Apr 25 18:12:03 Suds of War ♥ 3 I really love the fog of war effect! I did have some performance problems on the web version, though. It also seems like the audio sometimes plays multiple times instead of just once when a ship moves.
Apr 28 20:19:34 74h 07m Transistor Soup ♥ 2 This is super cool! Gotta love digital logic.
Apr 30 01:50:37 29h 31m SLINGSHOOT ♥ 0 This was really fun. Though, with a lot of enemies on the screen I don't find myself using the gravity mechanic too much. Instead it seems better to just try to avoid the bullets as best I can. highscore.PNG
May 1 03:46:54 25h 56m Small World War ♥ 0 Cool concept. For the most part I thought the execution was really good too. I wasn't able to figure out the point of upgrading the sandbags or buying machine gun nests though. I also had some technical issues that made the experience a little rough, like getting shot through walls.
May 1 03:57:13 10m 19s Deja Vu ♥ 2 I had a fun time with this! I really liked the sprite work. I do wish there was some way to see which people I had already met (I often lost track). It would be cool if the timer didn't start until I started moving, also. When I got to a new level it sometimes took me a few seconds to get my bearings.
May 1 04:33:19 36m 06s Polyorbis ♥ 1 The game was pretty cool (especially the art)! My biggest gripe is that there's no visual indication of the direction I'm facing. I also accidentally clicked off the window several times, which caused the game to close, which is a bit unfortunate.
May 1 04:55:12 21m 53s Crater Creator ♥ 2 This game was super great! It was also really hard. It might be a bit more manageable if there was a more consistent way to push asteroids. It might have benefited from some music, also. Overall is super fun. I loved the way the planet grew at the place where the asteroid hit it... I had a fun time ignoring the objective and trying to make tall mountains...
May 1 05:03:59 8m 47s Micro-World Defense ♥ 5 Fun, and really hard. Although I did realize that just spinning around and constantly firing was the best strategy, which made it a a fair amount easier. My best score was 1756 (I think).
May 1 05:06:19 2m 20s liftoff ♥ 1 I enjoyed flying between planets! The trading system is cool, but I did have some problems with the inventory menu. It wasn't always obvious how much I could buy from a planet. It might be better if there were separate rows for buying/selling and the ship inventory. Overall really cool though!
May 1 05:21:05 14m 46s Snowed In ♥ 2 This is fantastic. "'F** off', Collin hinted." The graphics and voice acting were great, especially considering the time constraints. It's a good sign when the only thing I want from the game is for it to be longer (not to say I didn't love the ending).
May 1 05:54:58 33m 53s A World In Her Eye ♥ 1 I really liked the art, especially in the planet changing scene. The time limit is a cool idea, but it was a little frustrating the first time through when I had to restart because I didn't realize time passed. I also loved the audio (like the way that the robot had different sounds than the normal text). Overall really cool!
May 1 06:02:33 7m 35s Blocknauts! ♥ 1 Great game! I played the Jam version and the camera controls were pretty problematic for me, especially when changing between space and a planet's surface. It seems like you've already fixed that in the post-Jam version though. I really enjoyed building up the rocket.
May 1 16:05:08 10h 02m Aliens vs Rng ♥ 2 I really like the art style. I love how each planet and alien race looks different. I think the concept is really cool too, and I had a good time playing it. I did encounter some bugs (I think). For example, I got the same "a caste system has been established" event probably 6 or 7 times in a row. A little bit later, no matter what the event was I always got the everyone dies result from the world war event.
May 1 16:13:32 8m 24s Icarus Isolation ♥ 1 Really nice looking graphics! It seems like it's a common comment, but I had a really hard time with the controls. It might have been a bit easier if the left and right arrows rotated the character like A and D do. That would let you control your angle during flight with one hand. I also had a hard time collecting some of the crystals (I would just fly right through them).
May 1 16:21:30 7m 58s Universal Journey ♥ 2 This was a really cool idea. Definitely pretty different than anything I've seen so far. I really liked the simple art style and the particle effects after collisions. I did have a few problems where the prediction line didn't actually represent my motion. I'm not sure if that's a bug, or the result of the planet losing mass when I fire a nuke.
May 1 16:29:25 7m 55s Morlandia ♥ 0 This was really cool! Like previous commentators, I think it would be cool if there was something to do other than move around. The flavor text did make for an enjoyable experience. I did notice some bugs regarding extra spaces at the beginning and end of commands. If you trim the string before trying interpreting it they wouldn't be a problem.
May 1 16:40:36 11m 11s Gantan Guardian ♥ 1 This was awesome! I loved the how the differences from my weapons and the enemy weapons forced me to split my focus. I also really liked the screen vibration effect, although it got a little ridiculous with lots of enemies on the screen.
May 1 18:59:46 2h 19m Pod2000 ♥ 5 The sound effects are awesome! I love the idea too! It reminded me of Duskers. I had a really good time playing through the game. I do wish it was a little more clear where modules should be built. I explored all the areas first, and then just built modules via trial and error.
May 1 19:25:07 25m 21s Mallows World Adventure ♥ 1 Very cool. I like the music and I think the interpretation of the theme is actually pretty unique. I accidentally dropped the snorkel underwater though. I couldn't pick it up again before dying. It would be cool if your inventory was reloaded when you die.
May 1 19:36:03 10m 56s Commander's Log ♥ 1 Awesome game! I accidentally killed a few astronauts before realizing water was important... Reminds me of dwarf-fortress and FTL. I noticed some issues with the responsiveness of the GUI though. Sometimes it seemed like I need to click a button multiple times for it to register in the shipment screen.
May 1 19:42:43 6m 40s Your Planet: Too Big ♥ 1 This was fun! I actually found it pretty challenging, which was good! Sometimes it was a bit difficult to figure out how my change was going to effect the shape of the planet overall, however. I'm not sure how you could solve this, but I think it would make losing a level a bit more fair.
May 1 19:56:54 14m 11s World of Echoes ♥ 1 The time travel mechanic is really cool. The puzzles were actually really challenging! Also, is the multiplayer real-time? Or were the other players I saw recordings? Either way, it was really surprising to see other people pop up in the game! Great job!
May 1 20:04:21 7m 27s Blackhole Escape INC ♥ 0 Cool game! It's impressive that you were able to do this in your own engine! I think it would've benefited a lot from better controls and a better gui, though. I think you should move in the direction you are pressing, not the direction you are looking (like a twin stick shooter). A dedicated inventory button and a more organized inventory screen would've also helped.
May 1 20:25:09 20m 48s Little Remains ♥ 2 I really loved the watercolor art style! It's really impressive that you finished this in only 72 hours. Like the others, I think the scene transitions could use a little work. I also swear that the yellow pig was off-screen.
May 1 20:34:14 9m 05s MagiSEED ♥ 2 This was really cool. I liked that there were a variety of mechanics - it kept it interesting. I think the boss was a bit hard though. I also think the physics could use a little bit of work... it didn't quite feel "right." Overall really great work!
May 1 20:58:11 23m 57s The Glass Marble Tour ♥ 1 The story was really cute... Overall I really liked it. I think it could benefit from more interactive mechanics that serve the story though. I do think the mechanics that were there were goods ideas (like being able to choose to go to Scotland or not, or the second level controlling two characters). The simple art style was also really nice.
May 1 21:11:12 13m 01s Routine ♥ 1 This is a cool concept and I really like the art style. I found waiting for the days to pass a little tedious though. The music was simple, but I think it served it's purpose well and established a good tone.
May 1 21:23:41 12m 29s Abaddon ♥ 1 This played really well. I think it could benefit from a bit more variety in enemies to encourage choosing targets while strafing. I found the game to be quite challenging, which is cool.
May 1 21:42:06 18m 25s Little Fortune Planet ♥ 3 Awesome! The cards are hilarious and well drawn, and the sandbox game play is surprisingly fleshed out. Reminds me of the powder game from way back.
May 1 21:51:24 9m 18s A View from Above ♥ 2 This was hilarious! The voice acting was really well done! It'd be cool if there were some more interactive elements though.
May 1 21:56:01 4m 37s Hibernaculum ♥ 1 I thought this was really cool. I like the idea behind the movement, but I had a hard time with it. There were a lot of places that I thought I could move to, only to find that I couldn't. The reverse was also true, there were places I thought I couldn't go to that I could. This ended up making traversal feel a bit inconsistent and hampered the experience a bit. The art and music were great though. Overall very good.
May 1 23:06:58 1h 10m Until Tomorrow ♥ 3 This is really great. The story sucked me in and kept me playing until the end. The puzzles were really well done. The graphics and music really served the theme too. The one complaint I have is the controls - I found it a bit annoying that my character moved when I released the key as opposed to when I press it. It made it feel like there was input lag. Great game overall!
May 1 23:12:58 6m 00s The Shrinkifier ♥ 0 I liked the art and the concept, but I had a hard time understanding the rotation mechanic. It seems like the amount of rotation is sorta random, which was a bit frustrating. I liked the idea of the one time use modifiers though.
May 1 23:30:58 18m 00s RASHLANDER ♥ 1 This is actually fantastic. One of my favorites so far! The controls feel just right and the physics are really fun. The graphics are great as well. The sound of exploding was really grating though. It'd be better if it was a bit less harsh. I absolutely loved this game though! (I also really liked the difficulty, but I wish that when I died I started over from the level I died in instead of level 1).
May 1 23:47:36 16m 38s Techium Eclipse ♥ 0 I really liked the art. The game play got pretty frantic as time went on, which was pretty fun.
May 1 23:54:13 6m 37s Microchip IO ♥ 1 This is pretty cool. I really like the idea of a digital logic puzzle game! The 3D graphics look really cool, but I think they end up making gameplay a bit clunky. It can be difficult to actually delete a wire once it's been placed.
May 2 00:00:04 5m 51s Ant Clicker - Ready for your reviews!!! ♥ 2 Not a huge fan of clicker games, but I really like the graphics and sound. I played longer than I thought I would!
May 2 00:48:57 48m 53s The Space Dwarf Brigade ♥ 1 I liked the art, but it really could've used some audio.
May 2 00:54:54 5m 57s DEFEND YOUR TINY WORLD! v1.1 ♥ 2 I liked the difficulty curve. It didn't get too hard too quickly.
May 2 00:58:49 3m 55s Bug to the Footstep ♥ 1 The game opened in a reallllyy small window for me. Otherwise pretty cool. **Edit:** The maximize button did the trick, lol. My bad. Had a fun time playing through a bit of it again!
May 2 01:04:11 5m 22s Proxima Centauri b ♥ 1 I like the style and the music, but I had a hard time actually playing because the mouse was so offset on my screen.
May 2 01:14:08 9m 57s Higher Ground ♥ 1 This was really cool. I liked that it encouraged me to decide between climbing up a short slope right away or waiting and climbing a taller one. The length of the menu animations was too high though.
May 2 01:22:51 8m 43s It's a Small World, So Let's Crash It into Things ♥ 1 Well done. I wish the camera just followed my planet though. The panning was pretty jarring.
May 2 01:24:43 1m 52s Roguelike One ♥ 6 Really fun. I wish that there was a better way to change direction though. It felt a little clunky to try and shoot an enemy behind me.
May 2 01:25:38 55s Ant Detective ♥ 0 That was hilarious! Great work!
May 2 01:46:35 20m 57s Carefulzilla ♥ 0 This was great! I did encounter a bug where I couldn't pick up the trailing foot when it was at the edge of the screen though.
May 2 01:49:26 2m 51s NO STEP ON HYOOMINS ♥ 1 At first (I didn't read the instructions) I thought I was supposed to crush the people... This was really fun, both playing for the objective and not.
May 2 01:56:09 6m 43s ⬛️ ♥ 3 Interesting concept. I liked it.
May 2 02:15:49 19m 40s Id's Journey ♥ 1 I'm having the problems other's are having on Windows 10. I tried running the 32 bit version in Windows 7 compatibility mode, but I had no luck :(
May 2 02:36:08 20m 19s Monolith ♥ 2 The visuals work really well. I particularly like the lock-on animation.
May 2 03:02:44 26m 36s Asymmetry ♥ 2 I really liked the way that the music slowed down when time slowed down. I'm still not sure exactly how you get the ability when you press space (it seems like you have to visit all the colors first or something). I guess I don't really have any ideas for what to add... the game feels pretty complete to me.
May 2 17:31:34 14h 28m Colonial Kart World ♥ 1 This was really cool! I think it's great how well the game and the title mesh, considering the random title generation.I enjoyed the game but found aiming to be a bit difficult (I never really felt like I knew where exactly my shot would land).
May 2 17:57:12 25m 38s Mind's Eye ♥ 1 I actually think this a really cool interpretation of the theme! I thought the game was pretty fun, but at first (since you only have one action) it was difficult to understand the difference between the heavy and light attacks. I also had some issues with the controls, but that's probably me just being a slow learner (kept accidentally hitting space). It might be better if you added a "confirm" button before each turn.
May 3 04:18:03 10h 20m Super Small-io World! ♥ 1 Pretty fun. The fastest enemy was a little frustrating when it would come from off screen and instantly kill me. It might've been better to have more enemies that were a bit easier more carefully placed. I still found the game enjoyable though!
May 3 16:28:00 12h 09m Space Raiders ♥ 3 I really like the art and lighting! I kept falling in the heart pit and getting stuck though... (I assume there's a way out but I couldn't figure it out). I also think cutting down trees could use more audio/visual feedback when you right click.
May 3 16:41:34 13m 34s Jetpackman VS Bouncy World ♥ 3 This is really original. It's very different than anything I've played. It's really satisfying to jet pack up really high and kill an enemy. I think it would be a bit more challenging if the jet packhad limited flying time though. Overall very fun!
May 3 19:01:38 2h 20m Song of Fungus ♥ 2 The audio and visuals come together really nicely. The difficulty curve seems pretty good and the puzzles actually require some critical thought. I liked it a lot.
May 3 20:56:41 1h 55m Meetup ♥ 1 This was a really cool idea! I like the creative interpretation of the theme! However, I had problems remembering what the people I was supposed to avoid looked like. I also think it would be cool if there was a score counter that showed how long I avoided people or how many people I avoided. Really good, especially for a first entry!
May 3 21:01:02 4m 21s Shrinking Planet ♥ 0 Very entertaining! I really like the shader work. The way that the motion blur interacts with your grass shader just looks very nice.
May 3 22:49:00 1h 47m Solar Wind ♥ 1 This was super cool. I enjoyed just flying around and seeing all the different planets. I found the physics a bit confusing though. I don't know if it was because of bugs or if I was just having trouble understanding it.
May 3 22:54:35 5m 35s For The Love Of Money ♥ 0 At first I thought the controls were a bit floaty, but the more I played the more I appreciated how consistent they were. I enjoyed this game a lot.
May 3 23:01:53 7m 18s Throw ♥ 0 I really liked this. Seeing the world get get tethered and pulled back to the goal is super satisfying. This might be cool on mobile.
May 5 01:43:05 26h 41m Game Prototype ♥ 2 There were some cool things here. I liked the really big aliens that attacked. It added some nice variation. I think the most obvious avenue for improvement is with sound effects and then maybe some different types of ammo.
May 5 01:54:35 11m 30s Fast & Faeries ♥ 1 I really liked the way the forest looked. The jumping mechanic was cool, but I wish there was more strategy other than just "jump all the time."
May 5 02:40:06 45m 31s MF100 - HACK THE JAM (old console emulator) ♥ 2 This is pretty cool! I encountered a crashing bug when I tried to run some Lua code with that had a typo though.
May 5 17:35:41 14h 55m FREEDUMB! ♥ 1 This was hilarious. I loved it!
May 6 23:00:13 29h 24m Planet Ravagers ♥ 0 The sprite work was nice. I think the game could benefit from more variation in mechanics. Maybe you could add some new weapon or enemies.
May 7 22:26:22 23h 26m Petri World ♥ 0 This was pretty cool. I liked the cell splitting animation a lot. I think it would be more interesting if there was a bit more depth to the simulation and/or if it was developed into a game of some sort.
May 8 17:19:37 18h 53m Extension ♥ 1 This is a cool idea, but I couldn't get past the second puzzle. The game opens in a really tiny window for me (it can't be more than 320x240) and I can barely make out the letters on the little card on the ground. I tried the puzzle for quite a bit of time, and I wasn't able to get past it. It might just be me missing something really obvious though... I'm not sure.
May 15 19:58:01 170h 38m Mini Shaders ♥ 1 This is awesome! I love zachtronics games (we made a zach-like too...) and this was a really cool twist to their formula. It took me a while to figure out that all the variables were lower case since the font only has upper-case letters. It would save some frustration if the variables could be upper or lower case. I thought the music and the art fit really well (though I think the scanning lines looked a bit odd when they went underneath the output area, but that's just a nitpick). I think some of the initial confusion could be mitigated by having a help screen that can fit more words. It also took me longer than I'd like to admit to grasp the way comparisons worked. Something like the +/- system in Shenzen I/O would probably make that a bit easier to understand. I also liked the score screen at the end: I got 3,3,5,6,5. I'll probably comeback later and come up with better some better solutions. Overall really great!
May 17 23:53:39 51h 55m The Village Helpers ♥ 1 This was pretty cool. It would be a major improvement if there was audio and visual feedback when collecting resources (like a sound effect when you hit a piece of rock).
May 17 23:59:53 6m 14s Blobbery ♥ 1 This was pretty interesting. I liked the music and the graphics, but it didn't control very well. I think the hold-to-jump was a bit problematic as it made fine movement very difficult. It also made avoiding the spiky guys a bit of a chore.
May 18 00:10:04 10m 11s Space Race ♥ 1 This was really cool. I loved the graphics. I've seen lots of small planet platforms, but this one feels pretty unique to play. I found the game fairly difficult, which is fine, but I think a lot of that difficulty was the result of not knowing where I was going and having issues with the controls. It might be easier to fly if the mouse was used to control the direction of the astronauts. I also think the game would benefit form a tutorial. Overall really great!
May 19 07:01:38 30h 51m Super Collapse Guy ♥ 1 Really cool! Reminds me of both Fez and another game jam game from a while back called perspective. I did find it a bit difficult to tell exactly how the collapse would work (i.e where the platforms would be on the screen), but it was never a big enough issue to impact my enjoyment of the game!
