Great graphics and good gameplay! Love it!
Cute little game! I played through up to the image of the big ant, i wasnt sure how to proceed from there :( but I loved the art style and the game was fun to play, good job!
Very nice entry - the look and feel is nice and the setting is relaxing... might have made sense to make encounters a bit more dramatic ... other than that :thumbsup_tone1:
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Really like the music and lighting. I'm not sure how the combat works. I got the stick, but either I would get grabbed by something and have to restart, or I could just walk past the enemies.
The game is alright, with a very straightforward mechanic. I wish there could be a way to get more time as it feels punishing to figure the game out and then run out of time. Snails are annoying and it would be great if one could use the stick to fight them.
Good job nevertheless!
Well, I got well and truly lost a few times, so the game's name is certainly appropriate.
I like the music and the graphics - is the scary face in the trees intentional? Big dark scary trees would frighten a child lost in the woods...
Interesting interpretation of the theme as well. Definitely a fun experience all in all.
Nice game, I unlocked the picture of the ant but got lost after.
Loved the art-style but Space didn't seem to do anything for combat? Really impressed with how you worked the 2D lighting.
Thank you for your comment :) @aquanim : Yes, the scary face is a choice of @Anubis
Very good atmospheric game! Nice graphics and soundtrack! But I would like to use the world map for travel :)
And really really cool 2D lighting and these magical particles!
This was great, I liked the music, mood and use of lighting! Good job!
You nailed Audio — I really like the music in this game. Graphics are also very good. Like others I found the stick, but couldn't figure out how to use it. I kept getting killed by the bugs. Even so, it was fun exploring the map, and I like the simple mechanics. Good job.
Lovely game with really nice music, the way certain areas loop back one way really screws with your mental image of the world and makes it far more challenging, great concept well done
Oh my god, what a great entry. I FINISHED IT! After finding the image from the button puzzle, I was stumped at first, but the solution came to me and I breezed through the rest. Absolutely fantastic game, utilizing the theme in multiple ways. I implore everyone to give it another shot and try something new and weird!
@nardandas I'm really glad someone of the jam finished it. Thanks for your kind comment.
Great concept, I liked the music and the mood. Good work !
The mood and music is just magic. Didn't find a way how to beat the game (mantis just one-shoted me), but overall I have a good feeling about it. Well done.
Btw. congrats with 20+ ratings :) Your team deserve it
I like the graphics and sound it is mysterious. The stick and the surface on the grass has some meaning I guess but I couldn't solve the problem. It makes me feel that when you step on this surface you will have shield to protect you. I like your maze type.
I was about to quit after getting chain killed by ants followed by 10min of being lost in the "south" looping section of the world........... then I read @nardandas comment.
O.M.G After playing 50+ LD games this one totally won my heart and it is very unlikely that any other game will steal it from now on.
Yes folk, as @nardandas says, pleaaaase try more, it is soooooo worth it. I will try not to spoil anything but still try to hook people so I'll just say this: - Wonderful and subtile morale. - Your progress can be saved between runs, but in a surprising way. - I never ever did that before yet but that's a 5 stars in all categories... and I'm usually quite harsh with the ratings (although kind and giving as much feedback as I can in the comment, I think). Here I don't believe I need to say anything about the individual aspects of this game, you got my point.

PS: and yes they are 5, and I always take the number of devs into account when grading, but here the ideas this game depicts are too good.
The concept is good, but the realization could be improved a lot. It's very hard to understand what you need to do, moving around is not that fun so it seems more like a chore. I've a very good memory and so that was not a problem, otherwise I can see it becoming even harder.
I managed to get the bucket, the stick, and managed to get the info from the fireflies that the stick couldn't hit the ants, but also the wasp. I've tried to use the bucket to get the wasp poison but again, nothing.
It seems to me that I've tried all but couldn't figuring out what to do. I've lost immersion and the game was not fun but frustrating. Something I've learned is that harder is not always funnier, and for a game like this, though being lost is good because is its core, it's too much for me.
I liked that the songs changed when the timer was about to running out, that was cool, and also the tree with an evil smile on top of them. I liked that snails do not hurt you but slow you down, making them annoying in a good way for the game.
If you make it a bit more clear I could see this totally change.
Edit: after reading the comments, I discovered what maybe be the biggest block. The ant paper to me means "you can't defeat them with the stick", it wasn't very intuitive that I needed to get through them without it =/ After that the rest was a lot more straightforward (obviously keeping in mind I already discovered basically all the other things before).
Particle effects are very nice!
@tino Thank you very much for your comment :) We are happy that you like the game.
@toocio94 Thank you for your advice. I understand what you mean. But it's not easy to balance a game :) We think (too late) that we can add a minimap for exemple :)
