Apr 20 10:40:21 Herd behaviour ♥ 1 Honestly I thought those were robot units at first xD But after rereading the description I like to think these are friends LEAVING the bar, that really fits well :) I like how this is a puzzle game, it really has the potential to be something challenging! I feel like it's an unusual approach to this kind of puzzle, pretty interesting. On the topic of scene transition, did you use this command? get_tree().change_scene_to_file("res://scenes/finale.tscn") (Where "finale" is the name of the scene) It works very well for me. I had one instance where I couldn't transition and it was because of the mistake in the scene I was transitioning to (so the game was crashing). Also the issue might be in the requirements for the transition - are you sure they were met? Using print("") command really helped me in the proccess to figure out if things are happening or not, if "points" are adding up or not, etc! *Also, you probably know this already, but you can build for HTML in Godot, if you make sure to name the html file "index" - it's really good to put a web version on itch, so more people will play it!
Apr 20 11:00:23 20m 02s Suit Yourself ♥ 1 This is actually rather satisfying, I wouldn't expect such enjoyable and polished game in just 12 hours! It feels good to make combinations, and time limit gives more incentive to play and try several times. The melody is nice and simple, though I can imagine it can get tiring with time just like most simple melodies. I think the most important thing is that it is satisfying to make combos (the sound, how they disappear, all combined)! I like how I can do just 2 of them and make combos not just in straight line but in any direction :) My best score is 00157400 so far. I swear I tried my best xD Also, my brain is still mushy after finishing up my own compo game late into the night so maybe I have misunderstood something, but sometimes matching diff colours (of same suit) works and sometimes it doesn't. I physically can't hit screenshot while selecting tiles but I've circled the examples where it did NOT work in SAI: cassowary.jpg cassowary2.jpg
Apr 20 11:32:30 32m 07s Misplaced ♥ 2 All your games are so lovely and this one is no exception ^v^ First impressions - I really like the sound effects! And intro is cute and funny. In general the dialogue is very funny! xD "Why would you do that??" - Well little signaly guy, I thought maybe I drop this down into the darkness assuming there are spikes there and then jump on top of the crate and be good xD The visual effect from the jump (waves of light) is very satisfying ^^ I really like the mechanic in general. It feels unique and cool. And the music gives me a nostalgic feeling. Like in the games I played when I was little :) Digger is what comes to mind first, I looooved that game! manabreak1.jpg This looks like a ritualistic thing to sacrifice someone or appeal to demonic entities :o I find it interesting it seems to have something like a keyhole. I wonder what is this for? Lore-wise :D Overall you have some cool lore this time, it has those horror vibes that I like (or is this just my imagination filling in the gaps? :)) Taking second crystal to the ritual tower. It made me so happy to insert it I have immediately jumped down on the closest spikes xD manabreak2.jpg noooo XD I fully expected this to loop tbh. now the poor guy is just standing silently in darkness. but this was super funny!! OK, thoughts after playing :) Sorry my review is a bit messy, I like to share my thoughts as I go! I really really like this game. I was sad it ended so soon. I was worried seeing comments about it being difficult, but it wasn't. I mean, it gave a nice challenge so it would be satisfying to overcome. But it didn't take me too many tries, just using one braincell I have was enough (also, I like that you have to use it here, it's great) and I made it to the third sacrificial tower on the first try. I feel like this has huge potential. The mechanic is interesting, the platforming part is fun and reasonably challenging, not too hard or complicated, it seems like the world has some horrific lore behind it and feels mysterious and intriguing ^^ I wonder if after lighting up all three ritual towers a sudden boss battle with a demonic being would happen xD That would certainly be a suprise!
Apr 20 11:46:26 13m 56s Blipp ♥ 1 The graphics are, of course, gorgeous! The music is so lovely too. I'll be honest, the moment with the lighthouse made me gasp as their worlds "connected" for me when I saw the light appear on "her" screen. The mechanic is really cool and fun, I loved this way to control the characters, and you took the time to draw all the poses and animations... The game may be short but it is absolutely gorgeous and I can see how much work was put into it to make it happen in one weekend! I wonder how they exchanged objects while being in different places though? Through a portal? I think it would be incredibly fun to play a full length game like this +_+
Apr 20 12:23:12 36m 46s The Lighthouse ♥ 6 My thoughts as I go ^^ I got interested in your game seeing the graphics you shared on LD page on the weekend. I am playing the downloaded version right now. The main menu is very pretty, and the sound effects are adding to the atmosphere. I love love love your art!! It's just my taste xD As is the genre. I'll be honest though, I thought "matches" was a book before I moved my mouse over them :') Your voice acting is rather nice and fits the character :) (UPD: the (infected?) guy voice over is even better!!) I don't often see jammers who also do voice overs in their games. It adds so much and for me it's a special feeling to hear the person behind the game ^^ Also, don't be shy to raise your voice when needed and put more emotion into it! (Unless people are sleeping in a room near you, I can understand then it's not possible) Received the HELP message and smiling ear to ear. This is getting juicy! Gun under the armchair? I would say that's funny but I DID immediately click on the armchair when he asked for a gun... After "I killed him" voiceline there is that line that is not voiced and has a number in front of it: line.jpg The sea creature and everything... Very lovecraftian! I wonder now if I could avoid killing the infected(?) guy and get an infected ending right then and there. The final CG is absolutely fantastic!!! WOW!!! Final thoughts: I loved my time with this game. Obviously the graphics and the atmosphere are the strongest parts. The story is not unique but I love the feel of it. You have achieved a lot in just 2 days and I feel satisfied with the gameplay and the story and how it wrapped up ^^ We need more horror themed entries like this one! +_+ (for me to play hehe)
Apr 20 15:02:17 2h 39m Fillmore's Island ♥ 2 The bunny is so cute! Graphics are lovely overall and I appreciate small details: seashells for decoration, "LD59" written on the sand. Also, I love the way instructions are presented. Inside the world, which makes it more immersive! And it's an interesting mechanic idea with the drone, imo! That's quite a big level you made in just two days, as well, playing on the same puzzle idea in different ways. You have to always remember to bring the drone with you and use both hands. That is to say, it definitely activates the brain :)
Apr 20 15:53:34 51m 17s Kuiper Space Rescue ♥ 2 I love visuals a lot, and overall atmosphere! The limited colour palette and grainy texture creates a special feeling. The music is a bop, very groovy! In terms ouf SE, though, I found the sound with which the ship moves quite grating :( The animations are great, even dying and failing the mission feels somehow satisfying due to a gorgeous animation :D It's quite hard finding your way "in the dark", so to say, but fits the theme well. Overall, the design - visuals, animations, UI - is my favourite part! <3
Apr 20 16:45:04 51m 30s I HATE PRINTERS ♥ 1 Here because of the title xD Love the visual style immediately, makes me a bit nostalgic ^^ The music is very nice also, easy to listen to for even a long period of time. And the premise is so... real :') It is pretty hard to figure out though, I admit. I have found 2 codes, but I can't understand them. 1234 with fruits - I did figure out on the third try, pretty smart puzzle. The "letters" one I can't quite grasp. It feels important they are sideways, but the 1 sideways doesn't really turn into another number, 4 neither... etc. I can't really detract 1 and 4 from 3 if - is detracting, and it doesn't give me anything anyway. Had to use a hint after all! Didn't think of that at all, I really believed them being flipped is important somehow (though to be fair there was a = between them ^^') And I clicked on everything but didn't find the 3rd code :(
Apr 20 20:53:39 4h 08m Ziggy Zapper and the Robot Factory ♥ 1 Wow, I've slowly realized how big the game actually is - so many rooms, and the doors require 12 or 13 triforce pieces... That's very impressive, how you got so much done in 2 days with all the puzzle elements! Several types of thingies, even one that reflects your signal onto other thingies! The gameplay is very intuitive, the only non-intuitive thing is using J and K but they are explicitly shown as control buttons :) And I understand it's coming from the idea of them being a bit farther from WASD for easier play with two hands. I am seeing a comment about Zelda and thinking: yes, it does feel like old Zeldas, specifically I would say it reminded me of Oracles, the one with more puzzles especially x) The visuals, the palette, the puzzles even. And then we open doors with pieces of triforce instead of keys XD Also, nice easter egg here :3 I noticed a few games today with LD59 added into the graphics of the game. It makes me want to steal the idea and do it on the next LD :') easter.jpg And this is the one I got stuck on ._. I can't release the control after I lift that block. Making the thingy go upwards is not an idea cause I can't control it through solid block. I feel like I am missing something here =\ stuck.jpg But overall it's very fun and well done, I liked the little puzzles ^v^
Apr 20 21:04:36 10m 57s -- .- -.-- -.. .- -.-- mayday ♥ 2 The concept is very interesting but I am pretty bad at this :'D My sense of rhythm and speed are just not good enough. The music is very relaxing, the beats are satisfying and I really really like the idea of the game. Just wish I was good at it xD The thing is I thought I just have to click while the text is green. But no, I have to do it exactly when beat sound plays. And I just... yeah. I wish I could explore your game more >-< I am curious if there will be a message deciphered in the end or a poem as you mention poem in the description +-+
Apr 20 21:16:24 11m 48s Out of Signal RTS ♥ 1 I really like the hauntiness of the music, there is a special feel to it that fits the game well and creates a lovely dystopian atmosphere if I can put it this way :) It does feel cozy and slow-paced, at least on the Normal difficulty. And everything looks neat and polished! You did so much in 48 hours and it feels like there was a lot of care put into the game. To be honest, this is not my genre at all, so I did feel a bit lost while figuring out what to do, what to build, how to go about it. I watched a bit of your video on YouTube though ^^ The pink enemies and their den look so cute. Their house looks like a flower bud <3 cute.jpg They are working hard in there, living their life and not touching me (so far). Can I be a peaceful nation? :D
Apr 20 21:31:39 15m 15s Winnerman Scams a Game Show ♥ 1 The description is so funny, love how it's written! xD The game itself is funny too. And the voice acting is so good!! The music is fun too ^^ It felt confusing though with the time-travel, so to say. With the frames and time moving. I did google the element for example, but finding the time to actually resubmit my answer was confusing, and I couldn't type while pausing ofc, and then the big lottery machine came and just gave me two lemons and when I scrolled back I just got them again and then again... even though I wasn't pushing the button. I don't think I am cut out to be Winnerman xD Makes me curious though how would it be to go AGAINST this Winnerman :)
Apr 20 21:41:45 10m 06s Shooting Stars in a Blocky Cosmose! ♥ 1 First thought: Oh, a nice lovely star viewing game before sleep ^v^ Minute later: chaos.jpg That got overwhelming really fast xD The idea feels quite unique to me, and the starry sky is cute (before chaos). I tried looking for particles in that square on the bottom right but that didn't help much. I relied more on the line "Detected! Look closer!" down there. I wish I looked more at the sky itself ;-; Really interesting concept tho!!
Apr 22 08:36:03 34h 54m Samband ♥ 1 I was looking forward to playing something horrory from you, remembering previous entries, and so I am really happy to see this :D I love the sound-based horror and the creepy atmosphere coming from it and the visuals, the concept is really cool! And the sound is great. However, I've played around with the radio but for the life of me I can not understand what am I supposed to do. The red button lights up so I pressed it several times before realizing I am technically able to press others too when it does. But that didn't change anything - I was only hearing static each time ;_; Now I am looking through the comments about people writing down stuff but I am at the stage where I have no clue WHY I even would do that and WHAT would I write :'D I see there is a video in one of the comments but I really would love to try it myself, so any clue/ walkthrough would be appreciated :')
Apr 22 21:24:20 12h 48m Love Caps ♥ 2 This is so cute! :3 Happy to see a cozy game here, and with such adorable mushrooms too. It's crazy there are 3840 of them??? First love of my life: love.jpg Fastest love of my life: love2.jpg Got stuck on this piece of terrain in another playthrough, couldn't get out: stuckMush.jpg The highscore makes you want to play again and do it faster. That's really smart! And honestly the whole thing is impressive in my eyes. I love how cute they look when they dig into the earth, and the hint on the direction, the visuals of it and visuals overall! The concept itself also feels original to me, and it is fun! The only complaint I have is that stamina maybe depletes a little too fast? But all in all, loved the game, thank you for making sth cute!! x3
Apr 22 22:44:01 1h 19m Below the Light ♥ 6 Love the graphics a lot!!! This is so so beautiful and, well, completely my taste x) The atmosphere created with graphics, little animations and music is fantastic. I had fun exploring the game and trying to solve puzzles all until the safe. I did get the rotary thingy but I don't understand where I can use it. I did get the word for the typewriter and translated the secret message. However... I am stuck now. I checked the walkthrough; not sure how to type "whale" as D doesn't give me H if I press it by itself. Maybe I need to play around with it more... But what worries me more is that part with the safe: the dial has to be in a correct position. But... I can't interact with it at all? I can't change the position of the dial? dial.jpg Do I understand correctly that this is a dial? Or am I wrong? Basically walkthrough made me even more confused tbh T_T (I did try clicking on it after typing ABYSS as well, just took a screenshot after)
Apr 22 23:01:30 17m 29s Robo Phone Home ♥ 2 The graphics are so cute ^^ I love the design of those harvest locations especially. Robo is, of course, adorable. The music is lovely too, very sweet and relaxing (which is maybe surprising because the "plot" of the game itself is not that relaxed but I like it anyways xD) I really like your take on the theme, most of all. This is truly 100% a Signal, obvious and clear, but also not anything boring, but a unique interpretation with the controls. It's a very unusual way to control the movements of the character, and that's what makes the gameplay unique! It feels like a puzzle game, and of course levels get progressively harder. I have to admit, I did find this challenging. I ended up sending lots and lots of signals, well, here is what I mean: signals.jpg That's even a milder version cause I was pressing screenshot as well xD I felt like I need to send lots for the Robo to move properly; precision puzzles like this are not really my type of puzzle, that is to say I am too impatient for them xD That said, I think the game is great!! It shows how much effort was put into it, into building the levels, and I think the concept of the mechanics is really cool ^^
Apr 22 23:16:19 14m 49s Twisted Pair ♥ 1 Omg I didn't realize for a while that I can ROTATE the pieces xD That quite literally changed everything. And I was wracking my brain trying to figure out that first level while not knowing I can rotate... The music is really lovely, and I like the game design. It reminded me of one computer game from my childhood that I almost forgot. It was called Vetka in Russian, which means Branch. It was also a puzzle game about connecting - just not wires, but branches, so they would flower. I loved playing Vetka and spent a lot of time on it! Thank you for that hit of nostalgia :D
Apr 22 23:24:43 8m 24s LiliesPond ♥ 1 Very interesting! I love the concept. Love the lilies. They light up very prettily, and I appreciate the watery circles effect ^^ Also interesting how the game affected the screen in fullscreen! effect.jpg Seeing LD page go wavy and colourful added to the atmosphere of the game xD I have completed it! Short and sweet. My only complaing is that I feel like with zen pond the calmer and chill music would be more fitting. Thought I understand upbeat music was used to easier detect the beat, it felt like the music did not feel the atmosphere of the game. But other than that - a cool experience! :D
Apr 23 10:41:39 11h 16m Hive and Honey Horticulture ♥ 2 Wow, you might not call yourself an artist, but you sure are one! Your drawings are great, technically correct, cute, and you have a consistent style; colour palette is hamonious, everything is clear and tidy. Ofc it's always good to strive for more but you can be very proud of your art! The game caught my eye initially because of it - because it looks cute and inviting. It's also worth noting just how much you guys have managed to do in just three days. A whole shop management game, to be honest! Complete with shop customization and decoration?? Several types of flowers... AND mini-games? That's impressive! Mini-games were a bit of a learning curve (the path specifically) but I got adjusted soon and they are not too hard or complicated or anything. The bee path is always different, which keeps it fresh, and the honey collecting is nice and easy :3 It's an adorable cozy game with clicker and light management elements, and honestly with some more polish and work could be sold on Steam as a chill game for cozy community! <3
Apr 23 10:55:45 14m 06s Signal Sleuth ♥ 1 Hello! ^v^/ Is there a way to download the game instead? HTML refuses to work for me :( broken.jpg Gives this error and stops loading the game.
Apr 23 11:13:36 17m 51s Parasignal ♥ 1 The skeletons keep catching me :'D It's always a surprise when the screen moves and suddenly there is a skeleton in my face! That's not a complaint, I think it's neat to make a game that is a little bit harder :) The concept is REALLY cool!! I love the setup and how you play a game within a game with that old-school feeling and atmosphere, some Zelda vibes, the fish eye (not sure how else to call it) effect on TV adding to it - very fun and engaging! I am glad you mentioned L activating the lever in the description cause I wouldn't realize that otherwise :') Visuals are really nice ofc, the gameplay is interesting, just a tad hard for me :') But very cool! I loved how we needed to adjust the TV for new level to appear.
Apr 23 11:27:20 13m 44s Sunny Goes Home ♥ 2 This is really cute! Love your art. Cutscene images are beautiful. For the first ever game in just two days this is a great result!! It felt smooth and nice to play, and the pictures shown in the cutscene made me curious about the story ^^ Can't really rate the audio, because there is none - I turned up my sound and everything, can't hear it. A cute melody would for sure make this little gem even better :) I use Beepbox myself, very easy for simple tunes, or you can even record sth irl with a mic. Do go around and play and rate and comment on other games too, you can just open the Games tab and see what cathes your eye, because then your game will get seen by more people and you will get more feedback and ratings <3 Your game is very cute and lovely so it would be a shame if it goes mostly unnoticed!
Apr 23 12:53:48 1h 26m Void Signals ♥ 1 Well that was confusing for sure, but ofc it was, I am supposed to be 99% blind! At first I thought it was 2D and couldn't make out what to do at all. Then got the hang of the world and started exploring the boxes. I wish there was a way to make the question box disappear without moving away: like pressing E again, for example. It lingers for a while which is a bit frustrating. Maybe that was another way to disorient the player, but I think it would be better to be able to close it. I don't have any answers in the beginning, and the window just staying there made me think at first I HAVE to answer right away, which made me go check the hints under the SPOILERS. (That was a Funky Music signal, I stumbled upon it by accident while still thinking the game is 2D xD) That turned out to hold the answer to the very last box, so I've accidentally speedrun the game (cheated, you can say) :') The ending is really lovely tho!! Very sweet and encouraging, thank you ^v^/ Overall - very cool concept. I checked out all the boxes anyway ofc. Fits the theme in my opinion, feels unique and original. Good job!!
Apr 23 13:10:59 17m 11s ECHO ♥ 1 First of all, I was attracted to the game cover and simple title; and I do love the visuals. The background looks like it's jaws of a giant monster, and we are avoiding the teeth. It gives a great feeling and atmosphere! The sprite of the bat is cute and is clearly visible, contrasting with the background. The gameplay is immediately understandable, very intuitive. I think it would be great to play a game like this with a controller. It has reminded me of one of my fav platformer games, Walk in the Dark ^v^ The concept with the limited light and light slowly appearing makes the game more unique and challenging, as well. My finger gets tired from clicking, I admit xD The sounds are not my favourite part, I think you could play around with those more. But ofc you were more focused on gameplay, just if you continue working on the game, it would be nice to make the sounds more satisfying, as they get old very fast and make you want to play w/o sound. Overall though - a very good entry, in my opinion! Love the artistic design ^v^
Apr 23 13:25:14 14m 15s Bird Man Signal ♥ 1 Ok, that's a nice change of pace from me dying in other jam games over and over :D Very nice to see a Twine entry, and this one was short and sweet :) Fun and simple story, taking the theme into account pretty well. I like how the clones convo references the Superman thingy: is it a plane? is it a bird? NO! It's Superman! (or sth like this xD) Very sweet ending! ALSO Me being a translator and an editor and a writer... It's hard not to go into "edit mode" xD I tried my best not to... However! Here are some typos / mistakes I found ;D A few stars mange to shine through. - probably meant to be "manage"? deep in some arguement - argument Fortunately, the blinding light obscurs - obscures You shift the lid just enough to peak out. - peek out Fear not citizen - add comma: Fear not, citizen. I am hear and will make short work of these Multiplier clones. - I am here Looks like you had to go to a lot of trouble to do this. - through a lot of trouble You sit down on the roof to wait. - You sit down on the roof and wait. You know rooftops are often the scene of climatic battles between superheroes and supervillians, but at the moment, it seemed to be away from the action. - seems to be away (the tense has to be the same)
Apr 23 13:35:42 10m 28s Round-a-doodle-doo ♥ 1 oh no, the chicken nuggets in the ending T_T XD It's a fun take on the joke about the chicken crossing the street. I remember about this joke but not the details of it though xD The chicks are so cuuuuute! Even when they get angry... That's also cute! >v< The pacing of the game starts to pick up and it becomes pretty intense :') But at first it's a cute road management game if I can call it that way? I like how the worsening of the situation was reflected in that smiley face in the centre :D Very fun and feels polished, and ofc your art is always cute!! Great work in just 2 days also ^^ Btw, I like your take on the Signal theme. I don't think I saw much on traffic lights yet, and it IS a signal, so that's cool! My time: chickennuggets.jpg P.S. I didn't expect the fox would turn out to be an owl, remembering your post with that question XD Sorry! P.P.S. Noticed a comment about criminal chicks, wanted to point out for me it was obvious I am supposed to click on them!
Apr 23 13:45:15 9m 33s A glimmer in the sea ♥ 2 Hello! ^v^/ After missing a few jams, I am excited to play a new game by your team. Hopefully I can find time to check out the ones I missed as well! They are always so atmospheric. However, I can't seem to be able to play this one? The itch only has a downloadable Build4 which seems to be an HTML build, but ofc it doesn't open just locally. On the itch itself, at the same time, the HTML game is not embedded: not upl.jpg Is it something on my side? Or maybe there is a missed checkmark on "this file has to play in browser" line on itch edit page? I would be down to downloading a regular PC build for Windows, too, that would be even better. Here's how the file I've downloaded looks for me unzipped, the main folder and the Build folder: not upl2.jpg Hopefully there is a fix, looking forward to playing the game <3
Apr 23 14:05:10 19m 55s Smoke Operator ♥ 1 "Run to your job interview" - immediately setting the mood, that's such a fun play on itch.io's "run (insert what it is)" box x) The visual style is great and fits the game so well! It's fun and cartoonish, the palette is tight and consistent, creating a specific atmosphere. Music is fun, too! I was really enjoying myself, but, unfortunately, got stuck very soon - with the fan :( fan.jpg I've looked through the comments and tried many many many times and I did activate the signal 2 times on pure chance/accident, but I didn't figure what exactly led to this and how those physics work, and both times I died immediately on the spikes :') That smoke mechanic by itself is pretty cool though! The concept is great, maybe I am just too stupid and there needs to be more explanation of the mechanic / physics to stupid players like me :D *Also, that's a huge amount of work for just 2 days, wow!
Apr 23 14:13:42 8m 32s Observer ♥ 2 It looks very very good and atmospheric. The Limbo/Inside inspiration is clearly visible. Light patterns on the dark background look gorgeous. And you chose a perfect audio. Unfortunately, the web version on itch wasn't loading for me, so I watched the full video walkthrough; Gameplay spoiler: !>The changes of POV and 2D to 3D are suprising and add interesting depth to the game. I feel like I would be confused with the puzzles playing it myself, to be honest. The game as a whole feels like a dark ritual, and that's a compliment :) Ending spoiler: !>Love the creepy ending. We were observing this character, now multiple versions of them observe us.
Apr 23 15:15:28 1h 01m Signal Overload ♥ 0 The kitty is very cute ^^ The evil kitty is cute too. Would be nice to have at least some audio track, but understandable. It's a compo entry made in only 2 days, I can see why UI is bare bones and there is no music. However, even a simple tune would suffice! The visuals look hand drawn with pencils, and I really love that. Gives a special warm touch to the game. I figured out my abilities slowly, but I didn't feel like obstacles really protected me from enemy fire. First ability seems to just make you start shooting, and then you don't need it, since you shoot automatically from then on. Maybe it could be on cooldown too, and be a bigger projectile. And shooting would just start automatically from the start. I have to say I couldn't get through the 2nd wave, even after a few tries. Maybe I am just not good, so don't take it to heart. I am sure there would be people who would complete all the waves much easier. Overall, very cute concept and art! <3
Apr 23 15:24:18 8m 50s Defend The Radar ♥ 1 I am not the best at bullet hell but I love the simplicity of the concept, it's a nice break from more complicated games, and it feels good to play. It does get pretty intense too, so it's not boring at all. I love the custom letters you drew for the text in game (like "you lose" etc). The sounds are sutisfying and not annoying. Obviously the UI is a bit unpolished / barebones but it's a compo game, and you probably didn't have time to focus on that. But you did very well with the gameplay side of things, in my opinion ^^ I was playing downloaded version - the HTML didn't load for me (might be an issue on my side however, several games from the jam didn't load) I love how camera pans out, it is a cool effect! Overall, I enjoyed the game, played it a few times. I am not good enough to beat it though, sorry ^^'
Apr 23 15:52:56 28m 38s Search of the Signal ♥ 0 First of all, the concept is great for the theme! It took me a minute to figure out the scanner and how to use it, but with my one braincell I have realised I have to go in the direction where the waves are high :) Just had to read again through controls properly and use it a few times to get used to it. (I have to say though: I was playing in fullscreen, and when I wanted to check the scanner for the "up" direction, so to say, I met with the X button for closing fullscreen, which made me lose precious energy while getting confused; I am sure the PC build doesn't have that, but my system is Windows, not Linux, so I played HTML) Secondly, I like the gameplay, however it needs some adjustment. Obviously you didn't have time to add lots of stuff into the world, but what you could do is either make the scale much smaller, or walking speed much faster. As a result, walking through the empty world with a very low speed (especially on sand) makes for a miserable experience and will prompt many players to abandon the mission. I did finish it, however, because I felt dedicated to completing the game. The goal I reached was a pleasant surprise. It was also beautifully drawn! I have to note, unfortunately, that at that moment the game just "stopped", the sound of feet moving on sand becoming relentless and neverending, as if the game froze or lagged severely. And then, of course, I couldn't move anymore. It would be nice to just show this message, add "Thanks for playing!" and just let the player be (so they can continue moving free). That way it would be clearly telegraphed your game has ended, but it wouldn't freeze like that. For a jam (compo even!) entry this kind of ending would be perfectly acceptable. (There is also a mysterious e"d" a bit lower, as a visual glitch(?)) source.jpg
Apr 23 16:12:26 19m 30s Fae'calling ♥ 1 Love the creepy atmosphere! The music supports it well. I did walk directly into the fairy fairly ready for a jumpscare/death screen, but then she just vanished (and I got a text about it as well) so it seems I've failed the mission. Couldn't find her again after that :( The graphics really fit the mood. I love the grainy effect and dim lighting. After locking in with M, the movement feels smooth. Very interesting entry! At first I thought it's horror, but then it made me feel relaxed :)
Apr 23 16:20:33 8m 07s Signal surfer ♥ 1 I am sorry, I am not very good with it. Surfing itself feels satisfying and lovely, but I can't seem to understand the mechanics of it very well. Mostly I am getting zero of shiny dots, my high score is 45 :') But I think it's a really cool and original concept!
Apr 23 16:43:56 23m 23s Satellite Days ♥ 1 Wow, this is so good! The graphics might be simple, but they do their job, and everything looks nice and neat. The animation for when you get level up feels great! But most importantly, the gameplay itself is fantastic. I love pinball-kinda games (not sure how else to call this) and I feel like there are not many of them out there. So it felt super satisfying for me to play. I love how you upped the difficulty in creative ways!! And then, the boss battle. Took me 3 or 4 tries, I'll be honest! And then the ending was so EPIC?? Like the story is not too deep or complicated but I got invested! Great game, really feels fun and complete ^^
Apr 23 17:21:14 37m 18s Signal Loop ♥ 1 I liked the concept, and it was done well, in my opinion. Took a second to get adjusted, then got a hang of what to do. It's interesting to build a path for the robot, then to see your genius vision perfectly executed :D The visuals are pretty nice (I especially like the animation on You Died screen, it's so cool!!) And it's lovely you've added that transparent sprite so we can visualise the path. And you made so many levels in just 2 days, that's impressive! I didn't beat the game, but I enjoyed my time with it :)
Apr 23 18:20:12 58m 58s Mixed Messages ♥ 0 Hello! I wanted to play your game but unfortunately Web build doesn't seem to work for me, not on itch nor here, the loading progress bar just never completed (I left it for about 30 mins I think!) Do you think it would be possible to add a PC build download for Windows? ^^
Apr 24 13:34:53 19h 14m Ignorance is profitable ♥ 1 Morally speaking, this is the game you want to lose; that's what I thought after seeing the "losing the game" message; it didn't show which wave I died on, and I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the number to remember myself. It got challenging relatively quickly, but the upgrades were coming in often, and they were lovely (especially the speed, since satellites move pretty slow). That was certainly an interesting experience! Also, I love the pretty night sky and how you drew the planet ^^
Apr 24 14:36:18 1h 01m S.L.O.P. - Signals lost on planets ♥ 2 I love the setting ^^ Couldn't quite get what was written on the mug in the control room? I wish I could look closer. Clicked on it, but nope :') The game is kinda addictive, it is slow (because you wait for your signals to travel and connect) but relaxing, though my gameplay soon became, well, mindblowingly lazy: mindblowing.jpg Kinda worked tho? mindblowing2.jpg Very nice entry, imo. I found it fun ^^
Apr 24 14:49:38 13m 20s PING ♥ 3 Wow, this is so cool! Really feels like a complete, polished game, despite it being made in only 3 days. Several levels, very interesting mechanic, cute graphics! The screen with stats after each level made me nostalgic. I am not sure if it reminds me of something specific, but definitely some games from my childhood. First level was good for getting familiar with the mechanics of the game. It helped me get adjusted. I'll be honest, the game always told me my score was BAD and I was supposed to do everything in much less moves, but... I was proud I did it at all xD However this definitely could be the type of game where you grind to get better, get all stars on each level, so to say, maybe unlock something for perfecting all levels (talking if it was a bigger game going to be published on Steam or sth ^^) The mechanic is very cool. It makes for a nice puzzle, it feels pretty good (I did feel sometimes that I should've hit the object but in game's eyes I've missed, so it seems their collision shapes are quite tight, but overall the game feels smooth when you adjust to it), and it certainly fits the theme! Great entry <3
Apr 24 15:01:56 12m 18s Bag of Beholding ♥ 2 UI feels really good. Main menu is so pretty and controls window feels satisfying, and I like how buttons react when you move the mouse over them. I wish I knew what was going on in the combat though. It needs some reactivity (what happened? did my attack deal that 2 damage? how much HP we have, the enemy has? - at least some text appearing like "Slime takes 2 damage!" and "You successfully block the attack!" would be a huge improvement). Also, we can check what both of the parties have on them, but what can we do with it other than read descriptions? I clicked on everything, dragged everything, but it seems the only thing I can do is "Start turn". UPD: I found that right click removes the item. Now the knight and the snake look at each other, all their items removed, not knowing what to do :'D Definitely needs more explanation, reactivity, feedback. Art and UI are pretty tho.
Apr 24 15:06:25 4m 29s CODE RGB ♥ 1 Very interesting concept! I love how when I tried pressing two buttons together, the colours combined into a new one. That was really cute. I love the small window and retro feel of the game. Visually it looks very pleasing, and moving feels smooth. The animations look smooth as well. Music is quite groovy ^^
Apr 24 15:17:43 11m 18s Signal Hunter ♥ 1 Wow, that's pretty cool! Shame there is no audio at all, but I love how the environment lights up a little when we use a gun :) And that my bullets are infinite hehe. I like there is a story to it, and I enjoy the top-down view. The main character looks pretty nice, cool blocky design, bright colour to contrast the environment. The game overall looks like great bones on which you can place more textures and expand- expand this all into a full-blown story shooter game. With elements of stealth ig if we consider I can crouch and move quietly. Ofc I got lost (I see there is a map, which looks like a labyrinth, but that didn't help me). I have horrible sense of direction so I just kept checking every room. And that was the moment I knew I was f***ed.. fucked.jpg
Apr 24 15:32:27 14m 44s Signal Scrubber ♥ 0 The text popping up disappeared way too fast, I didn't have time to read it at all. Turning the knobs felt counterintuitive (like i was moving mouse left and right and couldn't quite figure out how to turn those knobs conveniently). The visuals in the screen looked pretty cool. I like the alien/conspiracy/illuminati theme going on in the game. The main screen (desk) fits the atmosphere fell. But in the end, I kept failing - because of the knobs, ig :') Fits the jam theme well, tho!
Apr 24 15:50:14 17m 47s Farwatch ♥ 1 I love the little pixel graphics, they are so tiny and pretty! Everything looks just so so good and cozy. I am not really into RTS but you explained the controls well, I think. It was only a bit confusing when I tried moving down that the screen didn't scroll until my units were already behind the gray UI bar. I think it would be lovely if it started scrolling a bit earlier. Upon reaching the workers, I started making my village immediately: village.jpg It looks so cute! I was hoping my soldiers could come in and rest and heal but they didn't care :') Then the night fell, I couldn't see anything for a while, and in morning I was back at the very starting spot again but with way less forces ^^' Then very soon as I found an already established village and clicked on a tower with fire in it (forgot to screenshot ><) the night suddenly fell again, and it felt like it would never end :') During that I figured out I can scroll the screen by moving my mouse down without clicking anything :o The day came again and I thought I wonder what those villages are even for? So I left that village also and kept going, somehow only 2 soldiers left, towards somewhere. I went further south and met a dead end. I am sorry, I think it's just not my genre... I am still feeling confused xD But it looks like you've done a lot in 2 days, and the graphics are really pretty!!
Apr 24 16:01:52 11m 38s IONOSPHERE ♥ 1 The visuals are REALLY cool. I love the atmosphere. An interesting way to attack enemies, as well. And the animation that goes with it is beautiful! The music sets the mood quite well. Maybe not quite sure where the jam theme comes in and I wasn't very good at avoiding enemy projectiles, but it was definitely a unique experience!
Apr 24 16:17:31 15m 39s GHOST CHANNEL ♥ 2 The visuals are so good! As well as world building. It's cool you've added info on the ghosts here on LD page. I love how the screen moves with that effect as if on tube TV, it's a really good touch, makes the game even more atmospheric. Everything is stylish, pretty, colourful and bright! Cool design as well. I was confused on how to actually play the game, unfortunately. The ghosts kept bullying me so I couldn't move much. I tried getting on 2nd floor but didn't manage to. Left click (stun?) didn't seem to do anything. Also, in the very beginning with the newspaper and controls screen, I wish it only disappeared when I click a mouse or sth. it was too soon for me so I had to close the game and open it again to read it properly :') I wish I could actually play it properly, the premise and atmosphere seem so cool!
Apr 24 16:49:24 31m 53s Pouring Rain ♥ 2 Wow, the font is really fancy! I feel a bit bad realizing it's Part 2 and I am playing it without playing Part 1 first ^^' I went to your previous jam page but there is only one link and it plays Part 2?? I really like MC's portrait. And overall vibe of the game. A mystery, rain, noir vibes... Perfect +v+ Pearl is so pretty!! Coraline, too :) Oh wow, ending already? I was getting invested in the story!! There's def something supernatural going on... Next part next jam ig? :D **In conclusion**: It was very fun! Love the design, the visuals, the atmosphere and the story :) The writing seems very good to me!
Apr 24 18:14:33 1h 25m F(R)OG ♥ 3 The main menu is BEAUTIFUL, and the graphics in game are so cute! I love the signal theme implementation. Finding first fireflies were satisfying. The chests were so confusing to me. I came here, read the comments, reread the description, couldn't get it... Finally I realised chests give you an "ability". It seems with the jump I have to collect it and immediately press space while facing the right way (the water). I think part of the confusion comes from the fact those are chests. Usually you expect to get items from those! Some explanation in Controls section of your page would be nice. I almost gave up there ;_; A new area opened and I realized that while taking the jump ability, you maybe JUST need to face the right direction, w/o pressing space. You see, in that first area I tried pressing space while on top of the chest, thinking I am interacting with it, and that did nothing. Now it seems the main thing is to hold the right direction keys (out of WASD). Then again I tried jumping over the rock with jump abilities and it only worked on 3-4th try. I feel like I am still confused on the mechanics here. Managed to make it to the end nonetheless! The final CG is soooo CUTE! ^v^/ Art is definitely my fav part of the game. Just found the mechanics a bit confusing. The sound was great too, very sweet and relaxing :)
Apr 24 18:46:02 31m 29s While You Were Here ♥ 3 The visuals and the atmosphere are really lovely ^v^ I especially like the animation of the boy jumping. I felt confused at first. I don't know why, but I jumped on golem's head (it was asleep still) and tried giving it signals from there thinking it will carry me ^^' Then I went back to the page, reread everything again, tried giving signals from the side but he was still asleep. Only then I realized I have to come up to him and "Interact" with the E to wake him up :') After that I tried completing the first level. Thought I am supposed to cover the spike with the crate, which again my bad I guess, it does maybe make more sense to put the crate on that stone circle. So I had to reload a few times ^^' Here I have to note the letters are gorgeous, too. Very pretty! I enjoyed the audio as well, very fresh and relaxing, gives you that feeling of being out in nature in a quiet forest... The sound of whistling is nice too :) I did use a hint for the 3rd level. Was still adjusting to Commanding/Signaling mechanic too. The ending was confusing? This black mass looked creepy... And then the golem just went to sleep :') I see it's a compo, and you did a LOT for a compo game. Probably couldn't fit a proper ending in the schedule. But I feel invested in the characters and their story now :) Also wanted to say I like how there are three (?) different whistling sounds, I like the design of the boy (nice and colourful, and has character!) and the golem (very golem-y!) and overall atmosphere of the game. It felt relaxing and calming, even despite me failing the levels several times. All in all, I think it's VERY impressive for a compo game and I loved it a lot!!
Apr 30 12:23:32 137h 37m Almost the Same ♥ 3 This was quite horrific. Definitely a frighening atmosphere. Moving around the screen is a bit nauseating. But I love the mechanic of drawing, and what it seems on memory (at least I couldn't look at both places at the same time), though I was surprised by the time limit. Really cool that I get other players' drawings?? If I understood this correctly.
Apr 30 14:06:18 1h 42m The Sound Store ♥ 2 These hand-drawn assets are so cute!! Love that you included a photo of the process :) Their puffed cheeks are adorable, I love how you present the story in the beginning of the game, and the texture of slightly crumpled paper adds such a cozy touch. It's such a great way to combine digital and traditional media! The animations and sounds are adorable too. I am absolutely floored by the visual style, it's just SO good ^v^ And the gameplay is so interesting and unusual too?? And you even did such a great tutorial, too. Together in only three days, wow, it feels so polished and well thought through. Honestly this is a great cozy game, and it fits the theme super well also :) My first day on Normal: taping.jpg I am afraid I failed on Hard mode, tried a few times but it seems my brain just doesn't compute the patterns of combined waves, I don't really understand why they change the way they change ^^'' buuuut overall this game is so so good! I am glad I found it ^^
Apr 30 14:23:56 17m 38s Speed Signal ♥ 1 Very interesting mechanics!! I love how smooth they feel and the way I can actually bounce off the walls too? The mechanical sound does get a bit like... "too much" soon, echoing in my brain xD But I do love the gameplay a lot! Hard though for a person like me who loves just pressing jump nonstop and can't help themselves lol. Definitely makes for a chaotic and long(er) playthrough xD The way I can hold the key longer to determine the height of the jump feels very intuitive too but I did fu** myself over with that multiple times, "overjumping" the platforms or underjumping :') I've noticed the pretty backgrounds and new visual platform type by the end as well. I think the visual design is quite pretty! I couldn't quite make out what my character is supposed to be and what exactly they are riding. It seemed to me like a guy in a really cool mobile wheelchair x) wheelchair.jpg The game flew by fast and I had a lot of fun. I did switch tabs to write down my thoughts in the proccess so that might affect the time too, I am not sure if the game was getting paused though. But I wasn't really going for max speed, just for fun ^^ The "enemy" is quite forgiving, I was afraid the 1st time the banana would spawn back where it was. Thank you for making it not too hard :D It still has some impact but not too harsh! Overall, yeah, super fun ^^ I love platformers and this felt fresh and smooth and intuitive to me. Pretty-looking, imo, too. I would only complain about audio, maybe the SE of the wheels(?) can be made a bit softer, or there could be a few diff sounds, or not constant sound, or did I just jump TOO much? xD Great game tho!! Thank you, I've enjoyed it a lot <3
Apr 30 15:12:56 49m 00s Foto ♥ 1 Hehe this is such a fun and engaging idea! @mastoast Found yours ;) I was trying so hard to get the exact same angle but in the end THIS is what the game counted xD foundit!.jpg actually, 2 ppl already found this one before me! :) @mrturtle I've got a bit carried away so I have around 6 photos made. I'll share the ones that were the "third" one each playthrough ^v^ (As the game says that's when I am HIDING my stash) I think it's these ones: photo3.png photo 6.png I love the colours of the game, the relaxing beachy atmosphere, the gameplay idea is GENIUS and it's just cozy and fun. Only missing audio/music and more smootheness in the movement when I am moving my mouse looking/moving around, it kinda...clips? janky? snaps from one angle to another? I am trying to explain to the best of my ability but you probably noticed it yourself already! This is a really cool game, and made just by yourself! Wow! I've enjoyed it quite a bit, especially the "social" aspect of it and bright, happy graphics. Thank you for this game ^^
Apr 30 15:45:19 32m 23s Mixed//Signals ♥ 2 Pff that was SO chaotic!! Very unexpected. First try I was simply ????? then second try I got the hang of this and managed to achieve somewhat decent(?) score: scorechaos.jpg I like the music just gets faster and FASTER and FSTR!!! It adds to chaotic vibe and shows the progression and stakes. I felt confused with the rhino one a bit. Maybe I missed a visual cue but I thought I just need to take a good shiny box, either one of them. Just not TNT. But got blown up several times. Also with the flags - I probably should've noted the position of the according button but since everything was going so fast I didn't do that. So when the game didn't tell me explicitly which button to press, I've failed. I have thoroughly enjoyed the chaos tho. It's fun and made me smile and maybe laugh a bit :) I think the mixing of different "mini-games" was done perfectly, and simple visual style makes it clear to understand ^^
Apr 30 15:54:59 9m 40s ECHOMAZE ♥ 2 The art is gorgeous. This little robot is adorable. I felt bad when it hurt itself falling off the stairs, poor thing :( I wish I could help it reach its goal but my sense of direction is atrocious to begin with, so... The mechanic does fit the theme very well, but I still feel lost and run out of battery. It seems our current position also is not being shown on mini map? At least I didn't see that. It would really really help. Oh, the sound the robot makes when scanning the area is also adorable. Just the difficulty of "finding my way" is inaccessible to me unfortunately :')
Apr 30 16:15:29 20m 30s Drowned by the Light ♥ 3 I don't know why but the music reminded me heavily of those old MS-DOS Prince of Persia games and it made me insanely nostalgic. And the game itself is really a piece of art, with the visuals and the head-spinning, hypnotizing gameplay screen, going in the spiral-circle chased by hands feeling like in a nightmare, not awake but possibly delirious. The writing feels poetic, too. The drawings are fantasic. I got lost on one of the early levels (3rd?) unfortunately, not being able to figure out the correct path and getting blocked by lovecraftian entities(?) The hands easily caught up with me on previous levels, too, but I managed to reach the lighthouse before running out of lives. The movement of my ship didn't feel very intuitive to me, but the overall feel and atmosphere of the game are outstanding!
Apr 30 16:28:26 12m 57s What's that signal? ♥ 2 WOW that was quite an experience!!! This is something you can go insane from. For sure. I need to gather my thoughts on this one xD **Audio**: ASMR voice effect is overwhelming. Not in a bad way. I feel like that's part of the point. The main character voice over is funny because he sounds like he is about to cry :') (Also, this is so sad) sad.jpg **Visuals**: It's kinda genius to just make the textures out of running words. It fits the game you created so well, creating an insane atmosphere, but also the moving of the words creates an interesting optical effect which adds a lot. The words also giving you clues to proceed in the game is an added bonus :D **Gameplay**: I'll admit mostly I slided around the house bumping chest first or face first into everything I saw in front of me, though I did notice the word SIGNAL appearing and checked some items out thanks to it, I think the actual correct spot in the end was found "blind". But I feel like this game is more about the experience. And the experience is fantastic. **Overall**: Very creative entry, I did enjoy my time with it and thankfully managed not to go insane. Poetry is lovely to see, voice acting is great, visuals are genius and atmosphere is on point ^-^
Apr 30 16:34:20 5m 54s Echo ♥ 3 Not an easy puzzle game, but the conditions I feel like are pretty understandable. Lovely sound for the bat's signal. The graphics look neat and tidy. Cute bat with cute animation, too ^^
Apr 30 17:44:47 1h 10m Signal Colors ♥ 2 I'd say my first run was like a tutorial for me where I was just figuring out the game. The second run was the real deal and I started enjoying myself quite a bit. The music is a bit hypnotic, drawing you in. The clicks sounds are satisfying, and everything looks neat, tidy and stylish. I love the upgrades, there are so many and they continuosly expand the game and make your run longer. The colours are bright and pretty, and simple design of the upgrade cards on the right stands out stylishly on the black background. I was so happy when I got the teal colour, and then pink came along?? Even better! ^v^ It was getting harder there in the end, ultimately I couldn't get the last upgrade because I didn't get lucky with the colours game was giving me - I needed green but kept getting mines for other colours ^^' But I am still happy with my run! colours.jpg Very relaxing, meditative game; I did enjoy playing it a lot :)
Apr 30 18:34:40 49m 53s Propaganda and Rhetoric ♥ 1 This is a unique approach to constructing a gameplay. There is a small issue with how you need to press Escape on itch page to go check the website, and then get back and reactivate the game on itch, so to say. But the idea of us needing "external" materials is cool. I'll be honest, I didn't manage to "win" the game; I did look for clues and did find the wavy words with clues on the site. I tried writing in the phrase I got (for example: Home... is where the heart is), just the corresponding picture (Home... Heart) or picture number (Home... 1) but got Bam! after each try so it seems all of those are wrong. I wasn't sure what is going on in general either depsite reading the intro ^^' I wish I could understand the puzzle and the story better, but nonetheless, interesting experience :)
Apr 30 21:35:37 3h 00m Flirting 101 ♥ 1 Cute and colourful puzzle; the sounds the guy makes is SO funny :) I like to imagine you recorded the sounds for the game yourself :) It's so fun to create your own audio for the game ^^ It does feel a bit slow when you wait for the heart to complete its path, and then the guy makes just a few moves at a time. I was surprised to notice I can move the bow itself with that red heart too! Kinda assumed it was just for the guy. Interesting twist! And it seems the game keeps adding on stuff, with the "hate you" signal for the guy to go in the opposite direction! Then I squashed a guy with a box... Well, he looks fine! :D The skip button is very thoughtful. That way I could skip levels I didn't understand / was struggling with and still complete other levels ^^ Smart to add it in a jam entry so everyone can check out all the levels even if they are struggling with the puzzles! At least for me these are not easy x)
Apr 30 22:47:16 1h 11m Hidden Signals ♥ 1 Oh I was really getting into it and then the game ended! That's fair of course, it's a COMPO game, what I mean is that I was sat ready to play more and more and then was sad it ended xD At first, I was confused. The white noise was overwhelming, I pressed WASD and all and didn't notice anything happening. I made my computer sound lower and concentrated on the game again. This time the noise didn't feel TOO overwhelming and I started feeling hypnotized, looking at the gray static. And just as I was entering a meditative state, suddenly my vision started clearing! It seems the music was becoming more and more melodic as static faded slowly. But I have to admit I was relying mostly on that visual cue. I liked the progression from level to level. Other symbols, the labyrinth; the mechanic with the differently coloured walls. The hardest part was the beginning of every level. I have to say I was just pressing buttons for a while, imagining the symbol going down right or up left etc. And waiting patiently for it to appear. I was trying to rely on sound cues more but I didn't want to make it too loud because the static hurt my brain when I tried playing it louder. It was very very enjoyable and something very beautiful you made here, thank you for the game, I had fun! It was relaxing, meditative, pretty and - other than the very start of the levels - easy to understand :)
May 5 19:50:20 117h 03m Terminal Transmitter 6000 ♥ 1 This is quite unusual! I tried playing the game myself and watched the video you attached, as well. I'll admit I had only a vague idea on what I am doing, but it was fun to play around with it anyway. I liked the little graphics, it looked very cozy. I am not sure if the ear on the right was pleased with my efforts or hurt though :) It seems like an interesting sound experiment! I understand what you meant when talking about choosing "digital" audio for the game. Very on theme, too! ^^
May 7 20:34:16 48h 43m Fading Light ♥ 0 Your game is so beautiful! I wish you went around and played other people's games so they would be able to see and play yours too because it is lovely. I especially like the style, and here is a screenshot for others since there is none on the page: fadingLight.jpg It is very atmospheric, and the visual style is gorgeous. The ships look a bit different which is a small, but nice touch. Monsters are good too - they are just simple tentacles, but that opens way for imagination. You get a bit of a Lovecraftian feel from it which I love. The gameplay is immediately understandable, it is not too complicated and feels great for a jam entry. It felt relaxing and not too hard for me. I won the game with 2 lives left. fLightvictory.jpg The game feels polished and neat, well thought through, and it is not janky in any way, it's very comfortable to play. I liked the water sounds as well, they added a bit of humour in it, I feel like :) Overall - really enjoyed this entry, short and sweet and pretty, well-polished, really recommend to anyone who comes along it ^v^
