The driver made me laugh. Good work!
why are there no comments on this one? this was the best one yet!
interesting ideas, I could see this game being a good puzzler.
5/5 NICE GAME! Art was so good. there seemed to be a bug with dropping the potion and switching screen causing it to disappear.
Nice one!
@sunderbird shoot it and then run down the pit!
@cloudlunar there's an audio que for how long you have to die. eventually the dart wears off. You have to be quick! In hindsight, adding the time limit didn't really add anything when the game is this simple, it just added confusion.
This one was great! Had to keep playing to try for a perfect score. Some of the questions didn't have obvious answers at first. When entering fullscreen mode i think the game slows down or at least the music does... Super fun. Thanks for making it!
I vibe with the survival aspect and atmosphere of this game.
Nice kitty game. I like the pixel art, a lot of games use mixels but you kept it mostly pure. I saw that the mouse cursor was mixels. To fix that you can make the cursor invisible and make a gameobject follow the mouse with a sprite-renderer! I did cat game too :v:
@zubi yup!
space. robots. loved it.
ahaha i was pressing control then hit W then my browser closed
I enjoyed this game a lot even though I didn't fully understand the pancake ratings or what the perfect color was, or how many times to flip... I got to a 91 score but ran into a lot of bugs for the 3rd pancake flip, that was frustrating. Overall I'm glad this game was made!
very interesting idea, I wish it was more casual though or found difficulty in other ways than execution of movement around blocky objects that cause instant death. the timings for some things were so tight where you had to play it perfectly or lose.
As is, it was cool and interesting, but I feel like there's a much bigger idea for rhythm game in there somewhere if you can figure out how to make a good beat more relevant + a way to have a bad beat and lose the game.
nice puzzle game. kept me busy with rookrules in his twitch chat trying to figure out the game!
Voice acting in a game jam game?! impressive. I had some FPS issues on webgl version, i'm guessing that's not a problem on the standalone build. Nice work!
@kepsert chrome
@kepsert i found out it was a chrome setting. i think i have hardware accel graphics turned off for discord streaming
Fun! Sort of a puzzle game to figure out how to make progress. Sound would have taken this to the next level! :v:
cool game. I liked the vibes. felt a little slow though, maybe was I doing something wrong?
Interesting concept, but extremely difficult to play. It's about prediction and hedging your bets on what's going to happen... sort of like a game of rock paper scissors except you can have a strategy. I'd be concerned about the pacing of the game for keeping players and also the learning curve for bringing them in.
I think it's really polished in terms of graphics, UI, sound, and controls, but without a player2 it might be hard to continue playing.
@doot Aww. So I can't say, "I'm better than the people who make this game!" :laughing: I remember friends saying that when I was younger. Welp, guess I gotta play more to beat you.
Edit: Aha! just beat it.

and again!

got like 15 FPS on webgl for some reason. its a fun puzzle sorting game!
such a funny game :clap:
Hello fellow cat game developer. +cute +enjoyed :cat:
loved the burger and shrimp boss. made me laugh.
reminds me of starcraft
cute smol game! I thought the 4shot was a powerup i was picking up. turns out it was a random gun swap ever 10 seconds! I hate that one!
@krasimir-balchev Ya! the plan was to have hiding spots for the kitties so a lot more than 3 get on the screen at the same time. when I looked at the time left we were in a panic and didn't even get to make the in-game tutorial!
@joey-van-lierop Thanks so much!
@thestoff ya, now that I think about it, we shoulda made it so you have to drag the cats back to the start.
@mechanicallife I could have created some overlap of customers by having them think for a while. Like they show up and say: "Hmmmm..." (more waiting = higher difficulty). And also cats being able to hide behind things was something I didn't get to add.
@bravelytyped hmm, maybe you dropped too many drinks when trying to stop the cats? if holding a cup/mug without trashing it, it counts as 1 mistake. or maybe some guests didn't receive their order within 30seconds? I'm fairly certain the game doesn't have any bugs in terms of losing/winning.
@eoshadows unfortunately the win screen didn't make it in time LOL, only the lose screen has a special screen.
@bun You worked at a subway with cats? Please tell me where! :laughing:
there is a failure sound on all mistakes 👀 @nyxkn but im sure things could be made more obvious
@sleepymenace it might have been this: When a mistake happens it waits 1-2 seconds before acting on the outcome. ie: losing.
When clicking on a cat, if you are holding a drink thats 1 of your 3 strikes. Either that or a coincidence of a customer leaving the cafe after 30 seconds which is another mistake.
@projectcolorball i will check yours out tmmrw!
nice idea with the ghost to also solve puzzles. Some of those levels were frustrating though. I really liked the first time i realized i needed to use the ghost to solve puzzles. If you could reproduce that euricka moment and use that for puzzles instead of making the frustrating timing ones it would appeal to a larger audience.
Great Idea for a game! I got 105
I resonate with this game. Well done. I was confused when the timer disappeared, I thought maybe it was a bug but I read now that's just a difficulty ramp.
nice job on your first game! I like to use game-jams to practice polishing projects quickly and when it comes to polishing, every little thing you can do makes a difference. Like adjusting the camera background color or adding sound effects to things that are happening. Hope you keep game jamming in the future! :balloon:
ohh another idea: u could try editing the physics layers so the balls dont collide with themselves
kinda reminds me of auto-chess games, a match3 to upgrade system would be a nice improvement to the gameloop
Hilarious story, that's coming from someone who doesn't often play story games :v:
phew, found all 8. ggs.
