Really cool entry! I played through it and had a great time. Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts: • Gameplay & Design: The core mechanics feel solid and intuitive right from the start. The gameplay loop is engaging, and the controls feel responsive and fair. • Visuals & Art Style: The visual direction fits the overall mood really well. Everything looks cohesive, and the presentation makes it very clean to follow what's happening on screen. • Audio: The sound effects and audio design add a lot of punch to the experience and help build the atmosphere. • Theme Interpretation: You did a fantastic job incorporating the jam's theme into the core loop in a creative and clever way! Constructive Polish Idea: If you decide to update or expand this after the jam, adding a few extra feedback cues (like juice/particles or subtle screen shake) or expanding on a few mechanics could make it feel even more polished! Overall, awesome job for a jam project! Left you a high score/rating. Keep up the great work! 🚀

The buttons are barely responsive, and there’s not much gameplay. Overall, it’s an interesting concept for a game jam.

tenthousandfireants 2026-10-19 22:37 ♥ 1

Interesting concept, but I struggled with the controls and figuring out what to do exactly in the beginning. Nice graphics and sound too! You've got potential!

segtree 2026-10-19 22:39 ♥ 1

Tips: you can't control the computer unless you pressed E. You need to first select the notes at the bottom and then tap the score to place them. After you placed them, you can tap the "play" button to listen to it.

@maxxxmax I have updated the introductions. I wrote how-tos in it.

Haha, ok, this is very strange and interesting. I think you were the one who said they were into Vocaloid; and I can see that 😂. Tbh, I was very confused when I first started playing, but figured it out eventually. Once I did, I had a lot of trouble with my note length and being unable to remove incorrect notes. I didn't realize the note length was a toggle. So some kind of visual indicator and a way to delete notes would be really helpful. LOL also, when I finally finished my first song, it said I ran out of time!!! How fast am I supposed to do this???? LOL the first song should be easy, when the player is trying to figure everything out!

That said, there's some cool audio idea going on. I'd love to see again where it's a bit easier to play! Nice job!

segtree 2026-10-20 00:48 ♥ 0

@serendibity-efreet you can use right click to remove notes. sorry i forgot to mention it in the introduction.

@segtree Ohhhh! Thank you!

The game has an interesting concept! At first, I found the controls a bit difficult to get used to, and I wasn’t entirely sure what I was supposed to do. However, overall, I had a good experience. The graphics and sound design are great and really help bring the game to life. I can see a lot of potential in this project! Keep up the good work, and good luck with further development!

@vladfor3000 thanks!

milq 2026-10-20 09:45 ♥ 1

Well done! The 1990s desk, sticky-note orders and Windows-style Daisy Bell editor are wonderfully atmospheric. A short first-order tutorial for placing notes would ease onboarding. Congrats again!

@milq thank you :D

eklsn 2026-10-20 10:24 ♥ 1

Hehe just wait until somebody decides to make Rush E with it (of course they'd have to mod it) but it'd be insane. Good job though, nice mini-DAW!

@eklsn thanks :D

It's an impressive entry with a likeable vibes, unfortinatly the topic itself sits so far from me I could not enjoy it, but I appricate the work it must have went into making the music player work, good job! 🙂

perrarancino 2026-10-20 11:37 ♥ 1

the daisy bell connection is such a lovely idea for a game about old tech, and the 8-bit version of the song fits perfectly. i loved the little village and the made up language, it made the whole thing feel like a lost 90s cd-rom. how did you make the vocal synth sound, is it sampled or generated? and thanks for the tips in the comments, they helped a lot.

segtree 2026-10-20 11:39 ♥ 0

@freamdev thank you! :D

segtree 2026-10-20 11:41 ♥ 1

@perrarancino the music is made by script. I used ai to write a python script, which created a midi file and then used it to make an mp3 file.

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff

@ao-85 thank you! :D

eugenik 2026-10-20 23:44 ♥ 1

The way you tied the game's inspiration back to that original 1961 computer song is really clever. Blending the historical IBM reference with the specific 8-bit BGM gives the whole simulation a really unique retro charm. Well done on this project!

@eugenik thanks :D

huntred 2026-10-21 09:16 ♥ 1

Cool idea! I really like it as it's challenging in its own way but still fast to grasp. And it fits the theme so incredibly well, so - chapeau!

segtree 2026-10-21 09:25 ♥ 1

@huntred thank you! :D

harujam 2026-10-23 12:01 ♥ 1

The game brought me back 35 something years to our first 386 pc with pc speaker being the only audio interface...good times :´)

@harujam thanks! :D

rend 2026-10-24 12:47 ♥ 0

That's an original idea, I learned something with your game. For some reason it reminded me of old Amiga games (like Mortville Manor) with speech synthesis, that's some sweet memories... I guess the UI/UX of your game could be improved a bit but it's already a well rounded experience, congrats!

segtree 2026-10-25 08:44 ♥ 0

@rend thanks for your advice!

jawdan 2026-10-28 02:32 ♥ 0

Nice approach to the theme but unfortunately the entire game feels incredibly unresponsive
