| Aug 12 23:27:58 | Cure Your World | ♥ 1 | The movement seems a little unresponsive in the sense that I am not sure when I am turning, but after a few plays it made more sense. Also, not having a perfect idea of the edge. I like the graphics and the music is not intrusive and is a nice undertone. | |
| Aug 12 23:35:55 | 7m 57s | Rick Dervish - Space Cadet | ♥ 2 | The game is tough and probably will take a lot of doing. Not sure the little twist adds too much but it was a fun game. |
| Aug 12 23:49:42 | 13m 47s | Grid Weaver | ♥ 1 | The gameplay was fun. At first it was tough to see what was happening, but then I figured out that the bugs were eating the web. |
| Aug 13 00:18:20 | 28m 38s | Memory | ♥ 1 | The fact it seemed I got an OPed gun at the beginning, made the game a little easy, but I didn't even care too much. The world was quite nice and having a working dialogue system was great. Maybe adding some random villagers with random speech would be fun. |
| Aug 13 00:42:58 | 24m 38s | Full of Thoughts | ♥ 1 | When I click the link I receive no file found. |
| Aug 13 00:52:17 | 9m 19s | Don't Drown | ♥ 1 | The game actually was surprisingly fun. I really wanted to see what would happen if I escaped. It was a little anticlimatic. Might be interesting if it is a tub and you could try to swim underwater to pull the plug and drain it. Also, sound and maybe an idea of your captor would be fun. I always enjoy story in game. |
| Aug 13 01:00:47 | 8m 30s | ReMind LD-42 | ♥ 1 | The pacing was very slow. I agree that there should be other memories. I also did not understand if I was never supposed to select a bad memory, which seemed like the point. If that was the case it did not seem like running out of space was actually occurring unless the brain would get full. |
| Aug 13 01:05:53 | 5m 06s | Where's Creepo? | ♥ 1 | The game was quite difficult. I enjoyed the music and the artwork and overall theme. The negative was just how difficult it was to find people. Since the crowd is randomly generated is the target guaranteed to be there? Unless that part is initially predetermined. |
| Aug 13 01:10:22 | 4m 29s | Obliterating Eyeball! | ♥ 1 | You need the dll file to be included. Make sure you zipped all the files. While I used Unity and it does not seem you did, I was having issues cause I did not zip the dll file and this appears to be the same thing. |
| Aug 13 01:16:14 | 5m 52s | Tetrolled | ♥ 1 | I liked the randomness and how it referenced the retro nature with inserting the cartridge. At first I did not see there was a score. Kind of want to look at the code because one game it seemed random bricks did not appear as much and the next game they appeared quite often. |
| Aug 13 01:36:16 | 20m 02s | Blockage | ♥ 1 | Figuring out how the controls were supposed to make until the tips came up made it a little annoying, but I guess it adds a learning curve. Also, determining what items I could stack or couldn't, was a little weird. Some things were not intuitive but overall it was fun to play. |
| Aug 13 01:37:24 | 1m 08s | Curses and Goblins | ♥ 0 | Overall the controls were a little hard to figure out and what stacks. The game was enjoyable though and I liked the simplistic artwork that made it feel like an old time rpg. |
| Aug 13 02:02:32 | 25m 08s | Insufficient Storage | ♥ 0 | The overall game is great. Not sure if the game would be more interesting if there were varying enemies. There were multiple things to track and it was great. |
| Aug 13 02:10:06 | 7m 34s | Void Knight vs PEST | ♥ 3 | Loved the artwork and the game had a very horror esque feel. Also, loved all the graphical responses to actions. |
| Aug 13 02:16:55 | 6m 49s | Avoid the circle | ♥ 0 | I agree with @guardhei, the controls are a little difficult and also I think the colors could be more obvious which are which. I did enjoy the music. |
| Aug 13 02:36:35 | 19m 40s | Slay The Slimes | ♥ 0 | I love the artwork. The controls made it feel like I needed one more hand. Also, the pits just felt large to jump. |
| Aug 13 02:45:59 | 9m 24s | Chicken Space | ♥ 0 | Is there no sound? I find the chicken really funny. I wish I could move the boxes around. Got a score of 91, did the game break, doesn't seem like it will end. |
| Aug 13 02:52:53 | 6m 54s | Clean-Up Crunch | ♥ 1 | The game does not run. Make sure you include a zip with all the files generated by the build. I would make a folder with your games name and build to that folder. You were using Unity, correct? |
| Aug 13 03:32:44 | 39m 51s | Count your Steps (or you will run out of space) | ♥ 0 | What program do I use to open RAR files? |
| Aug 13 03:43:40 | 10m 56s | SpaceRunner | ♥ 1 | The WebGL version is not loading for me, downloaded and playing the game. I like the interpretation of the theme and graphics. The controls are simple but determining what I am trying to do/pickup was a little confusing. |
| Aug 13 03:54:15 | 10m 35s | DOS: Deletion (of) Old Stuff | ♥ 3 | The game seemed a little too difficult, probably slow down how often the mouse deletes an item. Also, I don't believe there was a way to exit the game. |
| Aug 13 04:17:34 | 23m 19s | Grocery Runner | ♥ 0 | Does the game go on indefinitely, if I do not fill my cart? Also, it seemed random how many an item would represent when I hit it. Overall, though the gameplay was nice, the graphics told me these were grocery items and I was pushing a cart. The speed was even fast in easy. |
| Aug 13 04:31:43 | 14m 09s | Escape: The Game | ♥ 0 | As everyone has said, link doesn't work, we will not have access to your c drive |
| Aug 13 04:32:51 | 1m 08s | Claustro | ♥ 0 | Same as everyone else, hope you get the link working so we can play. |
| Aug 13 04:54:34 | 21m 43s | Death Tag Arena | ♥ 1 | When I died, there did not seem a way to restart. The game did have nice horror elements. The theme did not jump out at me. |
| Aug 13 14:59:41 | 10h 05m | Dash Brawler | ♥ 2 | The AI did seem a little stupid and the theme running out of space seemed to be loosely used with the falling blocks, since the AI was so easy to defeat I never really thought I was running out of space. On the plus side I loved the graphics, the gameplay seems fun and would be interesting when playing multiplayer, and I liked the dialogue and a little story. More randomized dialogue/a taunt button might have been fun. |
| Aug 13 15:41:23 | 41m 42s | Gunning Out Of Space | ♥ 0 | Love the pixel artwork. The borders could have been a little better, when I would get to the bottom of the screen and have a goo bubble, I was just kind of trapped, which I guess fits with the them really well. |
| Aug 13 23:07:50 | 7h 26m | Red Square | ♥ 1 | I thought it was fun and had just the right level of challenge. I also enjoyed the sounds. Overall great game. Maybe having more of a theme, not the theme, but theme in general would be interesting, but as a puzzle game it was very good. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/the-city-of-forgotten-toys, link to the game so you can play it on your stream as you requested. |
| Aug 13 23:28:25 | 20m 35s | Dear Leader's Diet Plan | ♥ 1 | Not sure the blue coming out of me really made me think capitalist propaganda but besides that it was a lot of fun. Interesting controls and just a different game, which we need. |
| Aug 13 23:52:18 | 23m 53s | Viral | ♥ 0 | Really enjoyed how it looked and when I tried to delete an entire folder that the game told me I cheated. I liked the feel of the artwork and it felt like an old computer. Interesting that you could open multiple file explorer and have each focused on a single folder. |
| Aug 14 16:34:34 | 16h 42m | BLOCK_SHOT | ♥ 1 | I liked the twist on pong and it is nice for one days work, would have been nice to have some simple up and down AI so the game would not be played alone. I also got the bug where the game just stops due to the ball moving back and forth between boxes. I felt the theme was only slightly there. I think with some AI and maybe weirder physics for the ball so the bouncing back and forth between two paddles wouldn't happen, would greatly improve this. |
| Aug 14 16:51:27 | 16m 53s | Pats Pack | ♥ 1 | Yeah maybe a mouseclick system would have worked better for the throwing. I agree with the previous commentator and think the overall speed of the game could have been slowed down. Also, the sounds were good but a little jarring in abruptness on death. I enjoyed the simplistic artwork and it was interesting what different weapons could do. I felt the theme was loosely used given the 4 slots but since the items seemed to have limited uses did not seem like I was really running out. Overall good job. |
| Aug 14 18:55:44 | 2h 04m | Card Tower Defense | ♥ 0 | It seemed very difficult to get past the seventh wave and some of it is luck because I think the upgrades are random. It was fun and I enjoyed combining cards. Was not sure if I should have only placed a couple cards so I could combine later. Determining the strategy was interesting. |
| Aug 14 19:17:39 | 21m 55s | MondrianCraft | ♥ 1 | I did feel like I was an artist rearranging a painting. The theme was subtlier there, I didn't really feel I was running out of space and instead was working within space. As everyone else hinted, the fact there was a lot of trial and error was a little annoying. Maybe just have a combination guide on the right. Always nice to have a good puzzle game. Not sure how hard it was to make this and what it would take to have more levels, but that would be fun. |
| Aug 14 21:09:13 | 1h 51m | Pole Volt | ♥ 1 | The concept was interesting and fun. The space to jump seemed not as responsive as I would like and it was a little weird to alternate between right and left and then hit space, maybe up to jump might have worked better. I really enjoyed the artwork and animations. The music was also nice. The theme did not really seem apparent. |
| Aug 15 01:47:20 | 4h 38m | Zombie Invasion | ♥ 0 | I thought the shots were not super accurate and did not know how to use the sword. Some controls would have been nice. I enjoyed the artwork and the gameplay, though. |
| Aug 15 01:59:25 | 12m 05s | Donovan - The Hazard Duck | ♥ 1 | I also must say I was not sure exactly how the dodge was supposed to be used, was hard to move, use dodge, and shoot when I went with just moving and dodging it was tough to die but the game wouldn't progress. Not sure if a time limit where you win if you survive would be a nice addition. I liked the duck artwork also. Is there a way to get more health? |
| Aug 15 04:31:43 | 2h 32m | Cluster | ♥ 1 | Loved the artwork and attacks. The antagonist was creepy. Initially I thought since space was attack, that I only had a certain number of attacks and initially was not sure what I was trying to do but it easily became clear. |
| Aug 15 05:01:17 | 29m 34s | L: An Interactive Mystery | ♥ 0 | I feel you should have opted out of humor, if anyone thought this was funny, something is wrong. Besides that, though, this was spectacular, I didn't feel like I was running out of space, felt the space just wasn't present to begin with, but amazing music, amazing voice acting (I thought I was the only one who did voice acting, which not sure I can even call it that after seeing this), the mood was there, sadness oozed. The fact the ending was basically a cliffhanger was a little sad, wanted to have a happy ending. But amazing, all and all, amazing. |
| Aug 15 05:29:31 | 28m 14s | Echo | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the squish sound it was humorous and so was the tutorial. The game had a little learning curve for the range of the attack but the tutorial helped a lot for learning what you could do. Overall fun. |
| Aug 15 15:45:17 | 10h 15m | Pre Alpha Build | ♥ 2 | Would have liked better instructions about how the lab worked, but I loved the artwork and the difficulty and pace of the game. Having to decide how to place the pieces was also a fun addition. Not really sure what walls were doing. Besides the fact some things were not clearly explained, the game was fun and enjoyable. |
| Aug 15 18:41:37 | 2h 56m | Rainforest | ♥ 2 | Enjoyed the artwork and found it funny. The controls were a little difficult and the clipping through shelves for collisions did not look the best. I thought the objects would drop on my trolley but I guess I needed to click on the objects. |
| Aug 15 22:53:05 | 4h 11m | Dataphobia | ♥ 0 | I think maybe being able to swap moves during the game might be interesting. I agree that seeing the level layout, also would have helped. Having to just replay levels cause I chose the wrong moves was a little annoying but it still made for a good puzzle game. The comments in the game added nice ambiance and humor. |
| Aug 15 23:17:08 | 24m 03s | Birdbird can't fly! | ♥ 1 | I was having trouble just getting past the dog. The game still had nice artwork and a good mood. If birdbird is not a bird what is he? Also, why must people keep putting him in cages? It seemed if some objects just slightly touched me, I would die. Great job on making multiple levels. I know how hard it is to just get the mechanics down and one level made. |
| Aug 16 13:07:12 | 13h 50m | Space Invasion | ♥ 1 | Loved the minimalist artwork and humor of the game. As many have stated the difficulty was a little up there. Also determining what I could or couldn't walk on when I used the gun was difficult and it was a little weird that the spikes killed me if I touched them from the side and not on the pointy part. These are just minor things and the skip level was a nice touch, so people could see all the work you put in. Good job. |
| Aug 16 13:27:53 | 20m 41s | The Return | ♥ 0 | The controls and objective were not immediately clear but after a few playthroughs it made more sense. The floaters did not really make me think enemy I can attack and more made me think bomb. The game was still fun and I liked that it had a story. A tutorial might help and knowing how to get rid of a pink square you are standing on might help. |
| Aug 17 00:59:26 | 11h 31m | Ultimate Boss Battle of Doom | ♥ 1 | Initially I did not get that you should jump on the blue ball to attack the boss. The gameplay was interesting. There seemed to be graphical glitches the whole time I was playing, which was weird. Overall it was a game that fit the theme well and had mechanics that were different. |
| Aug 17 02:41:05 | 1h 41m | cargOS | ♥ 1 | I could see this game playing well as a mobile game. Took me a little while to figure out what I was trying to do, since the teleporters were not matching box colors and then I saw the color would change and that you could move boxes away from the teleporter and just on the ground. Might have been nice to know what color the space was going to change to, not sure if there was a predetermined or if it was random. |
| Aug 17 04:46:50 | 2h 05m | A Few Bits Left | ♥ 2 | I killed the bats and am unable to move anywhere. Maybe the game doesn't work well in Chrome. I liked the idea but as people said it is only loosely based on the theme. The Jump Attack also seemed really powerful. I bet if I could have played the whole game I would have liked it more. |
| Aug 17 13:26:46 | 8h 39m | Gone in dark cave | ♥ 1 | I think this may have worked better as a turn based game. I agree I was a little confused with what was going on and sort of was just clicking on random cards. Was my life solely based on if I filled up my inventory? The graphics were nice and some sound effects would put it over the top. This game can easily be expanded upon. I did like that the layout was random. |
| Aug 17 23:49:32 | 10h 22m | System_Corruption | ♥ 0 | Is there a reason you opted out of audio? Without any antagonist to stop me, the game felt a little more tedious than fun. I did enjoy the navigation with sound concept. Interesting concept that could easily be fleshed out and become fun. |
| Aug 18 20:45:09 | 20h 55m | Give Me Space | ♥ 0 | I think it may have been from playing the browser version but I did enjoy the artwork and the music was nice. I think if you posted a quick walkthrough video it would help users know how to play it. I enjoyed the personalities the planets had. |
| Aug 19 01:22:59 | 4h 37m | Nuclear Arms 6: Waste Wizard's Tricks | ♥ 1 | The game was definitely funny and congrats on making the sixth installment in a series. I liked that there was a story. Figuring out that aiming with the mouse would also kind of determine how wasd would move me was not super intuitive. Overall the game was a fun experience and I like that there aren't too many steps to get to the Wizard. I didn't beat the game but it was interesting. |
| Aug 19 12:08:40 | 10h 45m | Maze Crusher | ♥ 1 | The link is not working for me is there a particular web browser, I should use. |
| Aug 19 20:35:08 | 8h 26m | Pop it! | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed how each popcorn had personality. Maybe just some background music would have been nice. I liked the do not press level. Overall I had fun playing the game but seemed that there was more luck than skill to the play patterns. |
| Aug 20 14:06:45 | 17h 31m | The Space Between Us | ♥ 0 | Was the ship I was supposed to take based on the amount of health I chose at the beginning? I like that you could choose your difficulty that way. Initially I thought the 1 meant level 1, though. Some things were not immediately cleat but it was a fun game. |
| Aug 20 19:52:43 | 5h 45m | Mindlapse | ♥ 2 | Initially I thought the bricks were just part of the scenery and you could not pick them up. I also did not love that if I attacked enemies that were close that I would hurt myself but I think it makes sense for balancing reasons. The fact that if I was repairing a room and was not fast enough would cause me to die was a little sad, maybe an indication to bail. As some other people stated it was a little weird that you could rebuild rooms that you lost, it was uplifting, but made it so it might just make more sense to lose rooms then take the chance that you are repairing a room and it doesn't complete. Claymation is great, though, and the enemies had a scary and weird feel. Overall I enjoyed the game and it was fun to play. |
| Aug 21 13:13:51 | 17h 21m | Virus: Rabbit | ♥ 1 | I believe the system crashes too quickly. Also, why do my clones not attack? I would have enjoyed some sound effects, also. I enjoyed the concept and liked the music. Also, the game over screen was nice. It was fun to play. |
| Aug 21 14:11:04 | 57m 13s | Blocks | ♥ 1 | The jump was not consistent. The overall game was fun. Initially I was wondering how to die in the game because some of the collisions were not killing me. I enjoyed playing the game, there is nothing groundbreaking here but it was fun. |
| Aug 21 15:38:59 | 1h 27m | Placeholder | ♥ 0 | Aiming with the mouse is a little annoying. I think it might have been more fun if it was just on a singular plane and your attacks basically just shot forward and could detect if the enemy was a little higher. Also, not really knowing how I died was a little annoying. I liked the sound effects and music and the graphics. |
| Aug 21 20:01:05 | 4h 22m | Dish It Out | ♥ 0 | It was fun just hurling dishes but actually landing them on the center table was quite difficult. It also was weird that dishes did not shatter. I also did not really see the theme in this game. @levidsmith you can use esc to end the stage. |
| Aug 21 20:27:36 | 26m 31s | WearOut | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed the story and graphics. Having in game rules would always be nice. The rules state I regenerate health but I was not seeing it and it just seemed like my health would always go down even if I was attacking. I had fun, though. |
| Aug 21 20:50:30 | 22m 54s | Ultimate Harvest Day | ♥ 1 | Loved the artwork. Was reading the switch weapon as 0 instead of Q. Also, did not really get why I wanted to pickup vegetables, was it to throw them out of the enclosure? I liked that you integrated the rules into the scenery, was a nice touch. It was also satisfying to attack vegetables. Was a very polished game. |
| Aug 21 20:57:28 | 6m 58s | ClapBang | ♥ 1 | I think a tutorial/play through would go a long way for this game. I started to get the hang of it, but making it obvious what exactly are powerups would be helpful. It was still fun to play. |
| Aug 22 12:54:06 | 15h 56m | Claustrophobia | ♥ 1 | I agree I am not feeling running out of space even with the game supposed to invoke claustrophobia, I think sound would add a lot. Felt a lot like pokemon for the art style. It was overall fun, but I am a big component of sound adding atmosphere, which this game was definitely trying to invoke and I bet it was just a time thing. Like for me adding animation was difficult. |
| Aug 22 13:45:50 | 51m 44s | Star Hopper | ♥ 0 | I didn't find level 2 too difficult and I feel with a little more work I could have made it past level 3. I had fun playing it and was pretty determined. Like others have stated I think with some polish this could be a good mobile game. |
| Aug 22 14:45:04 | 59m 14s | Chickens & Elves | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the graphics, the music was a little loud. After a few play throughs what needed to be done made more sense. Maybe making it obvious that a new room being made expanded your time. Also, the clicking became a little tedious. |
| Aug 23 15:49:37 | 25h 04m | Evercloud | ♥ 1 | The mood was amazing. It seemed weird that I could not drown, but maybe my mask helped me breathe underwater. I really did not feel like I was running out of space because the rain was not really a hindrance in anyway. I actually thought the game made it pretty obvious what the next steps were, I always thought it was weird that I couldn't sleep on the ship. I felt a little sad at the end, I didn't really want to leave the planet, but I know the little guy did. Overall good job. |
| Aug 23 18:01:31 | 2h 11m | Exhaustlands | ♥ 0 | The mood and music was great. I feel the game needed more action, I see a lot of people enjoyed exploring the world but mainly just seeing gas stations did not get me excited. There is an army and darkness, fighting them as I explored would have added a nice element. |
| Aug 23 22:04:07 | 4h 02m | Sumo Warrior | ♥ 0 | I felt the game was more about avoidance than pushing the others out. I had fun playing it. Would have enjoyed some sound and maybe more obvious about how pale I am. |
| Aug 27 16:18:59 | 90h 14m | Obey | ♥ 1 | The game would have been better with audio, it felt empty without it. Also, there didn't really seem to be any goal to the game. Would also have been nice if I could have moved with the arrow keys also. A paper tearing sound would have really added to the world. |
| Aug 27 17:01:50 | 42m 51s | The Flopp | ♥ 1 | I really loved the reload for death animation. Some of the precision jumping did get a little frustrating. I found the graphics disappearing due to running out of space as interesting but it did not add too much to the gameplay. Some music would also be nice. I don't know if there were enemies because I did not play much farther after the moving platforms, but it is somewhat weird if there is an attack, but it is just used to break boxes. The game was fun. |
| Aug 27 20:30:21 | 3h 28m | EVOLUTION | ♥ 1 | I am not sure this is a game, but it is an amazing simulation and thought provoking. Your artwork is great and I love your youtube channel it has been really helpful in creating my first entry for a Ludum Dare. It seemed I could not deselect an object, once selected I had to place it, just a minor gameplay thing. |
| Aug 28 16:14:47 | 19h 44m | ChromeSmasher | ♥ 0 | I agree with most of the feedback, it took a little while for the game to speed up and then once I hit 20 points it seemed to ramp up a lot and my clicks were not being detected. Also, the death animation did not always play, so that was a little sad. I am happy you had a mute music button because the song did get a little repetitive. Overall good game, that could be great with some tweaks. |
| Aug 28 23:38:10 | 7h 23m | DataSkream | ♥ 2 | Really enjoyed the music and the gameplay. Was not 100% clear what I was supposed to do, besides not fall off. Not sure how much easier it would have been with a controller. Really liked the skull in the background and noticing more visuals each time I played the game. Overall, very good job. |
| Aug 29 14:29:35 | 14h 51m | Heirs Kingdom | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the music and sound effects. It also was quite fun and funny, trying to determine the correct structure was a good puzzle. |
| Aug 29 19:46:15 | 5h 16m | Pizza Defender | ♥ 1 | Was kind of weird that the monsters couldn't hurt me, I know the pizza was my health, but still, took a little away. Also, not being able to walk off the pizza felt a little glitchy. The good, loved the graphics and enjoyed watching the enemies get pushed back and die. The game was fun and with some sound and a few tweaks it would go over the top. |
| Aug 29 20:53:51 | 1h 07m | HUBOTS | ♥ 1 | Some of the robot noises got a little annoying, maybe as simple as different pitches would have helped. The game is fun and the graphics are nice. I never really felt like I ended up running out of any space, but overall it was good and the robots were efficient. |
| Sep 4 13:14:45 | 136h 20m | Tales Of Steel And Mana: Empire's Birth | ♥ 1 | I liked the management of the party. At first I thought my party was leveling up like a traditional RPG, but it seemed you had to swap out your lower level members for higher level members. The music ended up getting a little annoying and a few different sounds maybe even just sound effects during the battle would have been nice. I enjoyed the overall play and feel the game. |
| Sep 4 16:55:51 | 3h 41m | Action Replay | ♥ 0 | It is a little weird to have rocket shooting foxes as test subjects. I enjoyed the controls and timing things correctly to beat the levels. Overall I had fun. I didn't play long enough to determine if rockets would need to be used to defeat actual enemies. |
| Sep 4 19:48:43 | 2h 52m | Grey Goo | ♥ 0 | The turning was a little fast, I was not sure what the killswitch looked like. I enjoyed the sound of the grey goo. I did feel like I was running out of space. |
