Pretty cool game, if you upload the source code and made all the assets during the jam, you can upload it as a compo game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Hoops

@puma3 Thank you for the comment. About the Compo category, unfortunately, I haven't done the UI, fonts and Musics.
Clever continuous escape puzzle. Did struggle with seeing ahead where the next the gap was through the different playthroughs.
Simple yet fun game to play. I believe that you need to zoom out the camera a bit as the player progresses because sometimes there is no way to know which direction of the circle the opening is, as its not in view. You could also add some powerups and points to make it more addictive. Anyway, great game, I played several times and still want to play more.
This is the first literal "stuck in a loop" game I've played. I got stuck, then I died. Simple idea and game, but worked really well for the theme. Also liked the the gameplay for a quick a session.
Only feedback I have is that wish I could have better seen which direction the loops were rotating and when it was speeding up. Felt like I was taking a chance when I didn't know where the exit was.
Great work! I'm going to go back and try one more time. :smile_cat:
Fun little game. However, it's a bit frustrating if you can't see the exit of the loop and you have to guess.
Cool take on the theme! What about a bit more zoomed out camera to allow some strategy on when to wait and when to rush for an exit? maybe not, haven't played enough to know by myself but maybe you do :) Was fun to play nevertheless!
Nice core idea, simple but fun. I can see the similarity with super hexagon as you mentioned, so it probably needs a couple of more mechanics to differentiate those to AND it would also make it more complete, but it should not be overdone. I also think that losing was kind of random, meaning that if it happens that you go on the opposite side of the next hole (since you can not see it yet), then you will lose no matter what.
It would help a ton with this it you would show an indication/arrow where rotate next, counter clockwise (cc) or clockwise(c), or at least make it a rule that you follow a pattern of directions (i.e. cc->c->cc->c and so on)
Simple yet innovative idea! And very challenging too! ^_^
Really love this idea. Lots of fun
A super simple and fun little game. Well done.
