that stormy sea looks lovely, the waves, the rain, the lighthouse and the little lit sailboat. i only got into the first wave so cant say much about the fight. wasnt sure where the old tech part comes in though

Really cool concept! I like the idea of steering the ship while keeping enemies in the cannon's firing range. The stormy sea setting and naval combat create an interesting atmosphere. Having to manage positioning while avoiding obstacles sounds like a fun challenge. Great work for a game jam!
Thanks for trying @gevernus and @artemeda !
The old tech was going to be a sextant to help navigate towards the lighthouse, but we decided it was getting too complicated đ˘

We hoped that the "ships" with "cannons" would still fit the "old tech" theme.

Always love a good nautical game! are exported diagnostics of any use to you? I beat the 5 of 5 waves, it was fun dodging canons, mines and the last ship was hardcore
I really enjoy attacking and destroying enemy ships, but itâs incredibly frustrating to be instantly destroyed after colliding with a rockâsimply because the camera wonât pan to the left, leaving me unable to keep track of my surroundings. Overall, the game is well-crafted and solid, and the graphics are of a decent standard.
I am really happy to sea another sailing game in the jam. It was really great to see the different approach you guys went for with 3d and the shooting mechanics, and adding music into the game I feel made very fun and immersive. I loved it.
I love the vibe !! The gameplay is simple to grasp and rewarding. Really well polished.
Thanks for trying the game @hurricxme , @tenthousandfireants @maxxxmax @stormrider @alex-lumi ! Ill make sure to check your games out :)
Glad it wasnt too challenging/frustrating, that you actaully finished the game! @tenthousandfireants I hope the boss was balanced well enough.
The diagnostics was just something i added to help debug why the game was performing like shit on my friend's PC. Almost the entire day 2 of the jam was spent with cleaning shit code lol
Turns out the main thing was the way I was drawing the player's cone-of-attack area! I was doing it every frame, and projecting onto the surface.
@maxxxmax -- yeah good point about the camera... I should have just let players rotate to the other side as well lol
@stormrider ooo im curious to see what you have done with your sailing game!
@alex-lumi glad it was fun :)
Such a fun game and so impressed by the graphics done in the short amount of time!
I like the atmosphere! It makes me feel like really sailing on the sea. Really a good work!
I had a great time with this game! The music and graphics were great and I really enjoy the idea of having to manage both looking to the right to target and looking forward to steer. I will say that the damage warnings were more confusing than helpful, and in general it was hard to tell what would do damage to me, especially because at the end because the flagship blocked my healthbar (I like the ship showing visible damage though). Despite that though this was still a very enjoyable experience! I can tell that you put a lot of work into this, it's very polished.
I liked this a lot and I thought that it fit the theme pretty well with the old ships and cannon fire. The controls were actually ok, at first I thought that it was going to feel clunky after I read them but they ended up being pretty intuitive. The navigation itself was easy but getting used to only being able to shoot on one side was the only challenge. I liked that aspect of it though as it required you think about how you should position your ship.
Fun game, you could definitely expand on the concept to make a full game out of it.
I cannot say how much I loved the taking down of other ships. I feel the difficulty was super well balanced. Not so easy it was a breeze but not so hard I struggled to sink a single ship. Getting used to shooting from one side was odd but I enjoyed how it made me adapt. I hope you make this into a full game afterwards cause it was honestly just great.
really cool graphics, would be nice if it was more themed, but I see why in other comments why it isnt. I think the graphics are really cool though, seeing more gameplay with this would be sick
Damn, that's really cool! The graphics are quite cozy :)
I liked itâitâs a cool game. If you polish the graphics, story, sound, and music, you could release it on Steam.
The moonlit sea looks great, gave me Sea of Thieves and Pirates of the Caribbean vibes. Pretty simple game, but I had fun sailing around and sinking ships!
tbh I wasnât really drawn in by the trailer, but the actual gameplay felt good! Maybe adding some backstory would make it even better
Really lovely atmosphere - the stormy sea, rain, lighthouse, and little lit sailboat all come together beautifully, and the music makes it feel surprisingly immersive. The core idea of steering while keeping enemies in your cannonâs firing range is simple to grasp but still makes you think about positioning, and the one-side-only shooting adds a nice challenge without feeling too clunky.
I played a few waves and had fun sinking ships; the difficulty felt pretty well balanced. My main confusion was feedback: it wasnât always clear what could damage me, and the camera/rock collisions could feel frustrating when I couldnât see what was coming. I also wasnât sure how the âold techâ theme connected at first, though the old ships and cannons mostly sell it. Overall, a very polished and enjoyable jam game - would love to see it expanded with clearer damage warnings and a bit more camera freedom
Really solid game! It feels like a complete, polished experience, even if it's short (which is actually perfect for a jam!).
I really liked the difficulty progression. The first few waves are easy enough to get comfortable with the controls, waves 3 and 4 gave me a bit of a challenge, and then I encountered the Flagship, which had its own unique mechanics that forced me to adapt again.
The one thing I found a little awkward was the camera. It felt a bit too restricted, and I had to maneuver around quite a lot just to find a comfortable viewing angle. Though maybe that's part of the intended challenge!
Either way, this is one of the best games I've played so far on this LD. Congrats on the release, and best of luck!
This is a fun one, mechanics felt great and unique.
Pretty fun game! I feel like the shooting sound could fit a bit better, and I found it a little difficult to hit targets. Sometimes it feels unfair when a ship seems to be in the hit zone, but the shot still misses. Still, a solid game overall. Nice work!
Thanks @nyla-j @anima-animus049 @eklsn! Really glad you liked the atmosphere! We spent way too much time getting the ocean and lighting right haha We really wanted to make it more wavey and turbulent, but that was getting really hard (eg like the below)
Screenshot 2026-10-20 at 10.57.44âŻpm.png
Thanks @delta @thanatosisanoob @enad96. Glad the one-sided cannons worked out as an interesting mechanic. we weren't sure if people would find them fun or just frustrating haha
Thanks @neolog @nikitastarostin, really appreciate the detailed feedback! Definitely agree the damage indicators need work (we wanted the damage to be digetic -- the ship hopefully looks like its falling apart after you take a hit), and the camera could use a bit more freedom. Glad you had fun though!
Thanks @rekk1d @victor-gusev @blus7! Sea of Thieves and Pirates of the Caribbean were references haha (actaully the biggest was a game called "sail forth"). Would definitely be fun to expand this beyond the jam.... but unfortunatly, unlikely lol
Thanks @skigfx! Really glad you enjoyed the difficulty progression and the flagship! You're right about the camera, we probably made it a bit too restrictive. Good luck with your entry too!
Thanks @dracco-0n! Haha fair point about the youtube playthrough, we probably need to do a better job showing off the gameplay. Glad you gave it a shot!
Nice game! It's quite polished if you ask me for a game jam. Also, another strong point is having an interactive tutorial + settings.
For gameplay, I like the boat's movement and, the most interesting, having the cannon sideways. Most devs would put the cannon in front. After I got the mechanics I killed the flagship in my second run. The only thing I'm sad is not having a health bar to see how many hits I can get before I'll get destroy.
Graphics are amazing, good audio. Good job guys!
That's a cool idea! The starting might be a little bit abrupt, but I do enjoy the physical effect of the water!
This is cute! I like the water, the boat sailing feels really nice and the shooting is very intuitive. Nice that everything had sound effects too, theres not too much there but its all nicely polished, good job ^^
Very cool fleshed out experience, graphics look good too. đ
Really impressive and polished game! Great atmosphere, rich in variety, and still intuitive to play. The rough shaking sea was amazing. One-sided cannons were unique and made the gameplay more interesting. At some point I got a speed upgrade, but I was not sure where it came from. I actively tried to find more, but what looked like upgrades was just junk I crashed into. I'm happy there were regular savepoints. It was sometimes a bit difficult to dodge, and my ship felt a bit underpowered. A few upgrades (cannons/speed/range/turn rate) would be nice. Or some old-tech upgrades: Telescope->see enemy health. Sextant->more precise and longer shots. Bitumen -> slowly repair.
Yeah it's a very polished entry, cool graphics, nice atmospheric music, smooth inputs. I played many times and I was not able to figure where upgrades comes from, sometime I just get a message "25% faster". More than once took a mine for an upgrade =D
The moonlit, stormy sea creates a fantastic atmosphere, and steering while lining up the side-mounted cannon makes every fight engaging. It feels polished and satisfying, clearer damage and upgrade cues, plus a little more camera freedom, would make it even better!
Very cool idea and nicely polished execution. I was missing a way to adjust the cannon angle or even an autofire power up. All in all you captured the mood very well!
Great job, your game is amazing! I loved playing it, super cool
I loved the theme usage! Also made a game with a Lighthouse in a previous LD xD
Sin tĂtulo.jpg I thought the sea was very well executed, especially the effect of the waves on the ship. It felt a bit strange to have only one cannon that always points in the same direction, but itâs certainly different from what you usually see in pirate games. I also assumed that some of the objects floating in the sea were upgrades, extra lives, or energy, but it turned out they actually damaged me jajaja! Considering the short time frame of the game jam, this is a great piece of work! well done! xD
Great graphics and physics! I find it difficult to shoot from the right, and did not complete the game, but it was a wonderful experience.
The gameplay is very fun! Just the right balance of things to juggle/consider.
Great mood! I enjoyed this thoroughly.
I wish the arena was a little bigger. The red zone was pretty close the the action area on one side of the lighthouse.
Visuals are great, waves feel real and with rain makes a tense fight mood. Like the part where the cannons are only one the right, great way to take enemies by surprise. Sound is repetitive and i miss some boom from the cannons.
Great overall and good job
Very pretty and atmospheric. I know someone must have put a lot of effort into making the water/waves. The broadside shooting is a small detail that makes it still feel unique relative to other shooting games. Seems like there wasn't a ton of variety, but that's reasonable for a jam game.
Well executed sea combat game! Visuals are nice and gameplay feels good

This was so cool, brought me back to Battletanx era but on the water. Go the extra mile with this one in my opinion, great job! Love how you nailed the theme as well. Maybe I didn't encounter it, but I do wish there was a way to flip the canon to the other side of the boat for when you're near the border
very impressed with how much you packed into such a short time, well done!
Screenshot_20261020_234617.png I'm not gonna lie I almost quit lol Super fun game! congrats!
Nice entry! Nothing to add to what other people have said. Good work! Played to the end Sprite-0002.png
Gimme a gun on the port side of the bloody boat and I will never die!
What a great game! And the mood and atmosphere were meticulous.
This was fun to play, although the mouse wasn't fully locked to the game window (Linux/Firefox w/ adblock) so I couldn't turn the camera other than with E. Ever since Sid Meier's Pirates! I've been a pirate game addict though, thanks for scratching that itch a little :P
Really clean and simple game!! I had a nice time playing, visuals were great, controls felt good,, if anything, I just wanted more content? Amazing work!
Very well executed game. I love the fluid steering and shooting mechanics. I guess I'm just a noob, but I kept dying haha. The graphics and overall atmosphere was one of the best I've seen this LD! :) well done guys
the stormy sea, the lighthouse and the little lit sailboat look gorgeous, and steering while keeping enemies in the cannon cone is a neat twist on naval combat. i like that clearing a wave repairs your hull, it keeps the run moving. a few people mentioned the camera not panning left and rocks killing you instantly, which sounds rough. did you try a wider camera or is the tight view part of the tension?
Neat game. I like your take on the "old tech" theme. I did get a little seasick playing :-) I like the graphics and sounds. Well done!!
Nice game! I really like the art and gameplay loop! Maybe I lack a bit of progression, but it's fine. Additional + for tutorial!
A really fun game; I had a great time sailing around the lighthouse and sinking enemy ships.
Great game! Took 3 tries for me to complete it. It has a good level of difficulty not too much or too little just right. I love the setting it really encapsulates the old ship battle vibe.
Cool graphics. If you can make the waves more random, it will look better. The game is very great. I sank several enemy ships and was defeated on wave 4/5.
clean gameplay, not even read tutorial to understand lol great prototype for an incremental game, some upgrades, progression and a full game will appear :v
Nice game, really had fun while playing it. My friends actually made very similar game in 2D for a different game jam before. Would be nice if you provided windows build too, on my machine the WebGL had like 3 frames so i died a lot of times but managed to finish after few tries. It would be really nice if the player able to upgrade the ship somehow or by having one cannon on each side and having to switch between them. Very nice entry, Good job! (PS. We would be grateful if you played our game, as it has really great reviews as well, but not enough of them to even qualify. TY)
Amazing atmosphere! đđ The moonlit sea, the pirate battles, and the music all come together so well. It really makes you feel like you're in the middle of a pirate adventure! I love the overall vibe of this game. It looks and feels so cool. Great job, team! đ´ââ ď¸
A really good game, fun to play, with a great atmosphere. Perfect for fans of piracy đ
I opened the source code in Godot. The project is built entirely with scripts, without any Node3D, etc. Only the AI is capable of working in Godot without creating nodes. So the AI was more than just âused to help with writing codeâ; it generated 100% of the code.
Sorry, I won't be voting for your game.
