Nice visuals, I like it!
Thank you
The game is cute, however I still don't understand the purpose of the commputer. Overall it's a beautiful experience in term of artwork but i don't see where the fun could be sry ^^'
Nice visuals. It does lack a bit of challenge, though, and I really wanted to look at the computer, but there's nothing on it. Also, I didn't hear a single "meow!" It's just begging for one =)
nice
I’ll think about adding some meowing.
silly game let the world BAM i really like the visuals!
The graphics are great but there a little too few things to do, at first i was thinking that i needed to see on the computer where will i need to put the components but i didn't work. If a little more interaction and sound were add it could be really great.
What a cute kitty... a fun idea, it looks pretty cool—just make sure the dog lovers don't track you down! :D By the way, you might want to tweak the hints for placing the parts; maybe add an outline or a bit of transparency. Otherwise, everything looks and works quite well.
I really like the idea of playing as a cat. But the game currently lacks some polishing. The setting is very interesting, though: the cold war between cats and dogs is quite amusing.
Such a unique style, playing as a cat is really cool! It would be great if there were a few more gameplay options, and we’d love it if you could review our game, thanks a lot~
Art style is GOATED , good game! nice job
good game
The visual is incredible!
Thank you everyone, I’ll upload the web build soon.
What a bad kitty haha, incredible art!! and impressive concept
Nice graphics ! Also loved the lore, simple but efficiency ! Good job
impressive work for that amount of time!
Приятный и красивый визуал, все механики работают. Превосходная работа за такой короткий срок!
The art style and audio work really well together, creates a great atmosphere. Super impressive what you managed to pull off within the jam deadline!
I had fun with this! I liked that the parts were floaty when carried and I enjoyed finding where each of them went. I didn't know what the computer was for though? Also, on my PC, the hand of the cat is severed and floating, but I see in screenshots above that it fits the frame. Just one to note! :D Great job.
It have a mood, but there its much in it. What is the use of the computer ? Where is my explosion when i finish the bomb ? It look really good but it's not finish. And i can't stop thinking that the cat constantly give it's heart to the peoples.Cat1.pngCat2.png
I couldn't complete the game: I attached all the objects from the floor to the bomb but nothing changed. Also, I couldn't figure out what to do with the computer.
The game runs well and the environment looks good, but I found the game lacking in terms of gameplay. There are very few interactable objects and these interactions aren't that fun.
Nice little game, though it feels a bit incomplete. Controls were easy to grasp, and I liked the artstyle. Some more sounds would be nice, and a big explosion once you'd finished building the bomb would be very satisfying. Initial mouselook was extremely quick, though -- I had to turn my mouse sensitivity down to make it more playable.
Begins of a really fun game here: well done.
Nice game, but yeah, I agree with others. The goal is unclear and almost nothing happens :( The visuals are great tho!
The concept of a kitten assembling an atomic bomb to take out dogs is absolutely hilarious and brilliant! I’m currently on Linux and haven’t set up my Windows compatibility layers yet, so unfortunately, I couldn't run the .exe build directly. However, I just had to stop by because the screenshots look phenomenal! The visual style is top-notch — I love the cozy voxel 3D room with the old CRT monitor on the desk, and contrasting it with a hand-drawn 2D cat paw as the player perspective is pure genius. It gives the game so much indie charm and humor. Left high ratings based on your awesome presentation, art direction, and stellar theme interpretation! Thank you so much for playing and rating my game, I really appreciate your support. Best of luck to the whole team! 🐱💣💥
fun! I couldn't figure out what the computer is for. I did like the little minigame, would've loved to see more variants of that!
nice visuals bud! though i felt the lack of audio. some meows when taking items would be great:> but really great build for 72 hours!
@lastyw Thx u ;3 the build was put together in 12 hours due to technical issues :3
Cool visuals but need more audio or ambient and some mechanics for computer
I would love to try but, unfortunately, no Linux build :(
The QTE gameplay only have Russian hint, spend 3 seconds to figure out I need to press Space. Nice visual, nice mood, fit the theme, but not too funny
Thank you all so much for playing Meow Bomb! and for the amazing feedback and ratings so far!
Quick update: I’ve assembled an alternative updated build with several quality-of-life improvements, bugfixes, and the fully working PC/mechanics: Download the updated build here: https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper (The original jam version is still available via the main link above for official LD rating comparisons).
The charming art style and the absurd idea of a kitten building an atom bomb give this game loads of personality. I wanted clearer goals and more to interact with, especially on the computer, but there’s a fun concept here with plenty of room to grow!
Viby game, liked the assembling part tho i was pretty fast, great work
Really love the art style and the idea of playing as a cat building an atomic bomb is hilarious! The atmosphere is great, and the contrast between the cute visuals and the absurd concept works really well. I just wish there were a few more interactions and a clearer purpose for the computer, as the gameplay feels a little limited at the moment. Still, a really creative idea with lots of potential. Great job!
Мне нравитиься, прикольная идея с котом
If there are more people, can we add a "troublemaker" to help you defuse the bomb?
Graphics look nice, maybe make the controls in english and not half russian lol. Sadly there was no Explosion
Nice game! The concept is fun, but I feel like it could use a bit more challenge to keep things interesting! Maybe some extra obstacles or increasing difficulty as you progress?
Also, we definitely need a big, satisfying explosion at the end! Come on, it's a bomb after all!
Overall, a fun little game with some nice potential. Great job!
I like the visuals a lot. Big fan of pixelated 3D. The game is simple yet we want to do a better time so we play again. Good job !
I loved the visuals of the game, looks really interesting and promising. Liked the gameplay too
Great job, your game is amazing! I loved playing it, super cool
I like the atmosphere and graphics in your game
l wait build from naiper❤️
A pretty simple game, but it needs more challenges, it is currently very easy, the art style is nice.
I really liked the concept, the visual style, and how the physics of the objects in the game work. Oh, and I found one bug. When I was trying to insert one of the objects into the bomb, I pressed button at the wrong time, and the object popped up onto the bomb, and I couldn’t get it out... :(
Mouse sensitivity was too high, and I could not find how to adjust it.
Not sure what the purpose it, but the visuals look great.
An interesting concept and excellent graphics. I would like to see more variety; the bomb-assembly process could be made more engaging. A timer would also be a good addition—it would increase the game's difficulty.
and there’s no melody playing in the background
Good visuals, but zero gameplay or sound sadly.
Really cool art concept
cool art, could use some gameplay
art is really cool and the idea as well but needs lots of gameplay i think. i was really confused at the end.
Ho nooo, I want to play this game... Do you plan a webGL version ?
I'd like to play this game once a webGL version is made :>
@loiclegrosfrere hi, ye we want this but later
At the moment, we have a web build — a preliminary release with a working PC and meowing! If you want to play, you can give it a try. https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper
yo
Neat concept. Was initially confused on where the components should be placed as it looked like they were already connected, some sort of transparency on the placement spots would help a lot. Also, different minigames for the different component types would be nice.
Its a very nice game! thank you for uploading this!
Exellent art style! Cats are the key to success!
Pretty cool. I liked the interaction system. Would be better if there were hints about were to place a thing instead of just showing the placement. And at the end I was waiting for a big explosion or something like that :D
I downloaded the zip on linux (I was going to play with WINE) and all the folder paths are built into the filenames, rather than the files being in folders. I think that might be an issue on your end (corrupted zip?). I've never seen this before Screenshot_20261021_071754.png
Cute! I found the mouse sensitivity pretty high though. Also it seems like the framerate is uncapped by default? It made my poor graphics card squeal like a smacked pig.
I love the art style—it has a colorful, psychedelic cat vibe! I spent ages figuring out how to attach all the parts to the nuke. I thought it would launch and cause a massive explosion, but instead I got sent straight back to the main menu! XD
@nephem Hi! thx u for your comment!!!
Yes, we already had a rendered explosion, but we didn't have time to add it to the game on time((
if u want watch to see this : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mFaZM-83e2FE3AWd3QdM7gCODbeeZ26E?usp=drive_link drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mFaZM-83e2FE3AWd3QdM7gCODbeeZ26E?usp=drive_link
(For some reason, there’s no other way to provide the link—add it to the beginning https:// )
The art looks fantastic, and I love the idea of a cat building an atomic bomb! I just also wish there was a bit more to do. It felt like it could be a bigger game after all.
I had fun doing the little mini games though it would have been nice to have an outline for where each piece should go to differentiate from the ones I already added. Also, there was some confusion of what to press for a sec before I found out it was space for the minigame. I also liked the art style it was fitting, and the theme was spot on, I do wish there was more to do but nice work nonetheless!
Colors are confusing, cool game
The visuals were nice but I didn't find the gameplay particularly enjoyable? I don't know if I was doing something wrong but it felt just like walking back and forth between the bomb and the worktable doing trial and error for the parts fitting in. The minigames also felt a bit poorly balanced.
I'm also really curious about what loop you enjoyed in my game! considering its narrative and doesn't have a loop? I'd really like to know what part of the "loop" made you leave full 5 stars :)
Cool mood, and idea, graphics are fun.
Mouse sensitivity is really high, and the settings page is a place holder.
I manage to put all the pieces in Jam version, and then ? 😃
It looks you miss some time to finish !
I also run the post jam version to see if there was something in the computer. Colors are bugging me on wheither I have the right piece or not. And I couldnt put more than one piece. It needs more time
That was fun! A little bit struggle with color name and the actual color of the detail, I think they are different, but probably that's my monitor. 100% related to actual job of sorting this detail. Love it!
a working cat building an atom bomb to wipe out the dogs is exactly the kind of nonsense i want from a jam game. the art is adorable and the little animations sell it. i did see a few people say they wanted more to do and a meow or two, and honestly a cat game without a meow is a crime. still, it's a very charming little thing. was the computer supposed to do something or was it just set dressing?
I had a lot of fun playing as a Soviet cat assembling the Zar Bomb jajaja! The combination of 3D and pixel-art textures was brilliant and very well executed. Great work on the sound and effects, too, it’s a fantastic game! Congratulations! xD
I saw your comment on our game Frumpkin: Lock n' Splode you guys did an awesome job, I love the visuals!
Looks nice. BTW, the link back to the ldjam page on https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper is broken. It shows the right link, but when I click it, I get a different 404 page.
amazing visuals and love the concept!
The art is reaaaally good ! The game is a bit short though, and once I completed the bomb the fact that I was back at the menu without a little reward was a bit sad ^^'
Thanks everyone for playing and sharing your thoughts! ❤️
@romgerman — Thanks! We'll think about adding hints for the parts, and we definitely want to add a proper explosion/ending.
@lone-wolf — Thanks for the report on the Linux zip paths, we’ll look into how it was archived!
@nondev — Thanks for the feedback! We'll think about adding a framerate cap and mouse sensitivity settings.
@nephem — Thank you! Glad you liked the art style, we'll think about making a better reward screen at the end!
@skigfx — Thanks a lot! We'll definitely think about expanding the game with more things to do.
@ty-victorson — Thanks for playing! We'll think about adding outlines and clearer button prompts for the minigames.
@thanatosisanoob — Thanks for the honest critique! We'll definitely take the pacing and minigame balance into account.
@yourykiki — Thanks for testing both versions! We'll keep working on the mouse sensitivity and color clarity.
@pazio-di-dante — Thanks a lot, glad you had fun with the sorting!
@grateful-tomato — Huge thanks for catching the broken link on the itch page, we'll get that fixed!
@perrarancino — Thanks! A dedicated meow button is a great idea, we'll definitely think about adding one!
@emaigualmc2-art — Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed the Soviet cat vibe and the 3D pixel art!
@braeden — Thanks Braeden! Glad you liked the visuals!
@nyla-j — Thank you so much for the kind words!
@remink — Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely think about adding a proper victory screen instead of cutting to the menu.
Nice Vibe and nice interpretation of low tech!
little low on content, and I would have liked to at least see my final time when I win :)
I really liked the visuals and the physics of the game objects. It is a pity that when you assemble the rocket it just puts you in the main menu. It would be nice to have something at the end. But apart from that, nice game!
i like how he just ignored the 2nd part of my message entirely
I feel like russian translation is quite broken(there is no text in settings) and also I couldn't find setting to change sensetivity of my mouse. But overal the idea is pretty simple and fun, wish you would expand it and make more props for different parts of the bomb.
I really liked the visual design! Lovely work!)
Played both jam and post jam versions of the game. I really liked it, especially the post jam one, you did really good work! :3
cool and funny idea ^^
*meow*
