I agree : more a visual story than a game, but I can tell you that the story was compelling enough to make me go on and the dialogs are really good. With some improvement on interactivity this can work very well even with simple graphics.
Like the others already said, the story was really nice; and i love story games. It reminded me a bit of *"Thomas was alone"*. The game was a bit short and the interactive parts where not that interesting. I just want to add that i really like that cover! It looks just like an album cover.
@testlab @tommyflower @gerardb
Thank you all! I will have to think about how to add some more interactivity should I ever do a post ludum dare remake.
I wish it was a bit longer. I wanted to see where it was going, but then it was over before I knew it. I really liked it though. I don't mind 'walking simulators' (I didn't even know 2D ones existed until now), so I'm rating purely on the story and presentation. While the story was pretty good, the presentation needs a bit of work. It looked a bit too 'MSPainty' for my tastes, but it was servicable. Good work overall!
Pretty insteresting, maybe better with some simple puzzle mechanics relating movement
I agree with everybody else. It lacks interesting interactions, but the story was cute and I enjoyed the mood it sets.
And I would definitely check out a post ludum dare remake.
The story was really cute... Overall I really liked it. I think it could benefit from more interactive mechanics that serve the story though. I do think the mechanics that were there were goods ideas (like being able to choose to go to Scotland or not, or the second level controlling two characters). The simple art style was also really nice.
This is a nice story game, but it miss something... More image, or interaction, cause it's really just a story! The music is good! Good work on it
Wow - this was intriguing - and very different. Seemed like the beginning of a great game - please continue and make it bigger and longer. I'd love to know what happens in this story - it really hooked me in.
Nice story, was very relaxing to just sit down and play.
Nice story, but I can't see the game
Awww - what a sweet little story! I enjoyed the mood of the whole thing and I appreciate you properly attributing the fonts and music. The music really set the mood well so that was a good choice. Hope to see more from you in the future!
Nice try!, take a look to my game you will like too!
niec - story is so nice good job
That was weird but... really adorable and sweet :D
Congratulations on making your first game by the way!
This was really nice, and I appreciated that it was kept abstract the whole way through. While I agree it needs a little something more, I can see how hard it would be to come up with what. A possible thought I had would be making the stars only appear as you walk by them, and needing to paint in a certain amount of them before the level exit appears. Perhaps you could go further then and have them split up at certain points to help paint the stars faster?
Either way, congratulations on your first game!
While not being much of a game I really liked the relaxing mood. It's quite different from many other LD entries.
@zelos Thank you! I will improve the graphics when I make a post ludum dare version. @kevtukk Thank you! I will announce any releases of a remake here. @bunnery Thank you! I will definitely be working more with these characters. @scornz Thank you! I am glad you could relax with this game! @dark-power Thanks. Since it was my first time I focused more on story, now that I know more about how much I can do I will certainly make more in depth mechanics for future ludum dare efforts. @candlesan Thank you! And I do hope to make more games! @lord-bobyness thank you very much! @rockhoppergames Thank you! That is an interesting idea (and Ellen, at least, would be willing to do that!) @aggrathon Thank you! @r8berto, @vivoubos and @spaceman Thanks! I am thinking of how to add more interaction and puzzles already.
