I like the game aesthetics, and how the enemy connect itself with other parts. Especially the inner circle with the main armor, connecting seamleesly through the line.

I like the game aesthetics, and how the enemy connect itself with other parts. Especially the inner circle with the main armor, connecting seamleesly through the line.
Nice approach to the theme. It took me sometime to get past the initial screen though.
Interesting use of jump as the unique element.
My game is kinda also about jumping only once, but I added a rythm aspect that is the challenge before jumping.
At the end I found the 3 guys I was suppose to talk, but besides the exploration I don't really know if I was suppose to interact with other objects, it seemed it lack a little bit of gameplay. But I loved to explore the map with the bike and I liked the mistery created by the music, too.
I just did't get what the mistery was about, since the dialogues wasn't clear enough.
I bet it was a huge amount of work to do everything you did from scratch. Congratulations.
Very nice art and animation, but I didn't get the link with the theme.
btw, is it possible to use the items you get somehow?
The concept is fun, but randomizing the level would be very dangerous if it was for a game on real market.
The game is entertaining.
As a first time player, I missed a feedback for not being able to throw the ball sometimes.
Interesting concept and style, however I felt that the game gets easier at the end because of the number of particles, I mean, it seems the progression is inverted. At first I even thought that I would need to avoid the particles instead of make them collide with the cubes.
Hey Man, nice job on creating the house and the enviroment.
The game itself lacks a clear objective though, at least I didn't get it.
The ghost scared me the first time, but then it was just messing up with my exploration.
Anyway, nice job on completing it.
Great art style!
The controls are hard, and jumping feels a little bit weird.
On level two it would be nice to have a lower platform so player can start again without hitting 'R', when he fall down.
I liked the idea. It took sometime for me to get the spirit of it, but then I had some fun. But the game is very easy, if you add more stress, the game could be much more fun.
Pretty neat game, and the graphics are awesome, especially considering that you made it within the 48h + gamecode.
It was very nice to see how you got the music get more dramatic mixing it with a piece of LoTR OST.
As you pointed out, the theme wasn't really in place. But I had some fun crashing my cart around the supermarket.
Congratulations.
The graphics and music are impressive, and the game itself is nice. I only wish we could disable the initial tutorial boxes.
Solid impldemented core mechanic. The game is fun, the aesthetics are nice and I loved the level design. Well done!
How can I move my units through the map?
Tried to point and click, wasd, arrow keys, nothing worked. Also alt + Q didn't work so perhaps the game is having a problem to recognize my keyboard.
That's very unfortunate oskar, your concept seems very compelling. I wish I could play it.
I liked the game, it could see a little bit of light from the real world if you take some time to polish the game.
Right now, there are some things that feels weird, like not being able to retry only the current level.
I loled about the idea of having just one bullet. Also the yoyo mechanic was very nice implemented. Congratulations.
I took me sometime to get understanding how to play it, but then I saw what you wanted to do. If you add more demon choices and problems to solve, this could be a nice strategic game.
The core mechanic is really good, the game is fun, addictive and has a nice flow. I'd would suggest keeping track of a best record and also bonus for aerial combos.
The game is nice and it requires interesting choices.
Hey Masadow, Im just passing by to say that I really appreciated your feedback on my game. Thank you very much!
And wow, 45 hits!!! Im glad you enjoyed it.
Masadow, that would be nice. Do you have twitter?
Perhaps you might like to play an alpha version of my upcoming game. It's not on the same style, but it would be nice to listen what would you say about it :)
Very interesting game, I felt it was very easy, but I had fun anyway. Also I liked the aesthetics and how the permanence of some effects affects the visual style of the hill.
Nice Ref! I liked the graphic style, I loved the choppa shadow at the end, the difficult was nice too(not very hard, not very easy). It seems the collision was a little bit weird. Sometimes I felt I was stuck and it was a little bit weird since I had nothing clear blocking me.
Challenging game!
Nice usage of rythm aspects. I've also used rythm with arrow keys on my game entry.
I liked the way you created the upgrading choice. I missed a way to compare my current equipment with the one I'm about to choose, though.
I also felt that choosing "+1 live" is a generally better than others powerups, which make the choice a little bit unbalanced.
In overall the game is pretty neat, and the music fits the ambient nicely.
Nice idea :)
I loved the graphics, the 2d red lights gave a really nice aspect for the game.
the gameplay idea is something nice to explore too. I would say that you should go deeper with it. One thing that I didn't like it's that the game gets hard because it's too dark and you can't really see the way you're suppose to get.
The game is fun and the controls are nice. Casual enough to be appealing for smartphone market, specially if you work with accelerometer. Nice job!
btw, where were you stuck at my game? at the first platform? or at the quick time event?
The game is fun, the shooting buttons could be on arrow keys, as in bind of isaac, so the hands get a more confortable positions. The graphics are awesome. Congratulations.
I missed some more dynamic enemies, but the game is nice considering the overall. Audio and Graphics were great!
I like the concept, though I felt it was too slow. The level design is very cool, especially for the first two levels.
Well done!
The game is great! I made a panic of 1420% LOL.
I loved the game concept and the way it connects with the theme. Nice pixel art too.
Congratulations.
Interesting theme approach. Roguelikes ftw!
It's crashing on my mac. I've played other ld games made with java today, though.
I really loved the concept idea. If more polished could be an awesome game. I would suggest you to create a higher notion of urgency to avoid player going just for the easy kills and force him to put himself in danger more times. By a urgency, I mean, something like the number of aliens that escape could bring failure, or you could create a score based on time, for instance.
The collisions between player and platform are a little bit awkward, but that doesn't make the game less fun. Nice job!
Nice experience. Very tense atmosphere. I loled at the end, though, in the good way. Funny.
Nice graphics!
Nice usage of the theme!
I sucked at it, hehehe. But I got the idea, and it's nice. I think it could be nicer to have a bigger fov for the camera, so we can see more of the screen and therefore of the egg when it is flying. Most of reasons why it's so difficult is because you can really see the egg, and handling the acceleration it's already a fine mechanic to keep the game fun.
Repeating the first level always was quite frustrating.
Also, I noticed that the arrow collider sometimes picked me when I felt certain that it wouldn't.
Interesting puzzle and level design. You could add some more game elements to make the game richer. It could also have a pinball aspect. It would be nice to see it on my smartphone.
I couldn't play it, It's missing a dll (MSVCR110). Perhaps I should have visual studio installed, but it should be an way to have the dll inside the game folder.
Through the video the game seems nice tough.
Hey, now I've played(and rated) and can say that the game is potentially fun. The bouncing on the "walls" was a little bit weird though, but the difficult was well balanced and could be easily transformed on a mobile game that is played with the accelerometer.
The c++ implementation might have some problems though. It was consuming a lot of CPU and it reached 215mb or ram consumption.
I would also suggest(if you plan to go ahead with the game) to add other features, like handling wind and adding a landing mechanic.
This game is great. I like the aesthetics and the atmosphere really gives you the feeling of blindness and fear. Congrats!
Nice acomplishment. Didn't get the connection with the theme though.
At first I thought that when it ends that the game has crashed, then, reading the comments I understood that the game had finished.
The graphics are charming.
OMG, the game's mood is amazing. I'm glad that I was patience enouhh to let the game start, because at first I was very confused.
Awesome job, man
One of the nicest, well polished games I've played on this ludum dare so far. The graphics are charming, the level design are awesome and the controls are very solid. I loved the mechanic of jumping on the side(almost like grabbing) of a platform to save you from falling. Congratulations, sir!
oh, only thing I was annoyed was the repetitive music when I was retrying the level. But nothing to worry about really.
This is the best game I've seen so far, You did an amazing job. The game concept is very funny, and I loled on the dialogues between the commander and player.
Congrats.
hey rnlf, afaik, to run the linux build you can use "file /path/to/the/file.x86" but that build was generated by unity, and I don't have a linux installed to test it
You can try my game through the web link, though.
I hope you like.
Thanks man, I appreciate your effort in playing it.
I couldn't figure it out either, lol, but I had fun anyway. Nice job!
Nice idea and the aesthetics are cool, but I felt that the difficult of the game is based most on hard controls than on the maze itself.
Nice shump. The graphics and music are very good, but I missed some sound fx. For the next time, if you're lacking them, try using http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html
I used it for some of mine sounds.
You are right @Tonasz, it should be more lenient to allow every user to reach a minimum acceptable score.
Btw, how many hits did you get?
@rnlf and others linux users, would you mind trying the web version in case the linux build is not working? I don't have a linux machine to test the build.
Yeah, I'll try to find out how to run the linux build. Thanks rnlf!
Wow, very nice core mechanic. Loved the idea.
Interesting level design and theme usage.
I liked the game, I had some fun and I appreciate the level design, it was pretty good. The jumping control on other hand, doesn't feel very nice, especially when double jumping.
Btw, I loled at the mouse sprite.
Great job on finishing this.
With some sound effects it could have been even cooler.
p.s.:Playing fps with just keyboard is hard as hell, I did't remember that, lol.
Hey man, I saw your comment on Onion's only chance, you have to press the button when it becomes white, if you want to try it again, try watching the circles and the button becoming white, it won't punish you if you don't press it (that's kind of a cheat, an therefore it's not clear to the player.), it will punish you only if you press it wrongly.
I should have made the game a little bit easier and accessible to everyone.
Thanks for playing it!
I liked the idea of haunting for fun, at least that's the mood built up with the happy music.
The graphics are very nice too.
p.s.: I just don't get it why do I need a key to open doors since I'm a ghost and could walk through it, hehehe. Just kidding, man. Nice job!
Hey man,
the zip for MacOSX seems to be corrupt. I downloaded it two times, both won't work. When you fix it, please let me know, I'd like to play your game.
Very original game, but I didn't really get how it links with the theme.
Anyway, I loved the art and gameplay with the mouse point and scroll, very fun.
Very original and innovative game, but it connects very loosely with the theme. The connection comes only through the name, but the gameplay itself hasn't much connection with it.

Nice job! The core mechanic is very solid, making the game accessible to everyone and providing a lot of fun.
The graphics are pretty neat, and the gameplay is cool. It would be nice to have cookies over the scenario that could be picked by both elves and santa. That would change the game a little bit but it would reforce a sense of urgency, to keep the player concentrated on the game. Nice entry. Did you made the graphics yourself?
The voice acting was great, I loved it. I had more fun hearing the player than playing the game itself though.
The mood was very nice, but I missed some hints on how to solve the puzzles and sometimes the imnement danger appeared too quickly, without me even noticing it. I liked the idea of letting the tomb as a flag for where you died, though. Because, first, you know there's a danger there and take more careful, and second, because the player can use that to create a map for himself, using the tombs as map references.
Nice Job!
The idea is interesting, and the audio e draws were nice.
But the jumping was weird, although I suspect that you wanted to have a surreal jump like that, soh that's fine.
