Oct 20 06:52:46 Punch Card 0 ♥ 1 this one has such a nasty little atmosphere, the punch card sorting loop got its hooks in me way faster than i expected. the photo developing thing confused the hell out of me at first too, i spent way too long staring at a black photo before i figured out you can hang them up lol. same with the tapes, i was trying to get the signal up before realizing i had to actually press e to play the thing. once it clicks though it's really damn good, the sound design especially. good stuff
Oct 20 06:53:00 14s Boo'x Office ♥ 4 the vibe is great, old cinema + ghosts + film reels is such a good fit for the theme, and the projection booth looks amazing. but yeah i also got lost on the timing, i thought the time on the paper was when i had to swap the reel and kept dying because of it. also had the game crap out on me once in the first few minutes. still, when it works it's really cool, just needs the rules to be a bit clearer
Oct 20 06:53:40 40s Bauerhaus ♥ 0 this might be my favourite thing i've played so far, the whole pawnshop at the end of the world setup is so damn good. deducing whether some wasteland weirdo is scamming you with a fake relic is way more tense than it has any right to be, and the art + music carry it hard. i do wish there was a bit more time to actually learn the item values before the ship leaves, i fucked up my first run by trusting the wrong guy. still, brilliant little game
Oct 20 06:53:55 15s UNCALLED FOR ♥ 1 fun portal-ish puzzler, the camera/gallery gimmick is a neat idea and the whole phone company setup got a few laughs out of me. solid work
Oct 20 11:37:38 4h 43m The INNOffice ♥ 1 this one got me good, the whole 2000s office full of old relics is such a perfect fit for the theme and the atmosphere is way creepier than i expected from an anomaly hunt. the red light does make it a bit too easy, but honestly i didn't mind because i just wanted to keep walking around and looking at all the stuff. did you randomize the anomaly pool per run, or is it a fixed set? either way, really strong work for a jam.
Oct 20 11:37:45 7s Ghost in the Egg ♥ 3 the y2k bedroom is unreal, all the fake brands like gugu, bloop and punipuni are such a love letter to that era, and the moonpet jumping between the tamagotchi, the pc and the tv is a great touch. it actually made me want to sit there and take care of the little guy. how did you handle the pet's needs across three devices, is it one shared mood or does each device have its own? really charming game.
Oct 20 11:37:54 9s DAISY ♥ 1 the daisy bell connection is such a lovely idea for a game about old tech, and the 8-bit version of the song fits perfectly. i loved the little village and the made up language, it made the whole thing feel like a lost 90s cd-rom. how did you make the vocal synth sound, is it sampled or generated? and thanks for the tips in the comments, they helped a lot.
Oct 20 11:38:01 7s Teteria ♥ 1 the hand-drawn paper art is gorgeous, it gives the whole tea house such a warm storybook feel and the samovar as the old tech centerpiece is a really clever pick. i can't believe this was made in a day and a half, it feels way more complete than that. did you scan the paper drawings and clean them up, or draw them digitally in that style? either way, really charming little game.
Oct 20 11:38:09 8s Oops! No Floor! ♥ 1 the elephant model is genuinely the best thing in this game, i laughed out loud when i saw it. the snowball fights are janky in the best way and the whole thing has a really fun energy. i saw you mention fall guys in another comment, are you planning to keep working on this after the jam? would love to see more maps and more ridiculous characters.
Oct 20 11:38:24 15s REWIND RAMPAGE ♥ 1 the record and rewind mechanic is such a good fit for the theme, and using your own past movements as a weapon is a really smart twist. the neon look and the cassette boss are great too, i poked it like you suggested and it made me grin. how did you store the recorded movement, is it a full replay of positions or just the key inputs? impressive for a first solo jam.
Oct 20 11:38:32 8s Old Man Playing Old Game ♥ 1 the whole concept of an old man finally finishing the game he never could is so good, and the nintendold details are everywhere. i died a lot but the cheats saved me and i appreciate that you left them in on purpose lol. did you design the ending first and build the game around it, or did it come together while you were making the levels? really fun entry.
Oct 20 11:38:39 7s Old Tech Village ♥ 0 the idea of flipping the theme so the machines are the threat and the village is the one clinging to old tools is really clever. the dusk lighting and the low poly look are lovely, and the day and night loop with the mill and the well gives it a nice rhythm. how did you balance the nights, was it mostly playtesting or just tuning numbers? solid work for a solo jam.
Oct 20 11:38:47 8s Rhythm Coders ♥ 3 this is such a clever toy, dragging a hard drive or a modem onto the stage and having it fall into the same four chords is really satisfying, and the fact that everything stays in key means you can't really make it sound bad. the art and animations give it a ton of personality too. did you build the loops in a daw first and then cut them to the same bpm, or is it all synthesized in engine? would love to see more acts.
Oct 20 11:38:54 7s Claude castle ♥ 3 this is a wild experiment, using claude to generate scene scripts for your own 3d engine is a really interesting workflow and the result is weirdly charming. walking around a scene that's basically a live dev log, complete with a castle, guards and a failed voxel horse, is such a fun idea. how much of it actually comes from the model versus hand placed? curious where you want to take this next.
Oct 20 11:55:12 16m 18s Stardust ♥ 0 the star lifecycle as a progression system is such a lovely idea, going from a dust cloud to a hypergiant and then seeing what kind of dead star your mass leaves behind is way more interesting than a normal score chase. the live webaudio soundtrack is impressive too, it fits the cosmic mood perfectly. did you tune the audio layers per stage, or is it one generative system that follows your mass? really nice work.
Oct 20 11:55:22 10s Punch Corp ♥ 1 the punched tape programming angle is such a good fit for the theme, and turning actual 4 bit instructions into puzzles is a neat way to make old tech feel hands on. the presentation is ridiculously clean for a jam game, the terminal look sells it completely. how did you decide which of the 15 instructions to build the puzzles around? really solid work.
Oct 20 11:55:32 10s What is this? ♥ 1 the art and animation here are gorgeous, the idle motion is so smooth and the color palette is lovely, it feels like a hand crafted little storybook. i also like how the character sinks under the floor when the moves run out, it's a small detail but it gives the whole thing personality. was the move limit the core puzzle idea from the start, or did it come in later? really charming work.
Oct 20 12:03:01 7m 29s Ancient Technology ♥ 1 this is a really chill little mining and repair game, the hand drawn sprites have a lot of character and the sound effects fit perfectly. i like that the machine is buried and you have to dig around to find what it needs, it makes the repair feel like a proper little archaeology project. the hidden gear behind the rocks was a nice touch too. did you draw everything in aseprite during the jam? nice work.
Oct 20 12:03:10 9s Machinerra ♥ 1 the steampunk scavenger world is really evocative, a robot flying out from a zeppelin city to strip ruins for parts is a great premise and the helper bot building sounds like a lot of fun. i also appreciate that the game saves your progress, that's a small thing that makes a jam game much easier to come back to. was the robot princess always part of the plan, or did the story grow during the jam? cool concept.
Oct 20 12:03:24 14s Tiny Technician ♥ 1 the 8 bit register mechanic is such a clever way to make old tech feel tactile, flipping overflow and underflow values until they land in range is basically the computer architecture class i barely passed, but way more fun. the art style is great too, the whole inside the machine framing works really well. did you design the ranges by hand for each level, or generate them? really nice little puzzler.
Oct 20 12:10:58 7m 34s While the Lantern Burns ♥ 1 the atmosphere in this one is fantastic, the flickering lantern light and the noises in the dark do a lot of work with very little. i really like that the musket takes a whole little ritual to fire, having to light it on the lantern first turns every encounter into a panic and makes the tools feel properly old and fiddly. was that multi step reload always the plan, or did it come out of playtesting? great mood.
Oct 20 12:11:06 8s LightBulb ♥ 1 this is such a tactile little idea, bringing a dead incandescent bulb back by physically swaying it and trying to balance the filament is weirdly satisfying. the moment the light slowly comes on is genuinely lovely, and the whole thing fits the old tech theme perfectly. how did you tune the filament motion so it feels fiddly but still fair? really nice experimental piece.
Oct 20 12:11:15 9s PHOBOS 101 ♥ 1 the investigation loop here is really well put together, turning facts and hypotheses into something you assemble yourself makes the mystery feel active instead of just reading a wall of text. the UI and soundtrack are doing a lot of heavy lifting too, the whole thing feels much bigger than a jam game. how did you keep the hypothesis system from turning into brute force trial and error? really impressive work.
Oct 20 12:18:38 7m 23s 1999.12.xx ♥ 1 the slice of life setting is so specific and nostalgic, a quiet town in december 1999 with homework, a record store and the same songs on the radio is a lovely place to spend some time. the cassette and the town bell are good hooks, they make the ordinary school day feel like it's hiding something. did you grow up with that kind of town, or did you research the period for the details? really charming.
Oct 20 12:18:47 9s Primitive Logistics ♥ 1 using logs as rollers to move a giant fragile robot is such a great joke, and it's a genuinely clever bit of old tech problem solving. the hand drawn ruined city with the swirly sun looks gorgeous, the whole thing has a really strong visual identity. the controls take a little getting used to, but the rolling concept itself is great. how long did it take to tune the log physics? lovely work.
Oct 20 12:18:56 9s Boom Boy ♥ 1 a lonely boom box collecting musical notes to repair broken radios is such a charming premise, and the 90s platformer look sells it completely. the music and sfx are great, and using notes as pickups ties the whole idea together nicely. it also feels like the perfect length, it doesn't outstay its welcome. did you compose the soundtrack before building the levels, or the other way around? really fun little game.
Oct 20 12:26:19 7m 23s Clonk Fight! ♥ 1 kitbashing old tech into horrible little clonks and sending them into an auto battle is a great use of the theme, and the idea of fighting teams that came before you is a clever way to make it feel multiplayer. the art has a really distinct look too. i did find the upgrade and bonus side of things a bit dense at first, but it made me want to keep experimenting. how did you balance the combining so it stays fun instead of just stacking one stat? nice work.
Oct 20 12:26:28 9s BOGEY OR BANDIT ♥ 1 the radar operator fantasy is so well executed, locking signals on the sweep and deciding whether a blip is a real attack or a false echo is a genuinely tense little loop. the console UI is gorgeous and the old military hardware look fits the theme perfectly. did you ever consider adding background sound, or did you want the silence to feel like an empty base? really polished work.
Oct 20 12:26:37 9s Old Dam Shift ♥ 1 a hydroelectric dispatcher sim is such an unusual pick for the theme, and i love that the whole game is just reading the water levels and grid lamps and trying not to wreck the reservoir. the tension between following grid orders and keeping the headwater in range is a really smart little systems puzzle. the learning curve is steep, but that's part of the charm of a proper old industrial console. did you base the numbers on a real plant? really interesting take.
Oct 20 12:34:03 7m 26s Simon's Key ♥ 1 a solomon's key style puzzle game is a lovely nod to old tech, and ten hand made levels is a lot of work for a jam. the block pushing and falling rules feel properly retro, and the short story gives it a bit of personality beyond the puzzles. level 3 seems to be a proper little difficulty spike, which is a good sign. did you design the levels on paper first, or build them straight in the engine? nice work.
Oct 20 12:34:13 10s Bunker-88 ♥ 1 for a first game jam this is a really solid little escape room, the abandoned bunker setting and the friend's prank give it a fun personal hook. the decimal to binary and trig puzzles are a nice bit of old tech flavor, and it's cool that you went for real math instead of just hidden keys. the outside area could maybe use a bit more love, but honestly this is a strong first entry. what was the hardest puzzle to design? keep at it.
Oct 20 12:34:22 9s Pinball Mechanic Mania ♥ 1 a pinball deckbuilder where the machine itself is the deck is such a strange and fun idea, and it somehow makes perfect sense once you see the component upgrades. i love that you can keep tuning the machine between rounds instead of just playing one static table, it gives every run a bit of personality. hitting a million points feels like a proper goal too. how did you balance the scoring so upgrades stay exciting without breaking the table? really clever fusion.
Oct 20 17:51:01 5h 16m Quiet Carriage ♥ 1 a little train running along the bottom of the desktop is such a cozy idea, and the fact that you can ride the flying scotsman or the big boy makes it feel like a proper tribute to the old locomotives. the sound design being synthesized from the real wheel layout is a lovely detail too. was it hard to get the exhaust beats to line up with the wheel rhythm? really charming project.
Oct 20 17:55:52 4m 51s It's a Pipe Dream ♥ 2 the pneumatic post office is such a wonderful setting, and trading objects and letters with people from other centuries through a strange machine is a great hook. i love that the letters have flair from their era, it makes the whole catalogue feel like a little museum. was the time travel logic planned out first, or did the objects come first and the story grew around them? really lovely atmosphere.
Oct 20 18:01:04 5m 12s Bit Clash ♥ 0 for a first game project this looks really promising, the 3d style and the colors give it a strong identity and the superpower recharge adds a nice bit of decision making. the movement takes some getting used to, but the concept itself is fun and i like the direction. what was the hardest part of building your first project? keep at it.
Oct 20 18:05:50 4m 46s Hail Mary ♥ 0 a probe launched with nothing but gravity assists is such a great fit for the old tech theme, and the voyager 1977 inspiration gives it a really strong identity. the vibe and sound do a lot of work too, it feels like a proper little space mission. was the gravity assist system hard to tune so the route stays readable? nice work.
Oct 20 18:10:37 4m 47s Sound of Night ♥ 1 teaching morse code through a mystery game is such a clever idea, and the fact that the tutorial actually teaches you something real makes it feel much more than a jam game. the morse audio and the atmosphere fit the theme perfectly. how did you balance the tutorial so it doesn't give away the mystery? really nice work.
Oct 21 11:46:53 17h 36m Now Showing a Stranger ♥ 0 adapting the stranger through an old tv set is such a smart idea, the chunky knobs and the note stuck to it sell the whole framing before you even start reading. the simple grey scenes fit the story really well too, it feels like a lost broadcast. was it hard to decide which parts of the book to turn into choices? really atmospheric work.
Oct 21 11:49:26 2m 33s SMASH TO FIX ♥ 1 smashing your grandpa's old stuff to fix it is such a silly premise, and the whole thing commits to the joke in the best way. shooting with your foot and slapping things around gives it a proper arcade feel, simple but hard to put down. how did you come up with the smash to fix rule? really fun little game.
Oct 21 11:52:09 2m 43s Recaller ♥ 2 playing a call operator who has to connect people to the right place is such a tense idea, and the fact that a wrong call can cost someone their life gives every conversation weight. the old fashioned 3d models and the mood are really striking too, it feels like a forgotten ps1 game. how did you keep the call logic readable without turning it into a guessing game? really intriguing project.
Oct 21 11:55:00 2m 51s DECLIVIS ♥ 0 an aqueduct engineer in ancient rome is such a fresh take on the theme, and making every step cost food based on elevation is a really clever twist on movement. it turns simple movement into a proper logistics puzzle, which fits the old tech idea perfectly. was the elevation cost the first mechanic you prototyped, or did it come later? really interesting design.
Oct 21 11:57:51 2m 51s Data ♥ 1 a secret agent trapped in the wrong basement is a great setup for a puzzle game, and the emphasis on noticing every little clue gives it a proper escape room feel. the lack of hand holding is refreshing, even if it means staring at the same room for a while. did you design the puzzles around one big aha moment, or a chain of smaller ones? nice work.
Oct 21 12:00:54 3m 03s The little bot who could... SAVE THE WORLD! ♥ 1 the tv headed robot on the title screen has such a fun saturday morning cartoon vibe, and the whole quest for the old tech fits the theme nicely. i like that you have to hunt for keys and a battery before you can save the world, it gives the little bot a proper adventure. was the factory designed around one route, or did you build it with multiple paths in mind? cute game.
Oct 21 12:03:43 2m 49s NEO REPAIR: KAWAIITECH ♥ 0 an asmr cleaning simulator for old 16 bit gadgets is such a specific and lovely idea, and blasting the dust off while their little anime faces get happier is weirdly satisfying. the particle effects do a lot of the work, watching the grime scatter is the best part. which of the five gadgets was the most fun to design? really cozy little game.
Oct 21 12:06:37 2m 54s Repair Permission ♥ 1 a terminal with a mood is such a fun concept, and the idea that old replays every input before the three endings split is a really clever way to make the whole thing feel haunted. the three repair attitudes give the short game a lot of replay value too. was the delete ending always the darkest one, or did the tone shift while writing? really neat idea.
Oct 21 12:09:30 2m 53s Pager Panic ♥ 0 a hospital shift run through a pager is such a clever interface, the extension and code system makes every bleep feel urgent without needing a big tutorial. the little people in the beds are a charming detail too, it makes the ward feel alive. did you tune the critical codes by hand, or let the difficulty ramp on its own? really fun concept.
Oct 21 12:12:22 2m 52s XENOCHRON ♥ 1 a top down shooter where you sneak around and save your friend joe is a strong combo, and the alien tech gives the whole thing a proper sci fi edge. the arm movement and the dash add a lot of dynamism, it looks really satisfying to play. was the dash delay something you tuned on purpose to keep the pace tense? really cool project.
Oct 21 16:04:43 3h 52m Retro Tech Gallery ♥ 2 a deckbuilder about keeping a retro tech gallery alive is such a fun pitch, and the bag building twist fits it better than a normal card shop ever could. the items and the artstyle have a lot of charm too, i kept wanting to see what the next day would bring. how did you balance the randomness so the shop still feels fair? really charming little game.
Oct 21 16:07:34 2m 51s BIT ROT ♥ 0 turning your shots into walls is such a clever twist for a tactics deckbuilder, it makes every move feel like a tradeoff instead of just picking the biggest damage card. using memory slots as health is a really nice touch too, it fits the old machine theme perfectly. did you tune the eight slots specifically to make corruption feel scary but not hopeless? really strong design.
Oct 21 16:10:31 2m 57s Rotabot ♥ 1 a robot secretly built to win at an ancient board game is such a fun premise, and hiding the inventor inside it gives the whole thing a great con artist energy. pushing your own token around makes a simple game of three in a row way more interesting than it has any right to be. did the chess turk inspiration come first, or did the rota idea come after? really clever little game.
Oct 21 16:13:27 2m 56s Detech ♥ 1 a grumpy old mechanic who fights robots by downgrading them back to primitive tech is such a good character idea, and the wrench plus downgrade grenade combo sells the whole fantasy. the animations and the character model have a lot of personality too. was the downgrade grenade always the ultimate, or did it start as a regular weapon? really fun concept.
Oct 21 16:16:22 2m 55s The Last Route ♥ 0 a colony builder on an old train that has to keep moving or get swallowed by the fog is such a tense setup, it turns every stop into a real decision. the expedition loop and the rescued passengers give the run a nice sense of purpose too. how did you tune the fog timer so the pressure stays tense without feeling unfair? really strong concept.
Oct 21 16:19:23 3m 01s Notes on Ancient Tech ♥ 1 the idea of studying a dead civilisation's tech through ads and blueprints is such a smart inversion of the theme, and the hand drawn art makes the whole archive feel like a real museum find. the cute little aliens are a lovely contrast to all that archaeology too. was it hard to keep the blueprints ambiguous enough to puzzle over but clear enough to solve? really lovely project.
Oct 21 16:22:16 2m 53s Memory ♥ 0 playing as a little toy robot who fixes old machines to remember the kid who carried it is such a touching premise, and the battery ticking down adds real weight to every puzzle. the projector and the rotary phone are lovely choices for the old tech theme too. did the order of the memories change how you wrote them, or were they always tied to specific machines? really sweet game.
Oct 21 16:25:14 2m 58s Old Tech Disposal Inc ♥ 0 smashing up obsolete robots for a corporate payday is such a fun, cynical little premise, and the visuals and audio sell that grimy industrial vibe really well. there's something satisfying about the whole disposal loop, it fits the theme in a way that's a bit mean and very funny. was the corporate framing there from the start, or did it come out of the robot designs? solid work.
Oct 21 16:28:06 2m 52s GEARBOUND ♥ 1 a robot rebuilding itself from scrap in a wasteland full of obsolete machines is such a fitting take on old tech, and the upgrade loop gives every run a reason to go a bit further. the music and the visuals do a lot of the heavy lifting too, the whole thing feels properly moody. how did you approach the upgrade curve so each run feels a little different? nice work.
Oct 21 16:31:01 2m 55s Fire Already!! ♥ 0 a caveman trying to assemble a flat pack fire starter from aeki is such a funny idea, and the pencil drawn art gives it a storybook charm that makes the whole joke land. the wife checking in on the progress is a great touch too, it adds so much character to a tiny game. how long did the hand drawn animations take you? really charming work.
Oct 22 13:49:31 21h 18m Who is Nana? ♥ 0 the setup alone got me - a knockoff virtual pet on a windows 98 pc in a seoul apartment is such a specific and creepy idea. i love that the horror comes from being a bad pet owner rather than a monster jumping out. the art and the glow of the monitor look great too. a couple of people got stuck inside a monitor, which is a shame because the mood is really strong. did you build the whole apartment in 3d or is it mostly painted backgrounds?
Oct 22 13:52:52 3m 21s Meow Bomb! ♥ 1 a working cat building an atom bomb to wipe out the dogs is exactly the kind of nonsense i want from a jam game. the art is adorable and the little animations sell it. i did see a few people say they wanted more to do and a meow or two, and honestly a cat game without a meow is a crime. still, it's a very charming little thing. was the computer supposed to do something or was it just set dressing?
Oct 22 13:56:06 3m 14s The Switchboard Operator ♥ 0 this is such a good fit for the theme - plugging cords on a london switchboard while the call goes cold is way more tense than it has any right to be. the phone book and district papers are a nice touch, it feels like real work instead of a minigame. i saw someone managed to break it by plugging a wire into an occupied slot, which is honestly impressive. did you consider adding a shift timer, or does the call cooling down do enough pressure on its own?
Oct 22 13:59:20 3m 14s Apteka ♥ 1 the amount of detail in this is unreal for a jam - weighing powders on a balance, poison register papers, three fines and off to the gulag. the setting of a soviet pharmacy in the 1930s with a sick kid at home gives it real weight. i can see how everything being available at once might be overwhelming at first, but the loop itself sounds great. did you model the whole pharmacy by hand or use a kit?
Oct 22 14:02:28 3m 08s Blackwater ♥ 0 the stormy sea, the lighthouse and the little lit sailboat look gorgeous, and steering while keeping enemies in the cannon cone is a neat twist on naval combat. i like that clearing a wave repairs your hull, it keeps the run moving. a few people mentioned the camera not panning left and rocks killing you instantly, which sounds rough. did you try a wider camera or is the tight view part of the tension?
Oct 22 14:05:38 3m 10s REWIND 3000 ♥ 1 rewinding a cassette with a pencil until it becomes a cosmic event is a stupidly good premise for an incremental game. the visuals are trippy and the sound design apparently carries it, which is exactly what a clicker needs. i get why people say it drags after the last upgrade, but the ride there sounds great. how long did it take to get the tape speed curve feeling right?
Oct 22 14:09:01 3m 23s Analog Overdrive ♥ 1 this looks like someone fed a crt monitor energy drinks and it somehow worked. dodging bullets while spamming 1-4 to keep the sectors alive is a great way to make the hardware feel like part of the fight. the vfx and camera shake are genuinely impressive for 72 hours. i did see people get stuck on the puzzles, which makes me curious how much of the game is combat vs puzzle. was the secret ending hard to find for playtesters?
Oct 22 14:12:03 3m 02s HYPNAGOGIA FRONT ♥ 1 the idea of watching someone else's reality fall apart through a camera is really unsettling in a good way. the asylum corridors and the fact that you never see through iris's eyes is a smart choice - it keeps you at a distance while still feeling complicit. the art and the dub sound like they carry a lot of the horror. someone said they had to draw a map on paper, which is the highest compliment a horror game can get. did you design the maze on paper first?
Oct 22 14:15:18 3m 15s Floppy Defrag ♥ 1 defragmenting a floppy as a sokoban puzzle is such a clean idea, and the old windows look sells it perfectly. the levels seem to escalate quickly - someone got stuck on the fourth one with a wall of data blocks, which sounds like the exact moment the game clicks or breaks you. still, it's a very pleasant little puzzle game. did you tune the levels by hand or generate them and pick the good ones?
Oct 22 14:18:39 3m 21s Abattlacus ♥ 0 an abacus that fights itself while you haggle over relics is a great premise, and the polish is honestly ridiculous for a jam. the magician being someone's goat made me laugh. i can see why people want more rounds and a way to check what relics do before buying them, but the loop clearly works. did you balance the difficulty around barely winning on purpose? the comments make it sound like the last round is a knife fight.
Oct 22 14:21:42 3m 03s Among flat ♥ 1 the cardboard cutout look is genuinely one of the best visual styles i've seen this jam, it feels like a weird little animated short. hiding among boxes and following instructions is a fun premise too. i did see people struggle with the tutorial and the controls, which is a shame because the art deserves a smooth first five minutes. did you consider a simpler interaction for picking up the cogs?
Oct 22 14:24:54 3m 12s Nomad City ♥ 0 a moving steampunk city made of modules is such a strong idea, and the screenshots look gorgeous - the color palette especially. it's wild that this was made in 48 hours. a couple of people questioned whether a driving city counts as old tech, but honestly the vibe carries it. how did you handle the autobattler balance with so many modules? did you have a favorite build during testing?
Oct 22 14:28:10 3m 16s Flesh Harbour ♥ 3 fishing to keep your own heart alive in a jar is exactly the kind of cursed concept that makes ld fun. the pier and the harbor look great, and the whole aesthetic is consistently unsettling. i saw someone ask if the vessels coming out of the heart box are supposed to be attached like that, which is a funny kind of bug. did you start from the fishing loop or from the heart idea?
Oct 22 14:31:20 3m 10s RAM256 ♥ 2 a desktop that fills with pop-ups until you get the blue screen is a great way to make old tech feel like a boss fight. the drag-and-drop file merging sounds simple but the chaos ramps fast, judging by the comments. i like that only one x is real - that's evil in the best way. someone said it's a carpal tunnel trigger on a trackpad, which i believe. did you ever consider a touchpad-friendly mode or is the suffering the point?
Oct 22 14:34:33 3m 13s GO AWAY ♥ 1 a primitive tribe defending its island from tourists and data centers is a hilarious and weirdly timely idea. the ballistic arrows sound satisfying and the art looks great. i love that it turns into a 7-minute last stand while the island fills with garbage. someone mentioned breaking the geneva conventions by shooting skydivers, which is the best compliment this game could get. did you try longer rounds or does 7 minutes feel like the sweet spot?
