404 can't find the game in itch

vinnnie 2026-10-19 22:40 ♥ 1

Super chill, cool sprites, nice sound effects. Couldn't find where to go after I'd mined the rock :/

darwyn 2026-10-19 22:41 ♥ 1

Really nice and fun little game! Loved the lighting effects. Also pleasantly surprised by the reveal at the end of why you’re doing all this, nice change to not get it shoved in your face right at the start. Good job!

ludumdaredevil 2026-10-19 22:42 ♥ 1

The graphics are pretty cool and I love the ending. The water sound effect is very loud though. Also it's a bit weird that you aren't able to pick up some of the gears.

Cool pixel art. I have completed the game.

zabrat 2026-10-19 22:44 ♥ 1

I really liked how the pixel-art lighting was done. At first, I was a bit confused—I actually managed to get lost in this small area—but I made it through quickly. The controls feel good; it has a classic style and fits the jam’s theme perfectly.

kumber 2026-10-19 22:56 ♥ 0

@vinnnie did you take the gear hidden behind the rocks?

Thank you for playing :)

kumber 2026-10-19 22:56 ♥ 0

@darwyn thank you for playing :)

kumber 2026-10-19 22:58 ♥ 1

@ludumdaredevil It sure will need some equalization for sounds in the post-jam version... Thank you for playing :)

@segtree Thank you for playing :)

Aww the ending was so cute! I thought it was a fun little metroidvania-lite, although I did get somewhat lost to the right at first, because I started jumping around at random in the dark and couldn't find my way back to the door 😅

The only real feedback that I have is that the sound effects were mixed quite loud, but I saw you're aware of that already! It wasn't a problem, I just turned the volume down :)

Overall, well done!

@koolruz I went back multiple times to refine the layout of the dark room to avoid having players to remain stuck there, I'm relieved you managed to go back 🤣 Also yes the sounds, unfortunately I added them at the end and had little time to refine them. Thank you for playing!

Had a little "aha" moment like with that OG darks souls elevator when went out of the left part back to the center (good backtracking in other words) :) Nice job!

kumber 2026-10-20 00:10 ♥ 1

@wakanake I'm glad you liked that part... Thank you for playing :)

perrarancino 2026-10-20 12:03 ♥ 1

this is a really chill little mining and repair game, the hand drawn sprites have a lot of character and the sound effects fit perfectly. i like that the machine is buried and you have to dig around to find what it needs, it makes the repair feel like a proper little archaeology project. the hidden gear behind the rocks was a nice touch too. did you draw everything in aseprite during the jam? nice work.

kumber 2026-10-20 19:20 ♥ 0

@perrarancino yes, everything from scratch with aseprite. Thank you for playing :)

🎵 All the ducks are swimming in the water 🎶 😄

Very nice short game and I'm glad got to make friends with a duck.

sneha 2026-10-22 05:15 ♥ 0

I played it! I loved the ending and the lighting in the dark area and the little sound effects too. I was a bit lost at first about what to do but it was fun to figure it out. The game felt complete! 😄

rogual 2026-10-23 09:29 ♥ 0

I like this!

Short and sweet, charming art, and as others have said, great ending. Many other devs, perhaps including myself, would have put up a "Do the thing to fill the duck pond!!!" screen at the start, totally ruining it. I applaud your restraint! It's so much better this way.

The whole game is kind of naive and unassuming and I dig it.

Looks and feels awesome! Great game!

vandervas-generator 2026-10-25 21:35 ♥ 0

Super cool little game! I love the loops you set up as you explore the machine, and the ending was super sweet. It's the perfect length for a little weekend jam!

@iurabtw Thank you for playing :)

@vandervas-generator Glad you liked the game overall! Thank you for playing :)

alex-mulkerrin 2026-10-27 19:34 ♥ 1

The art is really nice with cool effects for light hitting your character and the gears turning. I did go right at first like many other people but got back on track. The ending sequence was cute. Good emergent narrative in a bite sized game.

kumber 2026-10-28 12:42 ♥ 0

@alex-mulkerrin I spent too much time on the light effects and too little on the level design and it shows 😄 Thank you for playing :)

stratcat66 2026-10-28 19:59 ♥ 0

Nice looking main character, and I noticed the lighting effects on it. And you did a fantastic job with the cute end scene!
