.
A very unique way to looping. I just have looped the entire level with cursor and waited until my character returned to the starting point, clearing the entire level :D
Below you see my score going through first level only. Such fun!

I like the game, it's very good to play ! I found mouse movement is to high and can be difficult to drawn at some time.
Awesome game mechanics. It's really well thought and satisfying. This entry is one of my favourites
A pretty interesting submission, with nice idea and implementation.
I loved this! Its very unique, and in a good way. It sticks to the theme well, has amazing graphics and audio, and is all round very fun to play. Racking up bonuses from a long loop was really satisfying! I however did die a couple times on the 4th or 5th room, and had to go back to the start a couple times which was a bit frustrating. Overall, very cool game!
Original idea, the looping mechanic was more fun because you travelled along the path of the loop, which meant it wasn't as simple as just circling enemies. The use of pixel textures on 3d objects added a nice level of polish - the saloon style doors. I liked the different environments too!
A really nice unique mechanic. Little hard to control at the start, but you get used to it.
Combat is refreshingly unique, brilliant! I liked the art style as well.
This was a really unique game, definitely interesting to play. I really liked the top down, yet 3d style. Combined with the fast mouse movement and camera slowdown when attacking, the game had a really dynamic and action packed feel. I feel like with the attacking being so fast you were trying to get a very action packed mood, and it came across. I did however feel that the mouse movement was very jarring, however, as the moving camera, and high sensitivity threw me off every time I used it, and it was really hard to actually attack something. This combined with the enemies that could damage you back made the game really hard to me. It was a really nice concept however, and I enjoyed exploring it! Nice work
Really cool, I had some fun! Trying to time attacks properly so as to hit enemies from behind and also going through doors is kinda hard, you have to observe their path carrefully. I feel like this limits the action a bit. Personally I'd make the camera move a lot less so you are forced to only attack enemies in close/mid range.
Wow! Really interesting take on the theme. Not just drawing the loop, but ensuring your timing was right made sure the game was fun. The music really complemented the game. I really liked the door physics too, nice bit of polish.
I think the sensitivity of the loop drawing could be tweaked a bit, I never felt like I was really in control of the loop drawing. Damaging the player for successfully taking out an enemy (from the front) seemed overly punishing, especially when dying meant starting the level from the beginning.
Nice job!
Great and innovative game, the audio and graphics set the mood well.
It was a little but frustrating to play, the sensitivity in the web version was extremely high, and I don't know why. I also couldn't see the cursor, which made navigating menus quite difficult. Moreover, I felt like the movement of the enemies was a little bit *too* difficult to plan for.
Maybe both of those problems could be fixed by having each level, or room, set in a static screen with everything visible. That way, planning would be easier, and control would also be quite a bit easier. Alternatively, if the vision range was greater, planning would also be easier.
The intro screen already hooked me in, loved the font and the smoke. The simplicity of the straw hat fit into the "ninja" narrative nicely. The main character sprite was very simple but very nice and effective. The attack animation was really cool and flashy- very fitting.
Music was great, sound effects too. Especially the door one.
What I liked most about the game was probably how it's really a creative and innovative take on the theme- you plan a loop- and then you're stuck in that loop, for better or worse. It's unlike any other game that I've seen and i really like it.
Overall, amazing job!
Very interesting idea, I liked how you have to plan timing (or be faced with swords). I too noticed too much sensivity while drawing loops in web version, not sure if that was intended to symbolize fast sword movements or something. Good work!
Super nice idea, really enjoyed that! Pretty hard to come up with a correct trajectory, hard to really anticipate the speed and treajectories of the enemies sometimes. Apart from that I really liked the graphics and the music, this has a lot of potential well done!
Have you considered pausing or slowing down time when drawing the line? Or limiting the max length of the line? I agree with @invixel that movement of the enemies was too complex to plan for, also the visibility wasn't the best. I think that little zoomed out camera and slow-mo would allow the player just storm in instead of carefully waiting for the right setting of enemies. But maybe you went for the slower pacing, I don't know. Maybe I'm shooting off target, but something just felt a bit off and kept the game from reaching the maximum potential.
That being said, general concept is a cool as heck idea and you've done good job. I personally like the 2D/3D visual mix very much! Congratulations on this, it's very well done!
By the third level, I was more interested in completing the game than getting a high score, and I found myself trying to sneak past all the enemies instead of taking the time to kill them. It's nice that you can sneak past them but I felt a little bit guilty for ignoring the core mechanic. If you keep working on this, maybe you can find some way to add some kind of variety or introduce a new twist to the mechanics. As it is though, it's really good for a jam game and feels very complete.
You were clearly inspired by the theme and took it in a totally innovative direction which is nice! I like the way you gave the player an incentive to bust through doors and kill enemies in the same loop; that feels really satisfying when you can pull it off. I like the motion of the doors and the blocky textures make the pixelated characters feel right at home in their 3D world. I like the smoke graphics on the loading screen, too. The audio and mood are quite good also. Great job!
lmao finally beat the first level with 1600 and feeling so proud of myself, then I get a big fat "POOR", I give you credit this is a properly tough game! It's very well done, I got a "TERRIBLE" on the second level, and by the third level I was just getting kinda lost, a minimap could be helpful for that possibly. The gameplay is really satisfying, I think I'll come back to this when I have more time and go for some better scores. The 2.5D graphics is very well done, and the audio is fitting. Overall really well rounded (and very difficult!) game :)
The idea of the game is really nice and the the quality is very good. I liked the pixel artwork and the game play most!
